I was there for lunch 7/13/23. A very nice young man waited on me. He could see my hands were full so carried my tray and returned several time to ask if I needed anything else. Very courteous and polite. He's a keeper. It's hard to find young people willing to work and do such a good job. Always was busy not just standing around. Thank you for an enjoyable lunch time.
Long John's is slowly going away. Enjoy while you can!!!
Even though the line was out to the road, they got out food right and didn’t take long to get done. The workers there were absolutely amazing! Even if the food wasn’t good, i would go back for the amazing atmosphere.

When I tell you my food was out before I left the counter after paying is no lie. Walked into the door and there was a long line, it moved super fast with very little delay. Corey took my order, she was very professional and CC had my food infront of me before I could grab my cup to get a fountain drink. This new build and staff is a great addition to Longview.
My family and I came by after the remodel. The drive thru line was long, but moved quickly and efficiently. Everything was perfect. The place looked great, the food was good and all the employees had smiles on their faces.
The cashier was amazing! Food was on point,although they had no ketchup or cocktail sauce. But the food was so good and came out to me in a timely manner! I really loved the food
Not sure of the gentleman’s name but I wanted the chicken and I’m allergic to seafood. I know the one I had in my hometown they didn’t cook the fish/chicken together so I asked. He was super nice and went out his way to cook me fresh fish in a different fryer so I can have my chicken. He didn’t have to but he did and I appreciate that so much so I can finally have my LJS fix, thank you!!
So Glad this franchise got a second life, and so glad they got a new building! It's one of my favorite places to eat. Good as always! Very friendly staff.

Food and Service have always been great, BUT today was the SECOND time that they TOLD ME THEY HAD NO VINEGAR, AFTER I ORDERED AND PAID. Come on LJS, I only get to eat there when I am in Longview (1.5 hours from home), please 🙏 keep your condiments ordered so you don't run out like this. Most burger places couldn't even open if they had no Ketchup, and LJS is way better than that.

5 STARS!!! The place was jam packed when we went in. With people waiting on tables. Regardless, the food was piping hot, fresh and delicious. People were haggard and rude. But the workers never lost their cool. They were polite to everyone. Akeesia was working the counter and really stood out as friendly and welcoming to everyone!! It was worth the hour drive here for this!!
They took out seating for the remodel. We all wanted to eat there. No seating or standing. They will always be busy. You should have planned better. The design is not unique. They should have made it unique. This has always been a favorite of ours. We will go eat there if we can get a table or go through the drive-thru.
We arrive there on Monday we order our food and sat down i asked me gf about all the elderly people eating thier but she didn't have an answer I taught it was ironic but no it was senior citizen day
In town for work. Haven't had LJS in a long while so thought what the heck. Ordered through the drive thru. Ordering was quick and food was ready upon my arrival at the window. The lady at the window was very friendly and cheerful. I took the food and drove about 15 mins. When I stopped and opened my meal it was still very warm and fresh. I will say that I would prefer the old style fries better than the waffle fries they have now. None the less - Very Tasty.
We had a problem at this location and the sweet lady crystal reach out and resolve problem over an beyond. We are very appreciative for the time she took and listen to our side and help us out and be very kind and helpful. Alot of restaurants need to take lessons from her very professional and sweet responses. She knows how to handle her customers very well.
Food qas very good. It was very busy at lunch time, so we opted for the self service kiosk to order. Food was very good! Dine in seating area is quite small and can be difficult to get a table.
Vernetta Stevens was wonderful. She was patient, sweet, kind and had great customer service. Vernetta treated my mom and I with great respect. She goes over and above for the customers.
Best customer service you can get in longview from the whole staff! Food was fresh. Can't recommend going inside to eat enough! Super clean!
Customer service was phenomenal today! Brand new employee today and she was amazing. Proof if your patient while the new employee learns the computer... you'll recieve friendly and timely service! The manager on duty was on point tonight. Training new employee, helping customers, and giving assistance to all employees. She definitely deserves a raise! Thank you for service today. My husband and I enjoyed our late lunch today.
