Welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is surprisingly good for a small spot. A great place for a drink and some food if in the area!

We absolutely love this place! Yannis is the most welcoming and warm host, always making us feel right at home. We come here every year after the London Winter Run, and it has become a tradition we look forward to. The atmosphere is fantastic, the drinks are great, and the service is always top-notch. If you’re looking for a proper pub with a friendly vibe and a landlord who genuinely cares about his customers, The Three Crowns is the place to be. Highly recommend!

On our short trip to London, we found this brilliant pub close to Piccadilly Circus. Beer and food were quickly served, the staff is very friendly (answered all our touristy questions and let us try different beers before deciding) and we really enjoyed both beer and food and the vibrant atmosphere! There is a variety of food to choose from, also for vegetarians and interestingly, the amount of calories is given for each choice. 😊

Lovely pub with great food (best veggie burger I’ve ever had) good atmosphere and below average prices too!

Really nice pub with a very central location. Given that it is tucked away in side streets, even though it is a stone's throw from Piccadilly Circus, you can mostly find space inside, even when every other place is rammed.

Yannis and his team were wonderful. The food we tried was amazing, especially the fish and chips, steak pie and luxurious sticky toffee pudding. Definitely recommend The Three Crowns.

The Three Crowns is a nice pub just off Piccadilly Circus madness. I and a friend decided to pop in for a quick bite after work and, honestly, we had a good time. Jake served us and was always ensuring the tidying of the pub, so we didn't have problems finding a clean table. The halloumi and chilli jam wrap was lovely, better paired with beer.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely loved our visit to The Three Crowns! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of character. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We ordered a mix of dishes and every single one was spot-on—fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The Sunday roast in particular was one of the best we’ve had in London. Great portion sizes too! The drinks menu had something for everyone, with a great selection of beers and some fantastic cocktails. Whether you're after a cosy pint, a proper meal, or just a great spot to catch up with friends, The Three Crowns hits the mark. Will definitely be back soon!

Had an absolutely fantastic time at this pub! The food was simply amazing—bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, which made the experience even better. It’s not every day you find a spot where everything just clicks. I loved the atmosphere, the service, and of course, the delicious food. Can’t wait to go back!

I used to work near this pub decades ago. I went back yesterday and, although it has changed a little, it hasn't changed much. It still has a great atmosphere. They had a selection of beers on tap and all the ones we tried were served perfectly. The food was also great.

Went on a Sunday the vibe was really nice. Friendly staff and the Sunday roast was top notch! Will be back very soon

Another place we just happened to stumble across, where we did not leave disappointed. It provided the traditional London pub feel that we all were hoping for. One of us in the group even stated that one of the best burgers they had ever tasted was from this place. Would definitely recommend.

Stopped in for a quick meal before we went to see a show in the west end and it pleasantly surprised. The service was great the manager lily was very sweet and helpful, the food came out quickly which was great as we only had about 45 minutes. Delicious and good quality. The steak and fish and chips is what we recommend. Drinks are on the pricy side but it’s worth it for the atmosphere and area it’s in. Cute, classy and warm!

Delightful proper English pub!! Shared Fish & Chips plus Mac & Cheese. Others had Steak & Ale (which I of course tasted). All were lovely.

The last stop on our mini Piccadilly pub crawl, and certainly the busiest due to its proximity to Piccadilly Circus, definitely a pub that's good if you want a lively night. It's a Greene King so normal Greene King prices apply, despite it being in central London. A decent amount of seating, but due to how busy it was we had to share a table with strangers, not really a problem for me but for others who are a bit more anxious it may be.

Good, traditional London pub! This place is my Dad's old haunt when he worked in London and it was great to come back. Plenty of choice for drinks, i recommend the Monkey Godfather if you fancy a cocktail. Sports on the telly and lots of seating even though its not massive. Great food, huge portions! I had the standard fish chips, the dish in the background is the kingsize one. Great night in all, will be back!

Great service and food. Nice cosy pub perfect for a Sunday roast.

This place is always busy after work, but I always managed to have a fast service (food + drinks). There is limited space inside but you can stand outside with your drinks. I like the place! I recommend getting there early if you need a table or if you don’t want to stand outside. Very nice atmosphere and nice staff!

Great old fashioned pub, good food and decent atmosphere. The place is small and so can get a little crowded and lack a little seating. The beer is good and a reasonable price

P
Peter Claydon

Good beer selection, friendly, competent staff. Large crowds drinking outside, but it was easy to get a seat inside. Seems to be mainly an after-work pub. I haven't eaten here, but see that it's fallen victim to Green King's effort to make all their pubs bland by having exactly the same menu.

A great little traditional pub tucked away in Babmaes Street (off Jermyn Street). Popped in for one and stayed for quite a few!...they have a great selection of brew's both draft and bottled. Very well situated if you are in the West End shopping or seeing a show. Relaxed atmosphere and made to feel very welcome by all the staff and a manageress, who couldn't do enough for you. Highly recommended. Worth the trip even without the need to be that far from home.

Fantastic little pub tucked away off the busy streets. Great selection of drinks.

The food at Three Crown Restaurant is exceptional. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The flavors are rich and authentic, with generous portions. Whether you’re ordering local favorites or international dishes, the quality is consistently high.

Popped in here the day after a gig with a friend, wanting something decent to eat before heading home from London. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the food was delicious, with really good customer service. Will be coming again when I'm next in London.

