REALLY great Mexican food for those who are going though Lockeford! Prices are reasonable, portions are large, and the food itself is phenomenal every time I've visited. They do sometimes have odd hours, so be sure to check if they are open first!

Oh Lord!!! We moved from SoCal 5 years ago and have not had real antojitos since then until today!!! Amazing REAL Mexican cuisine as well as a full bar. Service was impeccable!! Atmosphere brimming with beautiful Mexican culture, sounds of Spanish lingo from the kitchen!!! Definitely returning to Coyotes!!!!!! Especially amazing: carnitas without a single bit of grasa!!!!!!!

A friend and I had dinner. The food is very good my friend had the Burrito dinner Beef and cheese , I had the Carne Asada steak we must say they were very good . The restaurant is right on Hwy 88 very EZ to see . They have bouth , table , and counter seating . Servicer were good and took care of all our needs. I will be coming back .

Ok everyone this place has the most bomb taco for taco Tuesday and they are only $1 ya u heard me right $1. We went in a party if 5 at almost 8 o'clock and they close at 8:30 they did not complain one bit. The girls were so helpful and right on everything. My mom had the quesadilla with shredded beef, which was excellent. I had the wet burrito with chicken, which was delicious. Oh, and the Moscow mule was perfect!

Great food and service! I love the salsa (just a little heat and a lot of flavor) and chips. I had the veggie burrito. One of the best, as it was loaded with sauteed veggies and the wonderful rice and some beans. Yum! It was covered in a nice sauce with additional rice and refried beans and a very small tostada salad. All great. Coming back for more!

Really like their Taco's, delicious, especially on Tuesdays, can't go wrong for the price, nomnom! My other favorite dish is Enchiladas Del Mar, so good. A la carte size is the perfect yummo amount! Their food is deliciously consistent, that must be why they're always busy, service is great. Love this place.

The smoked pork and chicken crispy tacos were really good! Moist and super flavorful. I ordered the chimi ranchero (fried burrito with sauce) with smoked pork as well. Ask for their spicy salsa (quemada). It goes really well with their smoked meat. After snowboarding all day, being instantly welcomed by a basket of fresh chips and salsa was heavenly. The wait staff was incredibly helpful and very hospitable. The service was friendly and impeccable. We made the stop after seeing the billboard on the drive back to the Bay Area. I can't wait to go back and try their taco salad next!

My family and I came back.... our very first experience here was great. Delicious food and a smile with excellent service. The second time fell short, we were disappointed! But we came back and the staff remembered us. They went above and beyond to make this experience count. I love that they truly cared and made such an effort. GOOD JOB

I have never been to this place before, but my Boss took me to lunch on 10/20/2022. I had the best Camarones Al Mojo De Ajo ( garlic shrimp). I will be back for sure!!

Solid Mexican place in Lockford! They have a couple different items on the menu that are worth checking out. Today I tried the Carnitas y Calabasitas (shredded pork with squash). I enjoyed it! The only thing to kick it up a notch would have been a couple different salsas to add to it. Will come back again when I am in the area!

On our way home from Lake Comanche. Stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed it. Starting off with the chips and salsa, really tasty salsa. My wife had the chicken enchiladas and loved the flavor. I had a carnitas burrito with a roasted jalapeño. The flavor was sooooo good.

Mariachi band here this evening. Very busy. But kept in contact with us till food came. Had smoked carnitas, great flavor, too much onion and peppers. Rice very good. Cadillac margaritas were very good also.

Love the staff and the small town charm. I have been eating here for years. Coyotes has a loaded bar, portions are a good size and accommodate for food restrictions and sensitivities. You may want to call ahead Fri and Sat nights, this place get packed.

It was really good. Stopped in because I was riding into the glareing sun and couldn't see the road. Decided to eat and had the carnitas. Since I am Mexican I can say the only thing missing was the grease running off my elbow. Friendly staff and a full bar. Clean place too.

As always the food was good. Unfortunately service was pretty slow and we felt invisible for a time. It was busy but not crowded - no waiting to be seated.

