Food: Outstanding Service: Outstanding. They go out of their way to please customers. Atmosphere: Best fish in Longview so it's a busy place. Still, it seems to be just right. Highly recommend eating in the restaurant. The food is best right when its served.

For the price point of their boils I feel it's unmatched. Only thing I regret is not having a bigger appetite to try more dishes.

Ordered 5 lbs of crawfish today. They were medium in size and all I can say is whomever is cooking them today, the Catch needs to give him/her a big Ole fat raise. They tasted perfect and they peeled Oh so easy. They were EXCELLENT!

The fish was fresh and delicious. The portions are huge. We wanted sweet potato fries and upgraded our meals to include them;however, they realized they were out after we paid. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. This is a counter serve restaurant with a very nice outdoor dining area, that they keep plenty warm despite the cool weather. Despite being a counter serve restaurant, we were checked on many times throughout our dining experience. Great food and great service!!!

Wife & I moved back & been in Longview for almost a year now. Decided to go to Jersey Mike's for a sub 3 days ago and saw this place (The Catch) next door and said we should try them. Well 2 days later on Friday at 6:49pm we show up and WOW😲, there was at least 10 vehicles in the drive thru line and several vehicles in the parking spaces. So I parked and went inside to order our takeout. There were several people inside and in their outdoor patio waiting on their order and others who had already got their order to dine in. The hostess that took my order right away was very kind and helpful to make sure that I got all I needed on my order. I ordered 2 / Catfish Fillet Baskets & coleslaw. They were moving orders one after another promptly. I had my order in hand and out the door in 12 minutes 👍, and there was still at least 10 vehicles in the drive thru lane. Their prices are very competitive to other eateries in the area. When we got home we were absolutely impressed with the amount of catfish we got in our basket order and the taste was amazing to us. This was our first time there and we are looking forward to trying more different items on their menu. I will recommend this small establishment to anyone who wants catfish & to try any other items on their menu without having to go to the large restaurant atmosphere. I have been eating here with my boyfriend for 3 years now. It is very delicious. I recommend it if you'd like to try something new:) It's one of those places that we go to when nothing else sounds good. Oh and don't even get me started on the gumbo. I was mortified of eating gumbo when we first met, and now I love it! ❤️ their gumbo is yummy & so are the cheesy grits. They also make their sweet teas Just right!

I like the food and atmosphere because it makes me feel like I am in one of fishhouses along the East or Gulf Coast. Everything l saw looked wonderful, But it was all steamed or Fried. My meal was so good, but my doctor would not think so.

Oh my goodness! We are not from Longview. We read the reviews and decided to get take out from The Catch. We both ordered the Admirals Feast. There was enough food on 1 of these to feed 3 or 4 people. It was wonderful! The fried green tomatoes were great too. Plenty of sauces, plastic silverware, ketchup, salt and pepper were included. The housekeeping ladies got to enjoy mine as well just couldn't eat it all. Highly recommend!

1000% great! Got the Fried Shrimp po Boy Plate, and Shrimp and Catfish Platter. Shrimp po boy was the best ive ever had!!! Was skeptical when the menu said "popcorn shrimp po boy". I was worried that the shrimp were gonna be too small. Boy was i wrong. The shrimp were butterflied and huge!! They were fried to perfection. Batter was on point and seasoned well. Roumalade sauce is awesome. Catfish was also perfectly cooked. And the Beignets!!!! TREAT YO SELF!!!! The staff was also friendly and helpful and answered a couple of my questions. I also appreciated how quickly the servers turn the tables. As soon as a guest got up from the table after their meal was done, the staff immediately cleaned the table, ready for the next guest. I love it when the staff is on it. Well done guys!!!

We had heard about this place and decided to give it a try. We typically go to the more well known crawfish place an hour or so away from here, but recently we haven't been very pleased with the food or service. We are so pleasantly surprised with The Catch! This place is busy, for good reason. The food was so good, fresh, hot, and cooked to order. The staff was so courteous and nice! Manager came by several times to ask how we were doing. He was running food as well. Oh, and before I forget, you get complimentary beer and margaritas! I think we found our new favorite place!!!

