We had an excellent meal at Agrodolce last night. Great food and wine, and Cristina provided super service to us recommending dishes and wines and explaining the menu in detail which really added to our overall experience (pecorino cheese and wine, and the different Montepulciano red wines all expertly explained). Highly recommend.
My friends and I went for lunch and we had such a lovely time. from the moment we arrived, everything felt really welcoming. The team was attentive and friendly the whole time. We were served by Caterina, who made us feel well looked after. I ordered the truffle pasta and it was delicious. We ended up trying a bit of each other’s dishes, so I basically tasted almost every pasta and honestly, everything was so good. For dessert, we shared a few options and the tiramisu was definitely the highlight, perfectly balanced and full of flavour. We’ll definitely be coming back 🤍
Beautiful restaurant with equally beautiful food. The staff were just great. We chatted with the owner and learnt they had a place in Rome too so we were excited to try authentic Italian, we weren't disappointed. The bruschetta trio was so good, pastas were fresh and tasty, we were recommended a lovely bottle of wine. Absolutely worth a visit and would go back again!
The food was absolutely incredible, service was very attentive. Would definitely recommend visiting here. The starter - the trio of bruschette - was not your average bruschetta and really started off the meal well. The pasta - the amatriciana - was perfectly cooked with there was a real depth of flavour in the sauce. The dessert, the tiramisu, was absolutely fantastic, up there with some of the best I've tasted, really creamy and a hint of chocolate. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully and I found the service impeccable. There was a problem with our bill but Sandra who looked after us was very efficient and friendly with sorting it out. Can't wait to visit again
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Agrodolce in London! The service was exceptional — a huge thank you to Catherine for her remarkable skill and professionalism, and to Nabin, Alessio, and Sandra for their warmth and attention to detail. You guys are truly top 🔝! The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and perfectly complemented by an excellent wine list with a great selection of Italian and international wines. The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming — everything combined to make it an unforgettable evening. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return! 🍷✨
I had a wonderful dinner at Arado Restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. A special shout-out to our waiter, MD. UDDIN, who was exceptionally attentive, friendly, and professional. He made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
A really good choice if you're looking for an exceptional preparation of the four classic pastas of Rome. The carbonara was creamy and savoury without feeling too heavy, with crispy guanciale. The amatriciana had an incredible rich, bright tomato flavour. This restaurant is a must-visit, I can't recommend it highly enough!
Agrodolce London is a truly authentic Italian gem that transports you straight to Rome from the moment you walk in. The charming décor, elegant tables, and warm atmosphere create a genuine Italian dining experience. The food is superb—rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and unmistakably traditional. Paired with excellent wine and the friendly, typical Italian service, every detail feels perfectly crafted. Dining at Agrodolce London is an experience not to be missed—they’ve truly brought a taste of Rome to the heart of London. 5 ★★★★★
Catherine arranged our booking for 21 of us and was super helpful throughout and very attentive. The waiter (we didn’t get his name unfortunately) but he was so considerate and kind, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout. The food was excellent and authentic, the china ware was the cherry on top!! We will be booking for my friends 30th birthday and can’t wait to return! Thank you team ❤️❤️❤️
During our visit to London, we were looking for an Italian restaurant for dinner and happened to come across this chic yet cozy spot. The service was excellent – the staff were friendly, cheerful, and very attentive. The food was delicious and clearly homemade, from the focaccia to the pizza and the carbonara pasta. We had a wonderful evening with a friend and a little one, and felt very welcome. Highly recommended! Thank you !
Super friendly service, nice ambiance, absolutely loved my bucatini All’Amatriciana pasta, one of the best I had in london, and more than fairly priced for £16. We also tried the carbonara and cacio e pepe. Nice options too, although you could find better in london. Went there on a Thursday night 6:30pm and the place was packed. It did take some time to get our pasta, probably because it was peak time.
