Our meal at Foley's was a delightful experience for two. The cocktails, Big Panda and Monkey Claw, were both delicious and surprising. Appetisers were great, with sweet potato fries, poppadoms accompanied by a tangy range of dips, and edamame beans. Great texture and flavour contrasts. The tamarind duck was simply delicious. Service was friendly and efficient, making the overall experience highly enjoyable. Definitely worth a visit.
I just got into London and was looking for hot Asian food. My hotel was just a few steps away and I decided to give it a try. I was able to get a table even though i didn’t have a booking(it got really busy after I sat down). Ordered the Pad Thai with prawns and a lemongrass drink. The pad Thai was piping hot when it arrived and the prawns were fresh and the noodles were not too sweet which was the way I liked. Initially I thought I wouldn’t be able to finish but it was so good I polished it off in seconds! The bill came to £21/- which was very reasonable. Would highly recommend to anyone who is craving for Asian food.
Foley’s is a slick and intimate Asian restaurant in Fitzrovia. Serving up a menu of Asian inspired dishes, cocktails and sake we were very excited about dinner! We loved the look of the cocktail menu full of flavourful ingredients. We went for the crisp and refreshing Foleys Gin & Tonic (£9) with gin, lemon, grapefruit and pink peppercorns. We also tried the Big Panda (£9.50) with Appleton white rum, sake, lemongrass & cucumber syrup, yuzu sour, topped with soda. Served in a fun tall panda glass and popping with flavour this was a real favourite. The menu is split into bits and bobs (small plates/starters), salads, meat and fish and noodle soups. We tried to go for a little bit of everything and ended up with a table full of the following: ginger calamari with ginger, coriander £(8) panko prawn, chilli lime dressing(£8) prawn pomelo, peanuts, dried coconut, chilli coriander on shiso leaf (£7) gyoza vegetable, soya wasabi (£7) somtam, green papaya salad (£8) grilled seabream, isaan style herbal marination, cooked in banana leaf, chilli lime (£17) It was genuinely hard to pick a favourite as we hugely enjoyed every dish. The calamari just melted in yout mouth and we loved the hum of ginger and the panko prawn was incredibly juicy with the crispiest of coatings. The prawn pomelo wrapped in the shiso leaf had a slightly bitter kick and was a burst of flavours. We loved the beautiful velvety soft pastry of the gyoza’s and could have easily had more! The somtam is quite fiery (we were warned) but we managed to almost finish it as the flavours were delicious and sharp. These dishes were all smaller plates and we ordered the seabream as a main to share. It did not disappoint, arriving beautifully fragrant to the table wrapped in banana leaf. The fish was penetrated to the core with flavour and was so tender. We would highly recommend this as a main – it was sublime. Foley’s is a lovely Asian restaurant in Fitzorvia for unpretentious food that is popping with flavour. We loved the creative dishes that are easily made for sharing and the delicious cocktails The laid back vibe of the place fuses great quality with friendly service and chatty staff that are clearly enthused about the menu. If you love Asian flavours and fancy trying some creative dishes with spot on flavours we would highly recommend a visit. They also have a set lunch menu for only £10 including a drink.
I’ve been here very often. Food and cocktails were very good. I really love salmon and duck here. Staff were friendly and helpful. Fast service! Good location. They quite busy during dinner time. Tasty! Yummy! Hope to see you again soon? (Dog friendly here also…)
We recently had the pleasure of dining at **Foley’s in Fitzrovia**, and it was an experience we’ll happily remember. From start to finish, everything ran smoothly, and the evening left us wanting to return soon. One of the first things that stood out was the **speed and precision of service**. Our food arrived quickly, yet without sacrificing quality or presentation. I ordered the **Couscous salad**, which was fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully balanced. The textures worked perfectly together, making it a light but satisfying choice. My wife opted for the **Prawns Pad Thai**, and it was equally impressive — generous portions of prawns, cooked to perfection, with just the right mix of flavor and spice. Both dishes were prepared with care and presented in a way that felt inviting and refined. The **staff were another highlight**. Attentive without being intrusive, they struck that ideal balance of friendliness and professionalism. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, checking in at the right times and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Another pleasant surprise was the **value**. We discovered that by paying with **Eat Club**, we received a **35% discount** on the entire bill. This made an already excellent dining experience even better, and it’s a tip I’d recommend to anyone looking to enjoy quality food in central London without stretching the budget. Overall, Foley’s combines great food, excellent service, and stylish atmosphere in one package. Whether you’re after a casual dinner for two or a place to enjoy with friends, it’s a spot worth checking out. With delicious dishes, a welcoming team, and the bonus of great value, Foley’s Fitzrovia is definitely a restaurant we’ll be returning to.
