The best roast dinner I have had in many years. Their new roast dinner concept was absolutely stunning. We enjoyed a fantastic selection of meat, served with gravy, horseradish sauce, bread sauce, amazing apple sauce and inventively cooked and prepared vegetables. The Yorkshire puddings were so good I’ve gave them a capital Y. The children enjoyed a butter, chicken curry, and the kids menu was absolutely brilliant and very reasonable. Seriously a faultless lunch, keenly priced for the quality with fantastic service and all followed up with a signature sticky toffee pudding. We rolled home all very satisfied thank you everyone there.
My first time at this celebrity eaterie, I honestly have to say I was really blown away by the food and the seamless way the wait staff including the lovely Eric who was our server all worked in synchronicity and made it seem effortless 👌 My starter of a burrata was exceptional, Steaks cooked to perfection with a bone marrow and shallot sauce. And the perfect sticky toffee pudding was so light and full of flavour. Definitely worth every penny. Will definitely be back.
A first time visit for me. Absolutely blown away by the amazing food. Nothing short of perfection as it should be being Gordon Ramsay. Bread basket was provided along with butter, which tasted delicious. Drinks were a little pricey but it is what you expect from a world-class chef's restaurant. Fish & Chips was totally delicious, flaky fish and crisp batter along with exquisite mushy peas and tartare sauce. Atmosphere was great as it was quiet and the service was exemplary.
From the location, to the ambience, to the food, to the amazing staff, I couldn’t have been happier to dine here tonight. It was exactly what I needed and looking forward to coming back! Special shout out to Vlad and Iryna, who provided a world class service and were truly a delight to talk to. 😇
The service was excellent and the ambience was lively and inviting. The cocktails were top-notch, and I opted for the seasonal menu, which was a great deal. The truffle umami wings were a standout: flavorful and perfectly cooked. Unfortunately, the minute steak was a letdown. Despite being told it would be served pink, it arrived fully cooked, chewy, and tough. Even at a lower price point, there are better steak and chips options in London. Desserts were decent and satisfying. All in all, despite a few misses, we left happy and would return.
Absolutely wonderful experience once we got there. Unfortunately, we had trouble finding the restaurant, and when I called, they couldn’t direct me. Lovely server Nicole, who very kindly complimented my children’s behaviour was a delight! The food was beautiful too.
We had a wonderful time! The maitre d’ Anya was lovely and charming. Our waitress Joanna was super bubbly and attentive. The food was delicious and my porterhouse steak was 10/10! The icing on the cake was seeing Gordon Ramsey dining was with his family. The perfect endorsement. We will definitely be back.
Took my Sister for lunch at Gordon Ramsay Bread Street Kitchen & Bar for her birthday. Staff very professional and friendly. Food excellent, mocktails absolutely lush Would recommend to others to come Will definitely be back Thank you 😊
Wonderful food and great service by our waitress Nicole! The beef Wellington was amazing! Would definitely go back again!
The best thing about this restaurant? Our waiter, Milan! From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, kind, and incredibly friendly. He patiently waited as we decided on our drinks and food and even went the extra mile to let us know when he was going on his break, ensuring a smooth handover for our bill. Also, he bought out a plate with an ice cream ball on a plate with a candle and happy birthday written on it - Usually this is something you’d have to ask for a restaurant, But as I mentioned it being my friend’s birthday in passing during conversation, this prompted him to do this very kind gesture for her. Milan made my friend’s birthday feel extra special, and we truly appreciated his exceptional service. As for the food—spectacular! We’d definitely visit again. Highly recommend the three-course menu—the wings and flat iron steak were superb. I also had the lemon mocktail, which was absolutely amazing. A fantastic experience overall!
My friend booked this restaurant to celebrate her birthday. The place is easy to find, a few minutes walk from the station. I can see this place is packed and busy with customers. Restaurants allow us to put a little bit of setup in a goody bag for the b'day. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. Really sorry if our group is a bit loud and noisy. Lots of pictures taken. Overall everyone said they are having a good time and happy with the food and service.
