Rosies is an absolute gem!!! Price is right. Portions are large and cooked to perfection!! The wait staff /bussers and rosie herself are refreshingly friendly and fun. This intimate diner makes for cheerful and fun interaction between the patrons as well. It is like being at a family dinner!!! Love it here!!

Popped into this little diner by Onondaga Lake. Very good standard diner food with some surprising additions like the apple fritter French toast. I enjoyed some blueberry pancakes. The blueberries were so fresh. Good coffee. The best part was the service, Rosie was right there with a smile and the regulars who weren't afraid to say hello, crack a joke, and shake a hand! If there is one thing I love, it’s a GOOD diner breakfast; Rosie’s makes a GREAT diner breakfast. The prices are perfect for those who budget or just like getting a lot for a little. The portions are big enough for 2 on their own plus the flavors are well worth the calories. Try their mashed potato omelette and add ham—fanTASTIC! And the employees are always sweet, courteous and treat you well.

This place is everything you could ever hope for in a diner. Food was impeccable. My coffee was always full. The staff had the regulars laughing the whole time. We waited for all of 8 minutes for your food. It was exactly what we needed on our drive to the Adirondack mountains. This place is right off the interstate so an easy opportunity to jump right back on your journey

Always a good choice. They do breakfast and lunch. Servers are very friendly. It has a small town-like atmosphere as a lot of regulars go here. The food is fantastic. There is sometimes a wait around 11 or so for a table but usually there are a few counter spots open. Check them out

My 2 friends and myself who have lived in syracuse our whole lives and enjoy breakfast together once a week…have been here the past two Sunday mornings (Oct 5, 2024 & Oct 13,2024). Not only only has Trackside served us great breakfast but we had great waitresses both times—**Thank you Rosie & Sarah**. We have sat in a booth and at the counter…and eaten Bisques and Gravy breakfast bowl, Mash potato Omelette, Eggs Benny, Apple Fritter sandwich, and French Toast sandwich, also hash browns and homefries….can’t remember the other thing at the moment but remembering 5/6 is bad. :). Thanks for everything Trackside Staff!! So glad we found you!

We came in from out of town and immediately loved the atmosphere of the place! It’s so cute and cozy and everyone was so nice (: the food was AMAZING, the wait really wasn’t bad at all, they were pretty busy too but we got out food pretty quickly. Definitely will be back before we leave!

I don't often leave reviews, but when I find an absolute gem like this I can't help myself. Allan and Rosie are absolutely wonderful. They create an atmosphere of comfort for customer and employee alike. Portions are absolutely phenomenal (Try the Trackside Benny). Prices are fair. If you're in the area don't hesitate. Perfect spot for breakfast or lunch.

Food was done quickly, and the ingredients were not the lowest they could serve. Sausage was large and higher end then most links. Rye bread had actual swirls, as if from a bakery. The meatlovers omelets was delicious. Nice chunks of ham. I ate here because it was the most keto option I found around. Service was friendly and competent. Wish there was a little more space at the booths but that's due to location. Overall, awesome.

Small diner packed to the brim with kindness, love, and exactly the kind of "made by mother" type food that you'd expect. Perfect diner food with incredible service. Waitresses were the hardest working individuals I've ever seen. They were moving a mile a minute in a 800 square foot space. They asked how my food was and made it a point to chat about sausage options, even though the place was packed. As soon as I set down my coffee mug, it was immediately refilled. Waitresses treated every person in the room like family. Definitely need to make this place a usual stop on my way through Liverpool.

What a fun place for breakfast! Stopped there twice on a holiday weekend. The food was spectacular. The servers were friendly and helpful and the service was quick! Everything was cooked fresh and served hot. I got the last order of apple fritter French toast available one day and it was fabulous. Prices were very reasonable. I had no problem finding parking. If we're a local I'd be a regular patron!

This place has an amazing bacon cheese burger! That thing is huge and tasty. The bun was grilled perfectly. The server and cook were polite as can be and even though I only got a Togo order I felt extremely taken care of.

