Dinner @bloomsburystreetkitchen felt like a little escape in the middle of London 🍴✨ A bold mix of Mediterranean and Japanese flavours, beautifully presented plates, and a warm, buzzing atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than planned. What makes it even more enjoyable is the tapas-style menu 🍤🥗. Sharing different plates from their varied tapas selections is genuinely fun, and there are options to suit different budgets 💷, whether you’re going light or creating a fuller spread for the table 🥘 From the flavours to the service, everything felt considered without trying too hard 🙌 Definitely one to bookmark for a stylish dinner in the city.
Delicious food. Everything we tried including lamb cutlets and steak was delicious. For dessert we tried the chocolate bento box which was ok but blond cheesecake was amazing. Service was ok but when we asked to plates so we could share the dessert the waiter didn’t understand or hear us and we had to ask again from someone else
Fabulous meal. Still dreaming about the steak tartar bites. Every single thing I ate was outstanding. Would definitely go back for the food! Someone at my table got the octopus and another got the crab bucatini and both dishes looked fantastic!
Aesthetic interior, friendly staff, and very flavorful, beautifully presented food. I’d definitely come back! Our favorites were the yellowtail tacos, Philo prawns, and truffle pasta 🤤 I didn’t care for the risotto but that could be a personal thing
A perfect restaurant with a perfect server. 10/10 food and 10/10 service with Christian who is so knowledgeable, kind and responsive. The food is phenomenally flavorful and you leave feeling satisfied without feeling stuffed. So much so that I went 3 times during my stay. I will be back to London for Bloomsbury Street Kitchen.
Expensive but delicious food. All dishes were so good; we shared ( between 2) oven roasted cod, roasted baby chicken with lemon & miso butter, kohlrabi salad with crispy leeks, aubergine with goma glaze ( so tender!)lentil tacos, patatas bravas, all beautifully presented and so tasty. Would return for a treat again.
Absolutely loved this place. The Asian med fusion goes so well together. Entry fish was exquisite, from the filo prawns to the salmon and the cheesecake. Service was lovely and you felt comfortable in the atmosphere whether dressed up or down. My mocktail was delicious!
New restaurant - Mediterranean meets Japanese! Very fresh and flavorful food. Service is amazing - we got seated even though we didn’t have a reservation. The staff were helpful in recommending dishes based on our preferences. And today is the grand opening! Everything was tastefully prepared and presented. And every dish tasted better than its amazing presentation. They have a decent wine, sake and whisky collection.
Just come and eat! My wife is gluten free and they were able to give her a quality and top flavor meal. Their three course choice is over the top! The crispy eggplant and zucchini chips were a hit. The salmon is the most unique and delicious I've ever had. All the desserts were quality and excellent.
Totally loved the food. Orange crème brûlée is amazing. Yellowish tartare taco definitely recommended. Crab pasta is also so good. I love steak tartare but is was a bit salty. In general expect desserts all the food were salty but I loved them. Service is quite nice. And weekend night there is a dj. Maybe Friday and Saturday not sure but you can ask.
The atmosphere was amazing and Christian has been a wonderful host. The recommendations he gave us were the perfect choice and he was very helpful so we were able to be at the theater right in time. The dishes were delicious and the cocktail a highlight. We hope to be back on our next trip to London.
We have been here 3 times in a year and a half. The restaurant is beautiful, the vibe is incredible, the music is so awesome, the food is 10/10, the service is phenomenal, and the value for money is spot on. Highly recommend. See you again soon!
The waiter serving us, Hristiyan G was really kind and helpful ;) food was pretty alright, portions suited for people with a small appetite
Food was incredible and service was beyond exceptional (forgot the name of our waiter but he should get a raise). We were a group of 8 people and we all loved it. Highly recommended. Definitely we’ll go back.
Excellent service provided by Anton, He explained to us about each food platter and also recommended drinks which was to our taste. The food was outstanding, rich, creamy, luxurious. Ambience was royal feel mixed with soft lighting. 5 out of 5. Highly recommended .
We were looking for a restaurant with good reviews about meat food at the area .we finally chose Bloomsbury restaurant since the reviews and the photos were great .at the time we entered our welcome was so professional and friendly from Dimitris .he sitted us to our table .we ordered 5 plates for 2 people .after we tasted the first dishes,we had to order some more . everything was so tasty .we really enjoyed the food . especially the beef ponzu and the salmon.great experience overall.we will definitely visit .
