Love going here for brunch! Bottomless mimosas or micheladas for $20?!? Yes, please! I've gone with groups a few times now and they're always very accommodating. The vibes are always good, the servers are friendly and attentive. If you go for brunch, the chilaquiles, pozole, burrito, and lechera French toast are all delicious! This most recent visit, I ordered a margarita flight and although they are a little strong, they were still delicious. You can use the meter parking on the street or 2 hours validation parking in the pike outlets parking structure

Came by during a business trip and tried their new mole enchiladas. Very flavorful! Service was excellent, Diana was personable, efficient and even gave us some habanero salsa to try since we said we liked spicy food! Enchiladas are a bit spicy but so good! Chips and salsa were on point and glad the vibe was calm and welcoming. Other Kalaveras had their music so loud I thought I was at the club and not a restaurant. They had $10 liter drinks today and they were very good! Would highly recommend this place if you are in the Long Beach area.

This place is definitely eye-catching🤩 For sure it lives up to expectations😁 The decor and atmosphere are enticing🔥🔥 My food was delicious. I went in for lunch. I had 🌮🌮tacos, 1 Asada & 1 Camarón, chips and salsa, a beer🍺 and I was good!🤤 After sunset, I'm sure the place lights up even more!! Cool spot! 💯👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Colorful with good music and a lively atmosphere. Full indoor/outdoor bar. Restaurant with tables, high chairs and booths decorated with colorful skulls (calaveras). Great theme accompanied by great food and drinks. Went for brunch and the chilaquiles (added chicken) with green sauce were delicious. Big plate, 2 people can share. Taquitos were tasty also. Margaritas and Black Paloma didn't disappoint. I even got a second black Paloma. Attentive service with a smile. Right across from the Long Beach convention center. Stop by if you're in town.

Fantastic lunch experience. Great service with Anna! Spouse had TACOS GOBERNADOR which was delicious and I had ENCHILADAS DE CAMARON which has a quite unique sauce. Marqs were great!

Walked by here on a Monday and saw that they had Margarita specials, so of course I went in. Hostess was kind and professional. Bar tender was super friendly and fun to chat with. The drinks he made were fantastic as well, and I really appreciated being given complimentary chips & salsa despite being seated at the bar. Next time I'm in Long Beach, I will definitely be stopping in here for a full meal, because it all looked great. Oh yeah, and super random, but their bathrooms are decorated in such a fun way. When I walked in, I actually said "Woah!" out loud lol.

I’m nobody but I felt like I was somebody by the way they treated us. Food was delicious. We tried the quesabirrias and the tacos governadores. Both were good but the gorvenador tacos were my favorite. Also had a michelada and a drink called the vela which had tequila,mango,mezcal and other stuff. Both hit the spot!We had the flan which was creamy and delicious. Good size dessert for 2 people. On top of all that the decor was pretty cool. Worth stopping by and don’t get pushed away from the bad reviews

It had a large TV and about 6 others with music videos playing and the place was lit up like a night club, not too bright, just enough to see and relax! . The Mezcal with passionfruit was so tasty. The Margarita with cuccumbers was so tasty and the Cab was a Cab. Would loved to have tried them all. . The delicious Barbacoa entree was enough to feed all three of us but, alas, they had tacos! . The Mushroom taco was surprisingly good while the Carnitia and Asada tacos were so tasty! The rice and beans were pretty good as to be expected. The nachos were Nachos but had the tasty pickled onions and carrots which was really good with it. . The staf was really engaged and attentive. Supper chill and friendly. . All in all, would definatley go back and our Uber said this was a chain restaurant. Never would have guessed. . Very tasty🤤

First time at Kalaveras and was honestly impressed. Margarita flight was solid. Food was good too. And the prices were really well thought out. They have daily specials and the staff is always checking to make sure you are good. Only con is the set up of the tables at this location. I personality hated it. Got sat in the middle, lighting felt like too much and just felt like you were put on the spot right away. Felt like a cheap fast food restaurant in my opinion. And the music is overly loud. Had to have a conversation with your party. Overall, I’d def come back, drinks were great, food was great. I would probably ask to get seated at a different table or try the bar area. Also gonna check out their other locations.

Kalaveras has fantastic margarita pitchers. The margaritas are strong and delicious. We enjoyed the wings.

Great place to go with groups for your birthday. Food was tasty and a really fun atmosphere. Guac was great and nachos have a kick.

Went with a large group of folks and the staff did a great job taking care of us. Wednesdays are Mezcal specials (-$5) and the drinks are pretty fun! The highlight was the huge burrito I got ($16). The food was delicious and extremely filling. You could probably share the burrito between 2 people and be plenty happy. The restaurant is a part of a chain. If there's ever another location nearby where I'm staying, I'll come back for another Mezcal!

Did I just find the cutest Halloween cocktails?? Kalaveras has new seasonal drinks, and iykyk, it’s always a such a vibe here ;) Their menu has a little something for everyone including quesabirria tacos, steak, enchiladas, and even sushi rolls(!!). For a limited time until November 3rd, they’re offering themed cocktails like the La Muerte, Pick Your Poisin, and Khaos shot, so go get your Halloween drank on at Kalaveras. Thanks for reading! ^-^

We swung by the Pike Outlets and saw this nice Mexican restaurant on Pine Ave in front of the Long Beach Convention center. The place was packed still at 2:45 so must be a good place to eat. We were seated immediately when we came in but really looked busy at this time. We ordered the Wet Burritos for me and my wife from a nice waitress named Linda that was eager to take our orders. Ambiance carried a Peruvian design but since Valentine's Day is fast approaching they have a welcoming backdrop of a Valentine themed wall at the entrance for you to take a picture of. The atmosphere inside are composed of locals and people visiting the outlet stores. They have a sweet person roaming around taking pictures if you liked the pictures. Our orders came in 15 minutes prepared and presented nicely! We will definitely come back for more when we are in town. Oh by the way you should also visit their bathrooms; men's has a jungle theme and the women's have a Valentine theme.

