Great food and service as usual. Cotê is one of my favourite chain restaurants. Food is always great, and the cream caramel is the best Pudim ever!

I booked really last minute because I saw the promotion of Happiest menu and honestly it was a steal. Only £19 for a three course meal ?! Sign me up everytime! It was a lovely experience, the staff were nice and very kind. I struggled to find the enterance though as there are three doors and the one that works is covered by curtains so I didn’t realise it was the main door. Also if you want a quieter dinner , I suggest coming here after 19:00 as that’s when a majority of the theatre go-ers leave for their shows and it’s quieter.

What a lovely quirky venue, with lots of character and atmosphere! The food and drink are excellent and good value, and nicely presented. As for the staff, well I must say, they are friendly and efficient, and a pleasure to talk to! The service is excellent! I was not disappointed and I will definitely visit again! 😀

Lovely. Had lunch with friends - never been, always go past while I’m in the area. Had the charcuterie to share and the confit pork belly as the main. Everything was lovely!

Had a lovely dinner at Côte Covent Garden! Their menu offers something for everyone. I enjoyed the corn soup with glutenfree bread, the tomato harissa tagine and the vegan ice cream. The staff helped me pick a suitable wine. The Bordeaux was very tasteful with the tagine. I have very much respect for the hardworking staff who are very customer friendly and also knowledgeable about allergens. My compliments for your restaurant and service. I sat next to a couple who came more often at Côte restaurants across England and they told me the quality of their food was always guaranteed: an undisputed standard that they intend to keep high. I’d love to visit you again during my next visit to London!

We were initially hesitant to visit Côte, especially after our local branch closed and the brand changed hands a few months ago. Our pasta was overcooked and my Salmon pasted well-done. However, deciding to celebrate our November birthdays there, knowing the menu generally caters to my specific dietary requirements, proved to be a good choice. While we did notice some differences in the current product offerings compared to the "old" Côte, the staff made all the difference in the most spectacular way. Our evening was guided by the polite and professional service of Sayed, and then elevated to the next level by the manager, Tiffany. Once Tiffany learned that it was a joint birthday celebration and that I had specific dietary requirements, she immediately stepped in. She helped Sayed coordinate our birthday treats, going above and beyond by insisting we wait and personally bringing out my absolute favourite: a perfect Crème Caramel. What we thought might be a disappointing evening turned into a truly impressive one, thanks to the team. A huge thank you to Sayed and Tiffany for creating such a fantastic experience—and the lovely receptionist deserves a mention too!

Everything was absolutely amazing, as usual. The food, the atmosphere, and the overall experience were once again flawless. A special mention must go to Suzana, the manager, who was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout. She had her eyes on every detail across the restaurant, ensuring everything ran perfectly and that every guest was happy — a true example of outstanding hospitality. The pork belly was simply perfect — beautifully cooked, full of flavour, and a real compliment to the chef. Thank you all for another wonderful experience. We very much hope to be back again

This was my pick of a lovely place to have a family Christmas get together and it did not disappoint. The food is excellent and the three course Christmas lunch is great value and tastes delicious. Service was excellent, very attentive without being overbearing and there is a lovely welcoming atmosphere. We spent a few hours here and felt comfortable and welcome throughout. Thank you.

Excellent service, good job from the kitchen staff, we ordered steak and fries, fish pamentiere (you can feel freshly cooked), couple sides and drinks, all was great experience. Big thanks for our the waiter Jay, very friendly and helpful.

We stopped by for lunch and were pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious, but what truly stood out was the outstanding service. Fernando went above and beyond—he walked us through the entire menu, answered all our questions with patience, and made us feel genuinely welcome. The whole team was warm and attentive, creating a great atmosphere. Thanks to Fernando and the staff, we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended!

Thank you for providing an incredible dining experience. The food was delightful; our group of three ordered a variety of dishes from the menu. The starters arrived promptly, and each one was perfectly prepared—especially the calamari, which was golden and crunchy without being overcooked. For the main courses, we enjoyed mussels, duck leg, and salmon. Everything was flavorful and beautifully presented. The desserts were simply delicious, with the chocolate fondant standing out as a must-try—warm and rich. In addition to the fantastic food, the staff was welcoming, professional, and friendly. The entire experience was truly delightful. Thank you once again!

