We booked our table as it was Valentine's Day we got to the restaurant early as we do lol 🤣 they seated us immediately without any issues. The service was fantastic staff were amazing especially Matteus Nikola he was very attentive and listened to the adventures we had that day he was so lovely and refreshing that he took the time to chat. Food was absolutely stunning. Would definitely come back here highly recommend as it's near to the theater district.
Italian × Peruvian fusion in the heart of Covent Garden 😌 . What we shared 🤍 🌮 Spicy chicken tacos with rocoto yoghurt - beware these are cold 🥩 Beef carpaccio with truffle & Parmesan - the highlight 🍤 Robata king prawns - really nice flavours 🥗 Orange & avocado salad - quite basic 🦪 Pan-seared scallops - nice 🐟 Seabass ceviche - too sour ☕ Café Almendra - something like mini Tiramisu 🍐 Pera Sensación - wow presentation . 📍 Monmouth Kitchen 🚇 Closest station: Covent Garden 💷 Small plates from ~£9–£19 .
Just had a fantastic New Year's Eve 4 course meal here. Every single course was fantastic. My partner and Father thought the same. The ceviche was delicuous, as was the carpaccio. The prawns were knockout, and the calamari was also a delight. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and the seabass was also spot on. Both desserts were also magnificent. Ibrahim, Mathues and Lisa provided 10/10 service. The manager (whose name we didn't get) was also very accommodating getting us a table for drinks in the bar, given it is New Years Eve and very busy, we definitely appreciate that. 100% recommend and would definitely come back.
Did not even expect to go there but so glad I did! The staff? Super friendly and helpful. The food? So good and very reasonably priced! Expected to pay way more than we did! Great spot for a nice catch up or a date.
Outstanding Peruvian food. Not exaggerating. Some of the best food I’ve ever had. Portions are small and not cheap, but I still think it’s great value. Staff were attentive and friendly throughout.
Found this gem of a restaurant at the base of a hotel during my vacation in London. There are two menu sections. A small plate section and a larger main section. I recommend ordering 3 items from the small menu to share if you are dining with someone, followed a couple of mains. Food is delicious and well prepared and the staff are very attentive. Place is so good I went twice.
Thanks Matheus! It was an amazing diner and thanks for being so nice with my son! Great and delicious food 🥘
Monmouth Kitchen is one of my favourite restaurants. I love their food. The arancini are to die for, if you are a fan of ribs, they have two types that are so tasty and satisfying. The pollo a la brasa is another signature dish that I love, this Italian Peruvian restaurant is one of the best, what’s for dessert you ask? My favourite one is Pera sensacion. Pear?? Yes pear purée, pistachio sponge, ice cream, edible gold, yummy!! The staff is great, atmosphere buzzing, the only thing I can criticise is the cocktails, they sound great but not all of them lived up to my expectations, so I usually go for wine instead.
Ate here yesterday for lunch. Very friendly greeters and staff throughout the lunch and incredible food too. The calamari was very tasty 9/10 we ordered it twice we like it that much, the prawns were good too 7/10. The chicken skewers were very tasty but only chicken, nothing else, something on the side of it would be nice, 7/10 in spite of this. The pecorino and truffle tortellini was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had, rich, velvety, truffle 10/10. Overall I would return without a doubt, 9/10 overall, reasonably priced considering the service, location, portion sizes and we left very satisfied with the value.
Classy moody place. Only visited the bar for evening cocktail and small plate but had lovely experience. Cocktails were creative, tasty and very honest. Had a small plate of Pedron peppers too, which was lovely as well. Must complement the service - thoughtful, attentive and very kind without being too much. Atmosphere is very trendy and moody with generic upbeat music. I really enjoyed it, it was energizing and yet peaceful.
A nice Family meal after day, seeing some of London sites. We had booked in advance and was seated on arrival. Service was prompt and pleasant. The food was excellent, although portions may be on the small side.
