An absolutely delightful restaurant! I had the Riccardo's pizza, Fior di Latte di Agerola, sautéed seasonal mushroom, Gorgonzola, black truffle £5 - the flavours were so rich and intense! My sister had sea bass ravioli, and again the hit of flavours was divine; also sides of mixed grilled courgette and aubergine, with peppers in the middle, and triple-cooked Parmesan chips - lovely. Sitting outside, it became busy, yet the staff offered us complimentary Limoncello at the end rather than try to hurry us up; another touch of class I noted during our thoroughly enjoyable evening. I will be back, and soon!

Great Italian restaurant in Marylebone with an authentic feel and delicious dishes. Had a 3 course meal and everything was fantastic. Good portions, rich flavours and great service. Will definitely come back (that mozzarella "in carrozza" with tomato sauce is absolutely wonderful).

We went here as a birthday celebration and couldn't have wished for a nicer evening. The food was good, the staff friendly and attentive without being there all the time. They even came out with a small birthday cake, which was a nice touch. All in all a lovely italian restaurant at a reasonable price.

This little Restaurant has a wonderful team of experts. Simple and elegant Italian food. A little surprise amongst many restaurants in Marylebone. Old 1950s feel, beautiful and delicious meals. Excellent service.

Classic Italian restaurant belonging to TV Chef Giancarlo Caldesi, who served us when we visited and joined us for a glass of wine; plus signed his cookery books that we purchased. Located off the very fashionable Marylebone High Street. The restaurant has an Italian cookery school next-door. All of the classic Tuscan choices are available to create a truly authentic Italian dining experience.

Amazing experience! 🌟 The manager Mattia and waiter Alket were so attentive, helping me choose safe gluten-free dishes and also food that is suitable for the table and explaining everything clearly. The food was absolutely delicious – some of the best Italian I’ve had in London 🍝✨. This evening was truly special thanks to their care and the high quality of the food. 👏👏

Our original plan was to dine at the French steak and chips restaurant next door, but as we arrived, we were greeted by a long queue. I must admit, queuing is not my cup of tea and, in my experience, queues usually signal that a place is a bit too hyped— thanks to TikTok or TripAdvisor, or such like 🤔. As we approached, I remarked that ‘this one’ looked far more appealing. After waiting for about ten minutes and making some headway, I decided to ask about a table at Caldesi. That’s when we jumped ship…... We definitely made the right choice. The food and wine were superb, the service was excellent, and the whole atmosphere was calm and inviting. It was just what we were hoping for: a perfect spot to enjoy delicious food and a glass of wine in a lovely setting.

Caldesi is truly exceptional! From the moment you step inside, you feel the warmth and kindness of the staff. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality set the tone for a wonderful dining experience. The food is outstanding, with beautifully presented dishes that are as delicious as they are visually appealing. It has become a must-visit spot for us on every trip to London. A special thank you to the team for accommodating us with a table, even on short notice. Highly recommended!

This is a perfect place...buzzy trattoria style downstairs with a great bar, lively outdoor seating and a beautiful bar. And white table clothes, proper dining room upstairs. The front of house service is polite and efficient, the star is the food and it shines. The entire menu looks excellent. We had the homemade Ragu, homemade pasta, it was superb. We also ordered a picannte pizza which was expertly made, like you'd eat in Napoli. We also shared zucchini fritti and a side salad which were both well done. Simple, good food. This will become a regular. It's tops.

A spectacular find. One of our best and most authentic dining experiences in London during our recent week-long stay. Delicious Italian food. Margareta pizza with garlic, the best veal schnitzel and calamari were faultless. Lemoncello spritiz was refreshing and finally, the tiramasu was the perfect end to the meal. Lovely staff and we even met the owner and his wife who checked on us during dinner to make sure we were enjoying their food. Be sure to book though as it is very popular with locals and tourists like us.

Calamari was fresh but not really flavorful but hey I love flavour. The sea bass fillet- can’t remember the fancy name was perrrfect! Flavorful, awesome texture and delicious. My friend loved her Ragu and loved it- my other friend loved the liver dish. We will definitely be back! (Albeit seperately) My aperol spritz was also great!

I had the Milanese at Caldesi and it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The veal was cooked perfectly — crispy, full of flavour, and the sauce was spot on. Everything on the plate just worked together really well. Great service too, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.

Today I had lunch with 2 more friends. We asked for a table upstairs because we were celebrating a birthday. Our waiter took great care of us and even explained the special of the day. He provided impeccable service and even surprised us with a dessert that said Happy Birthday

One of my favourite locations in Marylebone. Very cosy, family-style atmosphere. The food is delicious: for appetisers I love the Arancini and the Vitello Tonnato, some of my favourite dishes include the Zucconara, Fettucine Toscane and the Pappardelle Ragu. The wine selection and cocktails are also great! Tried Bramíto for the first time and absolutely loved it! The service is wonderful, quick, attentive and very friendly! Highly recommend for family dinners, girl dinners or any other occasion where you want to eat well without breaking the bank.