I grew up having a LJS near me and I remember having family meals there. This was a blast from the past. The fries are waffle style but it was the same tasting food from my youth. Food was quick with no wait.
The service was ok,BUT I understand since Covid the turnover rate is huge so I am not going to say anything negative cause they were training . Let me tell you about the food!!! Home Run ! Y'all killed it back in the kitchen! Crispy and fresh! I can't get anyone in my family to get there but they don't know why they are missing. Don't think I took pictures but I will put something up
Food was great. Keep the kitchen clean, grease changed and this place will be in for the long haul. Slide back to the old ways and it'll be downhill quick.
This place is newly remodeled. The staff was nice. The food was just ok- wasn’t the best. Bring back the regular fries- the waffle fries are not good. 👎🏼
Came here for the first time in years!! Food wasnt the same as I once remembered it. Smaller portions. But it did have a good flavor. Cheese bites delicious. The service was great. Very friendly staff. We rang the bell when we left👍
The new building is really nice. The food was served hot, and I enjoyed the fish and shrimp. The lady at the window was super nice and respectful. The only negative was the wait time. They were not very busy, but I had to wait quite a while to get through the line to get food.
I haven't experienced the great taste of Long John Silver since it closed in Sulphur Springs Tx. Visiting here in Longview made up for the great taste. The atmosphere was pleasant and the employees were very courteous. They kept the place clean and I received my platters as I was paying for them. I must say that the food was placed on the plates very professionally and was hot. The have free refills and the bathrooms are clean and open to the public. My wife fries were a little to hard to eat and they immediately replaced them with the green beans she asked for. My hats off to the employees for making this a pleasant dinner for us.
This location just reopened not long ago. I do not like ordering at a machine. We had the fish plate. Very disappointed in the fish. Sorry I didn’t take pictures. The pieces were small & didn’t taste good to me or my wife. The waffle fries were okay, as were the hush puppies. We both thought the Cole slaw was outstanding. Will we try this place again? I don’t think so.
Ordered two #5 meals thru drive thru. Service fast and friendly. Got home (5 minutes) fish was hot but there were only about 10 French fries which were cold and coleslaw was warm and container was leas than half full. So we ate fish and hush puppies for $22. Y’all better do better or people wont spend their money there. One of my favorite places to eat so hope next time is better.
Honestly didn't taste much of a difference from before they remodeled and got new equipment. The service team was great. Very nice. Food good bit not great. New fries were the best part.
Mediocre at best. For a new restaurant you'd expect service to be up to par. However, when it's lunch hour, plus busy, plus only one register open, well their were two possibly open but when one of the cashiers was more interested in playing on her phone with her buddy that's sub par service. The staff seemed as if they had rather be anywhere else but at work. On rare occasions when someone rang the bell did someone say thank you. NOT a lot of pride here as staff was going thru the motions. I never once saw a single smile on anyone's face. The seating in this new place is half the size of the old one so you stand there with your food until a seat opens up. Finally, the food portions seem smaller with almost no crums. I guess I'm just big on tradition. I get the badly needed remodel, at this location, but sometimes new doesn't always mean better.
Well I enjoy the food here, however I was disappointed in the quality of the food I recieved last night. The fries texture was like rubber, the chicken you can tell may not have been fried at the right temperature or past its life under a heat lamp, and the fish was the worst it was fried and wet, I don’t know it was weird. I can only figure maybe the food may have been fried at the incorrect temperature. It also wasn’t just my food, it was my entire families food where that terrible quality was consistent. I don’t know but I would like to keep coming back, you just absolutely can’t serve people like that. I hope I can stop by again and things be better.
1st time eatting at a Long John Silver's restaurant. Let me tell you. I am not a fan and probably won't ever visit a restaurant again. The shrip Baja Taco has way to much sauce in it. The shrimp was cold. The number 1 combo was a 2 pc with waffle fries. Grease was just dripping off the 2 pc. I could taste the fish odd the waffle fries. No the business. I had to rip the part of the batter off the 2 pc because of the grease. I don't know. This was just not a good experience for me. On a Positive the place looks brand new and well maintained by the crew.