Wow! Wow! Wow! I thought it would be good but it exceeded even those expectations. It had been ages since a central London restaurant got me excited like this again. Quick overview: small plates, delicious food, you pay for the quality, won’t be disappointed. Between us (one meat, one vegetarian), knowing they were sharing tapas style plates, we decided to order 4 plates between us. They said it will come out when ready but still served it like starters and mains. We ordered: STARTERS Patatas Bravas (V) 10/10 Ahhhh there were bang bang!!! I wasn’t expecting much but when they turned up they looked as amazing as they tasted.Thin, long, crispy and salty with a great aioli dip. Filo Prawns 8/10 Saw the people next to me have these and had to ask which ones they were on the menu. Again, they looked as delicious as they tasted. Never had prawns in this style aside from tempura but this was like a thin crispy pastry wrapping. It tasted amazing and had a great crunch. MAINS: Roasted Aubergine 8/10 We were in two minds about ordering this or the gnocchi but really glad we tried this. Turned up looking well presented. Good texture and nice glaze. Black Pepper Vegetarian Chicken 9/10 Really tasty and loved the peppery flavour. The mock meat used was a great consistency as well - not too chewy. We did expect these two plates to be slightly larger portion sizes than they were (especially after seeing the pasta portion sizes and the prices). Overall a really great meal and a super nice ambience too! Would deffo recommend.
I had my 30th Birthday dinner at Bloomsbury Street Kitchen and had a wonderful time. Giulia, the assistant manger was super helpful prior to the evening and was great with communication and any questions I had. The evening itself was great, lovely decor, great food and cocktails.
We had a wonderful and unforgettable good-bye-London dinner few days ago. The food was absolutely phenomenal - the grilled chicken was maybe the best chicken we have ever had! Beef carpaccio, tomatoes salad, rib-eye steak and a white-chocolate cheesecake were all amazing, and together created a jaw-dropping experience for us. The wine list suggest a wide range of alternatives. We had a nice SB that matched the food and the vibe perfectly. The place is beautiful and nicely decorated. Service was overall good - but could have been much better if waiters’ availability was higher. Can’t wait to get back to London, can’t wait to get back to Bloomsbury Street Kitchen!
Japanese and Mediterranean small plates which is such a fun concept. Good for a bigger group as can get different dishes to try and share, a bit like tapas. All the staff were attentive, including small things like constantly filling up our water glasses which was much appreciated.
Really nice place Highly recommend their seafood truffle risotto. Desserts and cocktails were amazing too. Our waiters Mj and Dimitri were kind and super helpful
Great experience! Perfect! The food, the service, the vibe.. I am a picky eater and rarely give 5 stars but I really felt looked after here and the food was always a bit better than what we expected! Great surprise! Went here through opentable where I found a 3 course meal set menu and I don’t regret it! Prices are affordable for the quality you get and the attention to detail. Really recommended!
Our family has been staying at a few hotels on this trip to London. "The Bloomsbury Kitchen" at Radisson Blu Bloomsbury really stands out in view of its breakfast and service. Most importantly, our meal is delighted by a server, Christian in particular, a courteous and professional staff member, who tends to our needs thoughtfully and always wears a heartwarming smile.
We visited Bloomsbury Street Kitchen before a theatre show, and took advantage of a special offer we found on The Fork. From the moment you set foot through the door, the service was friendly and attentive. We were shown to a beautiful table and started to peruse the menu. The restaurant is simply stunning to look at, very modern and stylish, and a masterclass in design. The restaurant is a mixture of both Japanese and Mediterranean, and is a ‘small plates’ concept, so great for sharing lots of different things and flavours. We started off with a selection of small plates, which included the Buratta, Edamame Beans, Crab Harumaki Rolls and Seared Beef Tataki. All of these dishes were sublime, but the Beef Tataki really was the stand out dish - it was simply stunning. For main courses we ordered another round of dishes, and settled on the Rib Eye Steak, Salmon and Chicken Gyros. Again, the dishes were all beautifully presented and the flavours were out of this world - the highlight being the Steak and Salmon. The whole meal experience was absolutely spot on, and we all really enjoyed our evening. I cannot recommend Bloomsbury Street Kitchen enough, and we will certainly return soon!
I really enjoyed my time here, our waitress for the evening Mersede'n (maybe Mersedes?) provided a truly magnificent level of service. This is coming as someone who managed pubs for a total of about 6 years. The food was glorious, my only gripe is I wish the portions were 2-3x the size, as my appetite is that of a small bear, rather than the average human.
