Best Mexican food since I have been in California (22 years). The Camarones a la Diabla are extraordinary. Also, the table salsa is unsurpassed. Prices are totally reasonable too!
Had the chicken and beef fajitas. Huge portion. I ate it by myself but I could maybe see myself sharing it. Food was good. Service was great.
My Pop's and I go frequently for their menudo. Very good and exceptional portion/price. Highly recommend. A very small dining area, but it adds to the charm.
Went here on my birthday, very nice service and comfy atmosphere. Got free chips and spicy salsa before ordering. Food could have been faster but worth the wait. Overall 5 stars 10/10 small ma and pop shop.
Small, local, quaint. The food is very good-sized.
My wife loves Mexican food and we have been looking for a great place for Mexican food its not a chain or pretentious or extravagant this place is a great place. The best places are the small ones and this is a gem. The price and the amount of food is superb. We have found our go to from now on.
Just got the chicken burrito 5 stars! Lots of construction guys going through so food is fresh! Polite service. Just beer & soda that I could see for drinks. Fast service, reasonable prices. Small place so dont expect to sit 10 at 1 table.
Well it's a majestic and authentic lil nook in Lincoln that's hid away like a precious gem. Service was excellent the servers were excellent the food was excellent. Need I say anything else? The only way to make it any better is for you all to try it yourselves. Prices were reasonable and the amount of food was the amount I would serve my self at home. Thank you ladies for making our first time experience and enjoyable one. Again thank you.
Good hole in the wall Mexican food for such a small town. Its always pretty busy and the service is great. Good chips and salsa along with a good main course menu. Give it a try, I think you will be satisfied!
The food here is amazing. The Nachos are the best dish, you can never grow tire of them. Overall the food is great here. Staff are very nice and the place is always clean. It is a cute location in downtown Lincoln.
Take out order was awesome. Wet burrito was huge and delicious. Al pastor and asada mixed. Love this place! Prices are great too.
Excellent food and great prices. Despite being a little busy, our food came out quickly after ordering. They make their salsa in-house and it's AMAZING, I highly recommend buying some to take home with you.
I absolutely love this place. The specials are always a great deal. The salsa alone is delicious. Their tacos are absolutely jam-packed with meat and service is always fast and friendly. Hands down my fave Mexican place in town
Best Mexican in Lincoln. We've had to order at a couple of other joints in Lincoln because we were a little too late but they never compare. Best burritos and nachoes! I haven't dined in yet, but the little place is always packed and the more traditional menu items look amazing! Ambiance is not their strong suit, but great food and friendly service is what you go for.
The food here is excellent for taste & price! I keep expecting another location to pop up but after 20 years, I am rather doubtful that the owners do not want that headache, it sure seems to make tons of profit!!!! I would recommend this place to everyone, it is so good!!
Awesome Place, Service, and Food! I got a burrito but mentioned that I would come back to try their menudo. Without asking the cashier brought me a sample to try and it was 10/10 Definitely coming back!
I love this place! Great customer service every time! Not to mention the food is phenomenal! The flautas and street tacos are awesome!
Their food is delicious. My personal favorites are the Carne asada tacos and the super burrito -which is huge! The salsa is super good. Im gonna see if theynwill sell a container of it! Great prices too! Basic seating inside but there's also shady places to sit outside in the courtyard around the side. It's become a weekly tradition. I tip well, they deserve it.
This place completely meets the definition of a great hole-in-the-wall eatery. Please don’t let the humble location and unassuming facade deter you from some of the best Mexican food in the area. The food is just flavorful, authentic, and just down right good. Their tacos are so good, burritos just the same, but don’t you dare not try the enchiladas!
A little gem on a side street in downtown Lincoln California. We were going to some other restaurant when we said let's try this. What a pleasant surprise. Only 6 tables (4 in use due to covid) but great food at very reasonable price. And so.e if the best coffee we have had in a while. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. A nice surprise on a Sunday morning
Great food and very inexpensive. The taste of the food is top notch.
Great spot. Food was awesome
Nice little Mexican food place. I had the Al pastor burrito. The meat was cut up smaller but had a nice crispy to it. Chips and salsa we're good.
Very nice place. Clean inside and outside. They responded to call really fast. Good burritos, especially with beef.