A great last minute find near our hotel for breakfast. The servers were very friendly and the atmosphere had a warm feel. We would definitely recommend this for a breakfast spot.

Rosie's Trackside Diner is incredible! I went with a friend on a Sunday during their rush hour and let me tell you how impressive their operation is. The place is small and yet somehow they do an incredible job managing the space, the pace and delivering a fantastic meal. The place is really cozy, with counter seating all around and tables along the outside edges. The staff is jammed into the middle and operating like a fine tuned machine. Let me not forget to mention how kind they are amidst the controlled chaos. We ordered French Toast, Pancakes, Bacon, home fries and hash browns. It would be insulting to say anything other than it was all made to perfection. The flavors were phenomenal and the fluffiness of the french toast and pancakes were dazzling. This appeared to be a, you can't go wrong kind of situation. This is a place that is easy to recommend for a beautiful and hearty breakfast. I am now curious about their lunch offerings and will certainly be back again soon. See you there, Enjoy!

We were welcomed and taken care of from the moment we walked in till we left. Our waitress was fantastic, and we were able to watch the cook from our table. The food was fantastic! Just had breakfast at Rosie's trackside diner. And as my 10 year old daughter just told me "Dad it was really good!" I just had a 5 oz sirloin steak three eggs and toast and home fries for like 14 bucks! She had the waffle combo with two eggs and bacon for like 13 bucks. Everything was cooked perfectly but that's not even the best part. It was the service! Everyone was so friendly from the moment we walked in and were greeted with enthusiasm to the owner sitting down and chit-chatting with my daughter and I asking what our plans for the day was. She even gave her a packet of gummies while we waited for our food to come up which by the way was damn near instantaneous. Final Bill for me and the kiddo? 30 bucks! I highly recommend Rosie's track side diner

This "trackside diner" has been a fixture in Liverpool for decades. The new owner bought it a year ago and still provides great food at a great value! I had the Pot Roast Omlette and my wife had the biscuit bowl, basically biscuits and gravey with egg and bacon on top. Both were delicious! The communication between the back and front of the house was both professional and a pleasure to hear! Our wait staff was awesome!!

Cute little diner. Excellent food and outstanding attentive service. The decor is train based with a railroad theme throughout. The home fries were outstanding, nice and thick and crispy. The onions were also thick cut, just the way I like them. I enjoyed the Trackside Benny which I highly recommend. My wife had a corned beef hash omelette, it sure looked good. Great food at reasonable prices. I liked the way the menu was done. The categories were railroad based which matched the theme of the diner. If you want an extremely enjoyable experience go to Rosie's for breakfast or lunch.

Found this little gem while in Syracuse for a concert. We walked in and it was packed (good sign). It took a little bit to get served but it was slammed. I found a great place for brunch today and am very satisfied in many ways! Here are my reasons: 1) Time Management + Customer Service: I believe the time it takes to be served after placing an order is crucial in any restaurant. I'm not suggesting service should be as quick as a fast food chain's, but I've often experienced extremely long waits, almost an hour, especially in diners during weekends. Since my visit was on a Sunday morning and the place was full of customers, I was concerned about a possible long wait. However, our welcoming server, Deanna, quickly took my order and kindly recommended options as I was contemplating among several choices. To my surprise, I received my food within 5 minutes. I was impressed and realized this efficiency was possible because all staff members were handling their responsibilities professionally and promptly. Therefore, I was very satisfied and wish to praise their professionalism. 2) Food: Naturally, food is also a crucial factor in evaluating restaurants. I tried the ‘Biscuit Bowl,’ which includes biscuits, eggs, potatoes, and bacon with a special sauce. It was delightful. The dish was neither too salty nor too sweet, striking a perfect balance. Several other menu items looked enticing, and I'm eager to try them next time. Overall, I'm thrilled to have discovered this place and to see everyone enjoying their meals. It's a joy to share this find.

This little gem is barely noticeable from traffic. If you do notice it, you wouldn't think it a diner. It is very small, but like they say, sometimes good things come in small packages The food was absolutely amazing. The best omelette I have ever had. Stopped in about 12:00pm on a Sunday. Was very busy. Might have been why our waitress seemed to be in a hurry and unpleasant. Would have given 5 stars otherwise. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again in the future!