Came here as we had a voucher given to us as a gift. We had the beef Wellington experience and it did not disappoint. The restaurant decor is very classy but without being too formal. Staff are so polite, friendly and quick to answer your requests. Food was amazing and it was the best food I've eaten in a long time! Everything stayed hot, tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be coming back.
I’ve had the best experience there. The staff was so nice and welcoming and the food was incredibly DELICIOUS!! Many thanks to Martina, Vlad and Luca! I will definitely come again!
Service was amazing, I didn't like starter I had picked for myself and the waitress subbed it for a dessert after my main, shows how much they put they customers first. The food also looks insane. Will definitely be returning.
I was fortunate enough to receive a Virgin Gift Experience this Christmas. The voucher was for the Lift 109 experience and a 2-hour cocktail-making session at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. We chose the restaurant in Battersea Power Station as we hoped to combine the two experiences. Booking through Virgin and staff at the Bread Street Kitchen was really easy. We booked Loft 109 for 3.30pm and the cocktail-making session for 6.30pm. We realised, after Lift 109, that we then had three hours to kill so nipped into the Bread Street Restaurant to see if there was any chance to move our session to a little earlier; expecting the answer to be “no”, especially as it was due to our mistake in leaving a large gap between experiences. The Manager was incredibly kind and accommodating and suggested we come back between 4.30pm and 5pm. We explored Battersea Power Station then returned just before 5pm to be warmly welcomed and taken to the bar. Murtaza was our mixologist and he was wonderful! He was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and informative. Over the course of the experience we made a number of cocktails and learned a great deal about spirits and classic/modern cocktails. We were even able to make our own cocktails. My partner made a Porn Star Martini and I made an Espresso Martini. No question was too silly to ask Murtaza. He looked after us very well! The hot food platter was lovely, and helped us to soak up the alcohol!! We had spicy fried cauliflower, tamarind spiced chicken wings and spicy tuna tartare. All were delicious! Murtaza was very generous with his time and expertise and we learned so much from him, we hope to impress future party guests with our own creations based on his recipes! We loved the relaxed nature of the bar area so stayed a little longer to enjoy cocktails (delicious Golden Penicillin and a Bloody Mary) and fries, which we purchased to help soak up the spirits before making our way home on the Uber boat. All in all we were in the restaurant for over 3 hours, with the experience being around 2 hours. The whole experience was marvellous and we hope to return at some point.
Manager Martina and Irina were super cute, specially thanks to Martina. Great service from Alex. Amazing desserts from chefs! Definitely I will come back.
We had a great day at Battersea and ate at Bread Street Kitchen & Bar. Clara, our host was lovely and made our stay really enjoyable. We had some fish and burgers and deserts. Everything was really delicious. It is definitely worth visiting and having a taste. 👍
We’ve visited four times now, and it honestly surprises us that we’re only just leaving a review but that probably says everything about how much we love this place. Battersea Power Station has become our absolute favourite spot to meet with family. Every time we gather here, it feels special. The atmosphere is always lively yet relaxed, making it perfect for spending quality time together. The food has consistently been top quality on every visit beautifully presented, full of flavour, and always leaving us impressed. It’s rare to find somewhere that maintains such a high standard time after time, but this place truly does. A very special mention has to go to Alex, whose service made us feel like true VIP guests. He looked after us so attentively and warmly, making sure everything was perfect and that we felt completely welcome. His professionalism and friendly approach genuinely elevated our experience and made each visit even more memorable. This isn’t just somewhere we go to eat it’s become part of our family traditions. We’ll definitely be back again and again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for great food, wonderful atmosphere, and service that makes you feel truly special.
We had the most amazing Valentine’s Day celebrating with our family! ❤️ It was truly a special and unforgettable experience filled with love, laughter, and beautiful memories. A huge, heartfelt thank you to Alex for making everything so perfect. From the warm atmosphere to the thoughtful details, everything was absolutely wonderful. You went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and cared for, and it truly showed. We enjoyed every single moment, the vibe was fantastic, the service was outstanding, and everything simply WOWed us! It was the perfect way to celebrate together as a family. Thank you again, Alex, for making our Valentine’s Day so special. We can’t wait to come back! 🌹✨
Just moved to Battersea and popped in here to try the Sunday roast after hearing so many celebrities rave about it and wow, it absolutely lives up to the hype. Hands down one of the best roasts in London! The food was incredible, but what really made it special was the service from Alex, who truly knows how to make every dish feel extra special. Friendly, attentive, and passionate it made the whole experience even better. Definitely found my new favourite local spot!
