I’ve been here multiple times and it never disappoints. The food is consistently high quality, and it’s great value for the money. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Highly recommend.

One of the best Sunday Roasts I’ve ever had in London! The gravy was amazing totally impressed🤩🤩 The dessert is a must-try!! I can’t remember the name, but it was some kind of white chocolate treat and it was so good!! If you’re planning to come, I’d definitely recommend booking ahead

Reece was our host this evening, and the only thing that topped the food tonight was his hospitality and kindness. 10/10 for the food - 100/10 for Reece! Thank you for the second serving of cheesecake Reeve- my husband and I didn’t think we needed but we left no crumbs and with happy bellies!

Blacklock is such a great spot, but make sure to book well in advance - I reserved my table 3 months before my trip to London! We arrived early and had a short wait since it gets very busy. They take your coat at the entrance, which is a nice touch. We tried the Sunday roast for the first time - my fiancé had that, and I ordered the ribs starter and we shared. The portions are absolutely massive and very satisfying. Our waiter was lovely, even taking pictures of us, which made the experience feel extra special. Dessert was delicious too, and the serving size depends on when you say “stop,” which is a fun touch. Highly recommend visiting for a hearty and memorable meal!

Superb Roast Me and my family visited on a Sunday afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Service was excellent and efficient from happy staff. We all had Roasts and could barely fault a thing. Beautifully crisp potatoes and nicely cooked meat. Really tasty gravy and yorkshire puddings. The parsnips were al dente rather than crisp like I'd have wanted though. There was also a huge amount of cabbage, so maybe some other veg would've been good. I also had the Smoked Beef Ribs starter which was also fantastic. Super tender meat with delicious flavours. It's quite pricey but it's high quality ingredients and generous portions. Definitely worth it for a treat.

Amazing food and amazing service, had a really lovely experience here. We shared the all-in platter, and everything was gorgeous. The pork chop was my favourite. Would highly recommend going!

Today we had our very first Sunday roast and it was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious; the meat was incredible, the potatoes perfectly soft and full of flavour. We enjoyed every single bite. And the cheesecake… OMG. Definitely worth trying! The staff were wonderful too and made our visit even more lovely.

Very impressed!! Food is a solid 8/10, very fair price point for its location. The interiors is interesting with a sense of humor. Acoustics is a little poor due to exposed ceiling and perhaps some reverberation but other than that, it’s all praises! Staff is on point, always noticing empty drinks and superb with suggestions. Very knowledgable. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Will return soon I’m sure 👍

This steakhouse truly stands out from the crowd. You can tell immediately that the beef is exceptionally fresh. Every bite tastes clean and high quality, not overly seasoned, just confident in the ingredients themselves. There’s even a chalkboard by the counter reminding guests that certain cuts are available in limited quantities each day, which makes the whole experience feel thoughtful and intentional rather than mass-produced. And then there’s the cheesecake. Handmade, creamy, and indulgent without being heavy—and the best part? You could ask as big as you can from the whole box!

Wonderful team. From hosts, to waiting team, to bartenders. Everyone was extremely kind, polite and professional while also apprearing to be simply enjoying their time working here. Makes it into a very nice environment (and a rare one to experience). The food was lovely, the starters are on the smal sidel so bear that in mind, but not disappointed, and even better this way. Cocktails are really well priced, so I had a chance to try few. All delicious and well balanced. Steaks are prepared perfectly. Thank you chef! Had a wonderful Saturday night meal in a great atmosphere. Will definitely be back again.

What a fab place!!!We tried to book online but not luck so walked in and the lady was so helpful and got us a table and said we could have it for an hour which was perfect for us!!!Such a nice place with a great atmosphere and friendly staff!The food was unreal!We had the all in roast and oh my word it did not disappoint!!Great value and a huge plate of mouthwatering food.We loved every bite.Our server was really friendly too, (we didn't get his name) we were then given the dessert menu and we chose the white chocolate cheesecake and they actually bring it to the table for you to choose your portion size!!!It was just as amazing as the roast. We cannot wait to go back.

