Absolutely fantastic. Steak Pizza and Pappardielle Filetto were phenomenal. Desserts and cocktails were also outstanding. Staff were lovely. Had us cracking up for most of our visit. Highly recommended.
First meal out after lockdown and we had a great time. Food was amazing including some very generous portions. My kids really enjoyed the children's menu too. Very pleased. Will definitely be back.
Staff were amazing, food was delicious and the restaurant was clean and well organised. We were welcomed with a smile and the door held open, the Manager Guy was on hand and made us feel very welcome. All the staff were dressed well and couldn't be more helpful. Menu was varied and easy to understand. The staff were always aware we were there and kept our drinks full. The Steak was cooked just the way I liked it (medium-rare) as was the Chicken Supreme (special of the day) I could go on but my personal experience in this Restaurant was without disappointment. Highly recommended
The food was delicious specially the pizza was soo tasty😍lovely place and the staff was very friendly and professional. Such a lovely dinner we had thank you so much😊
We were well looked after and everyone enjoyed their pizza, pasta, burgers, coffee and desserts. Looking forward to visiting again.
Great place to go if you love Italian food, the restaurant is immaculate and very homely, the food was very good if not a little slow to come out but when it did arrive as I said it was really good, I got the Calamari, Steak Sandwich with Homemade Fries, Chilli Broccoli and for desert Sticky Toffee Pudding, the only negative was my first 2 choices of starter were not available and service to start with was quit slow, over all though the whole family had a brilliant time and all thought the food was amazing, to top the night of the restaurant sent out a sparkling candle desert for our 16 year old sons birthday, thank you and would highly recommend Luci's if you want good authentic Italian food 👍
Lovely meal and delicious cocktail. Very good service too. Used great Itison deal too.
Only had room for 2 courses, food was like the staff... OUTSTANDING
Had our works Christmas night out in Luci's last night and wow!!! Food, drinks & service 10/10✨🎄
First time visiting today and what a lovely meal we had. My wife thought the pesto was the best thing she's ever tasted and my GF pizza was delicious. Recommended!
Really cozy atmosphere, and the staff are really accommodating! Really nice service, good food and reasonable prices! Highly recommended
We went there for breakfast during Christmas break for first time. We were impressed with the food as I could tell the ingredients were so fresh. We decided to visit for breakfast again today. The food and service quality were very good still. The pancakes were so fluffy. Luci is definitely a hidden gems in Lasswade.
it’s the first time we’ve been at this restaurant and we were very impressed. Service was great and waitress was lovely.
Great restaurant with lovely food and service. Nice focused wine list and they actually had #Frangelico. Staff were very supportive to my mother who was in a wheelchair. The disabled spaces were all taken and that made it a bit difficult.
Went for lunch, great little place will be back to try more of the menu!
Went today as a chance 4, sat in the bar with a couple other tables. Staff were professional & accommodating. Young waiter Reece couldn’t have done more for us 5* service all round!! Ross behind the bar was shaking & mixing the best cocktails I’ve tasted for a long time! Food was top class. Lamb lasagne was amazing, best food I’ve tasted locally in a long time 😃
Along the busy winding High Street in Lasswade, Luci’s Italian Restaurant & Cocktail Bar seamlessly blends gastronomic delights with scenic charm. As you step inside, you’ll be greeted by an inviting atmosphere that seamlessly blends rustic charm with modern elegance. The cosy interior, adorned with tasteful decor, sets the stage for a memorable meal. Luci’s pride themselves on quality ingredients. Sourcing the freshest ingredients, ensuring an authentic taste in every bite is extremely important to them. Luci’s menu is a celebration of Italian cuisine, featuring classic dishes prepared with love and attention to detail. The crispy fried calamari was perfectly cooked in a light batter and fried to perfection. The texture was tender yet slightly chewy, with a satisfying crunch. The sea-saltiness of the calamari paired beautifully with the tangy Amalfi lemon and chive aioli. When you dipped the calamari into this aioli, there was a harmonious blend of citrus, creaminess, and savoury goodness. This dish offered a delightful balance of textures and flavours—crispy, zesty, and