Had my birthday lunch on Sunday, this was also a good occasion to try the Sunday roast. We choosed the sharing platter, it was absolutely delicious and very tasty, the portion is very generous and it's hard to finish it. My son was happy with his fish and chips and chocolate brownie, part of the Kids menu. The staff approached us several times asking if everything was ok, showing great attention to the customer. They were also very kind in bringing me cake and singing happy birthday to me. I definetely recommend visiting this place!

We had our wedding at Tudor Barn Eltham just last week and I truly cannot say enough how wonderful they are! From the moment we saw the venue we just knew it was the right choice. Georgia showed us around and was so attentive and showed so much care, even researching their vegan options for us before the tour so answer our questions. It kept being fantastic from there on out with Jade and Suzie answering questions and being so flexible with our requests (all vegan/veggie wedding, private tasting menu, multiple plans for ceremony space, last minute additions, etc). The day of the wedding was like a dream, it was so beautiful, wholesome and went so smoothly in thanks to all the staff who helped out. We’re so grateful to Georgia and Amelia who managed the day with so much care and peace and to Alisha, Keyaan, Carise, Flo, Isabella and Lillie who all made sure everyone was taken care of throughout the day and were so attentive. Choosing Tudor Barn as our wedding venue is one of the best decisions we made and everyone working there helped make it a day we’ll always look back on with so much fondness, love and joy :)

Really good quality of Sunday roast. However, menu main dishes must have more variety. I think it was just burger, fish and chips and NOTHING with chicken. I love the classic ambient and it was live music in the garden when we arrived, that was great

Consistently great! Book in advance to avoid disappointment for Sunday Lunch! Always receive a friendly welcome, service is friendly and efficient. The food is delicious, highly recommend sharing the Roast sharing platter.

I was incredibly impressed by the service here, especially considering how long the queue was. Even when the bar was clearly slammed, the staff moved like lightning. We ordered two espresso martinis, and they were made beautifully and delivered in record time. They were perfectly balanced, with a stunning crema, proving that speed doesn't compromise quality here. It's a testament to the skill and efficiency of the bartenders. This is the spot for great cocktails and even better service!

Went for Sunday lunch, got the sharing platter between 5 and it was amazing, meats were juicy, Yorkshires were huge and fluffy and gravy was delicious Booked for 1230 was still space when we got there but it filled up fast Decent selection of beers and wines Well priced for the amount of food you get

Recommended to me by more than 1 person and rightly so too; food is great, the sharing platter is the perfect amount of food for 2 people. The owner is very attentive to make for a comfortable experience. Busy on Sundays of course so you'll need to book. Not to be missed.

We recently got married at the Tudor Barn (17 feb 23) it was exceptional to say the least! Planning and contact was made extremely easy, questions that were emailed were answered within just a couple hours! Libby and the team that was working the day/night of our wedding couldn’t have been more helpful/polite, nothing was too much for them and they did everything with a smile on their face. The food for the wedding breakfast was outstanding and everyone told me that they had really enjoyed it, we had 70 guests and all of them loved it! The evening food was also outstanding. Overall we can not find fault with anything that the Tudor barn delivered on our special day.

I had my 70th birthday celebration at Tudor Barn on the 16th August and could not fault it at all. It was a truly amazing , magical experience for both me and my guests. The ambience, the decor , not forgetting the 3 course meal was truly amazing. Darren was my host , kudos to him who made it run so smoothly even though there was a minor glitch , he quickly sorted it out and the waiters that were helping had all run systematically and smoothly. The DJ was fantastic and got all my guests dancing with his selection of songs . Indeed a truly magical experience. Three cheers to Tudor Barn event organisers !!! A BIG THANK YOU for making it so so special for me

Oh my what a day lucky enough to be invited to a Wedding at the Tudor Barn. The venue is great steeped in History and a great atmosphere, helpful and polite team members. The rain stopped us enjoying the gardens, but we were very cosy and looked after indoors. Fantastic food served by I believe Silver Service server's They were synchronised in serving added to Our enjoyment.

