Absolutely wonderful establishment. I came with my partner and we had two breakfasts (£20pp) with the food in the photo, fantastic quality, great tea and our server was so bubbly and helpful. Highly recommended and you'd be a fool to pass this place by. We will definitely be back for more!

Came here for a meal prior to Jazz Cafe evening show. A good selection on the menu. Food reasonably priced. Many tables full, added to a good atmosphere. I had what I think was the Laz Special. I could be wrong! Would definitely come back here if in Camden.

LAZ is a really special place and the food is in a different league from other Turkish restaurants - the glazed fig and goats cheese is a particular star among the meze. And the welcome there is genuine. We love it!

I just enjoyed a delicious kunefe at Laz Camden, the best Turkish and Mediterranean restaurant in Camden! With constantly refreshed tea, studying here in such a lovely atmosphere is a true pleasure. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Treat yourself to Turkish raki from their extensive bar – it’s the perfect way to indulge!

Going simply based on ambiance this restaurant looks and feels amazing, I have not rated here as yet so I won’t pretend to know about the quality of the food, but the look and feel of this place is lovely. I’ve been in here on several occasions and the feel is always the same so it’s one of the places I plan to sit and eat in. It’s situated only around a five minute walk from Camden station so it’s easy to get to, parking is possible just outside in paid bays. The inside is beautifully decorated and looks like a place your date would be impressed with for sure, my next mission is to try the food, it has a very impressive bar at the back of the restaurant and the cooking is done in the basement area. The staff are polite and friendly and one in particular has been there for years so you have degree of consistency. On this review it’s mainly photos of the venue as opposed to comments about the food so please let me know of your experience.

Pretty nice ambience on heart of Camden market. Restaurant in general is very nice and has flavorful dishes. You can find many traditional Turkish food. Dinner’s and night live music 🎶 sounds great. We really loved the Ali Nazik, Humus, Fig Goat cheese, bread. We took Trilice as desert and it was amazing. Ambiance can remind you lots of Childhood memories if you are Turkish 😍

Tasty, authentic and true Turkish food! Beautifully presented. The meat was cooked perfectly. Lovely restaurant and attentive staff who made us feel at home. LAZ in Camden is definitely worth a visit. In a nutshell, when dining here it’s the quality over quantity.

Went to Laz for my partners birthday and had an Absolutely amazing time. The food was delicious, the portions were great and the service was exceptionally outstanding. Thank you to the team that catered to our every need. The service was so fast considering it was full house. The live music was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend and we will be returning very soon.

A Hidden Gem in North London! We had an amazing experience at this Turkish restaurant on Friday! The atmosphere was warm and lively, with happy people and fantastic live music blending traditional and modern Turkish tunes. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic, and the service was top-notch—polite, attentive, and welcoming. If you’re looking for great Turkish cuisine with a vibrant yet cozy vibe, this place is a must-visit!

I love this place! It’s the first time I come here and I have to say it’s a bit different compared to other Turkish restaurants and also a bit expensive however worth every penny! The food was so delicious, the staff, the ambience there also was live music! We had such a beautiful evening I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to try authentic Turkish experience in London and I am sure I will go back again!!!

Incredible food! Accompanied by excellent service. Ayse, was our waitress who could not do enough for us. My family and I were spoiled for choice on cuisine. We attended on a busy Saturday afternoon, but service was quick. I cannot recommend highly enough.

I recently dined at Laz Camden and overall, the experience was pleasant. The food, while not extraordinary, was satisfying. What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by the attentive guy. He ensured our needs were met promptly and served us with utmost care. Would recommend for a decent meal and great service.

What a nice surprise. Authentic delicious food. Most of the people around us were turkish, I think that speaks volumes about the quality of the food. Fair prices.

I was on my way to catch my train from Euston. Stop here for breakfast. I am on a gluten and dairy free diet, they have changed their breakfast menu to meet my needs. Food was delicious and unlimited Turkish tea was a bonus. I will definitely go back..