What a delightful hidden gem! This cozy Thai restaurant in Foley offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal. The food is absolutely excellent—flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The service was just as impressive. Manager Adnan was incredibly kind and welcoming; he made sure we were well taken care of from the moment we walked in. His attention to detail and hospitality truly made our experience special. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Thai food and a friendly, charming setting!
Just had a delicious lunch with my daughter at Foley's, the service is excellent, unhurried but attentive. The food is absolutely delicious, actually so good I had eaten some of my meal before taking the photo, and the lunch menu is great value for money. Lovely setting, we ate on the ground floor but there is a downstairs area and also an outside area for our sunny days. Great lunch, thank you.
I was in a hurry so just had two small plates and a beer. The atmosphere was chilled with nice spaced tables and relaxed lighting, The service with attentive and very friendly and welcoming. Both dishes were excellent, especially the duck bao. Definitely recommend!
I took my friend here who was visiting London. The staff was so kind and attentive, the food and wine was incredible and it was so beautiful in the restaurant itself. Was a short walk from central, in a quiet peaceful area, so you could absolutely get in a nice walk or shop in after wards.
London's Hidden Gem! I am truly surprised as to how amazing this place was. The whole thing just was such a comfortable chilled out experience. The most important thing was that the food was good, halal and reasonably priced. (Chicken and Beef halal only). There is an incredible variety of food. You can see the open kitchen prepare the food fresh by trained chefs. Service was excellent, very attentive and not like fake happy, just chilled out and honest which is what you want. The time flew by as we were having such a great time. We felt relaxed. Only criticism is the that green curry was too watery for my liking, definitely should be thicker and creamier. I like the innovativeness of the desserts and the creativeness. I would definitely come here again and bring different group of friends.
I had such a great experience at this Asian fusion spot! The service was genuinely some of the best I’ve had in a long time—friendly, super attentive, and full of personality. The staff made us feel right at home and even had us laughing throughout the meal. We ordered exclusively from the “Bits and Bobs” section, and everything was absolutely delicious. Great variety, bold flavors, and generous portions—perfect for sharing (or not!). To finish, we tried the chocolate chai cake, which was a lovely, lightly spiced treat to end the meal. Highly recommend checking this place out—fantastic food, stellar service, and a really welcoming vibe. Will definitely be back!
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Didn't catch the manager's name but assume from other reviews it's Adnan... Genuinely funny, warming and endearing. Beef brisket curry was top notch. Will return as the service was so good and to try more... Dessert next time also.
Great location, just off Oxford Street. We got the ginger calamari, duck buns, rock shrimp and prawn dumplings. All were amazing but the shrimp and calamari definitely stood out. For mains we got the brisket curry and the tom yam prawn. Tom yam prawn was missing that deep flavour in the broth but the brisket curry was truly amazing. Egg fried rice good. We had a discount and our bill was about £55 which is reasonable.
this was very tasty!!! the cocktails were good and i liked the aubergine & tofu. the staff were so nice i can’t remember his name but he gave us a free beer which is much appreciated :)) lots of good veggie options too yay
What a fantastic discovery! The food was incredibly tasty, the cocktails were excellent, and the value for money was spot on. Best of all, it’s super dog-friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We chose this spot to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and our evening couldn’t have been better. The staff were warm and attentive, making sure everything about our dinner was perfect. Highly recommend the Pad Thai — it was absolutely delicious!
Cute little place. Staff were very kind, food was delicious. Prices for main plates were excellent!
Such nice food!!! Friendly atmosphere, comfy seats, and great staff attending. Very grateful to Irene who was our server this evening. Thank you so much for entertaining us. The food is really yummy and filling. Definitely worth the price. I also highly recommend the mocktails. The ginger one was my favourite however my friend preferred the strawberry fusion. Overall, a fantastic experience.
Really nice Asian fusion restaurant serving quality dishes with lots of flavour. I recommend the crab rice dish which was great, but all of the menu is worth exploring. Staff are quick to serve and the interior design is also well done. Find yourself in the area its well worth a visit.
Such great service and amazing dinner. So tasty, loved it!
Wonderful restaurant with informative and fun staff. We shared a good few dishes and all of us have said that this was amazing and would go back. The drinks were great too. Recommend the tamarind duck as everyone said it looked the best and was delicious to have. One of the best fusion places I’ve had
Nice restaurant with an interesting Asian inspired menu! The dessert was a bit of a let down though! Pad thai was lovely! The waitresses were particularly lovely! I recommend this place
One of the best meals I’ve had in ages. Absolutely delicious. Came early on a Friday night and it had a lovely atmosphere. Starters: the ginger calamari was the most delicious calamari I’ve ever had. Mushroom bao buns were good though quite dense. Refreshing edamame. Mains, we shared the salmon which was teriyaki - loved the salad it came with. And the chilli prawn which again was delish and so reasonably priced. If you have the code hospitality app they have v good discounts too. Cocktails looked great but wasn’t drinking. Will be back to try All the stuff we didn’t order! 👏🏻 also have a v reasonable lunch deal. Our waitress adlie was very sweet too!
