Really good, authentic Korean food. The place is lovely and the service was terrific. The dishes aren’t cheap, but the portions are good, and the food is very high quality. The pan chan (side dishes) are delicious and generous. Really grateful to have this as a local Korean option!
They're open for outdoor AND indoor seating now, as of the time of this post!! ☺️ This place has fantastic quality food for good value (filling portions) - and their servers are always super nice! They also have mixed grain rice and yummy side dishes. One of our favorite go-tos in the Bay. Definitely underrated. (Pictured: chicken bi bim bap!)
Spicy pork had the perfect spice level and great char. Bulgogi was delicious. Seafood pancake was outstanding. Would absolutely come back to try the rest of the menu.
I recently tried this Korean restaurant and loved the restaurant delivery robots that made the experience fun and futuristic. The food was authentic and delicious, with a great variety on the menu. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend for a unique and enjoyable dining experience.
Good food. Came for dinner midweek and the restaurant wasn't too busy. Tofu soup and short ribs were awesome. Plenty of parking.
Randomly walked in for a late lunch. It was mid afternoon so not crowded. Ordered the sundubu jigae and was very happy for the comfort food it was. The amount was sufficient for 2 to share. The banchans were absolutely delicious and generous portions. Highly recommended.
Took parents to lunch. They liked that it is not spicy as requested. We got bulgogi, seafood pancake, combination tofu soup. We got full on ban chan and rice while we waited a little. The food is great and service nice.
This was my first time trying Korean food and I am glad I did that at Su Dam. Loved the food. Tried the soupy ramyeon with beef and steamed dumplings. The sides of kimchi, spinach, pumpkin and bean sprouts are good too. Portion sizes are wholesome, you might want to share it. Staff is friendly and welcoming and the ambience soothing and calm. The robot serving food is fun addition. Overall a great experience. The place is on pricier side but worth it.
Souper souper enjoyed the Tofu soup. We went here because we were supposed to go to another Korean Tofu resto in El Camino but they were closing early so we decided to try this place. And it was a good thing because we felt that this place served even better Tofu soup. We liked that they offer choices on what to put in the soup and just the taste was perfect to eat during a rainy night. Also servers were very accommodating and friendly, bec I got confused and mentioned one order but later realized that I ordered something different than what I wanted but they were gracious when I asked them to change and quickly ran to the kitchen to change my order. Order saved, happy customer.
I love this restaurant. The place is always very neat and comfortable. The service is always on point. They are very nice and friendly. And the food is absolutely delicious. The ingredients are always super fresh. I love the bibimbap. It’s the best Korean food I ever had.
Great service. Plenty of parking in the area. If you can’t find parking theres spots in the back of the plaza. They have a cool robot server and the servers are all friendly! It is pretty good authentic korean food and has good side dishes as well
Nice interior, professional and friendly staff, authentic healthy food. You even get a free appetizer plate. I paid $33 for lunch incl. a diet coke and a 18 percent tip. Only downside is that sodas are disproportionally expensive, I consider $4 for a can of Coke too expensive. An issue I saw at several restaurants in America is that sometimes the food is not (temperature) hot enough. I assume this is because some of the food is pre-prepared and then just re-heated. I had this issue at this restaurant too with beef.

I'm surprised about the low ratings. I loved the food and the service was amazing and so friendly.

We ordered chicken soup/ Hanbang Dakgomtang from here for delivery on the regular. It's comforting, flavorful, and easy to digest. I recommend ordering it for yourself or if you need to send soup to a friend or family who needs a little love.
If you want ti experience authentic home-style Korean food, this is the place to go. There are other Korean places that are fancy, trendy, and loud, Su-Dam feels like going to my aunt's place, for a warm home cooked meal. I recommend Seafood pancake, soon-tofu, pork bbq, and yookgaejang. Check it out!