BSK — 5 stars. A beautifully elegant restaurant with exceptionally warm and welcoming staff. The wine selection is outstanding, thoughtfully curated, and pairs wonderfully with the dishes. The food is both delicious and creatively presented — refined, interesting, and full of flavour. I’ve visited this restaurant multiple times and can wholeheartedly recommend it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. A truly memorable dining experience every time. Very special thanks to our sever Alex who made our evening
We had the most wonderful Sunday enjoying a truly exceptional roast at Ramsey Restaurant. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere was relaxed yet elegant, making it the perfect setting for a leisurely Sunday afternoon. The Sunday roast itself was absolutely outstanding beautifully cooked, generously portioned, and full of rich, comforting flavours. Every element on the plate was prepared to perfection, from the tender meat to the crisp roast potatoes and delicious accompaniments. You could really taste the care and quality in every bite. It wasn’t just a meal; it was a full experience that we savoured from start to finish. A very special thank you to Alex, who looked after us so wonderfully throughout our visit. He was attentive, friendly, and genuinely thoughtful, making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of at all times. His warm personality and impeccable service truly elevated our afternoon and made us feel valued and welcome. We left feeling happy, satisfied, and already looking forward to our next visit. What a lovely way to spend a Sunday — a fantastic meal, excellent service, and a memorable experience all around. Highly recommended!
We rebooked this restaurant for our date night. The service was exceptional with the waiter understanding our sense of humour. The only negative I would add (but not subtract a star for) is that they pour the wine for you. On a busy night, you could wait for a top up for you wine which may can annoy you if you’re eating food without your wine. The food is expensive and I don’t believe is worth the price. My partner had the fish and chips which he stated was one of the best f&c he has had. I had the smash burger with fries but it was not something out of this world. Quite average and rather disappointing as I thought it would be something that melts in your mouth for £25. The wine was £35 and unfortunately tasted like a bland £10 wine you may get from Sainsbury’s. For £35 I would believe it wouldn’t taste like a cheap wine but unfortunately it did. Whilst we did not complain, I would do your research before ordering something with a mark up of 250%. The overall rating of 4 stars was due to the waiter being very accommodating and comedic. There were a lot of babies and families due to children eating free during weekdays, so please bear that in mind when dining in.
I had ordered from Ramsey Burger before, and it was very ordinary — felt like one of those burgers made for kids, with nothing special about the taste. This time, I ordered fish and chips and the sticky chocolate toffee dessert. Honestly, I didn’t like the dessert; it was kind of strange. However, the fish and chips were decent for a delivery order — I actually enjoyed eating them. In summary, this isn’t a place worth ordering from or visiting specifically; it’s just an average spot with ordinary food. Not bad, but nothing special either, in my opinion.
I passed by this place while touring London and decided to take a chance, all though it seemed on the expensive side. It was a little bit packed so some 30 minute waiting time was required, this was fine. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and has a good atmosphere. The service was also mostly fine too. On the food side we ordered their 3 course menu and I think the food was largely above average but I was not wowed at all, and certainly not for the price (too expensive). I had gone just the day before to another restaurant where I paid 1/3 of the price for much better food and experience (Maxwells Bar and Grill if you want to know). For this above average but not great food experience I am deducting one star.
We order Beef Wellington and I know that it said on the menu that it woulf take about 40 minutes to cook, I don’t mind that, vut after near 50 minute we got our Beef Wellington, they put it down on the table, me and my family start taking photos, before we dig in, this waiter came and said “sorry this is not for you guys” and took it away as he serve the wrong table, then we have to wait another 10 minutes to get out food. Me and mu family were not happy about this at all, but we are too shine to ask the waiter to remove service charge. Overall the food were amazing, just the service that disappointed me.