Had an awesome experience at Blacklock Canary Wharf! The atmosphere was great - a little crowded and noisy, but makes a perfect place for a relaxed dinner. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and our server was friendly and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the menu, including the unique black pillar system where you can see the steak options and sizes, as well as how many portions are left. The food was well worth the wait - our order took 30 minutes, but it arrived hot and was clearly worth it. One minor quirk was the noticeable rumbling of the Elizabeth line train every 5-10 minutes, which sounded like it was running right underneath the restaurant. While it was a bit annoying at first, it didn't detract from the overall experience. If you're a steak lover, I'd definitely recommend Blacklock Canary Wharf - the quality of the food and service makes it well worth overlooking the occasional train rumble!

I believe our waiter was called Chandler, he was absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable and has such a passion for the great food we were served! Massive portion, great service, great price and a lovely atmosphere. The woman welcoming us at the door was great too. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Will definitely be returning at some point.

Really great find, it’s not very obvious or in a super busy footfall in Canary Wharf, so can have a quiet lunch here, the venue is quaint and the service is really good. Food was yummy and I feel it’s quite a fair bit more reasonable than Hawksmoore. Highly recommend.

Outstanding experience here. The server we had was super polite and friendly, and even went out of their way to make the birthday occasion even more special. As for the food, every single thing we ordered was cooked brilliantly and was full of flavour. The burger actually beats a lot of London's dedicated burger places in my opinion - nice and meaty, not messy to eat, nice accompaniments. The steak was cooked and seasoned well - I've never been let down by Blacklock on their steaks to be honest. The biggest surprise was how good the sweet potato side dish is - did not expect to find that tasty, but it was full of smokey flavour and seasoned well. Highly recommend this place if you're considering it.

We came here for an anniversary dinner and it was amazing! Our waiter Marcel was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were delicious! We were also given a complimentary cheesecake for dessert which was a great touch. Will definitely be coming back!

What can I say? Unbelievable food and service!! We came here for our anniversary meal and the food/service did not fail. Upon arrival, we were greeted with complimentary drinks (and a thoughtful non alcoholic beverage for my wife who doesn’t drink). Special thanks to Stephanie our hostess who looked after us & was fantastic with her recommendations, friendliness and hospitality. I would 10000000000000% recommend coming here for the best steak and service!!!

I came here for my 30th birthday and was overwhelmed with hospitality. Lewis looked after me throughout the night, entertaining me with wine facts. I'm now hunting for french Argentinian malbec/merlot blends because the one I tasted was delicious (Lewis if you see this pls reply which one I tried). I had the mixed platter which Lewis recommended and it was the most devine mix I'd ever had. I felt blessed to be alive to taste it. I have fond memories of ending up in blacklock a few years ago after some work drinks, I wasn't sure where we ended up and spent months figuring it out, thankfully I found it in the end and it was BETTER than I remembered, I'll be back soon. Oh the starters, the starters!

Had an amazing visit at Blacklock! The atmosphere and food were fantastic, but what really made the experience special was Silvio, the Italian bartender. He looked after us so well from start to finish, made incredible cocktails, and his knowledge was absolutely superb. You can really tell he’s passionate about what he does, and it added so much to our night. Outstanding service – we’ll definitely be back!

What a meal! I highly recommend the pig’s head on toast(even though the name may seem off putting to some). It comes as pulled meat with gravy - it’s ridiculously tasty and juicy. The “all in” for 2 was also delicious and very filling - no need to worry about which cut of meat to choose; you get try them all. Big thank you to Silvio and Leonardo who served us - super friendly, a great vibe, and service was great.

Best steak restaurant that have ever been since a long time. The meat was absolutely delicious, bone marrow with garlic us a must. The fries cooked in beef fat were absolutely a delight. The broccoli 🥦 salad with walnut were amazing and the white chocolate cheesecake with berries sauce were the cherry 🍒 on the cake to end an extraordinary meal. The beers were amazing. Gosh i am in love with this place. A wonderful place to get excellent meat and superb atmosphere. A special dedication to Rayna for her lovely advices on the food. High five to her. Will come back next Sunday when I'll be back in London.

Didn't know what to expect, but the staff were very accommodating at the last minute. Chose our food which was delivered by friendly staff. Food was great and the bread & butter puding with custard AND ice cream is a winner.