I drive by this place because I frequent Wallys World up the street. Parking lot packed, thought I'd give it a shot. I ordered the 6 piece catfish basket with shrimp. Juicy not overcooked. Fried (tomatos) maters! Holy moly! The dipping sauce was like some kind deliciousness. The young lady in the drive through is an absolute gem. I asked what she would recommend because I was needing comfort food, she suggested the Crawfish Fries and queso with a side of Pico De Gallo. (She definitely knows the way to a mans heart.) Absolute must try, underrated and packed with full of flavor. The queso wasn't salty, it was savory, the crawfish fried to perfection. The fries tender yet crispy. The Gallo slight hint of lime and cilantro to and another level of flavor to this generous portion.I'll be back.

Such a great place to eat! The seafood was delicious. We ordered The Admiral because it was kind of a sampler of a lot of their foods and it was massive! The two of us got 2 full meals from it. I had also gotten a house salad thinking it was a side salad, but it was a full size, and good, salad. I took some of the fried crawfish from the Admiral and added it to my salad and really enjoyed that. Fried oyster was my favorite. My boyfriend loved it all and he is a very picky eater. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun and the customer service is excellent!! Prices are very fair. It's our new favorite seafood restaurant.

After recently having crab legs at Skippers Pier in Gladewater, I was hesitant to get them again as it was a disappointment. I am really glad I got them! The crab legs were cooked just right! The legs were a sexy amount of crab meat and was hot and fresh. The shells cracked as they should.. I will be back! Thank you boys. The workers were very pleasant and hardworking. Great place.

This was my first time here, & I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was pleasant & the staff were friendly & accommodating. I had the fried fish tacos. They were not skimpy, as you can see. I was happy about that. I will, 100% of the time, be surprised to find cheese on a fish dish, but...it's tacos, in Texas, so I should've anticipated it. They were hot & fresh. Even finishing the 2nd one about an hour later was still good. Awesome food, great price!! 👍👍

Hush puppies were well flavored, though a little dry. Grilled shrimp were flavored and cooked well. You get a good deal of food for your cash! I love that even though I ate a lot of fried food, I didn't feel overwhelmed by salt or grease. I had the catfish and shrimp and nothing was dry or overcooked. Great grits and meaty gumbo as well.

This is about as close as I've come to getting a big old bowl of crawfish etouffee that was almost like my step mom's! 4.5 The Catch was a great find in Longview. The food was fresh and hot. Even though they were pretty busy we received our food quickly. The shrimp tacos were good, the tortilla they used was a great choice. The fried shrimp basket filled up my teenager, for the moment. The salad was the only reason for not a full 5 Stars there were no fish options, that he noticed, and it was only ice-burg lettuce. Overall it was a good experience and we would go back.

The Catch was a great discovery that we tried while passing through. The staff were attentive, patient, and helpful when ordering. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon, there was a steady flow of traffic entering the doors to grab a bite to eat. I love the fact that they offer dine in, carryout, or drive-thru. We opted to dine in but didn't want to spend too much time delaying but I was pleased that it took longer to decide what to order than it did to receive our food. We ordered the fried green tomatoes to start and it was enough for our party of four to share. We also tried the Catch 22, fried catfish basket, and 2 lb of crawfish. The bill was under $90 and it was worth it. Everything was delicious and there was no skimping on the portions which we appreciate. The Catch was great and if I'm in the area again it is definitely a spot I would patronize again.

On 5/12/2024 we ordered 2 of the family meals and 2 orders of fried Oysters to go. When they handed me my food I asked was all the food in the bags/container he said yes. I went home and found one of my large sides was missing. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager and he argued with me at first and said that I didn't order that side and I said yes I did it's on my receipt right here in my hand. So he looked again and said oh yes you did I am sorry, I then heard him tell the kitchen guy you missed one of his sides and the kitchen guy said he didn't order that and the manager said yes he did. The manager then said we will have it ready for you when you arrive. I went back and my food was still not ready. Had to wait another 10 minutes. Just poor service.

Not keto friendly. Tried to get shrimp with no rice or bread, they served it anyway. First time, may me last. The music was uncomfortably loud.

First I should say we eat here a lot and love this place. And we love it! The service is always great. But today, the manager who is always so nice and fun was not there. We walked in and the girl working the drive through was on her phone, I literally stood in front of her just on the other side of the counter and she did not look up, ever, for about a good minute maybe more. Then another person finally came from the dining area and took our order. The hush puppies were cold, the fries were not well done as requested, and we ordered 5 catfish and the fifth one was about a quarter the size of the other 4. We will be back, but if there is no manager we won't stay. And they were out of queso.