Cote is a French Restaurant that comes highly recommended by a local friend staying in London. He said : “Make a reservation, or it will be near impossible to walk in” And I did just that before I flew to London. They are indeed very, very full almost back to back bookings especially, this particular outlet which is near several theaters. Food is exceptionally good, in fact, remarkable. The food was deeply flavored and soulfully cooked. Lots of skill 👩‍🍳 and effort went into preparing the meals and I totally enjoyed the meal. Special mentioned to the Confit Pork Belly. Beautifully cooked with infused thyme herbs 🌿 and it just falls apart when you cut it. The French onion 🧅soup 🍲 was also a winner….. simple yet sophisticated, yummy! 😋 All the staff and captain was just a marvel to watch when they work. Fast, friendly and super polite despite the huge crowd inside the restaurant and another big group waiting at the door. She easily took our order, came back, settled our drinks and got us going. Calm and professional. Overall, a delightful experience at Cote and I will highly recommend them to anyone. 👍 #Cote

We had a wonderful Christmas dinner at Côte Brasserie. The food was excellent, offering a good variety of flavors. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for the holiday season. Our waiter, Ashwaty, provided great service, making our experience even more enjoyable. What stood out was the range of gluten-free options, which was particularly appreciated by one of our group who is gluten-free. She was really impressed with her meals. Overall, Côte Brasserie delivered a fantastic dining experience that catered well to all our needs. Highly recommended!

You can't really go wrong with Côte, as always friendly and professional service with great tasting food. Certified by Coeliac UK they are a great option for the Gluten Free traveller. The cost is slightly higher than some restaurants but you get what you pay for, the excellent food and great service are worth it.

Had dinner here with my wife and two children (14&16) after a day in London. There are steps up into the venue on two side of the building. There may be a disabled entrance available if a member of staff is asked. The venue is very smart and the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The menu looked good and there were several vegan and vegetarian options. There was a good wine list, which also recommended which type of food they would go best with. All were satisfied with their food. All just had main courses without starters this time, one dessert, drinks including a bottle of wine, all came to £140. There are set menu 2 & 3 course meal options available. There is a 10% tip automatically included in the bill. The Creme Brulee was very good. The meal cost a fair bit but I was very satisfied with the overall experience and you do expect to pay more when in London. We have been before & will come again.

So this was a great surprise for us. We started with a French onion soup that was really tasty, it’s a heavy broth with cheese bread. Then we had the beef cheek bourguignon, the meat was super tender you could slice it with the fork, amazing and the sauce it’s on delicious. They didn’t have smash potatoes that come with but they offered us dauphine potatoes that were also good. We also ordered the duck confit that was also really tasty. The dessert was delicious too. Overall a great experience, service super friendly and atmosphere really nice. Thanks for everything

We had a great dinner. Everything was super tasty, and the service was impeccable. Special thanks to Kayhan for his kind service. Unfortunately, this time we had to eat and leave fast to catch our train but next time when we are in London we hope to enjoy this lovely place even more

My experience at Côte was exceptional. Many thanks to Fernando and his team for the outstanding service. I highly recommend the duck with orange, it was delicious! The wines were also incredible. Great atmosphere and fair prices. Thanks to Fernando for such a wonderful experience!

I had a pleasant Christmas dinner at this charming café with a French-inspired vibe. Although I experienced some issues with the online booking system, the kind and efficient administrator at the café resolved everything on the spot, which made for a smooth and welcoming experience. The food was good and complemented the festive atmosphere nicely. I tried their non-alcoholic Christmas cocktail, but I wouldn’t personally recommend it—it tasted more like a sweet compote. That said, I wasn’t feeling my best and avoided regular cocktails, so this might have influenced my preference. Plain water would have been a better choice for me. A special mention goes to Rahul, the waiter, who was polite, attentive, and made sure everything went smoothly. The café’s location in the heart of the theater district is also a big plus, adding to its convenience and charm. Overall, I enjoyed the evening. It’s a cozy spot with good food, excellent service, and a welcoming ambiance. I would recommend it for a relaxing meal.

Ate here following a wander round Covent Garden’s. Food was beauty and good value. Get unlimited chips and sauces alongside food. Best bit hands down about the restaurant was the staff. Really friendly, very attentive and couldn’t do enough!

Excellent restaurant and excellent staff. Made to feel really special and they were incredibly attentive and kind, especially our server Sayed. The food was delicious and more then value for money. Highly recommended.

First visit to this vibrant location in the centre of town. Welcomed by smart Nd professional staff who were clearly on point with the level of service expected by the management team. Delivered with ease and that little bit extra, eg a napkin to wipe a condensed glass before putting on the table, checking whether ice and lemon in a glass of water. Small things but those that show the difference between really believing in what one is doing in providing a service and just doing one's job. Food exceptional. Good quality and tasty. It was what it said on the menu. One down side...... The toilets. Lets be honest most places fail here but the gents were dispicable. Wet, with a very unpleasant aroma, stuff that had been on the floor for a VERY long time that shouldn't have been there and Very close to the kitchen. Overall a lovely visit, well served with good food in a central location. Would recommend

My friend and I, we had lunch at Cote in Covent Garden. The food was great, not pricey very affordable for central London, the staff was friendly and attentive, hats off to the lovely manager from Poland Natalia, she welcome us warmly and ensured we had fantastic time and enjoyed our meal. Definitely we will be back!