Authentic Roman cuisine. Everything tastes incredible and is beautifully presented. The restaurant has a sophisticated but warm atmosphere. Perfect for a classy date night or more casual dinner, Agrodolce can do it all! Highlight of the evening was the friendly and attentive service (Alessio you’re incredible!) Thank you for having us again!
As an Italian I can say this is one of the best Italians we had until now in London. The fact that the waiters spoke Italian was a good sign too. If you go to the bathroom you can see inside the kitchen and everything was immaculate. My dad (very demanding when it comes to Italian food outside the country) had the saltimbocca and said it was delicious. Also don't skip on the tiramisù, this was even better than some you might find in an Italian restaurant!
Second time here. Lovely vibes - classy with a friend, romantic with a partner. Can’t fault the food at all. The fillet steak was deliciously tender with a lovely sauce. The tiramisu I had the first time was amazing too. And service was brilliant. Attentive, professional, warm and friendly, and just cared about us enjoying our visit. Thank you Alessio!
Had a great meal at Agrodolce tonight - Our Server, " Drew" provided a warm reception & tour of the amazing menu - to the point where it was difficult to choose! We selected the walnut-gorgonzola-pear salad ( Borghese), which was amazing! Then we moved on to the veal scallopine Al Limone, & the flagship carbonara pasta - both were absolutely amazing! The veal was tender & the carbonara, lived up to it's fame! We finished the feast with the homemade Tiramizu! Thank you, Drew for a 5-star experience & getting me to shuffle my schedule for another visit before returning home! Ciao *****
Amazing place!!Beautiful, clean, food is simply delicious! Authentic italian cousine, top quality and great attention to details. Lovely Caterina and her amazing colleagues provided the most kind and efficient service, we really enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended! Will come back.Thank you!
The suppli to start and the tonnarelli pasta with saffron cream and prawn tartare were the best I’ve had! Will definitely be back
Lovely place with a REAL Italian roma cousine in the heart of london. Food was fresh, tasty and made as per Italian recipes. The service provided by Alessio was 10 out of 10! This place is definitely worth a visit !
Delicious food and a great atmosphere. Drew provided exceptional service and made it a truly enjoyable experience !
One of the best place to eat italian in London!!! They bottomless Tiramisu brunch on the Sunday is just amazing!!! And Caterina was just absolutely amazing with her service!
Fabulous dinner was pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail, the pics of the restaurant don’t do it justice and the staff were so attentive. Will definitely be revisiting as it’s just around the corner from the office.
We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance — and what incredible luck! It ended up being the best dining experience we had during our week in London, and we visited quite a few popular spots. We're real foodies, so that says a lot! Everything was a 10 out of 10. The restaurant is fairly new, having opened in March, and everything felt fresh, modern, and beautifully designed. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was flawless, and the ambiance was just right — great vibe and good music. To top it all off, the prices were surprisingly reasonable — much better value than many of the trendier places we tried, yet the quality here was even higher. This is exactly the kind of experience you hope for when dining out while traveling in a city like London. What a gem to come across by pure chance!
Catherine’s help turned a good experience into excellent. Thank you very much for such good service! Combined with delicious food, strongly recommend
Excellent food , service and atmosphere. The interior matches amazingly with my aesthetics. Love the chandelier. Carbonara was a 100! One of the best I had in London. It is now my must visit restaurant in Rome.
Indeed one of the best Italian restaurants in London. Food was made brilliantly with nice ingredients and well seasoned techniques.
Delicious food. Great customer service. Friendly staff, catering. Very cute atmosphere. Thank you Sandra for making this evening great x
One of the best carbonaras I’ve ever had. As a typical Italian who’s extremely picky about Italian food abroad, I can honestly say I was blown away. After countless disappointing attempts in London, I finally discovered the real taste of Roman cuisine — and this place immediately became my go-to spot. The carbonara was simply outstanding. The Roman appetizers stay true to tradition and would impress even the most demanding Roman. And the wine… I had a glass of Etna Bianco that, as a Sicilian, I can confidently say ranks among the best I’ve ever tasted — and at a price that’s almost too good to be true. I’m not usually the type to leave reviews, but in this case, I feel genuinely compelled to spread the word. If I could give six stars, I absolutely would — both for the food and the impeccable service.
