🍸✨ Cocktails & Culinary Charms at Sanderson Hotel! 🍽️🏨 Located just moments from Oxford Street, our evening at this lifestyle haven was a symphony of flavors and elegance! 🌟🥂 @sandersonsocial The Long Bar, an Onyx masterpiece, set the stage with its 80-foot charm and a delightful selection of cocktails, especially the ones featuring Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Dry Gin. Each sip was a tantalizing journey through taste and sophistication! 🍹 Transitioning to the restaurant, we were greeted by visionary design and breathtaking views. The A La Carte Menu at The Restaurant at Sanderson curated a feast for our senses. 😍🍴 The Mezze platter, an ensemble of baba ganoush, hummus, tzatziki, and pita bread, alongside the exquisite Salmon Gravlax, kicked off our dining experience with a burst of flavors. The mains? A culinary dream come true! The BBQ Octopus, Angus Burger, and Ribeye steak - each dish flawlessly prepared and bursting with perfection. 🦑🍔🥩 The team's warmth and hospitality added an extra layer of delight to an already incredible evening. This isn't just dining; it's an experience woven with elegance, taste, and friendly faces. 🌆✨

Excellent food and service. Surprised this place wasn’t busier on a Thursday night. Excellent set menu and prices

I came for the Alice in Wonderland afternoon tea and absolutely adored it. I definitely expected it to be a bit gimmicky and to sacrifice a little on the food quality because of the theme, but my partner and I were both shocked to find that this was by far the best afternoon tea either of us have had. We both usually end up leaving many of the sweets, but this was excellent. Somehow, even with a literal bowl of cotton candy, this was less stodgy and sweet than other high teas we've had. If you are an Alice lover, I would highly recommend this. Besides the truly delicious food, they also have real quotes from the books and use the original John Tenniel illustrations in their decor. The theming really was great. The only critique I have is that the room is a bit odd - it seems like they haven't really committed to the idea, as it isn't themed at all. I think this experience could be made even more special with a room that really whisks you into the world, instead of just a corner of a hotel

I loved everything about Sanderson restaurant. Staring with very nice welcoming, letting us choose the table, making sure we are comfortable & introducing the menu . It exceeded my expectations. The service was very attentive. Waly did his best to help me choose exactly what I like. The other waiter was also professional. We loved all : starters, mains & dessert. I had nicoise salad ( green beans, soft boiled egg, confit tuna, kalamata, san marzano, pink fir ) as a starter & it great! As main I had Label anglais half chicken, watercress & tomato provencal with sauce & sides . It was yummy 😋 I had creme caramel & my partner had cheese with crackers & we both liked all. We had a great experience & would love to return again.

I love this place! It’s vibrant, young, artistic and classic! I know, it’s a lot but all true. The space have very classy furniture and the lighting is charming in the lobby and the bar. The food is amazing too, the slow cooked beef was spot on and tasty. The chips were very good too. The chocolate gateau was amazing, with cream in between the buns. Delicious. The only thing I dislike is the white light in a small part of the dinning space. It makes you look terrible, like you’re in a hospital with pale white skin.

Went for afternoon tea. Service was excellent, all round. Food was excellent and refillable. Atmosphere is completely lacking though, venue feels very sterile and no where to sit post dinner and relax as only sofas are poorly positioned in hotel lobby

Absolutely loved the Mad Hatter’s afternoon tea at Sanderson! The Alice in Wonderland theme is so beautifully done — every detail felt magical. The cakes were absolutely delicious. A fun and memorable experience I’d highly recommend!

Came here for a networking event twice. First time we were served buffet. It was alright. The second I was here I was served a three course meal over dinner. It was so tasty and delicious. The quality of the food was top notch. I enjoyed the appetiser octopus with potatoes, the octopus was very fresh. The chicken was woah, especially the sauce, the chicken was nicely done but it could have been a bit more tender. The dessert chocolate mousse was absolutely amazing, literally melting in my mouth. The service was excellent too. The staff were very attentive. They kept coming up to refill our drinks.

Amazing cocktails. Lovely food in great surroundings. We opted to share a sweet desert crème caramel and a cheese selection and asked for an additional cracker and were told ‘that was the portion you get’. A little disappointing on a lovely evening.

This place is absolutely amazing. The sanderson itself is worth a trip to London. The staff is super nice and the food delicious. But the icing on the cake is the beautiful decor and the little garden they have. If you have time, give this a visit definitely!!

Had the MOST wonderful time at the Sanderson and especially breakfast at the restaurant - it’s top notch! Specifically we had the pleasure of meeting Sanyogita, our spectacular server who went above and beyond and just made the whole London experience perfection! Thank you!!

We had a spontaneous lunch at The Restaurant at The Sanderson Hotel and were welcomed and looked after by José who was soo lovely. He went above and beyond with his service and and assistance and made sure we had the perfect lunch date. He made our spontaneous that little more memorable and left us with a warm smile. He is a gem to the business

Exactly how service should be. We had a great dinner last night, and highly recommend going in for the Sushi … and then having the burger! So glad to see this hotel reopened! Looking forward to coming back.