R
Rosie Staniforth

We had a delicious, competitively priced meal at Cote Covent Garden (Tavistock Street). The star of the show was our waiter Jaimin, who was extremely helpful with your app, knowledgeable about the food/drinks and very attentive in a softly spoken, unobtrusive way. He really was excellent and a credit to your team.

T
Tracy ter Kuile

Had a quick bite, pre-theatre. The steak frites with mushroom sauce hit the spot perfectly as well as a glass of Malbec. Sayed provided quick, efficient and friendly service which was appreciated, so there was no last minute rush to get to our show.

A
Arunas Mulvinskas

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was warm, elegant, and relaxing — ideal for a special occasion. The food was simply divine — both the steak and the boeuf bourguignon were cooked to perfection. The service was exceptional; every member of staff was attentive and welcoming. A special thank you to Fernando, who was truly outstanding and made our evening extra special. Thank you!

Whilst I’m a full-blown carnivore, I had Cote’s vegetarian breakfast and it was DELICIOUS! The spinach and cheese sausage was terrific and everything on the plate was beautifully cooked. Cappuccinos were excellent, too. Prices by London standards were reasonable and I will definitely come back.

Wonderful food and great value. We have two guests who needed gluten free and it was great. Unlimited fires were unreal!

We booked the private room for a family function for 15 people. The service was excellent, the food was amazing and we will be returning next year. I couldn’t recommend Côte Covent Garden enough! Thank you for making our evening so special!

Been to Cote a few times but this last one was quite memorable as the Potted Crab starter was absolutely delicious the Bourguignon was fantastic! Fernando and Jay, our server was so lovely, professional and delivered a great experience. Highly recommend this place for a delightful dining experience!

We booked xmas day dinner and have to say the food was exemplary, delicious menu. A quality venue made special by the relaxed environment and fantastic positive watress Riga. Would strongly recommend this restaurant.

Post theatre meal. Food and service was excellent. Fully accessible with an entrance for wheelchairs. Recommend the French onion soup and the mussels with fries. It was very busy and glad I booked as some were turned away at the door because the restaurant was full.

The food was delicious! Our waiter Sayed was very accommodating and made conversation with us about our trip to Mamma Mia. My mum mentioned that we went for her birthday and he gave us a birthday dessert, which was so kind. We would highly recommend the restaurant to others and would like to give a special thanks to Sayed.

Nice atmosphere, not too noisy on a busy Friday evening so you can have a proper conversation. Very reasonably priced. Service was fast and friendly. The menu has a good variety of food to select from. Food is mediocre but nothing out of expectation. We shared a few starters - calamari was delicious but chicken liver parfait has a nasty smell. I had duck confit for the main. I find the skin not crispy enough, but the flavoring is good. For dessert I'd recommend the creme brulee. It has a more refreshing taste than standard creme brulee with elderflower infusion. The salted caramel chocolate cake is way too sweet for me.

C
Cristal Acca

Côte is a solid choice for a relaxed meal in a warm, welcoming setting that suits just about everyone. The food is consistently good, with wellexecuted dishes and a wine list that offers plenty of enjoyable options to match the menu. I particularly appreciated the cheese selection, served with a variety of jams. The background music also adds to the atmosphere without being distracting. I’d definitely recommend the pork: flavourful, well cooked, and one of the standout dishes.

J
Julie Blankenship

Celebrated a friends Hen do here. We had a table for 6 towards the back which was nice! Our server was good, however the time for our food to come out was quite long, we were nearly late for our show at the Novello theatre. Atmosphere was very nice but the food was not as good as I had hoped.

J
Jean Suchonvanich

We went on a weekday evening without a reservation and ordered right away. There was only one other table next to us who ordered just after—and even chose the same dish. After waiting around 25 minutes with no food, we asked the staff to check, especially since the other table had already received their salmon. Our food arrived immediately after we followed up. The duck confit was even served to the wrong table at first. When we asked for the bill, we requested to remove the service charge, as we didn’t feel the service was acceptable. A staff member responded rudely, saying, “The salmon takes at least 15 minutes,” in a clearly annoyed tone. I pointed out that the service charge was optional, and after speaking with his supervisor, he brought us the updated bill. Although the food was average, the poor service left a bad impression—I won’t be returning to this branch.