The food was amazing! But the service is very lackluster. They took so long to get our order out that we thought out order was forgotten. Plus, we weren't the only ones with this issue many people walked out without even getting to order. I would definitely order ahead next time.
The food was good the customer service was the worst it could be the employees were only interested is cleaning up two hours before closing It is a shame a few weeks ago it was packed with no place to sit and everyone was friendly we were the only table in there and it was terrible

We drive all the way from Jacksonville to eat at this location,we have eaten there now 5 times since they have opened, this time we waited for our food for 35 minutes. First off, they have these kiosk on the counter to order your food, neither one work, so that was backing up the line, second, I guess everyone that worked there was having a really bad day,I don't know, and then like I said we waited for ever to get our food, the place really wasn't busy when we were there,it shouldn't have happened. We will not go back,

If you want hot food don't order online unless you plan to pick it up right away otherwise it's going to be semi cold. Half the workers at this location don't pay attention to anything else besides a conversation going on between themselves. Was there and had to get the workers attention to help out a young kid that was trying to get his attention without being rude. Finally after saying hey this young man needs help the 3rd time the worker helped the young man out. I have worked at Long John's Silver before and when I worked there nothing like this ever happened to any of the customers. Think they need to retrain the workers on what actual customer service really is. Other than these things happening it was decent. But still should know what customer service really means
This particular restaurant hasn't been opened for very long. It's been opened for about 2- 2 1/2 months. We ate there about 2 weeks after they opened and their food wasn't great, but ok. We put in an online order that's almost $100 today, says it'll take 15 min. to be ready. We show up 45 min. later and they haven't even started on it. The restaurant isn't very busy, either, and there is a man out front letting his dog dump in the grass literally feet from where people should be enjoying a good meal. Anyway.... food is cooked in old grease, soaked in grease, overcooked and like all fast food restaurants we had missing food & no apologies for it!!! No one ever cares.
Umm, before the renovated it was bigger … Now it’s smaller with less seating. It was packed when we went barley any place to sit, I don’t understand the layout and why they made it smaller other than that food was okay for what it was…
Been there three times since they re-opened. I stood in line on the inside while multiple people walked out because nobody was covering the front counter. Turns out, it was a 10-minute wait to order while the guy in charge unbagged and cut up what looked like a big bag of shortening. At the same time, people were moving through the drive-thru at a regular pace. These people aren't paying attention. They cook way too much at one time, and the food comes out cold. Everybody knows you don't put cold food like coleslaw in the box with hot fish and hush puppies! or you expect to serve HOT coleslaw. Again, bad service.
We don't have a Long John Silvers where we are from. My husband and I were excited to find out that Longview had one, so we stopped on our way through. We were very disappointed. When you walk in, it smells like rotten eggs. Dining area wasn't very clean. Then, our food tasted like it had been left over and sitting out for awhile. Chicken was dry, batter on the fish was slimmy and undercooked. However, the shrimp was good. The lady that waited on us was friendly but seemed like she couldn't get it together. This definitely ruined us from wanting to eat at another Long John Silvers.
The issue is most likely due to low staffing. Cheese bites were amazing but everything else wasn’t worth the wait. Staff managed with that they had but when it got busy, everyone started getting upset.
There's pretty much No fish in their fish. It's almost all greasy breading. I've gave them a few chances, and this was the last one. I won't be back. I don't like wasting money
This was my 2nd time coming here since the Reboot the 1st time the chicken was old and they had no tartar sauce. I went yesterday the fish was fresh,but the waffle fries was hard and cold LJS leave the waffle fries to Chick-fil-A cause they where bad on both visits
Love Long John silver's couldn't wait to eat there after the new opening. However it was disappointing. They were busy and they got my order wrong. I gave up on that but made him give me my extra fish that I ordered. The drinks we got were okay but on the flat side the drink area was not maintained no straws no lids. The fish was definitely greasy, the hush puppy one was burnt the next one was greasy. The shrimp was like little pieces of dough fried didn't have any shrimp taste at all. Coleslaw was okay. Had to go ask for tartar and cocktail sauce and they just gave me a few said they were running low. We had to clean our own table. All in all it was disappointing.
