As the first customers to try out the Sunday Roast, I have to say that is probably the Best & Biggest roast in Brixton. Lovely staff & Great Tunes. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ But don’t tell anyone otherwise I won’t be able to get a seat. 😉 Keith x

Yesterday we celebrated the Christmas party with my colleagues. The place was amazing...Beautiful, elegant and cosy inside. The DJ played fantastic music. I had so much fun... I danced while I ate... I loved the music. The food was very good and very fresh... The cocktails at the bar wow ....All the staff worked so hard, including the people working in the kitchen. Nice team. I can't wait to come back . Thank you

Amazing visit! Fantastic service from Aaliyah I think her name is. Sweet girl, working super hard and creating the best vibe. Only thing I would work on it the bar space there was nowhere to continue after dinner so we had to leave and go elsewhere. Would have been happy to stay if situation was different.

I had my birthday here and had an absolutely brilliant time. The team were so helpful from the moment I called to book in through to the night of my birthday. The general manager and his team (Francis) were fantastic! They made sure everyone on my table had what they needed and also made some last minute adjustments. The DJ was fantastic and made me and the other birthday girls feel fantastic. Music, food, atmosphere, service...everything was fantastic! Thank you OSR!

Such a good spot for a large group! Staff were flexible, understanding and just a vibe all round. They catered to the group’s needs when they arose and the communication during and even prior to the event was amazing! Thank you for ensuring my brother had a great night on his 18th birthday. Sim, Tia, the bartender and the chefs were incredible thanks again!

I stumbled across this place while looking for somewhere to eat and have cocktails. This place is an absolute beauty…. The food was nice, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was a whole vibe… There was a waitress in particular that was phenomenal… Tia was Polite, attentive, helpful, friendly and on a whole a lovely person. I will definitely be back.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere set the tone — warm lighting, tasteful decor, and just the right blend of music made the space feel both vibrant and cozy. The food is very nice and flavoursome. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, bursting with flavor and beautifully plated. Fresh ingredients, balanced flavors, and generous portions — they really deliver on quality. The drinks are made with love and have interesting names that reflect the bars ethos. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. The staff Olupaps and Simz were attentive without being overbearing, genuinely friendly, and clearly passionate about the food and guest experience. They made us feel welcome and taken care of the entire time.

Had a great time here with the girls for drinks and food. I ordered suya which came slightly cold but tasted good. Would definitely come again though, drinks and vibes were 10/10!

I celebrated my birthday here with my family and friends, and the vibes were amazing! The staff were friendly, hospitable and very polite. A huge shout out to Samia and Jessica who really looked after us! The DJ played fantastic music and really made a huge fuss over me being the birthday girl! We were a huge party and the kitchen staff worked really hard to ensure everything was brought out together! The cocktails at the bar were delicious! I recommend the rum punch! Thanks again for making me feel very special!

Loved every bit... (more comfortable chairs possibly to slouch or lean while watchingthe movie) this aside.. every thing was spot on. The food, music, drinks , movie, ambiance really nice.

Francis was an excellent server who helped us to make good food choices (whilst being mindful of my allergies). Because of him, we had an even better experience. OSR was deffo a vibe 🎉

A very lovely bar with great service and good food. I visited on a movie night, and the staff were more than happy to help throughout. Customer service was excellent. The team handled themselves professionally, especially in a situation where one customer was being extremely rude and trying to cause a disturbance — it was dealt with calmly and properly, which says a lot about the staff. Lovely staff, lovely food, lovely atmosphere. I’d definitely revisit again. A big win for Brixton.

My second visit to this bar. I like the atmosphere here is nice. I went to Thursday movie night to see Training Day. Food was good and tasty could have served more Wings only got 3. The chairs are so uncomfortable 😫 movie was 2hrs. The sound was way too loud for the movie, DJ was great. Cocktails were good.

Came for the weekly Thursday movie night. Perfect atmosphere for a date night or social gathering. Classic 80s and 90s movies vibes. 241 cocktails all night (signature cocktails not included) Food and starters all good and reasonably priced. Great portion sizes. Only criticism was the long wait for starters and mains. However management acknowledged this and gave us a signature rum punch each on the house. Highly recommend, awesome experience, Plus free popcorn and sweets

Came for a birthday dinner so 2hours time slot. Cocktails were nice and food was ok - Mac and cheese was lovely. You pay for drink at the bar and there can be a queue. Loved the vibe with RnB playing throughout. Service was friendly. However you have to pre-order food for large groups and you can’t add any extras/sides on the day. Also they don’t do takeaway.