Lovely place to hold a wedding. Hidden away this little gem is in the middle of a busy town but you wouldn't know it was there. Set in lovely grounds and gardens.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tudar Barn in Eltham, southeast London, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience. From the moment I stepped foot into the restaurant, I was captivated by its charming and regal setting, which truly made me feel like I was dining in a place fit for a king. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Sunday roast platter. The moment the plate arrived at my table, I was greeted by a mouthwatering assortment of perfectly cooked meats, accompanied by an array of deliciously roasted vegetables and a rich, flavorsome gravy. The meats were tender and succulent, cooked to perfection with a beautiful golden crust. Each bite was a delight, and the combination of flavors was simply amazing. It was a Sunday roast that I will remember for a long time. Before diving into the main course, I decided to try the artisan bread starter, and I must say, it was the best I've ever had. The bread was freshly baked, with a wonderfully crisp crust and a light, fluffy interior. It was accompanied by a selection of delightful spreads and dips that perfectly complemented the bread's flavors. It was a delightful start to the meal and set the tone for the culinary journey that followed. The scotch egg at Tudar Barn was a true showstopper. The perfectly cooked egg, encased in a golden, crispy breadcrumb coating, was a symphony of flavors and textures. As I cut into it, the yolk oozed out, adding a luscious creaminess to every bite. It was a scotch egg that was truly to die for and a testament to the skill and creativity of the kitchen. Next up was the burger, and it completely blew me away. The patty was juicy and flavorful, cooked to perfection with a delicious char on the outside. The combination of toppings and sauces elevated the burger to another level of deliciousness. Each bite was a burst of flavors, and the accompanying fries were perfectly crispy. It was a burger experience that surpassed my expectations and left me longing for more. Aside from the exceptional food, the service at Tudar Barn was on par with that of a Michelin-starred restaurant. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about providing an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment I entered until the moment I left, I felt incredibly well taken care of, and every request was met with a smile and promptness. In conclusion, Tudar Barn in Eltham is a hidden gem that truly exceeded my expectations. The Sunday roast platter was amazing, the artisan bread starter was the best I've ever had, the scotch egg was to die for, and the burger was out of this world. Coupled with the service that rivals that of a Michelin-starred establishment and a setting fit for a king, Tudar Barn is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in southeast London.

Overall our wedding experience at the Tudor Barn on Saturday 23 September 2023 was great. Positives were: - The venue itself and grounds looked beautiful on the day and were well maintained - The running of the day was organised very smoothly by the staff without being in your face - The staff were attentive, efficient and had a good attitude - The canapés, 3-course dinner and evening food was excellent and got a lot of compliments - The drinks reception music by guitarist J was just the right volume and played very well - The venue-owned items like tables, chairs, post box etc. were good quality and it was nice not to have to think about a lot of those things - The overall value for money I’d say was pretty good Negatives were: - We found it a bit tricky at times to personalise the day and the decorations as much as we wanted, and we felt a bit like the venue would prefer we fit into a ‘package’ - We’d said a few times we wanted no one to pay for drinks and a bar tab to be set up until the free drinks package started in the evening, but this didn’t happen and I had to ask the bar to start one before the ceremony, although this didn’t happen as I found out people were still having to pay for drinks - The DJ provided by the events company STAAR wasn’t great. He messed up the first dance song, didn’t play all the songs we’d asked for, refused requests even though we’d said to allow them and the mixing between songs was awkward - The selfie mirror operator, again provided by STAAR, pushed someone who tapped him on the shoulder to ask a question and grabbed a hat off someone’s head which pulled at their neck, so a bit aggressive

We got married here.. and omg.. it was amazing. The staff were friendly and supportive all the way through the night. There help just relaxed me completely and I had the best day. The venue was beyond beautiful, great places to have your pictures. Everyone couldn’t stop telling us how amazing the place was. And again the staff just brought their funny personalities to the day which just made it so personal and fun. Thank you for putting up with the tipsy people. And the DJ provided was brilliant and had everyone on there feet. If your planning a wedding and want somewhere beautiful and with great help. Please book this place and trust them completely. Thank you

🌟 Wonderful Experience at Tudor Barn Eltham! 🌟 I visited Tudor Barn Eltham yesterday with my family, and we were absolutely delighted with our experience! The service was excellent - the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. I was especially impressed by the chef, Mark, who went out of his way to prepare a fish and vegetable dish for me, even though that particular combination wasn’t on the menu. That level of care and flexibility was truly appreciated! The manager also made a special effort to ensure our visit was exceptional. Despite the restaurant being full and every table occupied, the staff paid attention to each guest, which shows great organisation and professionalism. The surroundings outside the venue are stunning - there’s a beautiful garden with ponds and small canals, creating a peaceful and picturesque atmosphere. The view is magnificent, making it a perfect spot for young people, families with children, or older visitors alike. Tip: It’s a good idea to make a reservation in advance, especially on weekends, as the place is quite popular - and deservedly so! I highly recommend Tudor Barn Eltham - a place where delicious food, warm service, and a beautiful setting come together seamlessly. 👏

The Tudor Barn held the 'celebration of life' gathering following my dad's cremation. The staff before and during were amazing. Kind, caring and professional. The food was lovely and the setting perfect. The small touches such as the memory table and little sign made it all beautiful. Thank you for making a hard day that much easier.