Had an issue with missing food. Spoke with Jose he and the manager on duty (Calvin) next day handled the issue wonderfully. Food was good thanks after I got home and ate food got very sick about 2 hours later cleared up after 24 hours suspect something in food stomach issues.
This was our first trip back since the remodel. I am so disappointed! Over 30 minutes to get food out, full dining room, no clean/bused tables, nothing stocked and plenty of help in the kitchen but a lack of organization, no communication among the cooks and team work to get things done. This is still fast food and nobody is trying to work quickly to stay caught up. The sweet young man taking orders was apologetic to customers and helped when the line was down. As a former line look this was a train wreck!
Everything was overcooked, like they left it in the fryer too long. Dining room was closed, there was smoke filling up the store, the guy at the drive thru didn't have a clue. We were craving some LJS and ended up being extremely disappointed.
Fish hot, chicken strips c old and strange shaped bland. Fries are hot.. not worth the money. Had better at a gas station. Just saying. God bless

Usually the food is really yummy but this visit was a bummer, both boxes had fries hard as bricks. My fish was good but my son's was black in areas and tough to chew up. Hush pups were yum tho
Very disappointed forgot my chicken, shrimp was soggy batter not done, fish one was done other half done half soggy, ff hard can't eat hush puppies full of grease need to get the temperature right before you cook in grease. Second meal shrimp hard ff hard can't eat spent almost 40 very disappointed to much money to waste.

Well I went when they first opened, and asked for the 8 piece with 6 chicken and 2 fish. When I got home it was all fish. So tried again today, and asked for all chicken. What in the world lol, the chicken use to be different and taste so much better. It was little chicken tenders as hard as could be! Lol never going back
We had not been to a Long John Silvers in years and we were excited to go. We came later in the evening and ordered 2 fish and shrimp combos and a kids meal. The hush puppies were solid like rocks. The fish was so over fried it was solidified around the edges. The drink was the only thing that was good. By the time we actually got home and opened our food to find all this out we called the restaurant and nobody would answer. Since it was late and we were too far away to make it back before closing we figured we would call the next day since basically the entire order was thrown away. When calling the next day we were told since we didn’t come back that night they would not refund the order. Even after explaining that there was no way possible to make it back in time before closing, they refused to refund us. Will hopefully get this resolved soon, but please do not come here. We gave it a chance with some of the bad reviews and regret it so much. Maybe if the general manager had been more understanding we’d give it another chance. But just a terrible experience all around.
So atmosphere is unknown, seeing as how I ordered at the drive thru, so the positive first, the staff, although being completely overwhelmed, seemed friendly, now for the bad. I paid $35.35 for two tiny “chicken tenders” for myself, my wife got one chicken one fish, the fish wasn’t horrible sized, but you could barely find the so called chicken tender in her food box, and I got a kids meal for my daughter, it was one tiny chicken tender and a few fries! This is not $35 worth of food. I do want to thank LJS in Longview, TX for making sure I don’t come back. If I had gone there hungry, I would have been pissed!!
The only thing that was good is the hush puppies were fresh. Meat was warm.The fries cold and the drink was flat and tasted like it was zero sugar!! Nope won’t be going bk.
Decided to go to long john silvers tonight to get something to eat and I have to say it was the BIGGEST disappointment EVER. Everything I ordered was greasy and too salty. The hush puppies were so hard you could've used them for baseballs ⚾️ practice or teeing off to play ⛳️ golf. They just should've left the old one they're instead of rebuilding cause the food didn't get better it got worse than before. Will not be going back.

I'm not sure why they reopened this Long John's, as it is just as bad as it was before. And they never have Cod, which is on their menu. Shrimp tacos were cold and gross, tea like water, fish mediocre, coleslaw way too wet. The only plus were the hush puppies. We will not be back.