ALL THE DRINKS were delicious highly recommend. As for the food well the chicken enchiladas were really good even the rice and beans that came with them. However the queso birria tacos were a bit too soggy when their best a bit crunchy. The meat was dry even when trying to dip it in the sauce it broke every time. No onions were serve with it just cilantro, radish, & some hot sauce. The tacos governabor were also way too soggy. Hardly was given cabbage for all three tacos it was more for just only one. Would have prefer the shrimp cut into small cubes though having three whole shrimp was more of one bite of shrimp and another of tortilla before getting another shirmp bite. (Not everyone can eat a big taco in three bites.) The sauce was really good, the carrots were good too I would have prefer smaller strip though but the marinated onion was indeed delicious. Service was really good 👍 very attentive and afford recommend drinks. Great service indeed. Atmosphere was also good had music in the background not to over powerful were you can't even carry a conversation with your group. Perfect volume and good music. Kept switching it up which I think is great everyone gets to hear at least something they like.

We have visited Kalaveras on Pine Street location of Downtown, Long Beach. We enjoy heading there for Taco Tuesday and watching sporting events on the big screen tv they have for its patrons. The Taco Tuesday bar has a great selection of meats & a potato option for everyone. The salsas are delicious as well. They have a variety of cocktails to choose from as they feature a full bar. There is a great time to be had there. Tip: make sure you put money in the meters as nobody likes parking tickets.

OK Food. Fun but Loud Atmosphere. Not the best experience. We had an okay meal but lack of attention to our table did not enhance our experience. A flight of margaritas was sent back to the bar refused by a table right when we ordered ours but our waitress insisted he's making four new ones for us. We watch them only make two of the four and give us the other two that were a previously on another table. I'm sure the people said they didn't touch them but I feel like we should have complained. We would have if we were checked on. I cannot in good faith recommend this restaurant. I had the smothered burrito with carnitas and she had the shrimp tacos.

Came for first time to Taco Tuesday. It’s a served buffet. But without your regular lettuce cheese tomato and sour cream available. The meat selection was good and the tacos were flavorful, there is a charge for sour cream so beware if you want your special regular toppings then it will be extra (best tacos have sour cream) . Sour cream was hot also. Drinks were okay but super sweet for the margarita. Not falling for the $1 tacos but will return to try the full menu. ✌🏾tacos off regular menu are $5.50 each… not worth it.

Kalaveras: Vibrant Flavors with Exceptional Service. Our experience at Kalaveras was a delightful journey of flavors, mainly due to their standout dish, the MOLCAJETE. The dish was a gastronomic delight, brilliantly executed with layers of flavor that had my taste buds dancing. However, I must note that the portion size felt a little small for the price. The highlight of the evening, though, was our server, Linda. She was exceptional in every sense of the word. Linda provided us with recommendations, answered all our questions about the menu, and ensured we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Her warm and engaging service added an extra layer of enjoyment to our dining experience. Overall, despite the pricing issue with the MOLCAJETE, I would recommend Kalaveras for its flavorful food and excellent service. It's a great spot for a special occasion or when you feel like treating yourself. Linda, if you're reading this, keep up the fantastic work!

Unfortunately the wet burrito wasn't as good as it looked. I was hoping for more harmonious flavorings. The rolls I ate really messed up my stomach. But the flan was great. :')

Taking a deep breath… wish i can give a better review. Went on a tuesday to this place, it didnt look busy, but the service is bad. We waited a good 15 minutes for us to order our drinks. Good thing the drinks were good. The rice was bland. The music was not too loud, we were able to talk throughout our table. Its just the service that is bad. I wouldnt come back to this location. I definitely recommend the bellflower location more

My husband n I came for the first time last week, and will never go back. Our server “Ivone” not only stole money from my debit card by adding a $7 tip. But also charged us $8 for a side of fries. We got 2 sides. Which were very small, and paid $16. On the website a side of fries is $4. Our check came out to $68. Service was terrible, and I still tipped $13 (20%). Later to check my bank account n see I was charged $75. The restaurant refunded me the $7, but was very unapologetic. Really bad service, the people you hire represent the company. She stole from me twice, $8 in fries & $7 outside of the tab. Don’t recommend!

First time here visiting, happy hour, seemed like a nice vibe at first but don't let appearances deceive you. We sat at the bar, received our drinks but the $10 liter margaritas aren't same for non-slushy, on ice, margaritas. I ordered "on the rocks" and my Margarita was served in small glass, mostly ice, was not topped off, was missing the lime. Husband's beers had a lot of foam. No complementary chips or salsa were offered, we ordered an appetizer, they didn't bring us napkins or utensils and had to ask. Appetizer was bland, didn't have any dipping sauces for the taquitos. It should be assumed that customers shouldn't have to ask for the basics, but at this place we had to ask for everything. Bad service and would not recommend this restaurant again.