First time Blacklock Canary Wharf we booked here as we was staying in Canary wharf area for our 40th Wedding Anniversary And what great choice Service 5/5 staff fantastic Food 5/5 plenty cooked well and tasted great, Blacklock gravy lovely, & apple crumble & custard Mmm ( only thing we didn't enjoy was meat was piled on flat bread type to soak meat juices we didn't like the bread, what have been better mash potatoes) would recommend and go again if in that area Good value

We had such a lovely evening at Blacklock, The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly especially one lady waitress (sadly I didn’t catch her name) who handled everything with such professionalism and warmth. She made sure any small issues were dealt with quickly and left us with big smiles on our faces. We really felt well looked after from start to finish. We did have a small issue with the steak not being cooked evenly which led to it being well done, as it was quite an uneven cut, but it was immediately rectified with no fuss at all. We were given a completely new steak and even told we could keep the original one! The replacement was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The chips were fantastic, crispy and well-seasoned, and the white chocolate cheesecake was to die for, rich, creamy, and a really generous portion. The atmosphere was lovely perfect for an evening date night and the staff were also very knowledgeable about the wines, Prices were very reasonable for the quality of both the food and the service. Overall, we had such a positive experience and would highly recommend to anyone looking for great steak, excellent service, and a relaxed, classy setting.

Me & my friend attended last Sunday, it was fully booked. However we got a seat at the bar within half an hour. Leonardo- the bartender made us feel very welcome and kept our drinks going as well as recommending flavourful dishes off the menu. We both loved how friendly and attentive he was. The food was delicious, everything was cooked to perfection- big shout out to the chef! All the staff are really friendly, everyone walks around with a smile on their face. I believe a great team comes from great management so shout out to the manager too! I’ll be back soon :)

This place is incredible. Starting from the customer service via telephone, and kindly accommodating us being late. Our waiter was lovely and very knowledgeable. The food was absolutely incredible, so well-cooked, and the sides were equally fantastic. The drinks were also so tasty! We will definitely be returning... soon!

Went here with a work group and had a fantastic feast. The steak was excellent — not the oversized kind, which made it perfect for sharing and trying different cuts across the table. Appetisers were solid too, well-prepared and a great way to kick things off. We had a round of drinks at the bar while waiting for our table, which set a nice tone before dinner. Service during the meal was friendly and efficient, but once the dinner rush picked up we did feel a bit hurried to vacate the table — understandable for such a busy spot, but worth knowing if you’re looking for a more leisurely evening. Overall, Blacklock Canary Wharf delivers on quality food, lively atmosphere, and good group dining — just be prepared for a bustling pace.

Ordered their big cuts. Great tasting but beef quality was a little lacking this time(my second time here). The salting was uneven on the bone marrow. Avoid the small chops. Not really great and were overcooked (lamb and pork): dry and chewy Service was generally polite and attentive and quick. This place is always busy, so expect noise but it is acceptable and not too bad.

The food and drinks were delicious. My friends and I had dinner since it was my birthday and we needed to catch up. The service was lovely as well but there was a lady that served us that made faces and looked fed up as she served us. Everyone else was lovely.

Absolutely delicious Sunday roast—the meats were full of flavor, and the gravy was simply outstanding. The only reason it’s not five stars is the portion size: despite looking large, about 80% of the plate was vegetables, leaving the actual amount of meat underwhelming. For two people, the portion for three is ideal. For dessert, we had the white chocolate cheesecake, and it was pure heaven. Unlike the roast, a single portion of dessert was more than enough for two people.

Hearty sunday roast with variety of all the meats (beef, lamb and pork + crackling), a massive yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings in the 'All in Roast'. Looks great, piled up on a shared plate but portion wise it is doable and not as overwhelming per person once shared out on individual plates. Place does get busy so would recommend booking in advance - we were lucky this time with walk-ins (around 5pm) but availablilty was sat at the bar which was not an issue.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) Dinner at Blacklock Canary Wharf – Tuesday Evening I went for dinner at Blacklock Canary Wharf with a friend on Tuesday evening, and we had a lovely time. I ordered a well-done steak (that’s how we eat it where I come from), with gravy, sweet potatoes, kale with parmesan, and ice cream for dessert, along with a glass of red wine. The food was excellent. The steak was a bit chewy, as you’d expect from well-done, but still full of flavour. Everything else, especially the sides and dessert, was absolutely delicious. The staff were amazing throughout; very friendly and attentive, though I didn’t catch the name of the person who served us. The only slightly disappointing moment was when we were asked to give up our table after two hours, not rudely, but simply because of their policy. To be honest, it’s a sign of how much we were enjoying ourselves that we didn’t want to leave! We would have happily stayed for another round of drinks. Overall, a great evening with excellent food, warm service, and a vibrant atmosphere. I’d definitely go back — maybe I’ll just book a longer slot next time!