Last minute decision to eat here. Excellent food. Very tasty (had lamb kofke) . Friendly staff - reasonably priced. Would definitely return next time I'm in town. Good selection of wines and local beers too.

Delicious turkish food in a lovely and elegant setting. Great for groups and dates. The hummus is delicious and the chicken shish is a must. The portions are big even for the appetisers like the cacik with yogurt, halloumi with fennel and the hummus with beetroots. The drink selection is also interesting! The teas are great and the desserts too

Awesome food and service. Chocolate brownie is different, but lovely. Has almond pieces and dense chocolate. Vanilla ice cream. Divine. Had the lamb dish also. So soft was the lamb. Succulent. Would definitely recommend and come again. Met a friend of mine before going to Koko

What an amazing small restaurant and the meat is juicy, well seasoned and tastes good!!! Very good, but it would be good if they gave free Turkish coffee after the meal. Proper traditional Turkish restaurant

Went here last minute on a busy Saturday night. The restaurant was able to accommodate us even though we did not have a booking. All the food was very tasty, and came out promptly. Really enjoyed the mix grill and the falafels, would definitely go back again.

Friend reserved space for her birthday here and it was a good vibe the entire evening. Food and service were great - there was also live music. Place itself is very cute and definitely gives off modern meyhane vibes.

Absolutely delicious food, fabulous wait staff and lovey environment. Highly recommend. On the menu this place has some unusal dishes that are absolutely delicious. We had the liver, goats cheese with figs and 4 cheese pastry. Stunning flavours and textures. For mains we ordered the Kofte and Chick Shish - both with tremendous flavour - even the rice was delicious on its own! The staff are friendly, attentive (but not overly so), helpful and a real asset to the restaurant. Will 100% return to this place.

Located in the heart of Camden, among the profusion of Mondial cuisines on Parkway exists a Turkish delight of a restaurant. The laid back vibe is complimented by a choice of indoor or outdoor seating upon entry. I went on a Sunday with friends from Brazil who have a penchant for lamb dishes, and the restaurant did not disappoint. There are a plethora of lamb dishes available, with the lamb chops top choice. I myself preferred the chicken shish which was charred to perfection. The portions were a generous size with salad and rice to compliment. The restaurant also offers decent seafood choices with the prawns offering decent flavour. The price of around £20 for a main course was very reasonable given the location. Only disappointment were the fries which tasted like McCain's that have been left too long in the freezer then cooked. The desert was my favourite part of the meal, with Triliçe a definite choice. The staff were pleasant and courteous and looked after us well, answered every request without hesitation even though it was late and we were the last to leave. I doubt I'd make the trip just to eat here, but you are in the Camden area and fancy a Turkish, I'd recommend.

We went on a Friday night , found a parking space nearby. There are a few steps to get in. There did not seem to be any way for a wheelchair to get in. We were seated at the rear of the restaurant which seemed to be the main area. The tables were a bit close together, but there was enough space to pass through. The menu had a good choice to choose from. The service was good bearing in mind how busy it was, The food was good as well as the portion size. You were not given excessive amounts of salad or over loaded with bread. The live Turkish music was audible without you having to shout to have a conversation. The toilets were at the rear and up 3 steps. If you stay long enough, it becomes a much move lively place.People joined in with the singi g and.started to dance to the live music which made it a much more enjoyable evening. The only real downside to the night was that you get an entertainment charge added to your bill. Which we did not expect. This added £10 per head to the total bill.on top of the service charge