We decided to stop here for lunch as we've been wanting to go for a Gordon Ramsey restaurant for a while. We went for the 3 course lunch menu which was quite tasty. The beer battered cod was perfectly done, the cauliflower veloute was a bit bland, husband steak was on the tougher side but chips were beautifully done, my poached seabass lacked flavour. On the other hand, the apple crumble with vanilla ice cream was delicious. I think next time we'll try his signature burger (saw lots of people ordering it) or other dishes from the main menu.
We visited during the Christmas period, which is understandably one of the busiest times of the year, and this context is important when assessing the experience fairly. The atmosphere was warm and festive, and the service was genuinely very good, attentive, professional and well organised despite the significant pressure on the team. This was one of the strongest aspects of the visit. However, the noise levels were too high, making conversation difficult and detracting from what should have been a relaxed dining experience. In addition, the food, while competently presented, was not especially memorable. In particular, the steak was disappointing, being noticeably difficult to cut and chew. However, to the restaurant’s credit, this was handled professionally and the item was promptly deducted from the bill without any dispute. With improved acoustic management and more consistent food quality, this could easily be a five-star venue. As it stands, it remains a solid restaurant with excellent service that we would be happy to revisit outside the peak Christmas rush.
The server started out amazing then half way through a different one was assigned to our table. This second server was not the best…..started clearing the table of plates whilst one of the party was still eating!! I find this rude and she was oblivious to what she was doing! She then offered the dessert menu …again whilst someone was still eating the main course and then didn’t even bother to bring them to us! Wanted to love the place and the setting was lovely, comfortable seating, tables not too close together but the service really let it down on this occasion. It was pricy but to be expected from a Gordon Ramsey affiliated restaurant. I will say that the Poke bowl was to die for! And would return just have this dish again.
Had lunch here today with a friend. Service was fine but otherwise I am not sure what Gordon Ramsey’s name brings to the establishment because the food was nothing special. Nothing was bad, just that nothing was standout either. It was all distinctly average but with an above average price tag. If you are expecting something special because of the name on the door, based on today’s experience you’ll be disappointed.
My wife, daughter, and I came in for lunch at Gordon Ramsay Bread Street Kitchen. We sat down and asked for water right away, but it never arrived. Our drinks were later taken, and we asked again. It took four requests before we were finally served water, and when it came, the server did not make eye contact or acknowledge our thanks. We were a bit indecisive when ordering, and the waitress taking our order seemed noticeably impatient with us. Not long after, she stopped serving our table altogether, and another waitress took over without any explanation. The food itself was excellent, and we really enjoyed our meals. However, the service did not match the standard one would expect from a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. Our empty plates sat for about ten minutes before being cleared, and it took quite some time to get attention to place a takeout order. The service charge was also added to our takeaway items but we didn’t notice until we left. To add, there was no soap in the bathroom, which is disappointing for a restaurant of this level. The food was very good, but the overall service felt inattentive and disorganized.
Foods are pretty bad in this place to be honest. The only decent dish we had was the fish and chips. The meat of the rib is dry even there was quite a decent amount of sauce on it. The butter chicken curry, the chicken meat was also pretty dried and rough to eat, the naan bread was pretty horrible……..The gin & tonic was pretty good/ at least up to the standard…..service wise staff are neither attentive nor friendly…….
Mmm. My first irritation was that we had to sit with our coats piled up next to us. I asked for coat hooks - nope. I asked if we could put them on an empty accent seat - nope. I can’t do with hospitality being inhospitable; it pisses me off. So it soured my visit. Crass place.
