Opinions de The Nook Lomita
The Nook is an absolute must-try for anyone looking for a fantastic breakfast or brunch spot in Los Angeles. It perfectly blends a cozy, welcoming, neighborhood atmosphere with truly exceptional food. The menu shines with classic comfort food done right. I highly recommend trying their famous pancakes—they are incredibly light and fluffy, and the "Nookie Cookie" flavor is a dessert-for-breakfast dream! Their savory items, especially the breakfast burritos and any of their egg dishes, are generously portioned and perfectly executed. Beyond the delicious food, the service stands out. The staff is always warm, attentive, and incredibly efficient, even when they're busy. Whether you're dining alone, with family, or meeting friends, The Nook delivers a fantastic, high-quality, and satisfying dining experience every time. Five stars!
Yes, it is as good as they say. Omelettes and French toast! The hash browns need to be cooked to extra crispy for my taste, but I’ll know next time. And there will be a next time.
Great menu selection and enclosed outdoor patio. Enjoyed the machaca omelete today. Perfect place to meet a friend for breakfast and catching up! We're definitely coming back!
Great service, food and staff! We arrived and had the choice to sit outside or inside. We chose inside. Izzy, our server was wonderful. I ordered the Ruben Sandwich and my husband ordered a cheeseburger. Both items arrived quickly and the food was tasty. The fries are thick steak fries which are nice. I will definitely return here again! Large parking lot outside. The Nook shares the same parking lot as Big Lots, 99 cents Only stores and it is right next door to COLDSTONE ice cream.
We arrived at ~9:15 AM on the Fourth of July. The restaurant was about 75-80% full when we arrived, and remained about that busy throughout our visit. We were seated promptly outdoors, which despite being on the PCH, wasn't too loud. We ordered the chili omlette with a biscut and gravy, as well as a french toast plate. Everything was delicious, albeit not super unique, and this was our exact expectation and craving! Prices were reasonable, and service was friendly and efficient. We'd definitely come back for another brunch, with the Eggs Benedict and John Wayne Special both sounding quite tasty.
First of all, staff was on top of everything, awesome service, friendly staff and the food was great. Had the country fried steak and wow. If you are a coffee lover, coffee was good, not water down at all. I found my go to restaurant and I highly recommend it. Thank you all at Nook's. 8/15 second visit and food and service is still excellent. Highly recommend this place for an awesome meal.
The peaches were SOOOO FRESH !!! Bacon cooked to perfection. The view on the patio is everything just the way the sun hits your skin is a great vibe. I personally wasn’t a fan of the waffle but Eric’s amazing customer service got it taken care of promptly.
I ordered the pancake combo with blueberry pancakes and my partner ordered the machaca with eggs and potatoes with a biscuit, they make the biscuits fresh. The food was so good and service was attentive. Will definitely come back.
Wonderful breakfast spot in Lomita! The food was amazing, and the service was awesome. We ate out in the patio and enjoyed our delicious meals.
I didn't know what to expect when I came into this restaurant. however, I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered one of the special croissant sandwiches and I will tell you that it was delicious. I have to come back to this establishment to try other delicious looking items on the menu.. Don't miss out!!!
Update- service is still fantastic. Enjoyed the food. Love eating outside on the pet friendly patio. Way nicer than the other breakfast spot the next block down.
Gave it a good review because the service is great. The food is not amazing but it isn't awful. I would keep coming here but if the pan is full(breakfast restaurant).

Kiddo loved the chicken strips & fries. Husband's well done browns & medium fried egg were prefect.

First time visiting. Definitely a must, awesome brunch spot. Had the Homade corned beef has with three eggs. Other plate Machaca with eggs amazing as well.
Well, we hadn't been to the Nook in a good while. Last time we came they served breakfast. Here recently they have gone to serving dinner as well. They have new hours and new menu. The Nook is very clean and bright. Lots of seating space in and out on the patio. It is easy to get with lots of good parking around. The dinners we had were excellent! Good choice of menu items. Prices are reasonable.
We've passed this place for 2 years and always wanted to try it. It was about 9am and fairly busy, especially since this a popular breakfast location. There wasn't a wait to be seated though. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu varied from tons of different breakfast items as well as lunch items(sandwiches/burgers). Food came out quick, but it wasn't very hot surprisingly. The marinated steak was absolutely delicious though. Eggs were scrambled easy, just as I asked, which most people don't actually bring me scrambled easy. Server was attentive and came back several times to check on us, even though it seemed like she was the only server. Pretty pricey for two people though, it was about $30 each between us. I'd go back again for sure.
The foods are not expensive but we need to wait for the table over 20 minutes. The quality of food is normal but acceptable.

This is a nice, small but cute breakfast and lunch restaurant. I ordered green enchiladas which were very tasty. The service was good, the waitress was attentive, although in the beginning it did take a while to get anybody to serve us once we were seated. The refills of coffee was good, but they don't do refills of fountain drinks. The outside is shady so it's nice because you don't get bothered by hot sun. There's plenty of parking inside the plaza it's located.
Wife got the senior pancake , bacon, and Egg combo. My wife is a pancake mavin and she thought these were one of the best she's had in the South Bay. Bacon was also superlative. Very crispy. I got their beef breakfast skillet with home fries, cheese, onions and peppers, and big slices of jalapeño in a jalapeño cream sauce. The shredded beef was initially dry; but when mixed into the other ingredients was very enjoyable. I loved the heat, but was too much for the wife. The Arnold Palmers were good. Service was very attentive.
Waitresses and staff were very diligent. They kept my coffee mug topped off. (Very important to me) The staff was very friendly.

Nice little cozy place service was the stand out here..food was ok my son's California sandwich was pretty dry, barely any turkey inside of it mostly all bread, avocado was black inside his sandwich, not worth 15 dlrs, fries were out standing crispy and delicious, my biscuit breakfast was good but needed more flavor so put more pepper but there was plenty of gravy, eggs cooked perfectly potato's we're under cooked..so i finished it off with some pumpkin pancakes which were good but not like"omg!" Pancakes they needed some whip cream to be put over the top.. overall the nook was ok..but not a place that made me say " this place was so good we gotta go back!" 2 meals & 2 drinks over 50 dlrs🫤
First time trying this place. I had the Nook Special with Chorizo and Eggs with potatoes. It was just average to me. I expected more flavors from the eggs and chorizo, in fact it was a bit dry. The salsa help though. The breakfast potatoes was very bland. Need more flavor, salt and hot sauce. The coffee was great and service was accommodating and friendly. Not impressed but I hope to go back and try something else.