Such a cosy spot tucked away in the corner of Marylebone! It was my first visit and my friends and I had such a wonderful time. The staff were incredibly attentive and genuinely made the experience feel special! The food was so good I didn’t manage to get any pictures. The calamari was crispy, but the prawn ’nduja gamberi was definitely the highlight and easily one of the best things I’ve eaten in a while. We ended with the fluffiest tiramisu and a beautiful poached pear, which was the perfect way to wrap up a post-work catch-up!

Had my girlfriend’s birthday dinner here tonight and we honestly couldn’t thank the team at Caldesi enough for their amazing hospitality. From start to finish, everything was on another level. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were all absolutely fantastic. We also loved hearing some great stories about the Caldesi family, which made the evening feel even more special. Highly recommend this place to anyone planning a visit — we’ll definitely be coming back!

Leonardo gave us great service, and gave us great recommendations for the wine and dessert wines. The food was so lovely. Left with a full stomach and smiles on our faces

Brilliant Italian food in a great setting. Located on a quiet backstreet in Marylebone, this little Oasis makes you feel as if you are not in busy London. The duck Ragu was very tender and flavourful. The linguine Caldesi with prawns was creamy and delicious. Wine pricing was good. The owner is a celiac so the gluten free pasta choice served with the duck was properly done and NOT the typical shape or flavour that most other restaurants choose to serve. Great surprise.

I went in Caffè Caldesi for my 10th anniversary. I wanna say just 1 word:WOW. The service is very good and all the waiter/waitress are very kind and professional, but the best of the restaurant is the food, amazing and well presented, full of flavours and well balanced, from the facaccia and bread basket to dessert. The best italian restaurant in London no doubt. I really recommend to try this restaurant, you'll love it.

An oasis of Italy in Marylebone. Superb setting, service and food. A treat for all the senses. Set in a quiet side street you can sit outside in the sun or the fine bistro atmosphere of the restaurant itself. The tastes are all authentically Italian!

New favourite restaurant in the area. Lovely and friendly staff, great service and amazing food, especially the selection of desserts ... could not decide so tried the set of three mini ones (which were still pretty large portions). Would definitely come back again!

My daughter and I decided to eat lunch here on a whim and I'm so glad we did. We got a table outside and they had heaters as well as blankets provided. Service was efficient and the food was fabulous! We did the two course lunch menu and for £15 each it was incredible value! I had the mozzarella and bread with tomato sauce for appy and chicken Milanese for entree. the former was like a very glamorous incredibly delicious cheese toasty and the latter was a huge portion of crispy thin chicken with an incredibly mustardy salad. My daughter had the mushroom bruschetta and the eggplant parmesan for her entree. The eggplant parmesan was unlike any other that I've had before! It was elegant and simply delightful

I booked this lovely restaurant for a retirement lunch. All 10 x diners were delighted with the ambiance, service and food. Thank you to all the staff at Caldesi for being so attentive. I plan to visit the restaurant myself based on guest feedback.

Have I reviewed Caldesi before? If not, I should have done! I called last evening at short notice and happily was told that they could accommodate us. There is a very welcoming atmosphere with just the right mix of formal and friendly. The patrons are a mix of couples and friends with a relaxed dress code. However if you turn up in your best bib and tucker, you won’t feel too out of place. The food is very good of course with a “specials” option too. Last night we were with an elderly friend and when I asked about a taxi, a wonderful young man rushed off to secure us one. We felt like we were relatives! Thank you so much!

Caldesi food is exceptional - definitely some of the best pasta I have ever had including Italy. Lots of vegetarian options. The linguine caldesi was so delicious, I’ll definitely be going back for it!

Really enjoyed this place every time we’ve been. Location is very quaint... down a little lane in Marylebone. Service was great. We walked in (5 adults and 2 toddlers with prams) and the staff could not do enough to accommodate us... and they were busy! Food was delicious and cannot be faulted. For those looking for no Gluten... no problem, they will provide. Do yourself a favour... if you are looking for reasonably priced Italian in the heart of Marylebone then Caldesi will not disappoint

Delicious Italian food in a quaint setting Went back almost 2 years later and it was quite good! The truffle pasta was noteworthy. Lovely service as always.

I think Caldesi has a really nice vibe and overall the food is good but for the price I think you can get better elsewhere. I think the service is good and the staff are friendly but for the price you pay I would expect slightly more in terms of service. We weren’t asked for repeat drink orders or how our food was for the main course. Of course the price is also a reflection on the location so it’s not surprising to me that it’s expensive I just think they could work on consistency of the food as well as more attention to detail. It does get very busy and of course busy operations can also affect the above.