It was my first time dining at this place and food did not disappoint, it was absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed it and food wise it’s definitely worth a visit. Beautiful interior too. The waiter was also really nice and friendly. I do however have issue with the temperature in the restaurant, it was rather cold, and the issue of doors not closing down properly every time someone entered and left caused an unpleasant draft. I believe the front of the house person should take care of this detail, but unfortunately she was on her phone all the time - and I don’t mean checking it from time to time. I mean the duration of my entire stay in the restaurant, with few breaks to go to some table etc. Didn’t even notice me when I entered at first, nor another guest later, because of the full focus on texting. I understand that we live in the digital world, and it’s normal to check the phone sometimes, but that was much more than that.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Disappointing food despite great setting We visited Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill as a family of five, and as long-time fans of Gordon Ramsay, we were really looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, the food left us feeling quite deflated. We ordered fish and chips, but the batter was oily and flat, lacking the lightness and crispness we expected. We also had a steak, which was cooked reasonably well, but the sauce served with it was gloopy and heavy, detracting from the dish rather than enhancing it. Overall, we found the quality of the food overrated for the price, and it didn’t feel like good value for money given the reputation of the brand. That said, the restaurant décor, atmosphere, and service were all excellent. The space is stylish, the setting at Battersea Power Station is impressive, and the staff were attentive and professional throughout. Sadly, while the experience looked great on the surface, the food itself didn’t live up to expectations — which was particularly disappointing given how much we wanted to love it
Disappointing! Such average food! I had never eaten at any of the famous Ramsay restaurants before, so when my mum and I stumbled upon Bread Street Kitchen & Bar in Battersea, we thought, let’s go for it! We entered through heavy red velvet curtains, and were told to wait half an hour for a seat, even though half the restaurant was empty. We waited 15 minutes at the bar and then were seated. Items on the menu range between £21 to a whopping £125 for two people for a beef wellington. Mum and I chose to stay on the cheaper side for lunch, opting for the Butter Chicken Curry and Saffron Rice for mum, and the Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips for myself. What a disappointment! My fish and chips tasted all right, but I’ve had much better. The batter was oily, and I could taste stale oil. The mushy peas was cold- not pleasant! Mums curry and rice literally tasted like a microwaveable meal! The portion was tiny. We have had much better curry and rice from Indian restaurants. I would have liked to have tried the beef wellington, but for £62.50 per person, that’s a bit of a joke! If it is just as average as the other menu items, I would be quite upset. Avoid this place. The decor and atmosphere inside is quite nice, but the food is not worth it. I don’t understand how chefs like Ramsay can get away with this! Daylight robbery! It is just a name. Why doesn’t he criticise his own food?
Unfortunately wasn't the greatest experience for my partner and I we have been to a quieter Ramsey place before which had lovely food. The staff and appearance of the place is nice but the food was less than mediocre. My supposedly medium rare burger was like rubber if the basics can't be done well I'm glad we didn't go for the Beef Wellington. Best part was probably the fries, they weren't anything special but they weren't soggy. Staff are friendly I personally didn't want to make a big deal out of the issue we had with the meal to the staff and on the day but for the price of our meal and the drinks it was disappointing.
Disappointing Experience at Gordon Ramsay Bread Street Kitchen – Style Over Service We visited Gordon Ramsay Bread Street Kitchen as part of a birthday gift experience combined with Lift 109. Unfortunately, the dining experience fell short of expectations. As it was part of a set experience, the menu was very limited (as shown in the picture). From the moment we arrived, the staff seemed disinterested and disengaged. The host barely spoke to us, simply walking us to our table without any real welcome or explanation. We ordered the prawn cocktail and Caesar salad to start, followed by a burger and fish & chips for our mains. For dessert, we chose tiramisu and sticky toffee pudding. While the food itself was of an acceptable standard, the service really let the experience down. Our drinks sat on the bar for at least 15 minutes before anyone brought them over, and we ended up waiting over 90 minutes in total — much of that time due to our desserts being completely forgotten. It felt like we were an afterthought throughout the entire meal. The only saving grace was that we didn’t pay for the full meal, just our drinks. However, based on the service alone, I wouldn’t consider returning — especially not if I were paying full price. There are far better places in London offering both good food and proper customer service.
A meal of 2 halves. I had the salmon starter which was good but my husband had prawn cocktail. His favourite dish and one he has all over the world so he expected this one to be special. It was extremely disappointing. Served very plainly with very little sauce which we expecting to be unchious and delicious. Honestly. The prawn cocktail in our local pub is much better in looks and taste. The young girl serving was very sweet but woefully undertrained, I asked her how much wine in an average bottle in comparison to the carafe, she smiled and said she had no idea. I then asked what the sauce with the sea bass was and she replied “I don’t know but it’s very yellow!” Seeing my blank expression she asked if I would like her to find out, which she did. I ordered it and it was very good. My husbands burger was a vast improvement on his starter but overall we went to celebrate. Very special day and left feeling quite disappointed wishing we had gone somewhere else.