I had the pleasure of visiting Three Crowns Pub , "The Three Crowns on Old Street (London) is a solid, traditional pub. It boasts a great atmosphere, especially for football fans, with multiple screens. Expect a wide selection of beers, decent pub grub (burgers, pies), friendly staff, and a lively, sometimes bustling crowd. It's not fancy, but it delivers a genuine, unpretentious London pub experience - perfect for a casual pint, watching the game, or meeting friends in a central location.

This is a nice Greene King pub a short walk from Piccadilly Circus. They had four cask beers so I opted for an IPA at £6.10. The pub is quite small and quite dark, giving it a rather intimate feel. At 4.30pm on a Tuesday it was busy, comprised mainly of local office workers. However the service was good. Spirits are rather expensive e.g. Buffalo Trace is £8.20, but you can double up for an extra £3. They do have a food menu selling usual pub food e.g. burgers, fish and chips. In summary a nice atmospheric pub.

Iron steak was very different compared to normal steak. It truly was definitely not cooked on the grill, perhaps reheated. Service was great, nice cozy pub.

Stopped off here on the way to phantom show as the prices for London were very reasonable...nice atmosphere,ok meal, not plentiful but ok...w ine £23 a bottle, actually really good price for picadilly area....staff really friendly,we had a meal prior to the show and went back after for a nightcap for that reason... thanks guys for reserving us a table...well worth a visit if your in this area

The food is good. Innovative cuisine in a casual local setting. Service is a bit lackadaisical though even when the place wasn’t full.

The Three Crowns on the delightfully named bags street is an offering from the Greene King stable. A fine city pub in St. James's offering a selection of both cask and keg beers. A GK menu with plenty of special offers is provided for the hungry. A good pint of beer and a convivial atmosphere. There is also a very polite, friendly and helpful chef working here!

A rather delightful pub with a clean and well-kept interior. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, making it an easy place to enjoy a drink. Service was good, and there’s a nice selection of drinks available, including Peroni. A simple, enjoyable spot that does exactly what you want from a good pub.

I almost stumbled on this as I was heading to a pub down the street. It was quiet when I walked in. The staff were welcoming. They serve a nice IPA and the food menu isn't extensive but what they serve appears to be good. I had a steak and ale pie which was large and very tasty. The price wasn't too bad for lunch.

A nice, small pub in prime location. I enjoyed my pint of level head. It can get very busy at weekends.

B

This Greene King pub is extremely small, but given the area, that's understandable. Being on a small side street, it is a little ticked away and thus seems to only really attract office workers who know it's there. I confess I've not tried the food here but given the menu it's almost surely the usual Greene King offerings.

A Green King pub in the Mayfair area of central London, conveniently placed if you're looking for a snack or drink. A nice range of beers on offer.

We didn’t have any issues finding a table. However, I had to queue for 20-30 minutes before getting served (there was only two people in front of me). One of the staff there was learning and was entirely dependent on the other colleague, so we had to wait for her to return from errands before ordering. They had hardly any food in. Lots of people were really disappointed and complaining. Not even milk in for a coffee. We are veggies and they only had two options available. I had to ask “what do you actually have in”. Received wrong drinks too, due to how overwhelmed the two members of staff were. Food was unspectacular and tasted bad. The nuggets were draped in a heavy tasting Texas bbq sauce. The three chips starter with sauces tasted bad, the chips were also thin and lacked taste. Overall, service and food quality was terrible. We paid £37.00 for the privilege. Avoid here and go somewhere else

I suppose what it is that you’re after. But it’s super loud and devoid of anything that might give it a bit of character. Shame as it’s a nice location in an old building. But negative personality.

Service could definitely be improved—the bartenders weren’t very welcoming, and the wine was served warm in less-than-clean glasses.

Food and drinks were fine … but was served by a young lady who obviously doesn’t like working with the public… blatantly ignored me first in an empty bar then a big sigh when i ordered… gave no eye contact and came across as very rude. Daughter went up next same treatment… young guy who brought out food was great very helpful and happy. Made up for misery guts!

-We made a reservation via Greene King Pubs and received a confirmation, but when we arrived the staff were unaware of it and reacted as if it was our fault. -We indicated on the reservation that we wanted to eat. Five minutes after being seated, we were informed that food was limited, and later it turned out there was no food service at all. -We ordered drinks using the online ordering system displayed on the table, but it took 16 minutes for two Guinnesses to arrive. Overall: The pub looked nice, but the organisation was poor. There were three staff members serving this small pub, yet they still couldn’t keep up. The staff were rude.

Please do yourselves a favour and don’t eat here. I cannot express how horrible the food was. It’s fine for a pint and a portion of fries but very poor quality generally

D
DR S

Probably the dirtiest pub in London, horrible service and the food couldn't be worse. Tin macaroni cheese and the fish and chips looked mean and bad quality, £50 for this? Never again

W

We booked for lunch today (Babmaes Street at 12:15 on 19th Feb) but the pub was firmly shut; no one we could see through the windows. No notice to explain on the door. No one from the Three Crowns contacted us in the following hours and day, despite holding our booking details! Sadly, this review site doesn't give a zero star option.

C
Callum Jarrald

The foood was very very poor quality. Honey mustard sausages were inedible. Alright for a beer but that’s it