We had a lovely dinner experience, we sat in a booth in a small section of the restaurant which was very cosy and nicely decorated .We had great service, especially from our waitress Kinjalben who was very kind and helpful. We had steak and burgers which were nice and crème caramel for dessert.

B

Lovely French fare - we came here for dinner before the opera and the place was packed! Our server did his best to keep up with all the hustle and bustle so kudos to him. The Breton fish stew was slightly salty, but the beef cheek bourguignon was melt in your mouth tender. Loved the chicken pate and creme caramel! Would definitely come back!

Good, tasty food in a comfortable atmosphere. Ordered from the fixed price menu (£16.95 for two courses), which was good value for money and exactly as expected. However the espresso martini was a little expensive (£9.25), and while acceptable almost seemed as though it had no alcohol in it. Mostly attentive service (save for towards the end when trying to get the bill when we seemed to be forgotten about), with friendly, polite staff.

J

Review: I eat at cote regularly. Today I ordered a Roast Chicken Salad expecting a piece of cold roast chicken with the salad described in the menu. I was not expecting shredded chicken and I sent it back. The dish needs to be accurately described in the menu. The staff were very accommodating and professional.

We have always found Coté restaurants to be reliable and delicious. Decent French snacks and a good selection of reasonable quality. Today we went to Coté Covent Garden and were really disappointed. The new menu is quite limited, focussed on steak frites, and the quality of the food was poor. My medium rare steak was medium plus and the pepper sauce served tasted like a ready-made sauce. The children's pasta was overcooked and their coulant au chocolat was cold inside. The French fries were okay at best. Whoever came up with the idea of introducing an all-you-can-eat French fries option is a mystery to me. The service was nice, friendly, and attentive. Due to the selection and the food, we won't be coming back. Too bad.

This is not "Cote" anymore Cote used to be one of my favourite restaurants. I've been eating at various branches around the country since they first opened. Good quality, tasty, reasonably priced food. The menu was interesting and varied. The place was always bustling with a great atmosphere On this visit, the restaurant was almost empty and the atmosphere was faintly depressing I felt sorry for the service staff; it's not their fault that the new owners have decided to ruin what was once a great restaurant for those of us who appreciate the choice of tasty food they used to offer and can't afford the more expensive options in London. I wish the new owners had just taken over the venues and called the restaurant something else At least my memory of my previous, many, lovely meals there wouldn't have been tainted by this experience

J
Jonathan Trim

We used to love Cote. Consistently high quality food. Since the acquisition in October 2025, the menu is tiny and bland and the food quality is appalling. Just one example - my son ordered a croque monsieur and it was a damp piece of toast with a small piece of ham and some poorly grated cheese on top. The Karali Group clearly think they can cut the costs and flip the business, but there won’t be a business left - I’ve been to greasy spoon cafes which do better quality of food than this. Really upset - Cote was a favourite, but we won’t go there again :(

A
Alex Trendell

I had the cote burger, it was over done and chewy. They made multiple mistakes with our order, it was busy, these things happen, but the food wasnt nearly good enough to make up for it. The staff were very efficent and polite, cant fault them. 6.50 for a bottle of beer is also a liberty however. Overall Save your hard earned pennies, go somewhere else, there are far better options in Covent Garden and Leicester Dquare.

The Worst Christmas Lunch Ever We booked COTE Covent Garden (Tavistock Street) for what was meant to be a special Christmas lunch. Instead, it was an absolute disaster and one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, there was no welcome whatsoever. Staff were cold, robotic, and clearly uninterested. Not festive, not warm, not remotely Christmassy — just going through the motions with zero effort. The bill came to £256.04 for two adults and one child, without wine, which is frankly outrageous for what was served. This was misleading, poor value, and completely unjustified. The starters were well below standard: • “King prawns” turned out to be tiny prawns • Salmon arrived without the cream it was described with • Bread was stale The mains were even worse: • Fish dish was bland and tasteless — more cream than lobster stock, if any at all • One main had to be sent back because the garnish was cold • The children’s meal mash was clearly microwaved Desserts were “okay” — no surprise there, as they were clearly bought in and required no skill. Service was non-existent and unprofessional throughout. No checks, no care, no apology, no ownership of the issues. Management is clearly failing — staff training and leadership urgently need addressing. This was meant to be a special Christmas day, and instead it was completely ruined by horrible food and even worse service. We left disappointed, frustrated, and feeling ripped off. Avoid — especially on a special occasion.
