Best Chinese food in London 😍😍 will definitely come back here AGAIN!!!
The most amazing Chinese food ever! Great ambience and really incredible food with a great vegetarian selection
Fantastic chinese restaurant. Excellent food and quite athmosphere. Perfect for business.
Excellent food and service. Have been a regular since opening and the standards have stayed high.
Great hong kong style chinese food. Always provide good and fresh food, esp seafood
Good competent Cantonese food by Malaysian group, so taste has a little SE Asian influence to it
Excellent sampler menu, good range of wines and cocktails, highly recommended
Fab Chinese food in a great location, in the Grosvenor hotel within walking distance of Victoria station.
Fresh food, not crowded, good dim sum. Glad to have it in the neighborhood
Good atmosphere, much more spacious than restaurants in Chinatown
I think the imperial chicken curry was one of the best chicken dishes I have ever eaten!
Amazing food and reasonably priced considering the area
Best sweet and sour chicken I've had in years quite well priced as well considering its location
First time here for lunch for 3. Service staff attentive. Tea was excellent as was the rest of our meal. Menu options good. Ambiance ideal. I never felt I was in a busy train station. I'd go back here!
Surprisingly good and authentic Chinese food. Dim sum used to be great but they had a change of chef and its just OK now. Great duck though
Had our 2018 New year candle light dinner.. it's really great and people are very pleasing.. Had a warm welcome 👌
wonderful decor, consistently high standard cuisine, reasonable prices and friendly staff. You cannot ask for more.
Delicious and reasonably priced for dim sum. Grand and comfortable setting.
Walked in off the street at 9.15pm, good table quick service and great tasting food - a little bit western on flavouring. Quality of chicken and beef in main dishes was high and singapore noodles were great with big prawns!
Came here a year ago with a groupon offer for lobster and noodles. The lobster was AMAZING. We had a seafood crispy noodle too which was just as good. The decor is beautiful; very high class and modern, to be honest, i felt underdressed! But the staff were friendly and didn't judge us based on our casual wear. A definite go back.
Spacious and beautiful room based within the facilities of Grosvenor Hotel. I have been here a few times previous for afternoon tea and dinner. This time we came for a late lunch. Their lunch set menu was good value and we opted for two courses each. None of the dessert choices were tempting me - if only their green tea creme brulee was on there! We had the aubergine with minced pork, the lamb slices, the sautéed chicken and pepper, and the roast duck and pork mains. All delicious and nicely flavoured, though the aubergine dish was my favourite. The starters were all tasty too and not too oily. The dim sum platter was good, so I would like to come back for a dimsum lunch. If you want atmosphere, I would recommend booking a table during the busy times of the day. It is a very large tall room and while it retains the original charm in the architecture, the room is seen and feels at its best when its used to its full capacity.
Extensive menu. Good food and lovely surroundings. Staff friendliness 6.5/10.
Went for dim sum and had a very nice meal.
Cozy hotel in the heart of Historic London. Just a stone throw from Buckingham Palace.
Had an excellent lunch of dim sum in the private dining room with a group. Service was efficient and friendly and we really enjoyed the food. I'd definitely go again.
My girlfriend bought me afternoon tea there as a present and it was great. Enough food for it to be lunch, very relaxing atmosphere, didn't feel like you were in the bustling heart of London, felt like you were in another time. Will go back
like dim sum?! want to have something different for your afternoon tea?! this restaurants is your new choices, same as other afternoon tea place 3 tier of cake stand but with dim sum instead of sandwichs and asian infusion of the pastry and of course tea and coffee but tea is chinese tea and also in higher quality, if hungry and you can have lovely lunch in there as well
Now an English restaurant called The Grosvenor Tavern. Serves reasonable food plus a reasonable wine list. Very grand surroundings.
Nice Chinese food in a beautiful restaurant. 1 entrance is in Victoria station making it ideal meeting place for this that live south London
Very good dim sum; great Peking Duck! Grand venue, if a little tired recently.
Generally good Chinese food. Make sure not to go on day the main chef is on leave.
Avis publié : 23 janvier 2017 Good chinese restaurant, perfect service Google Traduction When staying at the Grosvenor hotel, I tried this restaurant close by the lobby. Food quality is good/very good, with variety in the plates. Side dishes portions are huge. Service was good, and incredibly fast, despite the fact that all tables were occupied on a busy night. The waitress helped to choose among the plates, and was very kind. This is not authentic Chinese food as in China or home-made dishes by Chinese friends, but as a "Chinese-style" meal, this is really nice, and quality is definitely here.
Very nice traditional dim sum place. Quite a grand setting. Super convenient as it's in Victoria station. Buggy access is poor but once you're there they're very good with kids.
