First the staff were lovely and a big shout out to them for their professionalism, whilst never being over attentive, they were perfect. We were greeted by front of house with a smile. Only sorry we didn't get any of their names. Moving onto the food, it was very well cooked and the options were well thought out, catering for all types of tastes. Id like to recommend the Oxtail fritters as an appetiser and the main Brasied beef with mash potato as a main, it was very much a hearty meal on a cold day. My party members also enjoyed the Venison and the ceasar salad. The chocolate cheesecake was also enjoyed. We also noticed the bathrooms were spotless which is usually a sign of the clientele and efficient cleaning practices which often goes unnoticed. Wait times were minimal, the lighting was gorgeous as was the ambiance, all in all, a perfect place to eat and get away from the crazy Soho scene. Thanks again, if ever in Soho, will return.

We visited Refuel for pre-party cocktails, and the festive atmosphere was exceptional. Even with a packed lounge, the front of house team managed the flow with impressive professional ease. The cocktails were expertly balanced, and while the bar snacks carry a Soho premium, the quality and execution justify the spend for a special occasion. Friendly service and stunning Christmas decor make this a top tier choice for holiday drinks.

The resturant inside the soho hotel is wonderful, I went for lunch. Lovely fresh food, spacious dining area and friendly staff.

This restaurant is a hidden gem inside the Soho Hotel. Service and attention to detail impeccable. The cocktail bar was rammed on a Saturday night so you’ll need to book the restaurant which is now in my top 4 London places to eat. We shared three starters - the best was Crab ravioli stuffed with white crab in a tomato sauce, next a soft, sweet caramelised onion tart, followed by chicken liver parfait with brioche toast. We were sharing ! The triumph was the shared main - a Crab and Crab Mousse en croute with a lemony buttery sauce - asked for a doggy bag to take home. And yes, room for ice cream. Faultless cooking and service - visit soon!

Party of two came for dinner to Refuel and we loved it! We booked through The Fork and we were amazed by the quality of the produce, the venue and the great service offered. We ordered the oxtail croquettes (£10) which where fabulous, not the traditional spanish croquettes per se, but delightful nonetheless; it consisted of tender oxtail meat with a fried crumb covering, which came with grated parmesan and sauce. For mains, we ordered the forest crab ravioli with tomato and shellfish dressing (£16) and the papardelle, woodland mushrooms, wild garlic and parmesan (£11). The ravioli was heavenly, a very generous portion of crab and a delicious dressing, and the papardelle were freshly made, with tons of mushrooms and incredibly flavourful. For dessert, we ordered the white chocolate and peach Melba choux (£9) which was also amazing, not too overly sweet and very proportional; and the Compressed melon, cherry and watermelon sorbet (£9) which was our favourite dessert, it was very refreshing, all of the flavours were balanced and complemented nicely. The service was superb and efficient, and we really enjoyed our experience.

Wow. Had a LOVELY 4 course birthday lunch with my sister. She treated me. The staff were AMAZING. Robyn, accommodated our change of time, confirmed our offer was in place, and was lovely on the phone. Ali and Edy our wait staff (apologies for misspelling) were engaging, thoughtful and intelligent. Every staff person made our experience a delight. Poor Edy had no choice but listen to my sister’s new kitten stories 😱 (admittedly, the kitten is beautiful). I have loved Firmdale for a long time. I love the Kit Kemp design. We will be back. Every Firmdale hotel is stunning ❤️❤️❤️

Located inside the Soho Hotel, this beautiful restaurant/bar serves amazing cocktails. It's also a great place to hangout with friendly bartenders. Had the best old fashioned here that I've ever tasted. Will be back to try their other cocktails in the future.

They do such a good Sunday roast deal - 3 courses for £30! One of the best roasts I’ve ever had, the service was excellent and the interiors really interesting. Loved our cocktails too.

I had afternoon tea and breakfast. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Beautifully appointed diningroom. Eddie was especially helpful (picture below), he spent time telling me about the hotel, their locations in London and New York, and generally just made me feel both welcomed and valued as a patron.

Great ambience Good food We originally had the set menu in mind when we booked our reservation but it was explained that from Wednesday to Friday the set menu stops at 7pm. There’s still the option of enjoying the choices from the bar menu but I opted for the Chicken curry and cheesecake for dessert. For drinks I had a lemonade as wasn’t having alcohol though there was a great drinks menu including the house cocktail selection (or your favourite if not listed). Great helpful staff and when we explained it was a joint birthday celebration they gave us some delicious cake with fruits.