I visited Gordon Ramsay’s Restaurant in Battersea and left feeling quite mixed about the whole experience. The ambience is lovely. The lighting is calm and the space feels inviting. You walk in expecting something a bit special. The issues start with the basics. • The staff looked stressed, rushed and on edge. • There were no condiments on any tables. • When I asked, I was handed a tiny Sarsen’s vinegar bottle. It felt out of place for a restaurant carrying Gordon Ramsay’s name. I ordered the fish and chips at £24.99. • The fish was slightly undercooked. • Chips were plentiful. • The mushy peas and tartar sauce were very limited. Overall, fine but nowhere near the price point. My son had the Idiot Burger at £26.99 and he enjoyed it, but the portion of chips was small. My brothers and sisters ordered the curry. It looked like something from Wetherspoons, down to the same serving dishes. Bland and lacking flavour. In summary: • Nice ambience • Stressed staff • Average food • Overpriced for what you get It was an okay visit but I wouldn’t return. If you go, be prepared that it’s not as impressive as the brand might suggest.
Disappointing! Please don’t waste your money! I visited the place for a second time on Saturday only because my friends wanted to try it and left more disappointed than the first time. The prices of the food are do not match the quality. You literally pay extra just because of the name. I ordered The Sandwich and got a stale tesco quality sesame bun with one slice of beef and 3 slices of gherkin for the price of £26!!!! My friends ordered fish and chips which was decent size but again, you can get better and cheaper one in the pub by the riverside. There was as well too much staff running around . We got asked “how was the food” 3 times in a space of 2min after the food arrived. Please do give people some time to try it. Definitely wont be returning back !
If you want Sunday Lunch after 4pm on Sunday forget it. the 4pm cut off is hidden in very small print at the bottom of the website. They don't even mention it on the menu they give you, it just say from 12 noon. Utterly disappointed as I had booked a table for 5.30pm. Anyway food was very very average, cost of wine is excessive, and the place was less than half filled. I am sure that says a lot. Mr Ramsey maybe a " tv celebrity" but if he focused on the actual people that eat at places his name over the door, it would be a much better experience.
Very disappointed with our meal. Family of four - we ordered from the Seasonal Special 2-course menu (£22 pp). For our starters we had butternut squash soup (excellent) and the cod bites (ok). However the mains were disappointing. Steaks were tough, stringy and not warm. Burger was ok but the bun was cold and had not been toasted. Sea bream was nicely cooked and tasted good, but was served with potatoes that were completely over-buttered. Service was slow, and we did ask for salt which never arrived. Overall, disappointing and the 'optional' 12.5% service charge really irritated us.
Sadly overrated Sunday lunch. Don’t order the beef you’ll need to look for it. Tiniest piece hidden under the huge Yorkshire pudding. We won’t be returning My daughter’s birthday and we all ordered the 2 course Sunday lunch. Half a roast chicken arrived for my daughter very tasty, my son and I had the roast beef. 2 very tiny and thin pieces of beef on top of vegetables hidden by the huge Yorkshire pudding. Thankfully I have a small appetite so I shared my beef with my son, his sister also gave him some chicken. £35 for a plate of veggies and a dessert. £17:50 for a cocktail! 15% service charge also applied without consultation and then on completing our payment a discretionary tip could also be added. I declined as the waitress didn’t know who got that extra money. It wasn’t the staff! Wine arrived not as chilled as it should be. Waiter’s answer whilst pouring it out was he’d put it in an ice bucket. Yeh! Most of it was already in our glasses. We won’t be returning.
We visited Bread Street Kitchen recently for what was meant to be a nice family meal, but unfortunately the experience was far from what we expected. During our visit, my daughter was drinking from one of the glasses provided and the glass cracked while she was using it, cutting her lip. It was a shocking moment for her and for us as parents — something that should never happen in a restaurant of this level. What made the situation worse was the lack of concern or care from the staff. No one asked if she was OK, if she needed first aid, or even acknowledged what had happened. We weren’t offered an apology, a replacement drink, or any kind of reassurance. It felt like the incident was brushed aside completely. For a restaurant carrying a big-name brand, you expect a much higher standard of safety, customer care and responsibility. Accidents can happen, but the way staff respond is what matters — and in this case, the response was extremely disappointing. The food and setting were nice, but the way this situation was handled really overshadowed the whole visit. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t return based on this experience.