Went there 2 weeks ago. No complaints really. Food was excellent, service was excellent. The place is in the hotel which is not apparent when you're standing outside. Some of the best satay the wife and I have had. We'll recommended for Malaysian food, albeit its not cheap.

A 5* lunch. I came across a Time Out offer for three courses and booked for a friend and I. The service was unbelievably good, attentive, fun and friendly. I asked for my clam linguine to be cooked very well done because I am pregnant and not an issue for the chef at all. All three courses were delicious, I also had a bar snack before the meal which was tasty but I did let the waiter know that one of the arancini was ice cold so not reheated well. I was not concerned as it was a mushroom dish no meat or fish in it. I would most definitely return and enjoy a stay, meal and post pregnancy some drinks at the bar. Highly recommended

If you're tired of shopping on Regent Street, this is the best place to grab your lunch or dinner. It's a quiet, calm, atmospheric spot with incredibly fast and friendly service, and exquisitely delicious cuisine. Highly recommend.

Mad Hatters tea was a great experience. Lovely courtyard setting with Flamingos and water features. Very busy so booking is essential. Great for groups or couples. Fabulous good, great selection of savoury bites and sandwiches and cakes were to die for. The tea selection is based on character's from Alice in wonderland and were superb. One of my favourite afternoon tea's in London!

Yea was amazing! And the service outstanding! Andrew was very attentive. Unfortunately, the food was not to our liking though the scones and some of the sweets were great!

The Sanderson is a very well-known hotel in London; Amy Winehouse and her boyfriend were papped outside here after a week-long binge which gives it a bit of rock 'n' roll glamour. The interior design is very stylized which seems to attract a certain type of person - think guys in snazzy suits and women with *very* high heels. The rooms themselves are lovely, although you don't get much privacy in the bathroom and when I visited in the height of the summer the air conditioning was less than efficient. Great location though.

Delicious lunch on the Terrace, made special by our helpful friendly waitress Antonella nothing was too much trouble. We’ll be back.

Located in the Sanderson hotel. The exterior is circa 1960-, the interior has been modernised but the initial impression is a very odd concierge area followed by a bar then to the dining area. Seating was adequately spaced out. Service was attentive. Food was below average unfortunately, some dishes looked like they could have come out of a Tesco pack. Garlic oil in the tzatziki was too strong on garlic and breath stank of garlic after. Baba ganoid was terrible, it looked like mushroom pate/ mash or tuna rather than aubergine and had an overpowering taste of cumin and garlic. Houmous was good. The three Radishes was a good touch. The burrata was very mild , salad was ok. Bit as a combination a very underwhelming dish. Smoked Salmon was warm, quinoa cold would have been a good dish if the temperature was better equilibrated between the cold quinoa and the warm smoked salmon. Nice vinaigrette for the salad . Quail’s egg, two halfs was half boiled, not runny and tiny. Pecans nuts was a nice touch but would have been better if it was roasted. Beef Bavette which is also know as a flank steak was a chewy and gamey, a small portion - thankfully as my jaw muscles hurt from trying to chew, I was glad of its small portion. Chips which accompanied the steak was good. Bernnaise sauce was good . Service was generally good and attentive.

We had the Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea. The food was lovely, but was let down by hopeless service and a tatty environment. The tea is served in a courtyard under a marquee, this is not pleasant, particularly in winter. The bathrooms are very grotty, not at all 5 star. There were far to few staff, no one on the door or reception when we arrived and so few waiting staff we had to wait ages for any attention, and getting any tea top ups was nearly impossible. Even paying the bill and leaving was embarrassingly tricky. All round the worst service I have ever experienced in a "5 star" establishment.

m
max shop

Excellent meal from Dan Merriman. Spoilt by the loud music from DJ in adjoining bar - that is not what fine dining is about. Step behind the facade of lobby and endless white or vile lime green walls. Toilets impossible to find as no signs anywhere. A shabby chic mirror on the toilet wall does not make it up market when the doors are plywood and tap hanging off. 5* establishment? I don’t think so!

A very design orientated hotel. Some great artistic pieces - the red lips chair and bubble seat. zebra seat in the pool room. The rooms are very neutral looking ie white, lovely swan chairs Breakfast in fabulous but expensive £25

Possibly one of the worst experiences so far in the luxury hotel bracket. The food is simply mediocre (linguine with clams drowned in a litre of oil, risotto uncooked and fish served still with bones, only to name a few) but what really amazes is the appalling restaurant service and their total absence of customer service. Nearly an hour for an order to arrive on occasions due to kids tea parties, even for the hotel clients who get absolutely ignored. Between the booking lady and the restaurant manager the bad manners, the abusive behaviour and the total lack of professionalism is definitely overwhlming. It is like dealing with kids throwing a tantrum: killer glances, stiff lips and a lot more accompany the surreal environment. And when you go to the reception to complain about it, you're told 'the restaurant staff had a different version'. No apologies, because the customers come last at the Sanderson. Over five days staying there (as I usually do twice a year with my LA guests) I can definitely say the customer service is abhorrent and in no way I will take any of my clients to this premises again. They should understand looks and glamour do not make up for lack of manners...