One of the best Thai we’ve ever had. The portion sizes are good, tastes amazing and has the right balance of spices. Would highly recommend this place to Thai lovers if you are looking for a place around Central London. Special mention to Irene for looking after us well, cheers team Foley’s.
The meal at Foley's was far better than I expected- excellent value and full of flavour No nasty hidden costs Would highly recommend and will be visiting again
Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the staff took time to explain each dish and ingredients. The restaurant ambiance was cozy and modern, with soft lighting and that made the experience even more enjoyable.
Fresh cook and hot dish! We ordered a few dishes for sharing. All the dishes were very nice. Staff was nice and helpful for our selection. Nice restaurant in central London I would recommend.
I had a wonderful lunch here. Tried a variety of dishes and they were all absolutely delicious. The service was excellent — attentive without being intrusive — and the atmosphere was calm and peaceful. A place where you truly feel taken care of. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful dinner at Foleys last night with my brother over from Australia. The calamari (very moorish), wagyu skewer and prawn dumplings were amazing. As were the curries and wine. The staff were super friendly and attentive. A lovely welcome after being caught out in the rain!
My friends and I had pad Thai, the Singaporean noodles and the shrimp curry. Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable, big thank you to Irene for being a wonderful waitress. The Asian garden cocktail is really delicious, highly recommend.
Lovely meal indeed! We were there during festive period and the restaurant was a bit busy. But didn't wait long for food. Friendly staff, really nice food and good cocktails. I recommend chicken satay for starter. Hope to visit again soon. Well done Foley's!!!
Good spot for lunch. We turned up on Saturday morning without a reservation, they were expecting a large party but managed to seat us and told us we could have the table for 1hr 30, which was fine for us. Staff were good and helpful when explaining which dishes were popular. I like the vibe, quite trendy and chilled. We had the kimchi benedict, which was good and the scrambled eggs on sour dough. I would highly recommend the stick pork as a side, I chose it because I wanted to try it even though it didn't really go with our breakfast, but it was amazing and my favourite dish out of everything
Nice place to have lunch, we ordered prawn crackers, som tam and salmon avocado tartare for starters and pad Thai and brisket curry with coconut rice for the mains. The som tam was generous and tasted good, but could be a bit spicier. The salmon tartare needed more seasoning as it was a bit bland so we added some of the sauce from the som tam on top which saved it. The pad Thai was overall quite nice, good texture from the noodles and a reasonable portion size, the brisket curry and rice was also tasty and the brisket itself was soft. All in all the food was pretty good but you can find more authentic dishes at more home style restaurants. I would like to say however that the service was excellent, very friendly and efficient staff. Kudos to them!
Delicious food. We had. Chicken Satay. Prawn Tempura. Prawn Pomello. Thai salad. Har gao. Crab fried rice and sea bream chicken Thai curry. Food was really tasty. Staff exceptionally friendly and attentive The star of the show for me was the prawn tempura. Only one thing I found the green Thai curry watery and the chicken just seemed to be added. I would deffo go back
Overall a nice dinner, and I don't have any real complaints other than it being rather loud. But that's not the restaurants fault. Pad Thai was excellent and would recommend. Reasonably priced.
Good starters, although the papaya salad was very sweet and not balanced with the other flavours. Thai green curries for our main were flavoursome and with a perfect level of heat. Dessert was a bit disappointing- would've preferred the chocolate chai cake warm, although it was a generous portion.
I went in to Foley's not expecting anything mind-blowing and as expected Foley's serves good Thai food without any overly fancy twists. Their service is top notch. The place had a cozy vibe to it though it was still a tad simple. We ordered a plethora of dishes and in our opinion the food were overall good. The pad Thai and beef masamman were top notch. The crab fried rice and chicken satay were good enough. The prawn garlic sauce was a downer. Now I couldn't find anything that can bring me back and back. The portions were underwhelming for the price point. The restaurant doesn't have a vibe that can at least get me interested to come again. Nonetheless I was pleasantly happy with be end to end experience and Foley's did exceed the low expectations I had.