Lovely restaurant, which we came across when going to the theatre. They accommodated us even though we hadn't booked and were brilliant with finding delicious things to eat despite allergies and us being in a rush! The staff were knowledgeable and great with the kids. The food was delicious, and I recommend the sea bass and the salmon dish. Outstanding.
We stopped for a drink at the Al fresco tables on a warm, busy Easter weekend day. The service was lovely and the menu looked great, so we came back later for dinner. I'm so glad we did. We were a table of two adults and two children (12 & 10 years). We were all treated fantastically, with a special thank you Veliston who went above and beyond to help us with the menu, how many plates to order and checking the spice levels were suitable for us all. He was also brilliant with the children, a real asset to the restaurant! Wendy was also lovely. The food was all delicious, and tempted the children to try things out of their comfort zone. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, with a lovely buzzy atmosphere whilst not feeling over crowded. We would definitely return, and recommend to family and friends.
Arrived early and the place was still relatively quiet. As the evening progressed the vibe started to be irresistible. The music is top notch and the atmosphere vibrant. But the food? Well.... absolutely delicious and while prices could appear high the quality and the taste are outstanding. The lobster tagliatelle at 15 pounds are a total steal. Chunky bits of lobster flesh and a delicious lobster bisque for the sauce. Really out of this world. The lamb mini burgers are superb and well worth ordering as a shared dish. Avoid the pizza... not worth the money and the place has much better to offer. The service was spotless and very attentive. They know the menu very well and are of good advice. I cant wait to be back there but need to book early ! The place is very popular....and for some very good and tasty reasons.
Walked in the place without any reservation...and was accepted since it was still early (5pm). First time for us. The treatment from receptionist to service crews were amazing... Peruvian food...spare ribs and tacos are a must. Though the quantity of food is much lesser, it's a place for many to chill out especially if you are not in a mood to eat more. Will definitely visit the place again if I visit London next year.
Had this restaurant saved in my ‘London List’ for places to eat. I had extra time on my hands whilst visiting and luckily the restaurant were able to seat us when we were walk-ins. Service was phenomenal, waiters were attentive and chatty. Decently priced food and drinks considering being in London and the menu has a variety of different starters, small plates and mains to choose from! Walked away very satisfied.
In London for a few days with my wife and we stopped in randomly. Food was terrific. Service was great. We shared 4 dishes: calamari, scallops, chicken verde and short rib. All were very flavorful.
Monmouth was an oasis amidst the hustle and touristy bustle of the C Garden. Gorgeous decor and well trained team. The menu was mouthwatering – Peruvian Italian fusion – chicken tacos , arancini, salmon all delicious, the list goes on... don't miss it...
We came here for pre-theatre dining experience and it exceeded expectations! The staff's impeccable service, the lovely ambiance, and the delicious food left us thoroughly impressed. I would highly recommend this place and I’ll be definitely be coming back again.
Amazing food! Fantastic service! Had a bite to eat and honestly it was fantastic. The chicken tacos were especially phenomenal and service was exceptional. Great location to stop and have some food and drinks. Cannot recommend enough.
Loved this place very nice music and vibes. A Peruvian and Italian menue with a wide variety of dishes to share. My favorites were the tortillas, the ceviche, the pasta, the pork ribs, and the chicken. Deserts were exquisite .
I only take the time review places that leave a positive impression and this is one of them. Although for some, portion sizes are small, if you approach the meal with a tapas sharing mentality, you'll have a great meal. Superb tacos and prawns!
We went for our anniversary and it was amazing! The food was delicious. The dessert was great too!! The also brought us a dessert for our anniversary which was very thoughtful!! Thank you so much.
Super swanky Covent Garden eatery. Delicious Peruvian and Italian style small plates. Super friendly Staff and very knowledgeable. Veliston had the gift of speech and knew the menu well.
Great Place, very friendly. Good Wine list. The food was sharing which was prefect as we got to try lots of dishes, the best were the ribs, tuna tacos and the tortellini. The waiter (Peter Piotl) made the night, he was brilliant. Will be returning as the service was great and so was the food.