This bar and restaurant is a fantastic venue with a comfortable size. The service includes a delightful snack, and it boasts a fully licensed bar. However, be aware that parking can be quite challenging and limited.

Good food and good vibes. Went for flix and fries and thought it was a lovely new experience and would go again. Music was a nice blend of RnB and good intro to the night. Staff were lovely and friendly and made sure you got what you needed although a tad slow. But would defo recommend and go back

OSR - it is a good spot! The place had a welcoming vibe, but it was also a place where you could have great Nigerian/Caribbean food. We really liked the jerk. The host could not do enough but make sure your food and drinks were flowing - thank you Olu . The two bouncers, were a pleasure to interact with, along with the friendly staff. The DJ playing while eating was a nice touch . Later it turned into a proper party , loved the music!! We will be back again!!

Great place to enjoy old school tunes, DJ played a great selection. Friendly atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed a nostalgic evening. The food was amazing, cocktails 241 before 9pm. Love the film and fries concept. Will be returning for this and other events. Highly recommend.

Food was nice, but it was very sweet for a non-dessert meal. Also, couldn’t see my food due to lights being dimmed down so couldn’t finish food But food was decent. However, the person who served our food, Francis was lovely and attentive. Thanks, Francis!

I went to Ore Bar for a joint birthday dinner and dance, but unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. Despite submitting our pre-orders days in advance, many of our meals were either mixed up or forgotten entirely. To make matters worse, both birthday girls received their meals last — by which time we were expecting to have finished dinner and started dancing. Some guests had already eaten, others were still waiting, and a few (myself included) had lost their appetite. Thankfully, Simeon, the manager, handled the situation with great professionalism. He kindly offered complimentary drinks, a birthday dessert, and a discount on our meals. He was understanding, efficient, and friendly, even with around ten of us raising complaints. Thank you, Simeon, for your support and for putting smiles back on the birthday girls’ faces — we truly appreciated it. Despite the hiccups, I really loved the venue’s urban, old-school décor, which was nostalgic and brought back wonderful memories of my youth. And when the food finally arrived, it was delicious — well-seasoned, beautifully presented, and worth the wait.

Popped into this venue located on Atlantic Road Brixton following a day out in London sight seeing with friends for the weekend. Nice atmosphere and decor, with good background music. Great choice of cocktails, somewhat reasonably priced. VERY Disappointing choice of vegetarian/ Vegan options on the food menu, caters more for meat eaters. Overall, a nice little spot to have a cocktail and a bite to eat but I would recommend management add more vegetarian and vegan options to the menu - currently only 1 starter and 1 main option available :(

I went to OSR last night and honestly, the vibe was amazing. The music was 10/10, the crowd was great, and the whole place had a warm, family-run energy that I really loved. The cocktails were also a solid 10/10 — every single one I tried was on point. Now… the food and service are where things slipped. We were left for 30 minutes before anyone even took our drinks order. Once our waiter arrived, it felt like the staff weren’t fully trained or confident. I asked for a starter 15 minutes after ordering my main, and instead of simply checking, I was basically talked out of it because “it wouldn’t come out with the main.” At least try — let the customer decide! The biggest disappointment was being denied dessert by one waiter because “table service was over”… even though table service continued until 10pm and we asked at 8:30. Another waiter later confirmed we could order — especially when the mac & cheese wasn’t great and I wanted something else. It just felt confusing and inconsistent. As for the food: it wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t great either. Just okay. But let me be very clear: the vibe alone is enough for me to come back for drinks — it’s genuinely a great night out spot. If it was for food only… I wouldn’t return. And speaking as a Black person myself: we have to do better with customer service in our own establishments. Please don’t let personal opinions or assumptions show — just meet customers where they are and give them the experience they’re paying for. We can’t fall into the stereotype of the typical “Caribbean takeaway shop” energy. The vibe is too good here to let the service slip. Room for improvement, but huge potential. I’ll be back — for drinks!

The food is delicious… if you don’t mind waiting an hour to receive it. There’s not enough staff so even getting a drink is difficult. Also, if you order appetizers as your main… no you didn’t. The food comes out when it wants to… even if you request it all comes out at once. The atmosphere is amazing but the service is ridiculous.

