Ryan Tejeda and crew are the best around. When I eat at McCalister’s in Longview, I see the way Ryan treats his staff and customers alike. He is caring and compassionate showing a strong pride in his work and the establishment. Being his former teacher, I am beyond proud of him and his work and product. Being raised in the restaurant industry, I look at all aspects of a restaurant experience. Ryan runs a smooth oiled machine and one of the cleanest restaurants in Longview. It’s a favorite.

The lady who was working as the cashier was very rude. They were standing around talking when we walked in. We weren't greeted. Then when I was trying to order something she acted as if I needed to hurry. There wasn't anyone in line behind us. All of the tables were dirty with food all over the floor. The food was good as usual. Rude girl needs to start cleaning instead of talking.

The food tasted good like always, but they left out 1 order of chips and there was no container for the bread bowl of chili, and the chips we did get were fewer than normal as well. Lance made my McAlister’s day! After a loooooong hot day of shopping, I needed my sweet tea and a Brookie. I ordered and went to looking for my pocketbook only to realize I’d left it back at Dillard’s. I was just devastated. I started to walk away in desperation and couldn’t believe when I heard “m’am, don’t worry. I’ve got you. “ The sweet kid behind the register pulled out his wallet and paid for my treat. I will never forget his name because it absolutely made my day. I will be back soon and sure hope to see Lance behind the register. I would love to repay him.

I have not had a better experience with a manager being so helpful as I have Ryan at the Longview McAlister location. I had a catering order and he made sure every issue I was having online was taken care of. When I arrived I needed to make an add on he immediately took care of it and had everything ready for me. He went over and beyond what he had to do and that is rare in customer service these days.

Jordan, in Longview Texas, was so nice and helpful when I couldn’t get my McAlister’s app to work. He put in my phone # 📞 so that I could use my points. And then our two salads were literally being carried out to our table before we could even sit down. HOW do they make food so fast? The food was delicious as usual. Edit: I've noticed that management cares about their customers' input/opinions and suggestions. As previously stated, I eat here at least once a week, if not more. I've noticed that there are a few people walking the floor checking to see if you need a refill or if there is anything you need. It's just a nice "Southern Hospitality Flare" that totally changes the atmosphere. Everyone join me and leave a tip, hand them a few $$$ for making your dining experience all the better. Thank you, McAlister's management(Allison & Jordan at this location, she's amazing!)for actually reading my review. I found it important to add this edit. It's wonderful to see the smiling faces drop by your table a couple of times just to check on you and see if you need anything. Also, a new wheelchair ramp (see pictures) has been put in place, and it's so much easier to get on the sidewalk. The tables have been removed from in front of the ♿️ parking so I can get out of the vehicle and if I'm in my wheelchair I have plenty of room to roll on the sidewalk and safely get into the restaurant.💕 It feels good to change it to 5 ⭐️'s! Great food choices! Best tea in Texas!! Many things have changed over the years, but one thing that's stayed the same is the quality of their food. Let me not forget, you will always walk through the door and see smiling faces. I truly wanted to give this particular restaurant 5 ⭐️'s because I'm here at least once a week. But often times I have to use my wheelchair and I struggle to get into the restaurant bec there are tables on the sidewalk in front of the handicap parking. I also have to find someone to help me to use their restroom because I can't open the door. Even if I'm using my forearm crutches, I can't open the door. Lately (last 6 months), it has been very rare that someone will come by your table and ask if you'd like a refill or if you need anything. I know most people don't leave a tip on the table, but we give a tip to any person that stops at our table. I'm not sure if the company policy changed or what happened, but it has changed the atmosphere in the restaurant. Here's what keeps us coming back: amazing food with a lot of food choices, smiling faces, their tea, and we love the rewards from the app that's very easy to use. Naomi was super sweet and patient taking our order. She even asked if I needed to scan to earn points; some McAllisters I have to ask them and they sigh having to go back a screen.