Food The hot and cold mezze is brilliant; there's a real array of dishes to pick, choose and eat from, all served with lovely hot loafs. The drinks menu is extensive if you're an alcohol drinker, but for anyone who's non-alcoholic, the options are quite limited, which is a shame really. Also, no mocktails on offer. The main meal when it was served wasn't presented in the best manner; there was no salad to go with the meats or the fish, it was literally the main dish on a plate with either rice or bread - I've been to restaurants and enjoyed their lunchtime specials and they presented the dishes in such simple but yet exquisite ways, so definitely some improvement here (if the owner is reading). Having said that, I've never had such beautifully cooked lamb in such a long time (!) I didn't even had to ask how I wanted it cooked and it was done to perfection (medium rare), soft, tender and moist - brilliant. Service Service was very good, staff were attentive, helpful. Some of the staff weren't very 'talkative', there wasn't any "small talk" if you get what I'm trying to say, and I always think that helps to build the rapport and service between you (the customer) and waiter; it helps to break you into the atmosphere and build you into it. Atmosphere For a small little venue, they've managed to really maximise on the space - it's brilliant; very cosy and warm. Up front is room for live performances. The general decor is relaxed, almost bohemian/chic if you will - it works. Definitely worth visiting if you're in Camden Town...

The team at Laz were friendly, attentive and provided us with great service. Food was well presented and tasted really good! Portion sizes were a little smaller then we were used to, but probably reflected a London tourist hot spot. Nonetheless we came away stuffed, satisfied and would definitely go back next time we are in the area.

The food was fine. The quantities were great and the chicken casserole was amazing. The rice however was slightly undercooked in both my plate and my wife's. They brought the food very quickly though which was awesome and the staff was very friendly.

We came for the mezzes, and credit where it’s due — they’re excellent. The strained yoghurt is so good it should have its own fan club. Babagannoush, calamari, and atom (for those who enjoy flirting with self-inflicted spice injuries) are all worth coming back for. The live guitar and percussion duo? Genuinely talented and fun. Atmosphere? Stylish and vibrant without feeling chaotic. Service? Fast and attentive — no issues there. And then… the bill. I spot a mysterious £20 “misc” charge. When I ask, they casually drop the bomb: “Oh, that’s £10 per person for the music.” Surprise! Apparently, you pay service charge and a hidden cover charge for music you didn’t know you were paying for. No mention on the website, no mention during booking — just a little end-of-night ambush. I argued it, refused to pay it, and honestly, the fact they even tried felt like a cheap party trick from the “How to Annoy Your Customers” handbook. Tables are also tiny, and the platters are large enough to qualify as landmasses, so if you enjoy juggling dishes like a Cirque du Soleil performer, you’ll love it. Overall: a modern meyhane with great food, a nice vibe, and a side hustle in surprise fees. Go for the mezzes, stay for the music — but keep your wallet on guard duty.

Laz Camden offers a number of delightful dishes which suggests that this Turkish restaurant certainly has potential. It's apparent though that some of the dishes we had were a little underwhelming. There's no denying, however, that Laz Camden is attempting, through both its food and decor, to elevate Turkish cuisine above the ordinary and, thus, stand out from the crowd. Menu Recommendation Drink - Raspberry Mojito Starter - Pastirma Main - Fener Baligi Dessert - Tirilice

Not for everyone’s taste. If you’re planning a Saturday night out for drinks and food with friends, keep in mind there’s live music — and it’s loud. The band was talented and played for about 4 hours (respect for that), but the volume made it nearly impossible to have a conversation. Even the waitress advised us to order before the music started. If you’re looking to dance and drink, this could be a fun spot. But if your plan is to enjoy a meal and chat, it’s probably not the best choice. The food was okay, but for the prices charged, we expected better. The chicken shish and lamb chops were both overcooked and dry. On the positive side, the mezes were tasty — I’d recommend sticking to those. Overall, prices felt steep for the experience. We ended up paying £80 per person, including service and music charges.

We visited Laz in Camden and, at first, everything seemed lovely. The restaurant itself is small, warm, and very welcoming. The environment feels cosy and inviting, the mezes and sides were delicious, the drinks were great, and the live music was okay — it added a nice atmosphere to the evening. However, our experience was unfortunately spoiled by the service. The older waiter kept coming back and forth to our table, repeatedly trying to push us to order more food even though we already had plenty of mezes and sides. He told us that if we didn’t order mains, we would be charged £50 per person — something that wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the menu or by anyone else. In the end, they didn’t actually charge us that amount, so it was clearly false information used to pressure us into ordering more. This made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, and we decided to leave. It’s a shame, because the food and atmosphere were both really nice, but the service left a very negative impression.