Very friendly Hometown Diner. It's obvious everyone is very comfortable here is people are chatting and eating in a very happy atmosphere. They clean Empty Tables immediately which is helpful because people are coming and going all the time waitresses are spectacular in their memory and friendliness. There are a lot of specials that are worth trying listed on their boards. We had basic breakfast and it was certainly not skimpy perfectly done eggs perfectly done bacon and the coffee was extra hot which I really appreciate. Nice place to go for a lazy weekend morning breakfast or any day for that matter.

We stopped in today, a couple years since our last stop. It appears to be under new management and the previous decor has been completely eliminated. The current Train/Rail theme is consistent with the name and location next to the RR Tracks. Still primarily a breakfast location, we were there just before the fairly early closing time for lunch and were happily rewarded with a very good, unique, lemon chicken & rice soup, affordable & decent open faced Reuben. The large house salad & grilled chicken was also decent and affordable. Most of the specials were breakfast oriented and sounded as well as looked good. We won't hesitate to stop in for breakfast again, sooner rather than later. It is a small place, booths on 1 wall, with new plastic dividers and old fashioned counter seating are almost entirely the available seating options, with very limited availability of I think 2 taller & smaller pub style tables inside. Weather permitting, a few tables are now also available in the rear of the building, in the parking lot, directly adjacent to the door.

Small place, usually packed, headache- inducing noise level between diners and staff and open kitchen. Decent food at decent prices; good coffee. Skip the gritty pancake and order French toast.

Our meals were good, eggs were ok, ladies behind us had runny eggs and in that busy atmosphere I believe food will get pushed out sooner then it should. Toast was burnt and not full quarter pieces. So I ordered two more side's which were just burnt again. I realize the waitress was upset but damn I wasn't being rude my family just wanted toast we could enjoy. Slow down, take a breath and push out ediable food.

Absolutely delicious food. Had the roast beef sandwich and it was probably the best I’ve ever had. Friendly staff, prompt service. I didn’t even know this place was here and I’ve lived here for 4 years. No other diner in Syracuse even comes close. If I could eat here every day, I would. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I couldn’t believe how good the food was here. 100 stars. Edit: Just when I had found the perfect diner, they sold the place. The new owners didn’t keep the same people, and the food bears that out. Skip it. You’ll be disappointed now.

I’ve ordered here twice using their “spot-on” online ordering service. The first time I ordered 2 orders of 2 eggs and toast, only got one order and didn’t realize until I got back to my office. The second time was between Xmas and new years. I ordered and when I arrived they were closed, no one bothered to update the online ordering service before closing for several days? I called when they reopened to ask for a refund and was told they couldn’t give one unless I drive in to collect my refund in cash. Hire an experienced manager who knows how to oversee a restaurant.

What a shame about this diner. It was phenomenal when Al and Rosie owned it. Been going to this diner for years now and today (11/9/25) will be my last time. Service was awful, with exception to Sarah. Sat at counter the dishwasher not only put the bottle of dawn detergent right in front of me next to my coffee but put a wet dish cloth on counter on my phone. My server who wasn’t Sarah, but the server never offered menu and never even greeted us and was not the one that poured us the coffee. She walks up behind me and says very rudely. What would you like so we put our order in food came the Italian toast is pre-bought thinly sliced and you can tell because it’s evenly sliced as she put the plates down. She never once returned to ask how the food was and or filled up the coffees. Sarah was the one that filled up my coffee three times this lazy no good server did not do her job. The service there is awful. The food portions are awful. Even the food prep way it’s made is not like it used to be and that’s understandable with a new owner, but it’s gone downhill. The service has gone downhill. The food has gone downhill yeah might as well close the doors now what a shame cause that used to be an amazing Diner from the dishwasher, slamming the bottle of dawn detergent, putting the wet towel on my phone from the service absolutely unprofessional The server was. I will never go back there again.