Delicious, authentic Italian! The staff was quite accommodating with our little one, although they didn't have a kids menu they were willing to do a small portion of rigatoni with tomato sauce which was great albeit a bit on the expensive side (£10 for a super small portion). I had no idea they did Iced Coffee and waa very pleasantly surprised with how good it was.

Overall the atmosphere for our Christmas meal and the food was lovely! The issue was that between the courses took a very long time. We were sat at around 19:30 but the starter didnt come around 20:10 and it felt a bit chaotic on what we can and cannot order. Having some softdrink and menu for thr Christmas meal would have been better. Also we were quite a lot of us but we were sat in a L shape and it was very difficult to get out for the toilet. Having more than one female toilet on the top floor would have been better. The staff were nice but just overall it felt quite slow and a lot of people had to leave even before dessert because it was pass 22:00 and they had to travel back. Also there was one table next to us which felt a bit odd as well.

This is a good choice if you want to eat italian. We ate twice at this restaurant during our London trip. Spaghetti dish and caprese salad were really good, I tried the pasta dish with clams and it was pretty blant for my taste, trued the veal dish it was great but salt was littlenon the meat which balances pit well witht he side of pasta they serve with this dish. The bread basket was great the 1st time. the second time it was overheated, was not so fresh. I just find this place a little overpriced given that the food is not wow. Vanessa was great and kind to us. Everyone in this store was kind.

The food is very good and feels like home made. The service string and the restaurant cute. It is a great location in Marylebone Lane and could update decor a little but it is really nice. The pasta was good and I had a bit of fish my guest had which was very well done. They have a cooking school around the corner which sounds interesting to try some time. A good wholesome place to have Italian food anytime. Recommended.

Not as good as expected for a supposedly "top end" restaurant: It was a bit cold downstairs. Despite it was mostly empty we were given the table by the stairs, which was wobbly. Food was good but pricey, there is this other small franchise I enjoy the same and price is half. Desserts maybe not best as tiramisu looked like more a mouse. Service wad basic, they add 13% on bill service charge. Accidentally charged us a bottle of water for 5.5 but it was removed from the bill.

Dinner on a Monday night. The food and wine were very good. We sat wedged next to the bar, not the most comfortable. The service let us down during the meal, the worst part was being kicked out of the restaurant at 10pm. Will think twice about going back again

Food is good, Italian maybe sometimes a bit modified for a more International experience. Service was not the best: it was difficult to sync what the people at the table ordered, some of us had to wait because of how the kitchen discerns between antipasti/primi/mains. A bit too expensive for what they offer, but all in all a nice experience.

Good food. Generous helping of perfectly green olives. Service was a little slow toward the end of the meal, but overall very friendly.

Food was good, but service as the day went on got slower and slower, even though the place was quiet. Food was lovely, set course was value for money.

The venue is nice and clean but the service was slow. Food was terrible. I took the Milanese (veal) and it wasn’t cooked. Also, for drinks tried paloma but there was no alcohol it was only soda and water.

Terrible atmosphere, such an uncomfortable place ! Food: - pizza was cold cheese tasted like plastic - i ordered pasta ragu there was barely even meet on my plate and it was really cold - food tasted really bad especially for a restaurent neighbouring le relais de l’entrecote, for appetisers we order the sharers and meat tasted like it was outside for months. Atmosphere: - we were greeted by that tall waiter who every few minutes was giving us a side eye and gossiping about us in Italian - when the waitress came to add parmesan to my plate I asked for another spoon the manager told me its fine we have plenty of it with an arrogant tone - that tall Italian water with the man bun was really rude and made us all feel uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend that place at all !

Horrible place. Came to london for a short trip and was looking for a place that was open late at night. We were a group of 4, called to double check if their kitchen was open. They said they would be happy to help. We went and welcomed by the most unwanted greeting ever. The staff were awkward and eavesdropping to our conversation and talking about us between each other. We even tried to speak to the manager to express our concerns and he proceeded to mock our accent in an indirect way. The food arrived cold and the cheese tasted like plastic. I had the Caldesi pasta which was one of their "homemade pasta" that was not fresh whatsoever. Another friend had ordered one of their pizza which was even worse. No idea have they operate in Central London, do not recommend one bit. If you're craving Italian go to Domino's or Papa John's, at least you'd have some proper pizza compared to this. An amazing course of dinner could be had right next door at Le Relais de Venise L'Entrecote for the same price with delicious food and large portion sizes. DO NOT GO TO CALDESI IN MARLYEBONE!

A

Starter was average. Calamari was too greasy with carbonara pasta was small and mediocre could’ve been made easily at home. The main dishes we ordered took 50+ minutes.