What a beautiful restaurant. Nice choice of lunch menu. Everything was spot on. Our server was just amazing. Would definitely recommend for lunch with friends or business. The afternoon tea looked very nice!

This is a lovely restaurant for special events. I dined here with my sister after a private movie screening in The Soho Hotel, to celebrate both of our birthdays. AMBIANCE & SERVICE ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 Dimly lit - we dined past 9pm - which creates a really chill vibe. The staff were super welcoming and friendly, and helped out a ton with choices and perks to celebrate. FOOD ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 I ordered the lamb mains, and apple and berry pie for dessert. I was given both custard to drizzle, and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream as well. DRINKS ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 Ordered the Damn-quiri, which had pomegranate in it. Sour and just perfect; not at all what you’d expect. Blended so well, you couldn’t taste the alcohol. Kudos to the bar staff.

Quirky unique interior design. Cocktails and service were first class. Didn't try the food. Highly recommended.

Loved this experience, tucked inside soho hotel, passed the really big black cat. if you've had a long day walking about and shopping, then the seats alone are worth give stars. by far and away the comfiest seating I had in any restaurant for a while! the food wasn't bad either! fresh ingredients, sensitively treated, I had the crab pasta that slowly built in heat as I ate it. nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. it's also great to see how well the staff interact with the kids- kind, attentive and welcoming. so much so that I'd actually like to stay in the hotel! great visit, we'll worth a try!

Very attentive and informative staff. Great variety of drinks, I didn’t see many non alcoholic ones but you can ask for any drink and staff will try their best to do it. The only annoying thing was pouring camomile tea to my cup, as it has loose tea leaves it blocks the pot of tea sometimes and loads of tea spills over. Maybe investing in having a strainer inside the teapot would work better. Aside of my struggle with the camomile tea and massive spillage, every other drinks were amazing and some very unique. As a regular customer, Refuel certainly only gets better and better. We never really stayed for food, but I hope they have some vegan options!

Nice casual afternoon tea. Not as over the top as many other 5 star hotels in London. Very nice “soho experience”, great to bring guests in London.

This is a really nice hidden gem! Went for dinner on a Friday. Friendly and prompt service, tasty food, and good options. Nice atmosphere as well. The appetizers were underwhelming, I would say, but the main was incredible.

Adam and the team went above and beyond on Saturday evening and looked after us so well. The food was wonderful as were the drinks but the service really made it a stand out experience.

Great drinks, very proper and well mannered staff. Ambience was lovely. I love how the bar leaned into it's history and we had quite the fun learning about it and why the quirky and colorful decor - and the drinks- are what they are. 10/10 will recommend

The Refuel Bar & Restaurant is a delightful place to have a drink or meal with friends, before a show or cocktail before moving on elsewhere. We were looking for a place away from the Soho crowds and having called them within five minutes we had a table for 6. The cocktails were lovely, well presented and very tasty. The staff were respectful and excellent in service. The design of the bar and surrounding area is elegantly thought out and the imagery behind the bar is awesome. Highly recommended – a little hidden gem in Soho, close to bars, China Town and theatres.

Love the restaurant. The environment is good. The lamp dish is amazing. And the staff is excellent and friendly.

I find it interesting how the servers describe each item on the cake stand, more amazing is how they’ve memorized all of the ingredients. This is a list of what we had: Sweet: – Lime custard tart with pineapple, chili, coconut and passionfruit – Strawberries and cream macaron – Cherry and white chocolate cupcake – Heritage beetroot, walnut and sultana cake, stem ginger frosting – Plain and fruit scones, clotted cream and preserves Savory: – Cucumber, cream cheese, basil bread – Mature cheddar and tomato chutney, white bloomer – Smoked salmon and dill crème fraîche on granary – Sage and onion sausage roll – Prawn cocktail, bridge loaf Yuuum!

Inside the soho hotel, this place is a gem. Great food, exceptional service, amazing decor and the atmosphere is always buzzing. Kudos to the staff who are always smiling, always engaged. The best place in London!

Beautiful bar and restaurant. Sunday menu is real good deal at £30 for 3 courses in such a stylish setting. Restaurant staff is super attentive and helpful. Delightful experience.