Went there with some expectations because Gordon's name of course. What a disappointment. Firstly, leaking AC, water dripping right next to our table right on our legs. Half of the restaurant was empty instead of moving us to another table we were asked to move away from dripping water. Food was disappointing, Spiced Fried Cauliflower the most blunt starter ever had in my life. It would have been better if they served it raw. Burgers, they looked spectacular, patties were juicy, but, geezzz...... Buns were burnt you didn't have to eat it to smell the crematorium. And I am not talking about them being charred I am talking about being burned. The bitter taste overpowered the nice patty. What a shame.
Shocking service at Bread Street Kitchen Battersea. I honestly can’t believe this is operating under Gordon Ramsay’s name. I had to beg THREE times just to get a glass of water — absolutely ridiculous for any restaurant, let alone one that pretends to be “premium.” After finishing our bottle, I ordered a carafe of wine. It just sat there ignored on the bar for 15 minutes, while several staff members strolled past it like it didn’t exist. Not one person cared until I had to chase them again. The staff were inattentive, careless, and completely unbothered. The whole experience screamed incompetence and zero respect for paying customers. For what they charge, the service was a total embarrassment. Save yourself the disappointment — plenty of better restaurants in London that actually know how to look after their guests.
I had the 2 courses menu for £35.00 today for lunch, I ordered the chicken wings for starter and the roast beef for main. Chicken wings was pretty good but, the roast beef was awful, potatoes were hard, the 2 pieces of beef were very small and dry, probably less then 100g of beef, the “mash” was tasteless so I would not recommended.
I dined at Bread Street Kitchen in Battersea, and the experience was highly disappointing. The service was extremely poor, with the staff displaying a very impatient attitude. They overcharged us, and when I pointed it out, the waitress was dismissive and unhelpful. Throughout the meal, no water was provided unless specifically requested, and the overall service was nonexistent. The minute steak was tough and unpalatable. I will never return to this restaurant or any of its other branches.
I would have given it 2 stars, but they dont deserve that in complete honesty. We got there at 18:45 on a Saturday night, quite keen for a good meal as my father in law is a bog Gordon fan and it was his birthday celebrations. At first it seemed alright, good ambience to the place, not particularly busy probably because of the time but the first thing that wound me up was they sat us by the door, perhaps as an enticement to the outside, but this meant a constant draft. We can get past that easily enough. We had a waiter tend to us at about 19:00 for drinks, bit slower than expected but thats fine, 15 mins without offer of a drink is just about the limit. To not receive the drinks until 19:30 though was a joke. We then placed our orders, party of 8 so im sure they knew it wouldnt be too small, but its saturday night so im sure they're used to more. I ordered the california roll to start, so did 3 others. Sold out... so I ordered the chicken wings. Sold out... ordered the flatbread which didn't appeal but at least they had it. Ordered the mains, ordered the idiot sandwich... of course im an idiot because it was of course sold out. What on earth is going on for an 18:45 booking on a saturday night for a large percentage of the menu to be sold out?! Might expect that if we rocked up at 21:30. The starters arrived at 20:25, 1hr40 after arriving, thats a wind up surely. Not only that but it was tragic. The flatbread was flavourless, it was essentially a zizzis pizza but half the size and minimal topping, hence no flavour. Others got the meatballs that they said were ok but cold and another got the prawn cocktail that was apparently alright. The mains came, at 21:15. 2.5 hours after arrival which again, is a wind up. The smash burger reportedly tasted like fag ash, and was cold, the BSK burger was alright but again cold. We watched the bribe sit under the holding lamps for 14 minutes so you can imagine they weren't fresh from the grill. The only thing that seemed to receive no complaint was the fish. All in all, as a group of big GR fans, we couldn't have left more underwhelmed. Slow service on food and drink, cold food, prolonged hot holding and an overall disappointing representation of BSK. For the price, we would have saved a grand by crossing the road to nandos and had a better experience.