Their food is always delicious and fresh. Tip for ordering from the app. Something always goes wrong when I order anything special from the app, from leaving off the jalapeños to packing my table side order for take out. I recommend ordering from the counter if you have any special requests. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

I would have given 5 stars, but there were no tables inside so we had to sit outside in the heat. Also, the outside area where we sat was by the road. It was very loud. The food was excellent. I ordered half a Reuben and a veggie spud. It was under $8 for my meal. The tea is $2.19. It is served in a very large cup and you get free refills.

The restroom reeked of urine and was by far not the cleanest. Do I visit a restaurant for the cleansiness of the restroom? No, but it does make an impact on your stay in return.

My husband and I went for dinner tonight. We both ordered a king club. I subbed turkey for the ham but was charge for the turkey. I asked for my sandwich to come out hot which it did not. My husband's did. I sent it back and told them they could even heat it up with the microwave just so I could eat dinner with him and his food not be cold. They bring my sandwich back out hot where I notice out of all the bread there isn't even enough meat for the top layer on the whole sandwich. This is now the second time my sandwich went back. I got the manager, who was very nice, he refunded my money, but the point is that was our dinner. My husband ate and after having to send something so simple back twice I did not want it remade because I was irritated and had already told my husband to eat his food. So I went home with no dinner. I order from here almost everyday I normally do curbside pickup, but do to circumstances I wasn’t able to make it so I decided to get my food delivered today. *Editing to update... The general manager reached out to me about this matter, although I was unavailable, I appreciate the concern. They said they spoke with the staff about this matter so it won't happen again. They also sent reward points, which equates to a meal. While I wasn't hurt, I just want people to be aware..it doesn't matter what restaurant it is. Toothpick inside my sandwich. I have been to this location several times, so I know when you dine in, they put a toothpick in your sandwich. I have also ordered pickup several times and have never had a toothpick. I ordered a 9:40pm pickup, drove to work, and I started eating(McAllisters had already closed so I couldn't go back up there) I bit into something hard...it hurt my front teeth. I look and there's a toothpick LAYING INSIDE my sandwich between the lettuce. It wasn't stabbed in to hold it. There was no hole in the bread...it was laying inside. So be warned and look inside your sandwich before you take a bite. And the guy at the register was distracted by his phone...you won't miss anything to lay it down for 10 seconds.

I ordered a choose 2. I got ½ blt avacado, guess what, no avacado and no dressing. It's literally the name of the sandwich. I also ordered a savanna salad with extra cheese. they used to be really good but have gotten SUPER stingy with the meat. they also use trickery by putting a thick layer JUST on the edge of where they cut (middle) so it looks like you have meat but open up and its almost bare…see my pic. 9.69 for the pick 2 then add 1.25 for premium sandwich that looked terrible. Very thin burnt bread with a tiny dab of avocado and thin bacon that was overcooked. Potato soup tasted rancid and watery. The other sandwich looked about a 1/3 smaller than it used to very little portion. The chicken snd dumpling soup was almost all broth . 23.69. Will never go back and neither will any of our family. I can get more elsewhere for less money.

One star for the cashier flipping the screen around asking for a tip after simply taking my order. Pay your employees a living wage and stop making your employees panhandle to make ends meet. Asking for a 30% tip for simply taking my order at the counter is bonkers.

Ordered online for curbside pickup, got an email that said it would be ready at 4:47, after still not receiving my food by 5:15, I went inside where my food was bagged up and sitting on the counter. The door and eat in an orderly manner or time frame getting in the door is the hardest part of the whole experience iv been eating at the Judson road location since it opened but the past few years the service has gone so downhill it best just to leave if there’s a line to the door Rude pushy customers combined with slow chaotic check out services make this place not appealing at any time of day The seating is packed on a slow day making it hard to find a seat even for just 2 people after they changed the design of the dinning area I miss the way this place used to be If its good cheep food with a great atmosphere this isn’t the place anymore

Spent $20 for a spud, just for the spud to not come with sour cream like they normally are supposed to. It was also extremely overcooked. How does that happen.? Wasn’t able to mix the toppings up good. But hey at least they remembered the sugar cookie. I left a review on DoorDash as well.