Had a fantastic afternoon tea today in this restaurant/bar. As a tea lover, I was not really sure which tea to pick, the lovely lady who served me, from Ravenna, suggested me to choose the Mythical Creatures (hope that I get the name correctly), she explained that the owner of the restaurant or of the hotel (I'm not sure), create it. It was like heaven!! Also the sandwiches and the desserts were really good, fresh ingredients and everything. Totally worth the price (which is not too expensive) Definitely coming back! ❤

Really great oasis in the middle of Soho. Great decor, really nice food and great wines. We really liked the young attentive well trained team who looked after us fantastically

We loved this restaurant. We all started with Dorset crab lasagne - which was just delicious, then two of us had lamb, one of us had the schnitzel. Each of us loved our mains too. The service was impeccable. While you couldn't describe the price as cheap, it is excellent value for the quality of food. There was plenty of room as the table. Seating was very comfortable. A couple of guys were playing music. Often I find music too loud, but not this time - I thought that the music then was really lovely. We would definitely go back.

I booked this for my husband's birthday - what a great experience! The staff were absolutely lovely, the food was delicious and plentiful, the dining room was relaxing and the film was the icing on the cake. A big thank you to all the staff at the Soho Hotel who made it such a special day.

We had an excellent Sunday lunch, great food and wine, we started with a glass of champagne then shared a bottle of Albarino. The starter chicken pate was delicious. For our mains we had Sunday roast, an excellent sirloin of beef with the best roast potatoes ever also a great vegetable selection especially the broccoli greens. Abs Fab desserts also. Wonderful staff, they were welcoming and professional. Especially the male waiter, he was so friendly and helpful. Also the lady who helped us to the screening room she was also excellent. It was a rememberable lunch occasion for all the right reasons. Five star ***** We cannot wait to return.

Fabulous from start to finish! Came back to eat at Refuel as you really can't beat this great place. But we had the best experience with the most fantastic team. Greeted by a lovely Spanish lady who was so naturally smiley and happy, she showed us to our sofa table and was so warm. She then handed us over to Eddie. What a star he is. We love Eddie. Great wine choices too, and he really made our evening. We met another member of the team who was great, he recommended the chocolate fondant to us with such praise that we had to try it. And I am still thinking of it now. It was delicious. The food was incredible, but the atmosphere and the way we were looked after was second to none. We will be back to see your team again as they made our night. Thanks so much Eddie and team....you all deserve great things!

I always pop in when in Soho - it's a sanctuary from the hurley burley of the busy streets outside - and the serve one of the best very dry vodka martinis in London

Refuel is a beautifully restaurant, kind of like the Ivy in style, but more comfortable, nowhere near as noisy and less formal. We visited on new year's eve eve, quite by chance, having stumbled across it whilst looking for somewhere to eat in a busy Soho. The doorman helped us up the steps with our buggy, and once in, the team literally could not do enough to look after both us and our baby. Our waiter was fabulous, had our baby smiling so much and made us feel so welcome. Another member of the team fetched a high chair for us and the service was just amazing. This was stand out - above and beyond type stuff. Couples and groups, large and small, families enjoying a festive catch up, - many seemed like regulars that have known about this hidden gem for some time. Food was also spot on. Great flavours and fresh tasting, quality produce. Both my wife and I enjoyed different fish dishes, and both were excellent. We shall definitely be returning to this wonderful place. I'll sign off by thanking the team on that night- you were great! You are the people ensuring that customers come back. Thanks for such a memorable service.

I celebrated my birthday with a few friends at this restaurant. The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was amazing, cocktails were brilliant. I loved my experience there and would love to visit again!

A sensational afternoon tea experience. The teas were unusual and delicious. The food, both savory and sweet, was freshly made, and of superior quality. Topping it all off, an elegant yet understated atmosphere with friendly, attentive service. A special thanks to the sweet blonde waitress who helped us with our language skills with uncommon patience and attention.

Refuel is a true hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Soho. I’ve been visiting this restaurant for over 15 years, and it has never failed to impress. The staff are consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive, making every dining experience a pleasure. Their set menu is excellent value and highly recommendable for those who enjoy a well-curated selection of dishes. Whether you're looking for a quick lunch or a relaxed evening meal, Refuel delivers on both quality and atmosphere. Without a doubt, it’s one of my favourite spots in London, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly!