herb-infused. It’s a taste of the Mediterranean with a Scottish twist! The delicate, paper-thin slices of Prosciutto di Parma were velvety, salty, and slightly nutty, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The richness of the prosciutto pairs beautifully with the other components of the aged balsamic and the gnocci fritti (puffed up fried gnocci). The Stracchino Cheese was creamy, mild, and slightly tangy but so complementary to the prosciutto. This dish offers a harmonious blend of textures and flavours—savoury, sweet, and herbaceous. It’s a celebration of Italian simplicity and quality ingredients! Burrata salad (£7) - Salad of fresh baby tomatoes, burrata cheese, rocket & aged balsamic. A delightfully Summery salad. The half burrata was soft, creamy and starting to ooze out over the rocket. The baby tomatoes were bursting with sweetness and the peppery and slightly bitter rocket balanced the creaminess of the burrrata. Chicken Parmigiana (£18) - Tenderised chicken breast coated in Grana Padano and breadcrumbs then fried in butter and lemon, warm burrata cheese fresh Pachino tomato sauce & fresh basil. The chicken breast was juicy and succulent, and the coating of Grana Padano and breadcrumbs added a crispy, savoury layer. You could taste the richness of the butter and the zestiness of the lemon whilst another burrata ball oozed out its mild, milky, luxurious centre over the chicken and pasta. This Chicken Parmigiana was a harmonious blend of textures and flavours—crunchy, cheesy, and comforting. Beef short rib Pasta (£18) - Handmade egg paradelle, Slow braised short rib, San Marzano tomato & red wine ragu. The wide, ribbon-like pasta was tender, slightly chewy, and absorbed the rich sauce beautifully. The slow-braised short rib was fall-apart tender, having simmered for hours, and you could taste the savoury essence of red wine and sweet, tangy San Marzano tomatoes. The ragu enveloped the pasta, creating a luscious coating. This dish is comforting, hearty, and utterly satisfying! My dining experience at Luci’s was thoroughly enjoyable. Despite the busy service, the well-arranged tables allowed for comfortable conversation. The staff, warm and friendly, added to the overall positive atmosphere. Whether you’re seeking a romantic dinner, a lively evening with friends, or simply a place to unwind, Luci’s awaits with open arms and a menu that celebrates the best of Italian and Scottish hospitality.
We went here for lunch with friends the other day. It was our first time since the new ownership/refurb and we were very impressed with the design and and how immaculate it looked. The gent that served us was very friendly and helpful. The Sunday menu was new and caters for most diets. Most items were reasonably priced. Portion sizes were good and were well presented. I had the gnocchi which was very tasty. Quite possible the best gnocchi I’ve ever had. I got the haggis bon bons for a side and also the steamed broccoli with almonds. Both of which were excellent. For dessert I got the tart which was also nice. Others in the party also enjoyed their meals and couldn’t really fault it. We’ll for sure be back. Is it better than Gigi’s? Hmm…good question.
⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Definitely six stars This is an excellent restaurant Recently got new owners and they’ve made the place much better, very stylish modern decor and great background music👍🎶 the staff are all excellent and friendly with very efficient service. The food is definitely the prize here tho by I presume very experienced and competent chef’s with a very nice menu. A really enjoyable visit and will definitely return😋
I’ve really enjoyed Luci’s lunch & dinner in the past and recently tried their new brunch menu and it was fantastic! Really well prepared and delicious - one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had!
One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food is amazing. The staff is lovely. Can’t recommend the place enough.
Wow!..what a place to eat!...thought I'd booked a table online but it hadn't gone through,I didn't realise this. We turned up for our 7.30pm table to be told we weren't booked in and they were full.Russoff, who greeted us, invited my partner and I in for a drink and said he'd organise a table if we didn't mind waiting. Within 25 mins we were sat at a table and ready to order. The food was absolutely amazing from start to finish, the staff who looked after us, Freddie and Natalie, were both professional and friendly. There were only 2 chefs working that night who were superb 👏. From walking through the door, it was an absolutely fantastic experience. Credit to all the staff involved and the quality of the food. A 5 🌟 experience.