We had an excellent lunch here, Sandra and the rest of the staff were super attentive and kind. The food is excellent and authentically Italian, think I had the best carbonara I’ve ever had here. Delicious drinks and tiramisu as well!
We’re from Rome, and my friends and I decided to try this restaurant — what a great discovery! A big thank you to Mari for taking such good care of us and providing excellent service. The food was out of this world. Definitely a must-try if you want to experience the true flavors of Roman cuisine.
An amazing new opening, the food is amazing and you can tell all the ingredients are top quality. Really recommended the tartare, the artichoke and the pasta with the prawns tartare. A special shout out to the service, really felt looked after by Catherine who was brilliant and super attentive and her colleague Sandra. Will definitely come back
Incredible food and warm hospitality! The amatriciana was rich and flavorful, the saffron and prawn pasta perfectly balanced, and the tiramisu was the ideal sweet finish. A fantastic dining experience—we’ll definitely be back!
Surprisingly amazing hidden Italian. Reminded me of my trip to Amalfi coast. Delicious food with no fuss. Could have stayed for hours. I recommend you do you close your eye and pick a dish. Unless you have allergies for truffle of cheese etc. :-) You do need a 3 course meal though to feel cool . Or maybe because I was so hungry. Oh and this could all be because Aléssio was a great host with succulent advice
First time here and i have to say that i will be definitely coming back again. A classy interior with a italian vibe, as expected from an Italian restaurant. Very professional and polite staff which is always a good factor for overall satisfaction. Quick service and clear menus. The food is to die for, especially the seafood pasta, for me subjectively, but there are plenty of other options for any kind of taste pallets. Overall a very nice and caim place with incredible food and atmosphere, perfect for any occasion.
Beautiful restaurant! My friends and I used their semi-private space for an engagement party and although small, it suited our needs well! Carol was amazing and so helpful, attending to us all so patiently and providing great food recommendations. Thanks Carol!
Great experience, amazing interior, very Roman, the food was good, carbonara is to die for The best tiramisu I've ever had! I will definitely come on Sunday brunch for bottles Tiramisu. Amazing service, the menus were explained very well, we had the plates that we were advised, the white ragu pasta was full of flavour! My husband had the octopus, amazing! I overall recommend the restaurant.
Excellent food, some of the best Italian we’ve had in London. The seafood pasta and the carbonara were especially amazing. The servers were also all lovely and attentive, we were served by Mari and she is such a delight. She’s so friendly and helpful. The prices are also pretty affordable, Highly recommend!
Came here with one of my best friends for her birthday. She’s been here before anmd recommended it annd when I came in, the staff were amazing from the time we walked in. So accommodating, Nabin and catherina were amazing and so attentive to us, respectful and hospitable and just pure fun. The food was also delicious definitely coming back here again. 🙌🏾
The atmosphere was lovely, calm and quiet, making it easy to have a conversation. The food itself was good, though nothing particularly memorable; I’d describe it as fairly standard Italian, and I’ve had better pasta elsewhere in London. The tiramisu, however, was outstanding and absolutely worth recommending. The staff were generally friendly, but at times a little too eager, I felt somewhat rushed, with plates and cutlery being cleared away before I was finished. Prices were on the higher side, though I suppose that’s becoming the norm in London.