We enjoyed the Japanese tasting menu. The star was the Salmon Tartare. Beautifully presented in a bowl of ice, there was a small portion of the minced salmon in a bowl of sauce served with a crisp wafer. The Crispy soft shell crab was served in crispy rolls with a spicy dipping sauce. The Beef Tataki was tasty and tender and served with crispy shallots. The most spectacular dish was the baby chicken bought out on top of smoking ceramic bowl. The Sea Bass came with asparagus and was perfectly cooked.
Bloomsbury Street Kitchen was a fantastic lunch spot! The Japanese-Mediterranean small plates were fresh and flavorful. The stylish, cozy vibe near the British Museum is perfect for a midday break. Huge thanks to Miss Asmita for her warm, attentive service. She made our meal unforgettable. Highly recommend!
Best food! Seasoned perfectly! Kind of a dim sum/tapas service. We have eaten here twice! We each order 3 items & share. Just Wonderful preparation, seasoning & presentation! I can not say enough good things about this restaurant. Thank you to the Chef, the cook staff and the wait staff!
Fantastic spot! 🍝 The tagliatelle was quick, delicious, and perfect between seminar sessions ⏱️. We even went back the next day — the yoghurt cheesecake is a must-try 🍰. Highly recommend! 🙌
We had a wonderful dinner at Bloomsbury Street Kitchen. The menu included creative Mediterranean and Japanese dishes. We shared several items so we could appreciate the variety the menu had to offer. Our table tried everything from the french tacos, to the fresh pasta fettuccini, to the prawn tempura. The dishes were delicious and well presented. The restaurant had a comfortable, and upscale atmosphere. The service was outstanding, and our server, Christian, was very attentive and provided exceptional service.
Every dish was exquisite. The flavors! The flavor combinations! The chef/chefs are a true talent. Filo prawns, Tataki beef, baby chicken, yogurt, cheesecake - we were swooning with every bite. This is more than a five star restaurant. The service was also very attentive. Thank you for a memorable meal. Highly highly recommend.
If you want to surprise your taste buds with the food you think you know, this is the place. The presentation and the taste is unique to every dish. Truly the best food experience in London. You have to make a reservation, otherwise good luck getting in.
Dining alone I ordered the steak tartare, fettuccine with truffle and haricots vert with a glass of the Journey red blend. Everything was great, but the standout was the steak tartare, which was served in 3 small bites atop potatoes Anna. The freshly grated Parmesan was a bit heavy but quite delightful. The pasta was very good as well, tasted homemade and cooked perfectly, but it was a meal in itself. The green beans were also served with a bit too much parm I thought as I wanted a refreshing bite from the heavy pasta. Overall an excellent meal.
Beautiful presentation and creative combinations. The seafood was quite overcooked, so it had lost almost completely the aroma and taste of the sea. We had the scallops and octopus. If you are not good with seafood, maybe it’s a good chance to try - the taste is mild and the sauces have a stronger presence than the seafood itself, but still keeping its texture. Nice wine list and you get some recommendations to much your selection.
We had dinner before a show. The small plates were ideal. The dishes were very tasty and ideal size. The service was prompt and ensured that we finished in time. The wine list was delightful
It's a very reliable place to get a pre theater meal before a show. This is the second time we've been and it doesn't disappoint. But you have to ask them for the pre theater menu otherwise they only give you the regular one. We opted for the two and the three course respectively. I got the steak tataki and the chicken with a side order of broccoli. All three dishes were great, especially the chicken. My husband got the kohlrabi salad and the cod and the matcha tiramisu. The salad was amazing! The fish was good and the dessert was not completely matcha, just the top but was still quite good!
If you’re in the mood for small plates—emphasis on small—this spot delivers flavorful, elevated bites just a stone’s throw from the British Museum. We tried the yellowtail French tacos and the lentil ones—both packed with taste. The chorizo was a standout, and the sides rounded things out nicely. Portions are definitely on the modest side, so keep that in mind if you’re hungry. But for a quick, stylish lunch with bold flavors and a modern vibe, it’s a great choice. Highly recommended for a quality meal in a convenient location.
Nice hotel restaurant in Bloomsbury. Modern decor with lots of green plants. Interesting menu of small plates and sharing dishes - mix of Mediterranean and Japanese food. Good cocktail menu. Service can be better - we were sat at a far corner of the restaurant and had to put in effort to get the staff’s attention at times (despite not too busy on a Saturday night). Otherwise delicious food. Love the beef tatami with truffle, Bincho chicken was superb. We would come back again.