We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary last night at Luci’s Lasswade. We had a wonderful evening good food and atmosphere. The staff sorted out an initial problem with grace and calml.Thank you
A little noisy when arriving but soon quietened as ppl left. Food was lovely and service very good. Nothing was a problem for them. Will def be back. I was impressed with the varied menu and choice of gluten free dishes
Great pizza!! Very welcoming and kid friendly. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back and try the pasta as it looked delicious 😋
We have lived relatively near to Luci’s for years but never got round to paying them a visit until a recent birthday lunch. We are so glad we did. We were looked after well from the moment we arrived, particularly by Drai our waiter, who was very helpful and his menu recommendations. We’re spot on! The menu, all rustic Italian and seasonal, was fantastic and we tried enough between two of us that we had to take some away in boxes. We look forward to going back again later in the year to see how the seasonal menu evolves.
Visited for a surprise birthday meal and we had an amazing time at Luci's. The food was delicious and even though there was 11 of us, we were all served quickly and at the same time. The service we received was great and even though the restaurant was quiet, the atmosphere was lovely. We love coming to Luci's and being there for a special occasion was fantastic
Called for a reservation 6.30 for 7pm and could accommodate us which was amazing. Arrived and was seated, had drinks food order, food served and eaten and was finished by 7.45pm!! Amazing. Restaurant has a great atmosphere, music selection is soulful and staff are friendly and knowledgeable! The food was probably the best Italian I have eaten in a while! The house special rigatoni was delicious and he truffle and Parmesan fries are a must! We didn’t know before booking but during January they have 50% off pasta and pizza so we wee definitely surprised and was definitely will be back!
Booked on off chance, and seated in bar. Our server Bruno was very helpful and polite. Garlic bread for starter, best we have tasted. Pasta dishes very good. Drinks were very good. Good service, fabulous location with a great view of river, Had been before but not with new management. Will be back.
Food is delicious and exactly what you'd hope from the description. Wait staff were very good with two children aged 2 and under. They also have colouring pencils and kids menu, with a competition on the back to win a £30 voucher each month. Slight inconvenience is the limited (and bumpy) parking, available at the front of the restaurant.
First time in Luci's for lunch and won't be the last time we visit. My wife's steak was cooked to perfection and my pepperoni pizza was delicious. Kevin who looked after us today with 5* service was a perfect host. Look forward to many more visits. Only downside is lack of disabled parking..
First time in this place, cannot fault it. All food cooked from scratch, the quality was fantastic, even better than what we sampled in Naples last month. The two front of house were very polite. Will happily go back to this fabulous restaurant. Highly recommend!!
This was the first time my friend and I had visited Luci’s and it won’t be the last. I would definitely recommend, not only the aesthetically pleasing surroundings (super clean all amenities), the relaxed, chilled atmosphere and the wonderful food and drinks. The very friendly services was the icing on the cake. Especially Chloe who made our night, she took great care of us and is a wonderful asset to Luci’s. If you’ve not been yet then go. Highly recommend.
We had a fantastic meal at Luci's. The menu had a great choice and the service was excellent. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We will be back soon.
The food is the headline -Carbonara and Salted Caramel Cake was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Bonnie modern looking restaurant with a lot to like. I think I prefer the food here to Gigi's. The lad at the door was about as welcoming as a hole in lifeboat but everyone else was excellent. I would recommend this place
Enjoyed a lovely wee night with my husband at Lucis. The 50% off in January deal is fantastic value for money, and were delighted when the waiter informed us of this deal! I had the Quattro Fromaggi pizza, and my partner had Spaghetti Alla Carbonara. Both were beautiful, and the pizza had a great strong cheese flavour (which is exactly what I wanted!). We also had a side of Truffle & Parmesan Fries to share, which were very crisp and tasty. The staff were very professional and polite, however the only very small issue we had was we waited a while for a menu and to order a drink after being seated. You also had to be quick in catching a member of staff to order another. Overall, a lovely meal and would recommend to others.