We went for our date night to Foley's, which is also the name of the street they are on. The location is excellent and accessibility is great. Since we were booked for an early dinner we were the first ones to be seated but soon after the restaurant filled up pretty quickly. It has a very warm ambiance making it feel cosy for a nice private date and we also noticed it was used for friends to catch up as a group. Regarding the food, for starters we ordered Ginger Calamari which was a nice twist as I had always had pepper calamari and this was a nicer dish. We also had Duck bao buns which were quite delicious. In the mains we shared one dish each and the quantity was really nice - we had Chicken + Prawn Pad Thai and Duck Curry with lychee. My comment here would be when asked to give mix chicken and prawn pad thai - the server should have told us about the additional price that would be charged for the mix option as the option we picked was of Prawn and it was of higher amount than the chicken. Both the dishes were served very quickly and tastes great. For drinks we ordered, Jackie Chan and Foley's Gin and Tonic - the latter was nicer. The original booking was said to be for 90 minutes and despite the restaurant being full we were not asked to leave - which was nice. The booking through FirstTable helped reduce the food prices but the drinks are slightly on the higher side. But overall, we had a good date night and the restaurant staff were really quick and provided a lovely service.
We had a good dinner at Foley's, an Asian fusion restaurant in Fitzrovia. We shared several starters, including sweet potato fries, ginger calamari squid, and rock shrimp tempura. For my main course, I had the prawn pad Thai, which was delicious and flavorful, and the portion size was good. Some of the group thought that the food was quite salty, especially the Singapore noodles. Despite the restaurant not being busy, the service was slow.
A cosy Thai restaurant with a decent cocktail menu and plenty of Thai classics. We enjoyed the duck curry, calamari, matchstick chicken wings, chicken Pad Thai and a mango rice pudding. Portions were on the smaller side but flavour was good and ingredients were fresh. Would have liked to see more rice on the sticky mango pudding and fresh mango instead of mango pudding (perhaps mango wasn't in season) but a nice dessert to round off the meal regardless. Staff are attentive and friendly. Would recommend for a quick weeknight dinner or casual meal out with friends. Vegetarian options available as well
Great presentation, excellent service, wonderful ambience. Dishes were generally good but more pan Asian in showcasing classic dishes rather than Asian fusion in combining or reinventing flavours. Tamarind duck was superb! Wagyu beef was disappointing. Portions were modest. Value for money could be better.
One of the best restaurants I have been to in a while in London. The food was executed exquisitely and the service was on point. It is on the expensive side but I thought the food was fresh and the flavours were great. Would go again for a special occasion. The only downfall was that the desserts were disappointing compared to the rest of the delightful meal.
Worth trying with the "First table" offer I liked the papaya salad
Buzzing atmosphere on a Friday night! Portions quite small, but otherwise nice food. Cocktails were alright, but wouldn’t recommend the Big Panda. Miso salad was the best dish we got. Singapore noodles left a bit to be desired - quite dry. The duck curry was nice and nasi goreng fine too. Overall, very moderately priced, but you get what you paid (if not slightly less..!)
Atmosphere is good, service is good, but food is nothing special, and if anything lacked flavour. Dessert was underwhelming. Drinks were alright. Was in bad overall? Not at all. Will I go again? No.
Stopped here for a quick dinner with my daughter since we were in the area for a doctor's appointment. The restaurant proclaims to be Asian fusion. However, I had a hard time finding the twist or fusion flavors if you will. It seemed more like a pan Asian menu. The mushroom bao buns were our favorite. I ordered the braised beef curry as my main and my daughter ordered the chicken Pad Thai. Both were decent dishes, but nothing good enough to bring me back for another visit. The flavors were ordinary. This was the same kind of food I get at my local Thai restaurant.
Their take on Asian cuisine was interesting. Some of the starters and mains could do with more spices. I also found some of the dishes a tad sweet. Desserts were a bit underwhelming. Overall, worth a try but I was not blown away. Service was excellent though.
Service was good albeit there were only 2 waitresses from what we could see in a full restaurant. The food was okay and wouldn't say it's a must visit. What I would recommend is the raspberry dream dessert. The mango salad and fried crab rice was okay but the ginger calamari was quite salty.
It's okay but pretty bland. The chicken red and green curries were bland. The ginger beef was the best fish. The mango rice is bad and takes ages to come. The staff are nice.
The place was nice. The staff were nice (only staff complaints I can do is that I asked a toothpick to a waiter, and after 30 min he was nowhere to be seen, hence I've had to ask again to another one). The food wasn't too expensive. But.. the meat was stringy and ... the satay chicken skewers were TWO only, despite being bigger than normal. But still, the chicken meat was not cooked properly, and generally me and my daughter and I were unsatisfied. Sorry. Maybe the cook wasn't at its best that day.. but generally not a place I'd like to come back.
Good Decor, Non existent seasoning on the food (Tom yam especially tasted like nothing - literally tap water with a couple drops of vinegar), use of old ingredients (fried rice and sea bream), terrible portion sizes and a lack of conscience with a cheeky 20% service charge tacked on at the end. One to avoid for sure.