Food is good, flavorful and big servings. My rating for the service is for a really busy period but I can't give them a 5 unless I experienced it. The roasted chili oil they gave me is really good. I need to know what it's called!
Authentic Mexican food! It’s always fresh, and tasty. The employees are always kind and friendly, you won’t be disappointed.
Love this family owned business The food is so delicious amazing Authentic mexican food A+ it’s a must they put alot of love into the recipes.
Huge mission style burrito! Amazing flavor, incredible Salsas. Best burrito in Reno by far
Everything is delicious here and reasonably priced. The ceviche is my favorite; hard to find fresh well made ceviche with fish. We’ve been cooking here 10 years maybe. We have used them for catering as well which I will do again. The staff have great customer service skills on the phone and for dine in. This is our go to for a Friday right night. Appreciate this little gem in Lincoln.

Pastor is made with bbq sauce, which was very unexpected. Would not order again, but food was good enough to come back and try something else. Very kind service.
The food is delicious and very authentic. If you are in the area, it's 100% worth sitting down for a meal.
Very fast service and good food. The carnitas were nice and crispy, the tortillas were thin and hot. The chili verde was reported to be quite good, also. The beans and rice were fine, but didn't stand out. Big lunch for $12.95, we had enough for dinner, too.
This tiny restaurant next to the Beermann plaza can be easy to miss. From the outside the exterior looks like a little house. But they are a family ran taqueria serving up traditional, classic Mexican dishes. Overall, it's a solid dining option when I find myself in Lincoln. The interior is smallish, with a dining area with about six 4 person tables and two 2 person tables. It's cozy for sure. I popped in for a late mid afternoon weekend lunch, so it wasn't busy. The complimentary chips tasted and looked fresh fried. Crisp yumminess without the oiliness. The red salsa was delicious; flavorful with a bit of non spicy kick. The cerviche tostada was fantastic. Yum. Fresh flavors. It was a bit wet though, so I put a napkin underneath to soak up the wetness to slow down the tostada from getting overly wet and falling apart. The cerviche tostada was $5.99. The shredded beef in the crispy taco had good basic flavor. The one item combo with beans and rice is priced at $10.99, two items $12.99, and three items $14.99.
Don't know about the food as we didn't stay for that but the racing seemed to be very well organized and the kids had a blast! There were different sized cars for kids and adults and races were either groups of kids or older kids/adults, they do not race together. Instructions and helmets are provided.

Its a tiny restaurant with pretty good food. Pretty consistent quality but I find the meat to be lacking in some places. Although I find it more easy to get Take-out just because there's like 9 tables so if its a peak hour it might be hard to get Dine in.
I’ve lived in Lincoln for 3 years. I tried every Mexican Restaurant in Lincoln 3 years back and found Los Gallos to be my “go to.” The food is pretty good and the salsa is really good. Except lately there has been a major issue. I usually order “to-go” and that is normally no problem. As you wait for your to/go order, you can see what people who dine-in eat and look at their order. Lately it seems the owner is really sticking it to the to-go customers. Look at the chips and salsa that a dine-in customer gets.. now divide that by 5.. that’s now what a to-go customer gets. I always thought that ordering to-go helped out a business like this because we don’t take up 1 of the 8 tables and we tip still. But in the end, taken advantage of I guess. Lately I’ve been going to Trés Hermanos. They have a salsa bar that is free with any order and the salsas are pretty darn good and you can get enough for your food.
Love the place so much. Love the food and the service. But I am so tired how stingy, they are with the salsa.

As a party of four, we waited about five minutes to be acknowledged and about 35 minutes for our food after we ordered. The table next to us was a party of seven, and they received their food before us - even though they came into the restaurant about ten minutes after we did. We didn't even get our drinks until we asked for them about 15 minutes after we ordered. With our drinks, the waitress delivered more chips. The restaurant is small with six tables inside. Sounds reverberate off the floor and walls, so it is rather difficult to hold a conversation when the restaurant is at full occupancy. While the food was very good, I wish I could say the food was worth the wait. The tamale barely had any meat in it - it was mostly the corn outer wrap. The taco was very good and the refried beans were hot. I might return someday just to try again with the how that today's visit was an anomaly, which is why I gave them three stars instead of two.
I was really looking forward to trying this place because I had gotten some recommendations for it from some friends, as well as it having good reviews. While it was a clean place, the food was fresh, and the people we decently nice, the food had no spice or flavor... like they used nothing to flavor it. Not the meat, even the salsa really. The meat tasted like it was cooked in straight oil with nothing else. and the Spanish rice had about the same flavor profile... I was really disappointed and confused because I look to a hole in the wall place like this to have amazing food and this cuisine to have good flavor for their meat and rice, etc... I will give this place another try someday down the road, probably a different dish than what I had today, and hope that I have a different experience. Good thing Lincoln has a plethora of Mexican places, hopefully one of the others will be worth my while.
The food was alright. It was definitely not something to rave about. We tried tacos, torta, ceviche tostada, and flan. The only thing that was worth a shout out was the ceviche. It was pretty great, but everything else was just okay. The restaurant was tiny, so we felt awkward talking amongst our table. There was also no salsa bar. They did bring out a small serving of chips and salsa, which was good but nothing special. The prices were a little on the high side as well.