I've been recommended this restaurant by so many people, I decided to finally take a friend for her birthday. It was definitely worth the hype, the place is lovely, easy to get to (the bus stops right outside which was a fab bonus) and the food was incredible! We got a couple of cocktails which I did think were sightly expensive considering 1 was about 80% ice, but nothing super outrageous, and they tasted great so I didn't mind too much as it was a treat! Only a couple of tiny things made me score it less than 5 stars- it was a Saturday night so pretty busy which means it was quite loud and a little difficult to get service or attention at certain times (which is absolutely understandable), and again the price was a little more than I would have thought for what we ordered. But overall- a very nice place and if you want somewhere fancier while avoiding town its perfect! I will definitely be recommending it to other people myself!
We had a slightly haphazard meal at Luci’s last night. There was an unexpected delay in getting our table then they had run out of steaks, unusual for a Saturday night. However, they recognised without prompting that we had not had our usual experience. Starters arrived for free as soon as we sat down and then they comped all of our drinks: a gesture above and beyond the slight inconvenience we experienced. You know they care about their guests, and of course we will be back.
Had lunch with family. Food was good service was good parking is very limited only 3 or 4 spaces. Nice selection of food all cooked very well
Food was good, flavours were put together really well. Service however was really not good.
Average pasta really. Lovely customer service, very articulate. Cocktails were very strong, at least you knew they had alcohol in them!!
Was there for fathers day. Excellent steak, friendly service.
We got good parking across the bridge behind Lucy’s. There is lovely decor and some lovely cocktails & mocktails. Starters of bruschetta & squid were tasty 4/5. I had rigatoni arrabiata for main. It was pretty poor with quite a dry sauce & crunchy chillies. Friends had pacchieri salsiicia ( pasta) and said it was really tasty. We had to ask for Parmesan & waited for ages…. For dessert I ordered pavlova & received a few meringues. Sticky toffee pudding was nice but came served with chocolate ice-cream as they had run out of vanilla. In essence, I was disappointed with Lucia’s tonight having had several good nights there
Had breakfast recently here for my birthday and for how small your portions are it’s very overpriced. My kids got a pancake stack which only consisted of two pancakes. It’s a shame as I don’t think we will be back for food. I have attended one of their boozy brunches which was very good!
Have been for here for cocktails and that was great. Friendly staff. Would like to be able to come here for food as I live in Lasswade, however my partner and I are vegan and there are pretty much no vegan options (focaccia and side portion of vegetables is about it) which is a real shame. These days almost all restaurants have at least one decent vegan main option (even the traditional pub over the road does!) so I feel Luci’s need to up their game.
Lovely setting, nice trendy decor and spotlessly clean. Varied menu, lots to choose from. Food average priced, if only it tasted nice! We may have just been unlucky with our order as food was a massive let down. Pasta was not served as stated on the menu, it was an oily, tasteless bland mess. The pizza was average and not cooked in the middle, other diners we spoke to were very dissatisfied with their food, and they had different dishes from ours. I picked this restaurant for a friend who was from out of town and was I embarrassed at the standard of food we were served. Waitress was faultless and saved our lunch date from being complete disaster. :(
I read some encouraging reviews about this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try and visit. I ordered a pizza that looked terrible and tasted even worse. In one part it was completely burnt, while the middle was undercooked and it looked like a mess. In my opinion, it was the worst pizza I have ever eaten in my life, and for the first time ever I didn’t finish it. I do not recommend the pizza. As compensation, they didn’t charge us for two slices of garlic bread, which were also burnt. Not recommended!
Appalling. The lady who took us to our table and served us drinks was very unfriendly and hardly spoke to us or smiled. After we had our main we were left for 30 minutes unattended and when the waiter did and we asked for the bill, there was no friendly communication about dessert or coffee. And it was almost empty. Anna the waitress who served us briefly was lovely but I most certainly would not go back or recommend. Very poor indeed.
All in all a poor service, no atmosphere, was like being there was a chore, food terrible and a service charge added even though there wasn’t a service provided- not tecommmded -
Food was bland we ordered garlic bread what a rip off one slice of bread with some cheese no garlic