Ordered the #12, 3 chicken 2 fish meal. Got to the window was told they only had tartar sauce. Guys puts 1 in my bag. Barely covered the bottom of the little cup it comes in. Had no shrimp sauce no vinegar. The food was horrible. Cole slaw tasted like bleach. Fish and chicken was very dry. Ended up throwing it in the trash. Horrible food.
My wife and I went there for the first time since remodel. Wont go back. Girl at counter had big time attitude and was very unpleasant. The food was not very hot and not very tasty. Floors were dirty both in dining area and behind the counter. Overall not a pleadant dining experience. Wont be back.
My husband and I were in the Longview Texas long John Silver today walked in one table leaving another waiting for their food that was sitting on the take me out side of the line saying to the counter person the order is ready she walked by the food told us the only 2 people standing there that she had to wipe down tables shed be right there in a minute instead of taking our order and then wiping tables she proceeds to clean the dinning room ignoring us didn't even try and stop us as we walked out no one did definitely won't be back if one of my employees treated someone in my business like we were treated today they'd be fired in the spot do better
Dang just opened after rebuilding and people are rude!? The soda machine was not calibrated properly so the drinks were carbonated water. Food looked good but didnt taste good. Can't eat without plastic ware. Won't be back.
We went at about 120pm throughthe drive thru. I guess we got the leftovers from the early lunch. The fish was no longer present inside the crust. I've never had fish jerky until today. Was disappointed indeed because it's always been great. Please throw out the dried up fish instead of serving it. I had already left or I would have went back.

Ran out of fish, then kept taking orders and didn’t have any “thawed”. Don’t open a restaurant if you are not staffed and you can’t manage the crowds. Since when did LJS only have waffle fries? Won’t be coming back anytime soon! Wasted 15 minutes in line in the restaurant to get my order taken then after waiting 13 minutes they announced they had no fish. Complete waste of our time. The place was a complete wreck but the sure getting the door dash to pickup orders all done.
DOORDASH DRIVERS BE WEARY OF THIS PLACE! I deliver from everywhere across town everyday. Had a nice single meal order for a good price. And this is my second time trying to deliver from this place, it also was the same experience. I was waiting on the order for 40 mins after I asked about the order 3 times. Then the chick in the back who was putting the orders together was just being rude. Finally she said “They didn’t tell you? We are out of coconut shrimp. After 40 mins! I wasted wayyyyy too much time in there and beware of their parking lot, it’s absolutely horrible too. So I unassigned from the order and lost money and time (which is money when you doordash.) I gave the place 2 tries and got the same experience! Never again!!!
They took way too long at the drive thru. I asked if anyone was there and she told me she’d take my order in a min. Why does it take her ten min to let me know she’s gonna take my order when she can. I left due to the lack of communication and lack of urgency during rush hour.
I was waiting in the drive through for 30 minutes with only three cars in front of me… Finally get up to the window, and have to wait another 10 minutes. Then, our order was messed up. The cashier looked bewildered when I told her this wasn’t our food… Ended up getting a free meal, but service was mediocre. I will not return.
I order a meal with 2 extra pieces fish. I asked if they remembered to get me the two extra and the girl at the window was rude and said she said she checked. I get home and I only had 1 piece. I saw the box with the extra piece but it only had one in it instead of the two I paid for. Worst service ever.
It's no wonder that there are a lot of bad reviews for this place although it's fairly new. I went in for lunch around 1:00-1:30 and ordered a two piece combo with waffle fries. I was handed my order in 15 seconds. That would explain why my waffle fries tasted old. I was lucky to have hot fish. I've only been a couple times since it opened and this made my 3rd. It's more of a let down each time I go. It doesn't help that it also looked dirty in there. Needless to say, the next time I get fish, I'll just go to Roost for it. It's far better.
Not enough seating. The restaurant took out 90 % of their seats during remodel. We tried to eat here but I'm disabled and we couldn't stand that long. It's a shame because I like their food. I use walker and had to park a distance away. There was no one at counter. They were only waiting on drive thru with line out the door.