Wow this place was so amazing we went back twice! Matheus & Lisa waited on us both nights and we're so welcoming and friendly. Service top notch from them. 2nd night took our picky daughter and she ate everything and loved it, she's still talking about the food. We had the ribeye, beef carpaccio, king prawns, salmon tacos, lobster and crab tortellini, and scallops. Every item was some of the best we've had world wide. I'd go back to London just to eat here again.
"Peruvian and Italian tapas!" Mmmmm. Was a very relaxed experience with great food. Tuna Tacos really good. The aftertaste was next level. Seabass fillets so good. Expect London prices and you won't be disappointed.Highly recommended!
We stayed at the Radison Blu Hotel/Mercer St where the chic Monmouth Kitchen is located. My husband And I enjoyed breakfast there every morning before heading out to explore the city. We also had a delicious meal while dining in on a rainy night. The staff could not have been freindlier and the service impecable. Employees, Mable Dias, Dimitri Zachiotis, Giselle Pereira and Nicola Byalmarkov went above and beyond to mke our trip more enjoyable.
Didn't book but was able to accommodate my party of 3, on a busy 6/12/2025 amazing food and service by Matheus was second to none. He was friendly and informative and nothing was too much trouble , lovely choice of small plates and mains- the rigatoni especially was delicious
Great restaurant. First time visiting & hopefully not the last . Lisa was great, welcoming, friendly & was so understanding with my sons’ food allergies ensuring he could eat without concern . so welcoming and made it very easy. We had a range of dishes & they were so tasty. It was fab. Didn’t have time to take photos, we were too busy enjoying the food and ambience. A return visit is a must.
Loved the food and ambience. Delicious Gnocchi and Tortellini with Truffle. Tacos and Corn and fresh Burrata And affordable London price. With wine and dessert Felt like a treat
Food was fantastic as well as the service. Big thank you to Demetri for his great service and warm reception. It was a delight to meet him and made the experience memorable. 100% recommend the tortellini and the white chocolate mousse/cake with pear dessert. The food was 10/10!!
We had a table here last week for ten of us for a work do. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely and the service was brilliant. We would definitely come back here and fully recommend. Shout out to Mattias who looked after us so well.
Delicious food and excellent friendly service. The menu is an interesting fusion of Peruvian and Mediterranean dishes, from small sharing plates to mains. Have eaten here many times and it never fails to impress. Try the mini tacos, and an Andean negroni
We had dinner at Monmouth Kitchen and really enjoyed the vibe — the atmosphere is stylish and lively, and we definitely had a great time. The beef short rib was very tender and tasty, though slightly on the sweet side. The presentation of each dish was beautiful, especially the scallops. However, it seemed they were finished with a butane blow torch for browning; while it looked great, there was a noticeable gas flavour that came through. A simple butter pan-fry might have been more flavourful. The pasta sauce was good, though the portion was on the smaller side. For dessert, we tried the brownie with cream and the crème brûlée — both were decent. Overall, the environment and atmosphere are excellent, and the food presentation is fantastic, even if some dishes could be refined in flavour.
Been to monmouth kitchen for dinner with my friend. ibrahim did great job giving us recommendations. We had the fried calamari, grilled tiger prawns, seafood pasta. The calamari was very oily. However, the pasta was tasty. To end the meal we had the creme brulee and it was really outstanding
Lovely upscale restaurant with a stylish vibe. Great service with helpful and prompt staff. The food was all delicious however some portions were rather small for the price. We were also slightly disappointed that a lot of the meat wasn’t halal despite calling ahead of time to check (often due to alcohol in the sauces etc).
Stopped in for lunch when I was in London. The restaurant is inside the Radisson Hotel and it describes its menu calls as a Peruvian / Italian blend. Unusual, but it works. The food was high quality but a few things just didn’t wow me. Ceviche was excellent. The Tuna Tacos was more cabbage than tuna. It’s pricey but it’s a hotel restaurant so that’s to be expected. The ambience is nice and there’s a nice wine list.