Update: I hate to leave this update. This is a small town restaurant and they are very nice and do a good job. I don't recommend the chicken. It's pretty bland. Unfortunately, this restaurant isn't being kept up. Some of the booth cushions have worn through the vinyl, and the cushion underneath is being destroyed now. Some of the stand-alone chairs are very stained. Blinds are held up and in place by multiple zipties strung together in order to reach higher objects on the wall. The planter beds and fruit trees around the building are overgrown and cover the walkway. Awnings and patio coverings are torn or completely missing. Original review: This is a small town Mexican food restaurant. The food has always been consistent, good, and pretty fast. It's not much for curb appeal or atmosphere. I always get the beef enchilada and chicken taco dinner plate. The staff has always been friendly. Sometimes, I do have to request my drink refill, but that's not a big deal at all. It's worth a stop if you are hungry and passing through Lockeford (or if you live nearby). Arguably the best restaurant in town.

the service was so good but im not a fan of the food, its not that its bad quality its just that its not my favorite. anyway there was an old man staring at me the whole time so if your a teen girl, do not recommend sitting across from old men unless they are nice and mean no harm 🤗

We were sure to tip her 25% and wouldn't accept her apologies because we've had worse service with more wait staff. That being said the atmosphere is trash. The seats are tore up the carpet is disgusting The bathroom is surprisingly clean. But overall ownership needs to invest in cosmetics on the inside. My wife had an enchilada which she really enjoyed my daughter had a quesadilla and I had the three meat fajitas. Extremely affordable considering what we got and how big the portions were also was extremely happy with the taste. Their table salsa was fantastic incredible flavor not spicy at all which was disappointing to me but my wife was very happy. I was thrilled with the flavor but could use some spice! I'm sure they have a spicy salsa option but I didn't want to bug the poor girl who was working so hard. May 18th 2024 12noon. Give that girl a raise.

Good place to stop by for for while coming down from the mountains. Great service but food was OK. The watermelon fresca juice and Jarritos sodas are a good drinks (non-alcoholic) to try while here.

First time here. Arrived 1/2 hour before closing which is 8:30 for them. We were seated quickly. Vinyl seats are worn,tears/rips,watch for clothing that could get torn. Drinks and chips brought out quickly. Chips were cold but tasted ok.(use to usually getting chips warm at other restaurants). Did not try salsa but hubby was eating it. Customer service was good,ladies were prompt with drinks , taking food order and answering qestions. One server seemed in a bit of a hurry...maybe because they were close to closing but she was still nice. Ordered combination dinner,carne asada burrito. Forgot to order it dry,no sauce, because I can't eat spicy,never know how sauce will be made so don't take chances stomach issues lol. Sauce was kind of orange in color,cheddar cheese over burrito and beans. Rice was soft but kind of peppery tasting but ate most of it Beans were ok but salty. Tasted sauce that was poured over burrito tasted ok but just did not like it. Opened up tortilla and ate the meat only along with mashed beans mixed with meat. Meat cooked well and tasted good but very salty! I would ask about leaving salt out but doubt they can, probably premade that way. Do have full bar as well but did not order alcohol. Overall,seating was quick,customer service was good,prices good...food not so good too salty! May try them again but be more attentive to my order. Atmosphere ok...furniture,carpet a little worn but ok just watch out for your clothing like I said to avoid snagging them possibly. Will review again when or if we go back.

The place looks very nice, but this visit was only to meet a client to notarize some paperwork. The client had already eat and was waiting for me to show up. I'm sure that the food is good as everything smelled good. I didn't order any food as I had another appointment to get to, and I am hoping to stop by there to eat.

Waitress tackles me in parking lot o er my comments "not all that " explained nothing home made watched her dump petri dish flan into bowl. She insisted everything home made. Told her don't kid yourself not coming back

It was the worst chili rellano I have ever tried. Very Burnt all over, nasty tasting, flat, even tried to dig for chili...disappointed. Admittedly, they had a big party so were behind. We didn't care as long as the chips kept coming. Since they were busy, you would expect the chili rellano to be undercooked! The waitress was very nice. I would never blame the staff. The cook should have never let this leave the kitchen. The waitress took it off our bill without us asking. Although, we will not go back.

Great service. Friendly and pleasant. Food was awful though. They served us old Guacamole twice! Tostada salad was made with old ingredients. Chicken seemed like it had been cooked several days before. Empinadas seemed like they were microwaved. I wanted to like this place. The venue and location seem perfect. I didn't know you could get lousy Mexican food in California to be honest. Not this bad.

Very disappointed in the food Bland to say the least! I got take out and for the price I would have been better off going to Taco Bell. My 2 taco combo was so small it could have passed off as a kids meal. Can they PLEASE also take pride in the resurant and pull the weeds in and around the parking/ building!? They were taller than my car!

I've tried this place a few times now and every time was highly unimpressed. So tonight I figured I've heard that they had changed so I decided to call in a order for pick up and was placed on hold no worries, although after 10 minutes on hold I hung up. Next time I'll just go to the taco truck it has way better tasting food anyway!👎

The abandoned, unkept look of the outside should have been a clue. The ceviche was the most horrible I have ever had. Not only was the shrimp so chewy and tough like bubble gum but the rest of the food was bland. Never again!!!!!!