On the corner of Victoria station, as you enter you go from the hustle and bustle of the station to a calm high ceiling restaurant. Upon entering we were unwelcomed by a waitress, that made me feel like I should choose a different restaurant. She expressed that basically everything on the menu was finished and they were closing soon. After a long walk I wasn't really feeling to find a different restaurant, so we sat down to order regardless. Upon examining the menu, only 2 items were not available. The food came within 15 mins. We ordered lobster and noodles for the price of £52. Was it nice, yes. Was it with the price, no they could have knocked off £10, because the noodles didn't seem fresh, nor was it hot as you would expect your freshly cooked food to be. Nonetheless I enjoyed it...ish. The price is high, but you are paying for eating in London and the hotel. The ambiance was nice and calm. I have heard they will be closing for refurbishment but I could be wrong. I won't be going here again, but not because I didn't like it, I'm just not looking to spend a lot of money for ok food
Greay location and nice atmosphere but menu doesn't have much detail, for example a dim sum platter with no further description. Food was okay but not worth the money when compared to some of the other Chinese restaurants that I have been to in London.
Looks very fancy, and some of the staff are friendly and accommodating, however some of their menu is very restrictive. And some of the price differences on the food is unnecessary
Decor a bit bleak with little atmosphere but has been fairly empty on my two visits. Staff helpful and nibbles good.
I wouldn’t recommend this place, we went for a banquet for 14 people paying £55 each. We all walked away hungry. The portions are for 6 people, despite having a 14 seater round table. Though it wasn’t enough food, it was quite tasty, but I would NOT come here ever again. Note to management, look at the table size and serve the portions according.
Went to dim sum here and it was barely average. As a fan of dim sum it's the worst I have v tried in London. If you want dim sum I would go elsewhere. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and the dining room was Indeed grand.
The hotel is okay. The lobby is impressive, the rooms are nice. But the proximity (literally attached to) Victoria Train station makes the noise unbearable. you actually hear all the train announcements from your room if you are on one of the inside rooms (opposite the main street.)
Went back here following an amazing dining experience for an 18th birthday celebration. This time it was for a 21st. And alot had changed in 3yrs. The staff were curt and rude, and the food was awful, as well as being smaller in portion size, and waiting for over 15min for various dishes to be brought to the table. So what should have been a wonderful celebratory evening was totally ruined.
Bad service, mediocre food and bad experience! Not coming back!
My husband and I (we're both British Chinese) went to this restaurant for the Chinese New Year celebration (01 Feb 2014). We found this restaurant on some Chinese calendar advert. And I must say, this's such a wrong decision to go there!!! The service was really bad. All the staff were very colde and they didn't know how to smile. Before we ever sat down, a female staff (Malaysian?Chinese?) with dyed yellow hair said to us in very cold and rush voice, "you got 2 hours slot!". I was really shocked becasue this was the first time happend to me that you got told that you had time limit to eat your food, despite in a such expensive restaurant!!! We ordered some Chinese soup and it was extremely salty like they had put tones of salt into it. The main courses were really bad too with loads of brocolli (and one dish was charged at GBP38.00!!!). I have never written any reviews online but this time I strongly feel I am obliged to do so!!! I just read some 1 star reviews about this restaurant and I should have learned from one of the reviewers to ask them to remove the service charge and also the charges for the salty soup!!! I will NOT go back to this restaurant again and certainly would NOT recommend anyone! We paid for over 100 quids for the dinner and should certainly deserve much much better service & food!
We had a meal for 4 on 11 Feb 2017. One course was cold, one arrived late, the wine order was a mix up and we split the bill 50/50 and said £115 each. The waitress charged us £150 each!!! Not funny. No apology. Could have been a mistake but not in our favour.
Absolute disgrace for a birthday meal. Tried to get there before 10.30 pm, but they closed just seconds before we arrived. Not the best of places to go to if you're going at a late time of the day.
Simply dreadful; what we ordered was not brought, other tired looking dishes were, all food was presented simultaneously and getting some wine to the table proved difficult. Never again.
Got horrible food poisoning at this place. Service was excellent but somebody didn't handle the food properly and I got sick immediately after.
The duck was too fat, the pork was too old, the marble columns fake and the waitress unfriendly. Never ever again.
Highly recommend you go anywhere else but here!! We are staying at the hotel, and came by for dinner. Very disappointed in both the service, and portions for the price. The waiters are all very rude (especially if you are not Chinese and don't speak their language- this was very obvious). After being brought the wrong order, they huffed and puffed, took it away, and dropped the correct bowl down on the table with force and walked away briskly. Very high prices for tiny portions.
We came to this restaurant at 10:10pm with tire and hungry, willing to find a warm place to have a delicious dinner. However, the waiter saw us coming, he came to the door and started closing the door!!! Horrible, horrible, this is the worst service I have ever seen. The restaurant close at 23:00, but they rejected their customers 50 minutes ahead. The waiter didn't answer our questions and even didn't look at us. He just seriously closed the door and treated us like air. Horrible, horrible, I want to tell everyone how horrible the service was and how we were treated. A warmly suggestion, if you have other choice, don't go to this restaurant!!