Above bistro quality, pricey for what you're getting (small portions aboud), a little too loud ....DJ esque raucous tunes for early dinner, really?.... but supreme service all around.
A modern alternative take on Italian dishes. You order a selection and it comes tapas style, as and when, eating each-others dishes. It works alright, and the food is fantastic! For some reason they had a DJ in when we were here, and it ruined the atmosphere as he kept turning the music up and the waiters had to keep telling him to turn it down. Felt more like a club than a sit down meal.
Monmouth Kitchen Visited Monmouth Kitchen and opted for the £28 set menu. The fried calamari were exceptional, and the tortellini was delightful. The desserts, Cafe Almendra and Pera Sensacion, were a perfect end to the meal. The food was outstanding. The service, especially from our server Rajat, was thoughtful and impeccable. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommend!
Lovely place with small tapas-style dishes. We ordered 5 dishes to share for 3 people and were satisfied with the portions. The arancini balls were fantastic and so was the fried squid. The nduja pizza was was small for the price and lacking in flavour. The ceviche was flavourful but nothing special. We loved the cocktails. The service was great and everyone was very polite.
Lively restaurant, great atmosphere. Food very good, cocktails excellent, service bit slow but friendly. Would come back definitely just give myself more time to account for service!
Good service and pleasant place for meeting friends. I liked the atmosphere. We choose set menu. Overall, I disappointed with both taste and portion sizes, considered it poor value for money. The only dish that I enjoyed was paprika ribs. Cafe Almendra came in very tiny espresso cup.
Nice atmosphere but food and service were disappointing. Service was extremely slow. Took 10 mins to get menu since seated. Staffs were nice but they were very inattentive. Once your dishes come, they don't come back to the table to check up so it is very difficult to grab their attention if you decide to order more food or drinks. Extremely frustrating. Food was okay, not really an authentic Peruvian though. Lemon juice (instead of lime juice) was used in tiger's milk in Ceviche, which is unusual, and flavour was not balanced well. Only dish I enjoyed was Paprika rib, which was tender and well seasoned. Rest of food was not worth the price you are paying for.
Follow my food account on instagram @best_restaurantsldn We ordered: 1. Beef carpaccio 2. Crispy peppered calamari 3. Pan-fried salmon 4. Marinated corn-fed chicken 5. Café almendra 6. Pera sensación * This is a mix between an Italian and Peruvian menu * They have a set menu: 3 courses for £28 per person * The food wasn’t amazing, probably average; I don’t think it justified the price. * I have to say the service was terrible and they forgot to make my friend’s main dish (and offered no compensation for the mistake). * The interior was classy and modern. And it’s a good location next to Covent Garden. Ratings: * Taste: 6/10 * Service: 3/10 * Price: 7/10 * Presentation: 6/10
Taste was good, service was excellent, served quick, seats were comfortable. The portion of dishes were small, but the waiter has reminded me about the size when I ordered.
Great ambience. I would happily return for a glass of wine, but I’m not in a hurry to come back for dinner. There’s nothing wrong with the food, but unfortunately there it was nothing spectacular either. Food-wise, I thought the calamari dish was the best, fresh and crispy with good seasoning. The coffee brûlée, on the other hand, was rather abysmal.
A very warm welcome. Lovely staff and a smart, comfortable restaurant. Flavours are amazing..... BUT for £24 only 4 prawns & 4 small mussels, it really is NOT value for money. Chicken skewers were amazing. The dressing on the Orange & Avocado salad was wonderful but there really was not enough Avocado. Sorry but that means I really cannot recommend
We went for lunch on a Sunday. Service was distracted and the produce quality did not match the price paid. Burrata was more like a buffalo mozzarella. Quite disappointed considering the starling reviews