Tutor Barn was absolutely amazing! From the warm hospitality to the delicious food and thoughtful service, everything was spot on. The team went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after. The venue is charming, the staff are wonderful and the care they show truly makes a difference. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back! We had a company event on Friday 11th of July

Tudor Barn is an absolute gem of an establishment. We’ve been a few times for food and it’s always so yummy. We recently had the Sunday roast sharing platter, which was a fantastic deal for two hungry people. All staff we’ve encountered are friendly and helpful, particularly with getting us enough room for our baby in her pram (which is sadly not always the norm) . The outdoor space is stunning from the tables to the gardens around back. Really easy to get to by transport as well. The only slight negative is that their toilet is not accessible, as it has a few small steps down for entry, but I appreciate this sometimes comes with the territory of being such a historical building. All in all, we love the Tudor Barn and look forward to our next visit!

I booked the afternoon tea (very last minute) for my grandparents 55th Anniversary, and the team at Tudor Barn went above and beyond to make it special for them! I popped in with some balloons, a banner and a cake topper - my nan has been sending me photos showing they have taken the time to decorate their table. Thank you SO much! They thoroughly enjoyed the food. Such a lovely place, look forward to having dinner here soon.

Attended my nephews wedding. It was amazing. The staff were brilliant and the food, and mix of Asian and carribbean made on site was amazing. We had a brilliant time. Getting my 96 year old mother up and downstairs was done with a special lift so nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

This is the third year that we have hired this venue for our company Christmas event, and each year has been great and everyone has enjoyed themselves. Staff are very supportive and available to assist beforehand and during the event. Thank you so much Tudor Barn!

Post-church lunch with the family on a rainy and drab Sunday. It had a great vibe and a very historic building. The service was amazing, food was great and really nice and busy ambience. Lovely gardens to walk round, only if the weather was playing ball.

Cozy tavern in the middle of a beautiful park, friendly staff and good food. Both afternoon tea & Sunday roasts are over the top for me! Only (minor) inconvenient is that you always have to book at least 1 month upfront, or you won't find availability for sits & hours

Very nice grounds/gardens nearby, filled with friendly squirrels. The barn itself was nice showing the beams and nicely decorated. The Afternoon tea was pleasant, and good value. Staff were young and nice.

This stunning restaurant has so much charm and class you can't help but to love it. They have struggled in the past with vegan food but they have really listened to their customers and their new vegan entries on the menu are simply fabulous. The cauliflower steak was incredible and the sticky toffee pudding tasted like actual joy! 😁 thanks Tudor Barn and especially Georji for a fabulous meal.

Came for our anniversary... Very nice rack of lamb, cooked perfectly!! Friendly staff, nice & quiet & food served within 20mins... The best sticky toffee pudding with honeycomb icecream I've ever had 😀

C

Roast saved the day after dodgy starters of courgette fritters (£6.75!) and a familiar flavoured kids soup (£3). I had the lamb roast (£19!) but credit where it is due the meat was beautiful quality, sides tasty and portion good. Tried the cauliflower cheese for additional £3.50 - a great little sharer. Warm service and with little playground and open spaces outside it's a good family friendly option!

Beautiful venue and very friendly and helpful staff. The food was great, if a little more expensive ( but not terribly so). Certainly a bit of a hidden gem and definitely worth a visit. We will be visiting again soon.

We had our Christmas work party here. The concept is great - meal and dancing for different companies during the same evening however the food wasn’t great and having to brave the cold for cocktails rather than get them brought over was not great service. It was nice to have a dance after the meal - kind of hit and miss on the other attendees.

We came in for Sunday lunch The food was good quality and decent value. Freshly prepared and good portions. It's a beautiful building and the gardens are lovely too. We sat inside as we were a last minute booking. Outside was busy (as was inside) and there was live music. The staff were friendly, we had to ask for water twice, but service was prompt. The rose wine on the list was poor quality but the beer excellent and a.moce range of soft drinks.