Order fried fish, shrimp and oysters. Went through the drive thru, when I placed my order in the vehicle and could smell burnt oil. All were cooked in burnt oil which makes for nasty tasting food, oysters were under cooked, shrimp was rubbery so over cooked. Won't be going back.

VERY unfriendly staff. The blonde lady who takes your seems to be very annoyed all the time. Food is ok. But don't expect a smile, a thank you or any pleasantries. You get the feeling they dont want you there. Oh and they used to give you a beer or a margarita with your order - well no more for that one redeeming feature.

I've been here 6 times since November 2024. I always get take-out. Usually takes less than 15 minutes from the time I order till the time I walk out the door. I have always gone there on Friday around 6:30pm and the food has always been good. One time I went on a Saturday at the same time and my catfish filet was over cooked and hard on the ends, hush puppies & fries were very soft and soggy. Today I went in and placed my take-out order at 6:09pm and after 25 minutes I questioned my order and found out that someone took my order off the board. The person I spook to had to setup a reorder and told me they would add some gumbo to my order for the inconvenience. I waited for 15 more minutes to get my order and finally left at 6:52pm 😡. Well I got home with my catfish and the complementary gumbo but my coleslaw was nowhere to be found. Now I'm really pissed 😡😡. I should have check before I left but my blood pressure was already starting to sky rocket and I just wanted to get home. Take-out anymore is a crap shoot just about anywhere you go 😡. Two screw ups on one order is unacceptable. I will be looking to go somewhere else for my catfish & seafood. This establishments revenue for 2025 will be at least $600 less than 2024.. Any other customer's reading this, you have been warned!!!!

Went through drive thru and it took a while. I was OK with the wait since it should be fresh but once we got the food it wasn't good at all. The craw fish were really tough and not the red/pink inside they should be. Leading me to believe they weren't alive and fresh when cooked or well over cooked. Shells were also soft instead of firm when taking them apart. Last 2 times have not been good quality. Used to be our favorite place for lunch but not so much now.

This is a drive thru review I have always been satisfied eating in. Too many times to count. 1st time at drive thru. Simple order. Ordered seafood gumbo. Got home. Had sausage gumbo. No other meat other than sausage. Extremely disappointed and definitely not worth it. Eat in. Apparently they don't respect the drive-thru customer.

Food is overpriced for what you receive. Husband got the catfish and shrimp basket. I got two pounds of crawfish. The catfish was three small strips with more breading then fish. The crawfish was so tiny.

I placed my order and waited patiently for 43 minutes for 3 lbs of crawfish. I politely inquired about my order and I was told by the cashier that they only had one cook and it wasn’t ready yet. I waited another 10 minutes and still no food. I requested a refund and was told by the manager that they didn’t give refunds on boiled items. I asked if that was posted somewhere and he said I can’t say yes or no. I agreed to take the food and escalate my concerns higher up. He went to the back for about 5 minutes came back and rudely said I’m gonna give you your money back. I asked him for his name and he refused and walked off. He did say that the owner said not to give refunds on boiled items so I wonder if the owner is gonna see this and provide feedback. I work for a well known company that orders from this location a-lot and I will make sure to spread my experience. Customers should not be treated rudely because of short staff, especially if I wasn’t being rude to the staff. Let’s see how far this goes because I am very disappointed in the manager and how he chose to treat a paying customer. What if he treated 3 out of every 5 customers this way!!!

We have eaten here alot. They must be under new management because we were left sitting there while other people were served. They brought our food and not our drinks. We were told they were out of the cups. That would have been fine if they hadn't given drinks to the order after ours. Thw waitress shrugged her shoulders and walked off. No one returned to our table. I had to get a manager and she seemed like it was no big deal either. Train the young people working for you and retrain management in customer service.

We just ordered from Door Dash and The Catch didn't give us half of our Order. I ordered Catfish and white rice, l didn't receive the rice or any Tartar sauce to eat my Catfish with, Manager basically tried to blame it on Door Dash saying since it was Door Dash there's nothing he could do. What ever happened to Customer Service? It wouldn't be a big deal if we hadn't paid $45 to get it delivered. "The Catch" needs to slow down and process their current orders, instead of rushing through orders just to make money.