I came in during a busy time and the restaurant was full, but there was no signage indicating whether to seat yourself or order at the counter. A gentleman walked past me several times before finally acknowledging me and asking if my order was for here or to go. I said I’d like to eat there, and he pointed to a dirty table and said I could sit there and he’d clean it in a minute. I ordered a super burrito with al pastor (no rice, no pico) and a soda. After sitting down, I received a burrito that I’m fairly certain was not al pastor—more like asada—and it had a lot of pico in it. I still hadn’t received my soda, so I had to get up and ask for it, and I was met with some attitude when I did. When he handed me the soda, he immediately turned around and walked away, so I didn’t have a chance to ask about the incorrect order. I don’t mind asada, so I ate it anyway, even though I dislike tomatoes. Overall, the experience felt disorganized, I received the wrong order, and the service was not welcoming. I’m sure the food can be good since they have solid reviews, but based on this visit, I won’t be returning
Love the place so much. Love the food and the service. But I am so tired how stingy, they are with the salsa. Also note they close at 8 on Saturday nights. Stop seating inside at 7:30pm.
I had called to place a to go order. I was placed on hold for 15 min. I ended up needing to drive there to place the order. When asked why was I hung up on I was told that its a phone issue....unfortunately it has not been the first time this has been done to me. All these other orders were ready to be picked up. I just found it convenient that the phone works for others. It's just not right. Sad to say I will no longer be going here. I hope everyone else has a better experience than what I have had.
The worst asada I've ever had and mexican food in general. The service was terrible and I heard the cashier talk about my table under her breath in spanish which I understood. I will not come back or recommend this food to anyone.
We order few burritos and surprise. We are Mexican we expect good food. Asada burritos only rice and meet no cream or beans the salsa only tomato. No going back to this place. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽😤
DONT PAY WITH A CHECK!! My family and I have frequented Los Gallos for over a year and a half since moving to Lincoln, loves their food, so much so that we had them cater my daughters 2nd birthday party last September18 2021. Everything was great , we paid with a check and thought we were done…… Fast forward to this morning Aug 7,2022 and we woke up to find that they JUST cashed the check that we had written them. When looking at the check online we realized the date had been been changed from 9-18-21 to 7-18-22. So I took myself down to the restaurant after not being able to get in touch with the owner over the phone. One of the employees got in touch with him and he showed up shorty after with his wife. After explaining that I knew the check date had been changed they tried to explain that they lost the check and that the amount was the same and it was fine and that I was in some way out of line. Yes you were owed $380 , and you were paid when I picked up the food. The fact that you lost the check for a year doesn’t mean you can just change the date to make the check valid again and cash it without contacting me. After the owner telling me that the check just cleared and that it was all a misunderstanding, they admitted to changing the date, then once I pointed out that I had never initialed the corrections the conversation ended and the owner handed me the $380 in cash. We literally ate there or got takeout at least once a week and now with their not so honest behavior and arrogant attitudes this morning they have lost loyal customers that spread the word about their food to everyone in town.
The food is great, if they get your order done correctly. In my experience, that's about 70% of the time. The truly unfortunate thing is that the owner and employees have NO customer service skills. They don't remember customers that have been coming for years and order the same thing. When the order is wrong, you'll never get a phone call back from anyone and all the employees there will do is apologize and offer you to come right back (since there is no manager ever on site).
To order to walk in 20 minute wait... when asked by too many orders in front of you all call ins. Asked if they paid yet ? No, I'm standing in front of you ready to pay and you ask me to wait 20 minutes. Chips & salsa used to come with it in small amount it was fine. Now you must pay an order of 13.00 to get them now. Single person order one item is less than that....Don't give them your hard earned money for this kind of service....