The usual suspects cocktail had a good kick! Nice roast, just felt the potato’s were a little bland and beef a bit chewy at times. Overall an enjoyable Sunday roast! Staff very attentive, always topping up our water.

We went for dinner last night and food was really good! We were pleasantly surprised by the entrees (special shout for the mushroom on toast and pig’s head on toast). The pre-chops were really good as well! We brought our dog with us and the staff was super friendly. The pub only has 3 dog friendly tables though, so be mindful of this and book in advance if you’re planning to do the same. Otherwise, plenty of seating space in the venue! We ordered Denver beef cuts with bearnaise and green sauce respectively and sauces were very tasty. The cooking term was slightly off as we ordered medium and they were more like medium rare, so we will probably order medium well next time. However, overall really good experience, fair prices and great atmosphere. We certainly recommend and will come back another time.

Blacklock in Canary Wharf was a lovely experience. The atmosphere felt like a warm cup of coffee—relaxing, inviting, and quietly elegant. The waiter was genuinely charming, and the food was excellent, especially the 1kg T-bone steak. My only wish is that the portions were a little larger. Still, the pricing felt fair, particularly in today’s economy, and you definitely get quality for what you pay. Overall: 4/5. Would happily return.

Came here for a Sunday lunch. It was really nice and reasonably priced. The beef was great. A little bit packed in and not a lot of space. The service was fine - nothing to write home about and reasonable enough. A bit too loud as well. Overall it’s a nice place especially after a theatre show.

Nice place for a steak dinner! More casual than expected but I didn’t mind it. The wine was great as well - a tip if you want to choose a wine you can taste beforehand in separate glasses, really great idea. Enjoyed it!

Decent but Pricey Came here for a friends birthday dinner. Went for the all in option. The “pre-chop bites” are essentially cold toppings on top of crackers. Not our preference, we treated eating them as somewhat of a challenge The cuts and sides arrived quickly. Chips were great, chunky and crispy. The sweet potato was okay, a little firm if I’m honest. Gravy was fantastic. Pork and Lamb were okay, slightly underwhelming. The beef was great, awesome crisp and flavour The birthday dessert isn’t complementary like some other places, so maybe keep in mind. May pop back in if in the area

I've been going to BL for years, back when it started in Shoreditch. It's one of my favourite places for a Sunday roast. When I tried the CW branch, which actually was quite a while ago, it was ok. Whenever I walk by, I love the smell. On the weekend, I spotted the Xmas tree in front and it just looked so charming. I'd probably like to see more offers for this one, as I prefer the other branches and haven't been back since.

I visited on a weekend evening and found the atmosphere much noisier than I expected. Several nearby tables were talking very loudly and some guests were clearly quite drunk, which made it hard to relax. We ordered the All-in: the starters were a bit too salty for my taste, but the main dishes—the lamb and beef chops—were very good. The pork chops were relatively average compared with the other options. The dessert at the end was a pleasant surprise and better than I expected. Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay longer as the space was just too crowded and loud.

Overrated. Everything was so salty……ribeye was very VERY average. I didn’t feel the quality of the meat. Of course you can’t compare it with Berners Tavern steak , but with blacklock price point you better off going to flat iron. It’s even better in flat iron. Broccoli salad was drowned in dressing, I feel like I was eating the broccoli with the dressing ……… I can’t say I’m full after eating eveything either. Disappointed with the food. Service was fine , the reception lady was great and warm however I couldn’t say the same about anyone else. The venue was full of loud customers screaming at each other exchanging conversations. Weird.