S

A very inconspicuous entrance with no signage...until it actually opens. So don't get here early, can be confusing for first timers, wait until the staff place signage outside. No waiter came to take our order. I had to approach the counter. They did apologise for the lack of attention. Lastly, the tables are extremely wobbly. I fixed it. However, this should be taken care of by staff, as it falls under customer experience. Other than that. It's a nice establishment. Nothing special. The food is nice.

A very pleasant location to hold an event such as the one I was invited to attend but very difficult and confusing for people to actually get to, having driven down many side roads and being able to see the building but not able to park within the grounds, especially if you suffer from an impairment like walking. Parking seems to be pot luck around any of the roads with no dedicated parking to the building. A big improvement of signage directing you to the Tudor Barn would be of great help Food was lovely and good quality. Many drinks available at the bar. The interior is of stone floor and oak beams with internal toilets available. Overall, lovely looking building with lovely river and grassy grounds and rear sitting area near the river and with children's play area on the opposite side of the building.

The place was beautiful. We had our Christmas party here and enjoyed a lot. We had our own DJ and the songs were nice and relatable. What I did not like were the vegan options. You can really tell the chef didn’t know much about plant based eating. He probably thought we were going vegan to lose as much weight as possible because the servings were small and not filling at all. I paid the same amount as everyone else but my food was nowhere near satisfying. It was tasty - yes but the portions were too tiny - my boyfriend and me ended up still so hungry. I complained to staff - thinking maybe they will be considerate and give us another portion but I never heard back. I thought this was unkind and inconsiderate to a paying customer. Times and trends are changing. Chefs should be more prepared to cater to people who prefer vegan options.

D
David Chan

A pub located within the park grounds. We came here for a wedding reception and though the venue setting was beautiful, the food quality was a bit hit and miss. This was mass catering so I'm not sure what the usual food quality is if you came for a evening dinner sitting.

B
Barbara Pruce

Went for lunch with a friend hoping to have steak pie. It wasn't on the menu so opted for gammon and leek pie. Very disappointed with the meal. The gammon was very salty and the pastry was hard.We were offered free a drink or 10% off the off the bill.

L

Main meal was good, starters and dessert not so much. Staff could work on being mord polite, some came across quite rude, except the guy dressed in a Santa jumper.

A
Adam Hotchkis

Quantity over(priced) quality! Falling short of a gastro meal in too many ways. Fortunately all able to be corrected but will be some time before we return. Not enough sunny days to sit in a pub garden with the kitchen extraction fan blasting away. Too bad we had finished lunch before the live music started to try drown out the noise. Dirty plates should have been the sign to leave, but gave friendly waiting staff a chance and found out a change in the kitchen was recently appointed. Trio of roast meats (beef, lamb, chicken) was recommended for min 2 people at £19ea. Seemed a little pricey but was keen to test my hunger... Veg was fresh and well portioned however, this seemed to fill the plate to hide the thin, overcooked, gristly cuts of beef and lamb and dry chicken. On finishing a meal one of the joys is to tell the waiting staff you enjoyed your meal... And to pass compliment to the kitchen. But on this occasion I couldn't honestly say so... This was a carvery meal with extras...at best. We received a £5 discount which should not have come off the service bill..but did. This was the kitchen falling short.... Appropriately chosen meat cuts needed for improvement. Disappointing Tudor tour. I'm sure the wedding events don't have to deal with this.. Why let your locals?

M
Maria Kasabian

Disappointing food quality overall. We ordered a pizza, burger, and kids fish & chips — the pizza resembled the £3 frozen ones from Co-op, and the burger patties tasted either deep-fried or just very low-grade. The cleanliness was also an issue; the environment felt greasy and sticky. The front-of-house staff were genuinely excellent, but unfortunately, the kitchen — particularly the chef/ cooking — is bringing the whole experience down.

C
Christina

Awful place, shame as a pretty setting but when it comes to weddings I could not be more disappointed with their management and unprofessionalism, lack of empathy and communication skills. Really disappointed by the complete disregard they had for me and my fiancé at the time of planning our wedding with them. They showed themselves to be ruthless, cold and money grabbing. I have since heard similar stories from other people saying how rude they found them to be. If you want to make money helping to plan one of the most important days in one's life then you should be much more understanding and sympathetic to each individual's needs and personal circumstances. Horrible place, nasty people