T
Travelling Doc

Located within the Soho Hotel, Refuel boasts a vibrant interior designed by Kit Kemp, blending bold colours with a distinctive mix of Eastern and Western influences. When we visited, the bar area was buzzing and packed, while the main dining tables remained about 95% empty—and stayed that way throughout the evening. Ox tail croquettes: A highlight—three per portion, filled with well-seasoned, tender pulled meat. Bread basket: Excellent sourdough served with rich, creamy butter. Crab lasagne: More akin to a crab dumpling in texture, but it came with a beautiful, flavourful bisque. Beetroot salad: Light and refreshing with a nice crunch from the nuts. Côte de boeuf: A generous 780g serving, cooked medium-well. The centre pieces were nicely pink, but the edges were noticeably overdone. Served with decent fries, a forgettable side salad, and two sauces: a peppercorn sauce overloaded with peppercorns, and a gloopy béarnaise. Cocktails We had two rounds of cocktails. The Negronis were underfilled and overly iced, which diluted the drink too quickly. The Pachanga (£16)—a mix of Ojo de Dios Hibiscus Mezcal, Savoia liqueur, prickly pear cordial, orange, lemon, and a substantial coconut foam—was quite enjoyable, though a touch sweet. Service Friendly and attentive throughout, which added to the overall experience.

Lovely lunchtime movie downstairs followed by a set lunch doubleheader. Had a croque-Monsieur before the film started, which was warm, puffy, delicious. The mushroom soup starter was a wonder, the chicken and vegetable garnish main and tarte Tatin desert were well executed. The portions are generous so probably not worth having a snack before the meal. Made for a fun, relaxed and leisurely Sunday. Recommended 👍🏽

Great experience! My friend & I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious 'Devil wears prada' afternoon tea before going to see the show. Highly recommend

Smart hotel bar. Great service - water served on arrival and regularly topped up. Happy to pay £15.50 for a glass of champagne but not so keen on the 12.5% service charge added to the bill.

Went here for Valentine’s Day with my fiancée. The food and service was amazing. They really look after us and made sure that we’d have the best experience. Compliments to the chef and all kitchen staff. The only thing I don’t like about the place is when the car headlight goes through the restaurant. It was a bit disturbing whenever there a car going to the hotel. But overall it’s good ;)

P

Great venue. Unique and interesting deco. We only pop in as were looking for somewhere for a drink. It was nice to get away from the buzzing Oxford Street into this lovely calm bar/restaurant. It was nearly dinner time but the lovely receptionist managed to squeeze us in and nicely explained we could have the table only for an hour which was absolutely fine with us. We shared a bottle of champagne which was reasonably priced for the location I would say. Service was fantastic too. I would definitely return if in the area.

Nice venue, good service and good value. The fish course was perfectly cooked but the dab really had a lot of bones and wasn’t that filling after all...

Very classic menu, and well performed overall. The place is inside a hotel, very well designed

K

Amazing range of cocktails. The starters were very delicious but the mains were disappointing - probably because we had high expectations after having the starters. Would recommend only for cocktails, starters and the atmosphere

L

Service was nice. Manager came over several times to warmly ask how I was doing. Where this place falls short is with their sandwiches for the tea. The bread is dry and the fillings are lazy and odd. The egg sandwich had no yolk. So odd that the sandwich was only made with egg whites. The sandwich spreads they used helped but overall the flavor for the sandwiches was simply flat. Scones were tasty. Sweets I wasn’t a fan but I feel that’s more a personal choice than me saying they are bad.

T
Thiers

The food is tasteless and very expensive for what they serve. Their main dishes is from 30 pounds. They have a beautiful atmosphere and quite quiet, so it’s perfect if you need something quieter in Soho. The service is very friendly and polite. The drinks are normal and wine list ok. The next day I had other dinner and it was cheaper with a better experience and made me regret about my choice of Soho Hotel. I would recommend for drinks but never ever for food. Photos of starters only, the pasta later was not good at all, i added salt 5 times.

C
Colin Gledhill

Nice enough, table we had for 5 was really only a table for 4 so we were a little squished. Food was ok, main course chicken schnitzel was completely bland and lacked any seasoning. Booking through open table we should have receive a Bellini with our meal which never arrived

N
Nadya Lean

Great atmosphere and friendly staff overall. However, one interaction did take away from the experience. The manager (I assume), the older lady (not to offend as there was two ladies in black dresses), wearing her hair in a high ponytail, had a noticeable attitude while serving. Her facial expression felt dismissive, and the way the drinks were placed on the table came across as unnecessarily aggressive, which made the experience uncomfortable. Whole time her face had an attitude. I am not sure towards us only as surprisingly 0 bad reviews on this. It was disappointing, especially as the rest of the staff were welcoming and did a great job, showing the level of service this place is capable of.