I love Italian food and the reviews are amazing so I was very excited. I had a reservation, which I recommend. The restaurant has a lovely vibe, the lighting could be a bit dimmer but that's just my preference. We ordered a croquette and beef carpaccio to start which both were really tasty and also plenty. The beef was really beautiful. I also love that we got delicious oil and balsamic on the table for the whole meal. The red wine we had was ok. We then both had the amatriciana. The pasta itself was lovely but the sauce was quite creamy which was unusual and the guanciale was definitely not crispy enough which is why it didn't give enough of the flavour. The tiramisu was very nice at the end. The service was lovely and attentive the whole time The pasta was a little bit of a letdown 3/5 but I would come back and try another dish
We had a delicious lunch today. We heard the guys at The Queen Charlotte recommend Agrodolce to someone last month, so we had to try it. We had a selection of starters. The focaccia wasn’t what we expected, it was thin and crunchy but it was very yummy. We both had the white ragu, which was a bit oily, we’ll have something different next time. We’re already planning another visit, there’s more dishes we’d like to try.
We went for lunch on Sunday and booked using the special offer with Time out London, three courses for £35 with either a 🍷 glass of prosecco or a soft drink. The menu is a bit restricted and for main you can have only a choice of pasta with different sauces. We had the suppli, and the fiori di zucca for starters which were nice, and for main tagliolini cacio e pepe and the mezzemaniche alla carbonara and for dessert panna cotta and tiramisu 😋. Caterina was very welcoming and efficient.
Went to Agrodolce London for lunch today kinda by accident. I was already nearby and honestly just hungry and couldn’t be bothered walking around anymore. I ordered this mix of stuff that looked a bit random together but whatever, I was starving. They brought out these crunchy cheese ball things — no idea what they’re actually called and I’m not even gonna pretend I do — but they were ridiculously good. Proper crispy outside and then this warm cheesy hit inside. I ended up eating them way too fast. Then there was this bit of bread with some white spread on it (I still don’t know what it was, something creamy?) and some tomatoes on top. It sounds basic but it actually tasted really fresh and way better than I expected. One of those things you finish and think “ok I kinda wish I had another one of those.” And then I’m pretty sure one of the things was like a samosa? Or samosa-ish? Crispy, warm, kinda flaky — whatever it was, it slapped. The whole place had this relaxed vibe, not fancy or anything. Staff were chill, not in-your-face, which I appreciate when I’m just trying to eat in peace. Honestly, the whole meal was way more enjoyable than I expected for something I chose on impulse. I’d go back for sure.
Located in the heart of Fitzrovia, just a three-minute walk from Goodge Street tube, Agrodolce is easy to spot with its bright yellow awning and modern exterior. Inside, the restaurant is long and narrow, with tables on both sides and a central walkway. As the room tapers towards the back, seating becomes more private with single tables on the left — arguably the best spots. There’s also a lower seating area down a few steps. Décor features beige-yellow walls, chevron wood floors, banquette seating, and wooden café-style chairs. We had the option of the Sunday lunch set tasting at £50 for several courses. There was also à la carte and a wine list with reasonable pricing — for example, a £11 wholesale bottle marked up around 30%, which is fair for central London. Starters • Fiori di zucca (courgette flowers with mozzarella and anchovy): Unfortunately, this was overly battered and oil-logged. The filling was mostly cheese with a grey paste of anchovy — heavy, greasy, and underwhelming. • Tartare di manzo con crema di burrata tartufata (£16): A good dish with nice flavours, but would benefit from bread, especially if sharing. Mains • Saltimbocca agrodolce al Marsala (£24): Veal escalopes with Parma ham and sage in Marsala sauce. Served as three small pieces with red cabbage. The meat was overcooked, the Parma ham was hard and leathery, and the skewers used to hold the sage in place felt like a hazard if unnoticed. The sauce, however, was pleasant. • Baccalà al forno (£25): Oven-baked cod with potatoes, raisins, pine nuts, and cherry tomatoes. Sadly dry and bland. The potatoes sat at the bottom with little sauce, and the pine nuts and raisins were too subtle to add flavour. Overall, the dish lacked moisture and seasoning. Dessert • Tiramisu: £8 over priced for the portion. Served in a cup and was nicely creamy — the highlight of the meal. Service as fairly functional and present . Overall A stylish space with good service, but the food — particularly the mains — was disappointing due to overcooking, dryness, and lack of balance. There’s potential here, but execution needs improvement.