I got oxtail with rice. It was 95% juice and bone, 5% meat. I wanted to send it back but I don't want the chef or staff to spit in my food so I just dealt with what I had. Plus their was no taste to it, pretty shocking they give this to customers. The service was really good, plus enjoyed the music and the look of the place

You’re asked to pre order your food just to be told there was a mix up in the kitchen and half the orders take long to come. Good music but too loud to have conversations during dinner. When you arrive there’s no one there to direct you to your table for ages. “Buffalo wings” are more like sweet and sour Chinese wings. Jerk wings burnt and flavourless. Jerk chicken smells of nothing and the tiny coleslaw that comes with is nothing to speak of. Overall just an ok experience, would not recommend or return

Hate to do this but my friends and I didn't have a great experience here today 🤦🏾‍♀️. One of the girls serving us had a really bad attitude, I believe her name was Samia because that's what was written on the receipt.... the other waitress was nice tho, her name was Tia. The food took ages to come but was okay, the Dj could've been better and overall service was very poor. There should always be at least 1 waitress on the floor at all times... seems like they might be understaffed.

Do not book here for a birthday or group reservation. The staff are not as attentive as they could be given that you are catering to a large number of people. They make it seem like they are doing you a favor by being at their restaurant, which I find rather odd. The hospitality is very poor but I guess you get what you pay for so they believe the level of service is justified. The manager in particular is has a very nasty attitude and will take 0 accountability if you happen to make a complaint about the food. Do not order the prawns as they do not clean them. I don’t understand how I can show you a picture of what was served to me which I did not eat and your huffing and puffing in front of my face and telling them ‘well you still need to pay for it’ not even an apology. If you hate your job just say that. But you’re very unprofessional and will intentionally go out of your way to make a customers experience really distasteful.

I really don’t like to leave bad reviews, but the manager needs to learn how to deal with people properly! Know how to listen and provide a good service! Conflict and de escalation training (recommended) being rude and having a sour expression isn’t welcoming and spoils the vibe for everyone. Like do you even want customers? That was a rhetorical question! Anyway it’s a No for me! A reply to the reply, Clearly you have to cover up bad behaviour/service and not take accountability, there was no rudeness until she was touched and what your calling rudeness is “Don’t touch me” the hostility was from the manager! Bar staff said she could sit there until the reservation time. Clearly bad communication between your team, but it is what it is, you can upload the CCTV and people can judge for themselves! I was a witness and so were several others, I don’t condone bad behaviour and on this occasion it was from your manager! Treat people with respect and you will receive that back. I hope she learns to “manage” situations better. Good luck for the future!

The service was appalling! When people seating next to me complained about the food taking two hours to arrive they were told by the guy "I am not the chef" the food isn't worth it and noting tastes carribean. They get the bills wrong, give wrong receipt to the wrong person. Do not go otherwise you will be threatened to be beaten why the waiter, by the short black girl or have bottle broken on your head by a black guy with blood stain on his eyes, who are meant to be the staff? Forced to pay for what you didn't consume because you're being threatened to be harmed. If these things happen report them to the police because people who behave like this should be in the society talk of less work in service industry.

We visited this evening as a group to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Shortly after arriving, I went to the bar and spent around £30 on a couple of drinks. By the time I returned, one of my friends had been touched inappropriately and spoken to incredibly rudely by the manager and was asked to leave; completely unprovoked and unjustified. The way the situation was handled was not only unprofessional but unnecessarily aggressive. The entire group ended up having to leave, and we didn’t even get the chance to enjoy our drinks or finish our food. What should have been a fun and celebratory evening was completely ruined and a waste of money. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to others based on how poorly we were treated. Just to clarify from your response. Thanks for responding, but I stand by my original review. Clearly the CCTV wasn’t reviewed properly. The issue wasn’t timing, it was the rude and uncalled-for way your manager spoke to a member of our group, which led to her being asked to leave without explanation. By the time I returned from buying drinks, the evening was already ruined. To suggest we were aggressive or abusive is simply false. It’s disappointing that instead of acknowledging this, you’ve chosen to deflect and make inaccurate claims about your customers.

I recently visited this venue for the first time, and I have to say, the staff was absolutely lovely! Unfortunately, the service fell short of expectations. I found myself needing to get up multiple times just to track down the waitress. On a positive note, the drinks were fantastic, and the overall atmosphere of the place was wonderful. However, I was disappointed by the lack of attentiveness from the waitstaff. As someone who has worked in the industry, I can’t help but feel that they could have done a better job of checking in on customers. Even when I pressed the buzzer they provided—five times!—no one came to follow up. Throughout the movie, I had to keep rising from my seat to get the waitress's attention, which definitely put a damper on the experience. I really hope they take this feedback to heart because it would be great to see improvements in service levels. After all, a little more attention can go a long way in turning first-time visitors into loyal customers!