Have been many times an always tipped cooks an brag on food always would get blackened catfish an fried shrimp would always be perfect braggedall the time on the food. But today I tried ordering what I always get. But before I even finished telling what I wanted the lady taking order had my total. She did not take the time to hear me. Got grilled whitefish an the shrimp was overcooked rubbery. When she came to get our plates I lether know how awful the food was so Disappointed. The female cooks were not there it was males. I always bragged about I am never disappointed when I eat there food very consistent always delight. Not today

We just got fish and shrimp and the oil they fried it in was burnt which made the food taste burnt, usually it's pretty good but not today.

I ordered a popcorn shrimp basket for my wife. The shrimp was so spicy hot it was not edible. I call and they said bring it back. I guess they didn’t believe me. My order was over $50. My solution to this problem, is I want go back. I have been a regular customer for years, but something has changed with their personnel and they have a “I don’t care attitude”.

Payed $14 for shrimp and grits just to get rice instead one spoon of rice to be exact horrible never going back

Yall just lost our business. We will not eat at the catch again. I ordered a shrimp and crawfish combo with tarter sauce and didn't get any shrimp nor my tarter sauce. The fries are cold and greasy. Then when I call to tell yall about it, you want me to drive all the way back across town with the food so yall can remake it but yall sure aren't paying for the extra gas I have to use to go back nor paying for my time that you already wasted. Just spent good hard earned money there to get poor quality food and poor service. I'll be sure to let my friends and family here in Longview know that they shouldn't do business with you. I have the pictures to prove it as well. Multiple customer loss because yall can't make things simple.

Had not been here in years. Wish I had not ordered the snow crab. 😒 was severely disappointed. Ate less than 1 cluster and just could NOT eat anymore. Everything else was great. The food my family ordered was good. One of the staff came by to ask if I was done, as I had set it on the table next to us. I told her I was done, but it was not very good. She took it, threw it away, and then never offered to make it right. I never make a fuss. That is why I just put it on the table. But, when she asked and I said it was not good, she should have offered something... just poor service, in my opinion.

My husand and I visited The Catch located on 4th st in Longview and we were very disappointed. We specifically asked for catfish and got swai (Vietnamese catfish not American catfish). The fish was gummy and not good at all This is the second time we've had this problem the first time it was corrected, but the second time it was not corrected, no one could seem to find the fresh catfish and didn't seem happy when we complained so we will not be going back and wouldn't recommend THE CATCH to anyone. The fish on the left is SWAI (Vietnamese Catfish) The fish on the right is (REAL CATFISH) American Cornbread Battered Catfish you can see the difference. This is what we got our first time at THE CATCH when they corrected it.

Best place I’ve eaten in town by far (3 years ago) 5 stars Update (2024/10/23 8:00PM): Rating: 1 Star This used to be my favorite spot in town, and I’ve spent over $250 here in the past year alone. However, tonight was very disappointing. My daughter and I each ordered a bowl of étouffée, as we usually do, but the rice-to-étouffée ratio was about 4:1 instead of the usual 1:1. The dish completely lacked seasoning, tasting like spicy rice water with no salt or flavor beyond the heat. When I brought this up to our server, she took both bowls and threw them away without any follow-up. I had to walk inside to request either a refund or gumbo replacements to-go. They only gave us one bowl of gumbo for the two bowls of étouffée we had paid for. Sadly, the customer service was just as disappointing as the meal which I could have overlooked. I say this as I sit in the restaurant writing this review, wondering if I’ll be back anytime soon. I can no longer recommend this place.

I usually love the food but last night I got fried crawfish and it was very tough and dry so I didn’t keep eating it to prevent food poisoning. However I still felt sick after eating a small amount and am currently very sick from it. Please don’t serve crawfish to your customers if it’s in that state.

Absolutely, the worse service experienced in a long time when an order was not satisfactory. Most notably the Manager who didn’t have a clue how to handle an unhappy customer. My husband picked up a to go order tonight with the same menu items we have ordered consistently for years. The fish portion on one of the meals was minuscule. He went back to restaurant to complain and the “couldn’t Care Less” Mgr said there was nothing he could do. No apologies, no effort to make it good. Will never go back. Beware if your order comes out wrong, this place will not make it right. This is what we received for 2 fish filets.

I go here often for red beans and rice and gumbo. The last two times I've gotten almost no food and mostly water in my soup. Happened again today and got no crackers, plus my soda was flat as a pancake.