We chose to dine here for the 50% off early bird. It’s visually very pretty with a very lovely sweet waitress but the food was lacking any real Italian flair of flavour. The fritto potato croquette was literally plain mash balled up and deep fried. Dry with no seasoning or sauce at all. The three pasta mains were fine… again very average and all needed to be reseasoned. The broccoli sides were overcooked with again…. No seasoning. The cocktails were really great. It was fine, but I’d have been really put out if we’d have paid full price. So many superior Italians in central, sadly this one is not one.
For starters we had grilled veg, a crispy thin focaccia, burrata and the beef tartare. The best part of this was however the olive oil that was served rather than the actual dishes. 3 of the 4 pasta dishes we ordered were quite bland - the carbonara that everyone’s been raving about, the frutti di mare, and the tagliolini. The ragu bianco was flavored well but wasn’t out of the world. The tiramisu and torta al cioccolato were not too bad! Service was good but the food was abit of a disappointment as I was looking forward to quite a nice meal after having seen the high ratings for this new restaurant
The venue itself is pleasant enough, though it ultimately lacked anything particularly memorable. I opted for the truffle pasta which, unfortunately, fell short of expectations - while the shaved truffle was clearly visible on the plate, the anticipated aroma and depth of flavour were notably absent, leaving the dish rather muted on the palate. For dessert, I chose the tiramisu, which proved to be deeply disappointing. After only two spoonfuls, it was clear the balance and texture were not to standard. When the tiramisu was cleared, no enquiry was made regarding the dish or our overall experience, and when we subsequently requested the bill, it was presented without further comment. Overall, the experience felt misaligned with the price point - a considerable sum for what amounted to a rather average culinary offering. A disappointing visit, regrettably.
Disappointing... We stopped here for dinner whilst in London for an event. We only booked the place based on online reviews, and it just shows how people's expectations are SO different. We arrived to a fairly quiet restaurant and as we had travelled for a while I had to use the toilet, which took me past the kitchen - where all the chefs were leaning on the cookers whilst on their phones. Not a good look. We ordered some starters and I had the focaccia which was bone dry and not very nice. The olive oil was off... For mains I had the fillet steak, and the waiter never asked me how I wanted it cooked. I assumed it would be medium rare as this is standard at most restaurants I have been to. Unfortunately my steak was well done when it landed and I could not help thinking that the chef was still on his phone downstairs. The waitress then managed to spill a bottle of water over me which wasn't great. We were offered a free desert but declined as we just wanted to leave at the end. The place was disorganised, the food was mediocre and it was pricey...£131 for 2 starters and 1 main + drinks (they did take the steak off the bill) which makes the prices even more appalling.
Only stopped for dessert, a tiramisu, as another reviewer previously rated it highly. My curiousity led me to book a table at Agrodolce, a restaurant which seems great taking into account that many other people contributed to its' excellent 4.9/5 score. However, I would say my experience wasn't particularly great. I'm not sure why coming in to order just one thing is seen by staff to be such an inconvenience considering that I am still paying for what I've ordered, and the restaurant isn't even near being fully booked. This made me feel quite uncomfortable for a few moments until I realised that I'm still a paying customer, and that I'm not doing anyone a disservice. The tiramisu itself came in a regular portion, it was very creamy and rich as it was mostly made of mascarpone. The taste, however, wasn't memorable nor sweet so I probably wouldn't recommend ordering it. Moving forward, I would personally like to come across staff that are more open minded when it comes to situations like this, as I believe this would also benefit the restaurant. Why lose a potential returning customer by making them feel uncomfortable about their choices? P.S. After reading other people's reviews I am now also wondering about the validity of this restaurant's excellent rating. It also appears that most of the latest reviews are left by people who have only ever reviewed one place - this one. For whoever is reading this and was interested in dining at Agrodolce, my suggestion is to just pick a different Italian restaurant.