I had previous been to the Sanderson for dinner before covid and stopped by to have another great experience. Walking through the door, it was noticeable that the management had changed. There was a lot of staff around but lack the customer service to acknowledge customers. I walked in and had to stand around waiting to be acknowledged by any staff. After being taken to a table, we ordered food and drinks. The food was ok but the experience afterwards soured the whole experience. After finishing our food, we waited close to 15 minutes for someone to clear our table. I finally got the attention of the waiting staff, asked for the plates to be cleared, and asked for water and the bill. I repeated this request three times, and the staff walked away without removing the plates. Then someone returned with the bill. I then pointed out I asked for the plates to be removed, asked for water and then the bill. Took another member of staff to action this. This honesty felt like faulty towers. Due to this experience, I asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill. First time I had ever done this. This restaurant has all the trappings to be brilliant but the staff need more training on etiquette and customer service.

I've been in the restaurant with my partner last Monday. At the beginning everything was going well, we ordered a bottle of wine and accidentally the waiter broke the cork, he went to the bar to ask for help, and he came back with the same bottle but unfortunately when he served it was some cork inside the bottle so we asked if he could change it. our surprise was when we seen the bartender taking a bottle already opened, straining the wine that we send back and refilling it.. as we saw this we asked to the waiter for a new bottle… He changed without problem but the bartender seem really upset about it. when the food came it was a bit cold but we didn’t complain at we thought it was already to much, for our surprise when the steak that we ordered came, it wasn’t cooked at the point we asked but again we just ate it, two bites because at the third we noticed a weird flavour, as if it was off… we just asked for the bill and went out. We really do not recommend it at all!!

Truly shocked at the quality of food served to us yesterday. I ended up sending both courses back. Ordered the Calamari tempura which tasted like I was eating rubber. For the main course I had ordered the braised short rib of beef. I was expecting tender fall apart meat drenched in a red wine sauce. Instead we got served meat that was impossible to cut with a knife and fork. Truly appalling food served at what they call a 5 star established. 24hours later and I still can’t get over my shock!

We waited for ages and no one came to serve us. We only were shown a table and were told that someone would come to us soon. That never happened. The place didn’t seem busy at all. No one apologized for the wait. We just left.

Horrible experience! Came for lunch and used a voucher to order a 'whole meal' (does not include any sides) for only £40. What was not disclosed was that there was an extra fee to pay if you wanted to order steak, only the chicken was included in the voucher. This was not written in the menu and the waiter serving us did not inform us. When it was time to pay, the bill was higher than expected since the extra fee was not communicated. We run this problem with the manager who states that we were not given the updated menu which included the extra fees. Instead of apologising for their mistake, his response was abrasive and rude. We were alright to pay the extra fee had he apologised properly and acknowledge the error. Not only was the customer service unpleasant, the food was bland and left two of my friends with stomach bugs. I would say the price for what we were served was not worth it at all!

Mid week shambles What I can only describe as a utter mess. We booked a table for a birthday dinner - they had a special offer for 50% off food for showcasing a new chef. My view based on all elements: The venue - really lovely vibe but very cold. It was warmer outside. We asked the waitress to address the temperature. Nothing happened. The staff - not sure what they were doing too be honest. There was so many of them yet it took us 30 mins to get a spirits menu and forever for our drinks to even turn up. The only beverage menu they provide is wine and cocktails. The waitress couldn't tell you what dishes had dairy or what dishes didn't (the menu had about 8 starters and main courses). When I placed my order for fillet, she didn't bother asking how I wanted my meat cooked??? Definitely some training needed I feel. The food - well. what a mess. Everything was absolutely drenched in salt. Starters were - octopus and burrata - both were so so salty. The octopus was overcooked, salty, burnt and cold. For main course I had fillet steak - which basically was rare (not medium rare which I ordered). It was cold and salty. We also had the sea bass and the cod - both were cold and salty. We ordered the steamed veg which was also cold, when we asked to have some warm veg they put the veg in the microwave and sent it back. We got to the point where we were really disappointed with cold, salty, overcooked food. We told the waitress and the manager came over and insisted all the food was recooked. And no surprise here - the food came back on a warmer plate....however it was luke warm and salty. What a mess. Considering this was supposedly profiling a new chef it was pretty terrible. All we got offered was a free drinks round and I wasn't even drinking. Lack luster staff. Busy doing nothing. Pretty awful food. 5* star hotel. I can without a doubt say we will not be going back.

Absolute disgrace, The food is mediocre. The portions are so disappointing and lacked flavour. I ordered the Grilled Octopus and would not recommend. It’s a shame because the hotel is really nice,

Service was rotten. 2.5hrs for a 3 course meal. And it wasn't because the food was sitting on our table waiting for us. 20 mins before server even came to the table! 1 hour wait for a little 1x1 square of chocolate moose!!!! Rotten. Never come here again!!!!

We waited a long time and no waiter showed up even tho they saw us.