Pretty good korean food - despite not being in Santa Clara korean town area. The spicy pork is tasty and the pancake is pretty good. Plenty of side dishes. It's a good place to visit as alternative to Jang Su Jang or Tobang. Not super crowded, and parking available on the strip mall parking lot.
Convenient location to find Korean food without having to drive to Koreatown. Fresh food, superb kimchee, nice ox bone broth. Not cheap, but reasonable. Bright lights, very clean, and quick service. Kimchee side dishes are fine, not standout. It would be nice to have a couple different more side dishes minus the mayo. Fried dumplings felt a bit like a dessert. Cold buckwheat noodle soup with side vinegar and mustard requires a curious eater to try, but it's a cool refresher in the summer. Two chilis on the menu means very hot, so keep the paper napkin handy to mop up the sweat. Spicy leftovers is extremely good the next day. Noodle dishes are perfect for kids. Avoid the rice drink that has bits of rice paper texture. Open all afternoon. If you don't leave a Korean restaurant feeling bursting full, then don't go back there.
Update review 12/2021 I like come here because you don't have to wait like other places. Frankly, their foods are pretty good. Very similar to other Korean restaurants in the area. I've had their cold noodle, spicy soup noodle, and their BBQ. They do it for you and not the kind you do on your own table and BBQ yourself. I had the seafood tofu, not the best I've had but one of the better one. Taste good. The bimbimbap was pretty good as well. You leave the rice unstir and you will get crispy bottom. The most interesting thing is the robot server. The coolest thing. It brings all the utensils, food and stuff to you. Really cool. ------------ I always order the Naengmyoun (cold noodle) in the summer. They're always on sale in the summer. I wish they put more beef in though. Tonight they only have 6 small plates, unlike some Korean BBQ restaurant which offer more small dishes.
Been here 3 times now and each time I’m just pleasantly surprised at how satisfying the food is. My experience with Korean cuisine is usually just AYCE KBBQ. But wow! After eating here multiple times I can safely say I think I can skip all that fanfare and crowded areas and smoke. Entering Su-Dam you have such a nice, quiet and laidback atmosphere along with very simple yet pleasing decor. Everything is clean especially the restrooms and the food and service is always on point. For reviews that say it’s a bit pricey I understand but I think given the location food and service it makes sense. If you’re ever craving Korean cuisine give this place a try, I doubt you’ll be disappointed. Wife and I have tried their version of chicken noodle soup. Tofu soup. Bulgogi Hot plate. And beef Bibimbap plate (the larger plate not the bowl) and each time we just had a comforting feeling. I end up skipping a trip to Teaspoon down the hall because I’m just satisfied with what I ate I don’t wanna ruin it. Please stop by and enjoy!
Food was good. We had Bibimbap which was big. Tofu soup was small. Pancake was large. Service was good. It was more on the pricy side. 2 people 3 dishes after tax and tips almost $90..
Delicious and authentic well made Korean food. High quality ingredients. Price however is quite a bit higher than other similar quality restaurants making it not as good value. Good ambiance, great place for family and hangouts with friends. Banchan is very delicious with crab roe pumpkin, kimchi, bean sprouts, and the usual green veggie. Ordered the pork bulgogi which was very tasty and well cooked served on a hot cast iron plate. Seafood pancake was quite large and well portioned for 4 people. Cold beef noodle soup was good as well although not a lot of beef. Seafood tofu soup was tasty but a relatively small bowl. Service was quick and friendly.
its saur good but a lil pricey,, food was good & had a lot of options,, i had the chicken ginseng soup vv good,, a lot to eat,, i to-goed what i couldnt eat (& the lid doesn't have a hole on top do no spilling yay) the banchan was coolio too,, thought it was funny they had american music playing tho LOLLL
Came here with a group of 15 today and it was great since the place was empty and there was room to fit all of us. Good: The appetizer ban Chan here is great - they refill it too and their pumpkin is tasty! Super solid fish tofu too. I got their spicy beef noodle soup which had a ton of noodle which I really liked and it was really huge portion sizes — a great value. Bad: The service takes a while with a group as big as ours which was expected - the place didn’t have dishes that were like super super amazing but it was a solid Korean place and good for groups.
Su-Dam Korean Cuisine offers delicious and comforting Korean fare, perfect for a relaxed and satisfying lunch. Their specialty is undoubtedly the Korean stews (jjigae) served simmering in traditional bubbling pots. My personal favorite is the beef short rib soup. The melt-in-your-mouth tender beef and flavorful broth are a true delight. Paired with the variety of complimentary banchan (side dishes), it creates a complete and delightful lunch experience.
Food is tasty. Service could have been better given the price point Third time here and it's not a bad place. I just expect a little more given the price point.

Side dishes here are quite good, and refilled very nicely by the staff. If you don't enjoy eating Korean noodles / soups, this might not be the place for you. They don't have single orders of bulgogi at normal prices (cheapest meat dish is 23$), so if you aren't sharing, you'll have to get some sort of noodle / soup, which is made averagely, but overall a bit more expensive than other places you can find nearby in san jose.
Cool robot go beep beep but food is average. Cool robot that serves food can’t sway me to giving this place anything more than average. The bibimbap was alright, too many cucumbers. The dol sot did not really give that crispy rice which was disappointing. It gave kinda crispy but not really and barely any. The banchan was good everyone gets their own banchan which I have not seen before. Overall service was above average but food was average.
The food was nice, just the service lady was really pushy and impatient. What a shame for such nice restaurant 🥲
I'm so sorry but the food is lacking taste. It's pretty bland and to my surprise this place was given a high rating. The service staff were very professional and I appreciate it but if it should taste the dishes before sending it to their customers. I don't know if the restaurant altered the taste to suit the local taste buds but the chef definitely needs to reconsider the quality of the dishes. The kimchi was very watered down.
The food is just ok, seafood tofu soup doesn’t have too much flavor, and only have little seafood inside, not spicy at all even you get extra spicy. The small dishes are actually better than the full size dishes.

Hours listed that they're open at 3pm on Saturday, but this wasn't true -- Went down to be told they were closed. Please update your profile to avoid wasting time, thank you.
All the banchan had way too much salt. The bibimbap and sundubu lacked flavor and barely had any vegetable/meat. The pricing is steeper compared to other Korean joints in Palo Alto and Santa Clara and the quality is lacking.
Not great. The kimchi doesn’t taste authentic. I got cold noodles only 2 tiny pieces of meat and not enough veggies. Not coming again
I was craving for Gam Ja Tang and I saw the restaurant review and I thought it would be good so I gave it a try. I ate Gam Ja Tang for so many times. And this is the worst one, the soup tastes sour and the meat tastes reheated. I questioned myself in my head, is the soup supposed to be sour? No doubt, now I’m having a stomach pain.
Waited over 20 minutes after being seated without anyone taking our order, while staff continued to serve other tables and even new customers who arrived after us. Completely unorganized and lacking basic attentiveness. Ended up walking out and taking our business elsewhere. Will not be returning or recommending this place.