B
Birce Sipahioğlu

we all ordered meat dishes , neither of them were cooked properly, there was no rice or bulgur on the plate as it was mentioned on the menu they charge £10 per person for live music when its the weekend which made no sense since we paid 15% service charge they took our mezes away without even asking when we wanted to order some tea they said they dont have any left? we visited this place 3 times as a group and each visit was different disappointment

S
S L

My experience at Laz in Camden was extremely disappointing. The service felt rushed and dismissive, which unfortunately set the tone for the night. We were repeatedly interrupted, with staff reaching across the table to fetch items without consideration. We felt rushed and pressured to leave within two hours, rather than being allowed to relax and enjoy our time. This lack of basic hospitality and attentiveness was appalling. Overall, the inconsiderate service overshadowed the entire experience and fell well below expectations.

A

a bit pretentious food, meaning their moto seem to be less is more. Portion size is small compared to the price charged, however in fairness it taste good, however nothing outstanding. Have had similar turkish food in London for less!!

There are many amazing food spots in Camden - Laz is unfortunately not one of them. Maybe I am alone in thinking this, but when I see an item on the menu that's a mixed grill for £26.95, I'm expecting a good portion. What arrived on our table was absolutely abysmal. The chicken wings were positively anaemic and I've never seen a mixed grill so stingy - I counted three cubes of chicken and two lamb. No kofte in sight despite it being listed on the menu. Extremely overpriced for what you get, I'd strongly suggest going elsewhere to get your fix for Turkish cuisine

A
Anglo “AG” Naro

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with Laz in Camden was so unnecessarily stressful that I feel people should be aware. If you’re looking to go out for dinner and actually enjoy your evening, this is not the place to rely on. They have an online booking system that’s supposed to make things simple, but it clearly doesn’t work smoothly. I called ahead to let them know I was running slightly late — nothing major — and instead of a bit of understanding, I was met with rudeness. Not just from one person. Not two. Three different staff members spoke to me in an incredibly rude, dismissive manner. It felt like they were going out of their way to make the situation worse. By the end of the call, my evening was completely ruined. A restaurant should make guests feel welcome, or at the very least, treat them with basic respect. Unfortunately, that was nowhere to be found here. Based on my experience, I won’t be returning — and I can’t recommend them to anyone who wants their night out to be enjoyable rather than stressful. If you'd like, I can tailor it for Google, TripAdvisor, Facebook, or in a more humorous, sharper, or more formal tone.

I'm genuinely baffled by the positive reviews this place has received. My experience was shockingly bad from start to finish. Upon arrival, we weren't greeted, and the manager, an older gentleman with white hair, had an immediately hostile attitude. Despite having a significant number of staff on hand, getting anyone's attention to take our order was a struggle. I had to ask multiple times, and even then, service was slow and dismissive. The only saving grace was that the food arrived relatively quickly. However, the manager then proceeded to rush us through our meal. He took our plates before we were finished and was incredibly rude when I asked him to leave our drinks. He seemed eager to get us out the door, even though the restaurant was nearly empty and nowhere near closing time. The rudeness continued when it came to paying the bill. The service was appalling across the board. The staff seemed awkward and uninterested. No one asked how our meal was, offered additional drinks, or seemed to care about the customer experience. I paid a service charge for service that was anything but. I would not recommend this place.

First time and i wish i didn’t. The food was terrible. Lamb shish was burnt, chicken shish was dry, no seasoning and no sauce to go with it. How can you run out of rice?? No organising at all. The starters cold and hot not great at all. Expensive, not worth the money at all. No Atmosphere. Only good side of it the waiters were nice. I rate it 3/10.