Small plates that are well presented and tasty. Not generous portions but a good selection of sides to accompany mains. Had the 2 course pre-theatre menu and bottle of wine. Service was good, attentive and the restaurant not too loud… good for catch up chats.
The food is top quality and you can tell that the restaurant uses very good quality ingredients. However, the prices are high and due to the tapas ethos you need to order more than one dish. This in itself is not a problem, but given the prices I would expect the food to arrive at the same time, not ‘as it is ready’. The service was attentive but there is no excuse for food coming out at different times when you are paying fine dining prices.
A must go to restaurant in London. We all had the set menu and the dishes were delicious. Looking forward to the next meal in this restaurant. If you like beef, you must order Beef Tataki ! The yoghurt and white chocolate cheesecake, is to die for!
Delicious and filling food albeit a bit pricy - highly recommend the cod, the halloumi gyros, the tomatoes and the king prawn (burrata is avoidable). Nice decor although they randomly turned off the lights in our section halfway through and never turned them back on, which was a little strange. All in all, a good meal though!
Very trendy place with a nice atmosphere. Concept is sharing dishes, but a lot of the dishes are not very easy to share, just something to remember if you are going with a group of friends. They brought our aperitifs after we received the first plates, but probably small communication error. Although a little overpriced, the food is very nice. Be aware that the limoncello is only 25ml, which is quite a lot for £8. Overall had a nice evening with good food!
We were a little disappointed by the service, the staff seemed a little clueless on some details of the menu and you had to wave to get their attention quite a few times . The food was okay, the highlight was the octopus. There was a dj which was a nice atmosphere addition.
Interesting and good variety of food on the menu though portions were small. Tables were well spaced with good ambience. Staff were well-mannered though service was not attentive and slow particularly at payment. Desserts were average and the award winning hot chocolate is not great don't get this. Tacos and gnocchi were the better items on the menu.
The food was delicious and the small plates were interesting and nicely presented. However, we did not feel very welcome here. My husband and I sat for almost 10 minutes before being given menus and a hurried explanation of the small plate format. It then took quite a while for my single glass of wine to arrive. When we finished the first dish, a salad, and the rest of our food came I had to ask for our dressing-covered plates to be refreshed. Overall not a great experience, especially considering this is a somewhat expensive restaurant. The overall vibe was that we were being done a favor being allowed to eat there.
I was not impressed. It’s not a big menu, compressed by a 50/50 split of food type - Mediterranean/Japanese. Starter portions small and with mains only one side vegetable available- broccoli, nothing else. Not going back.
Celebrated a recent engagement with a table of 7 on Friday 3rd March. The food here is great - I can’t fault that. However, the service was shocking. I’m not sure if they were understaffed or what the problem was, but the whole service team looked like they hated being there. I appreciate they were busy (that was an excuse given) - but being a central London restaurant on a Friday night, you expect it and prepare and manage it in the best way you can. Be transparent that you’re understaffed, make it light-hearted, stop frowning whenever we ask for a menu or some more drinks like we’ve said something ridiculous, be slightly apologetic when things take longer or go wrong or you make a mistake… unfortunately, there was just no care or consideration taken at all. The serving staff took out frustrations on the customers. I was looking around and it was chaos! No staff assigned to specific tables with everyone trying so hard to get attention from the service staff - one waiter even said “I don’t know what you ordered. I don’t know what my other colleagues did”. As I said the food is great here - but don’t come when it’s busy. 40 minutes late sitting us down for our booking, no drinks orders taken at the bar or at the table when we were sat down, 3 attempts to get all our drinks served, 5+ attempts to get food menus and dessert menus and just a lot of unnecessary hostility. When you go out for a meal, you just don’t expect to have to spend so much effort with every single interaction. Unfortunately the Bloomsbury Street Kitchen failed this time. (Sorry some of the photos of the food are dark - the light above our table broke halfway through the dinner)
the atmosphere and service were nice at first, as well as the food. however, when we asked for tap water the waiter would just fill our glasses and not leave any on the table, so we had to ask multiple times for that. when we went to take our coats, the hostess lady gave them to us, but my dad has also left his hat with her earlier, and when she gave it away it was all crumpled and creased, she just shoved it into some hole in the closet and it was very upsetting to see this kind of service in the nice restaurant like this. it might look like a trifle, but it really ruined the pleasant impression that was before ;(
I got a great meal but very poor service, the restaurant is empty but refused to give a bigger table to us. Our small table can’t contain all stuffs we ordered. But finally we saw another couple got the table we originally asked. Very bad service experience.