Went here yesterday and I haven't been to one in years and I hated the order screen , the customer service was rude . One guy was friendly. The food wasn't that great and the cost was ridiculous. Won't be returning to any Long Johns
Chicken was jerky, the sides were just plain awful. Most drinks were out of order and as we say two roaches crawled across the floor. Food and crumbs all over the floor and the ac is broken. Manger was nice and so was staff but it's not worth coming here. Should be closed down until it can be run properly.
Not good... Been going to LJS for 40+ years... New dirty restaurant, same awful service, half the chicken was darker then other half. That means it was held and refried and combined with fresher.. long line and super slow... This has to be my last time although I have said that before.. oh and some gnats in my coleslaw... just gross
This is the 2nd time we have been there since the grand opening. First time I ordered online missing food. Tonight we ordered at drive thru set there for 20 minutes for food and cars in front of us. We get home my husband had all chicken no fish. My order had no hush puppies and filled full of fries when the 2 sides I ordered was green beans and Cole slaw. Worst service. This store hasn't changed at all. Employees do not care.
This place will never succeed with the staff the have working there! Place is nasty! Tables all nasty. Food was nasty and THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS SO BAD!!! We should of left with the few people who we saw leave and complaining about their experience. The cashier was so worried about her phone and talking to another employee about her not liking this or that about the job or dealing with smart mouth customers. Its was so bad trying to eat listening to it all. WE PERSONALLY WON'T BE BACK!!
I attempted to visit your location on the evening of 12/27 at approximately 8:00 PM. I waited at the intercom for about 15 minutes with no response. I then drove up to the window, where I saw a handwritten sign stating the restaurant was closed due to maintenance. However, every light in the building was on, which made the situation especially frustrating. I had hoped that after the building was rebuilt, customer service would improve, but unfortunately, this experience felt worse than ever. I have always loved Long John Silver’s, which is why this was so disappointing. This visit made it seem as though customer service is no longer a priority at this location. I wanted to share this experience in hopes that it can be addressed.
We stopped here for a late weekday lunch. They had ordering machines available but were for card only. Planned on paying with cash so we approached the counter so we could order. The person in front of us had just finished their transaction as we walked up. The lady behind the counter saw us but walked away. Not a big deal, we figured she would be right back. We continued to stand at the counter several minutes during which she walked by twice, looked at us each time and ignored us. I asked hubby if he had his card and he did so we moved back to the ordering machines and placed our order there. It said it went through, we paid and went to sit down. About 1/2 of the tables were occupied and everything else was dirty. I found a fairly clean one and sat. I noticed that there were a lot of workers there but no one was cleaning tables. The customers were steady but it wasn't super busy and there should have been adequate staff by how many were there to handle it with no problem. After waiting for about 10 minutes and people after us getting their food I looked to see if the charge was on my bank account. It was but a couple minutes later was refunded. I have no idea why. Hubby went to the counter to see what had happened and after the lady that was tending the counter looked directly at him but did not offer in any way to help him we decided it was time to take our business elsewhere. I have never experienced this kind of service at any fast food restaurant before.
Picked up an order and we were very disappointed. I expected fish to be a little greasy but this was soaking in grease. The chicken strips were inedible. Could not enjoy the sides because of the worst experience I’ve ever had at a long John silver. Probably never go back. Service was good
Nope! nothing like it was. I used to love their fish. Since they reopened they have a slow, rude staff that don't give a crap and the food was way overcooked. I went there for lunch against my wife's advise. I spent 15 bucks on food that wasn't edible. I would have taken it back to the front counter, but I had to get back to work. Needless to say I will never go back. The old LJS had way better food. Too bad. :( I wish Red Lobster would come back.
Here’s a side by side comparison of what is advertised as a chicken and fish platter vs what they will give you for $14, you get 2(not 3)of the tiniest pieces of chicken you will ever see, 2 fish and 8 fries. This took over 10 minutes for them to prepare in a drive through where I was the only one there
