Banana Bay Eat Radiance is a solid choice for flavorful Thai food. The gai lan with pork was cooked perfectly, with tender pork and crisp greens coated in a savory, well-balanced sauce, while the tom kha was rich, creamy, and aromatic with just the right balance of coconut, tang, and warmth. Everything tasted fresh, portions were generous, and the overall experience was very satisfying—definitely a place worth coming back to.

Seems like a popular spot for parties. The food is not bad, the fried squid was very crispy and the garlic pot rice was flavorful. Tom kha soup was a little too creamy for my liking. It's quite loud inside. Parking is hard on weekend nights as the plaza surrounding the restaurant is very busy.
actually, most terrible service here.. but food is great. I stood at the entrance for 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged I was there—multiple staff members walked right past me like I was invisible. When I was finally seated, the service remained cold and dismissive. It’s a shame because the kitchen is talented; the dishes are authentic and delicious. However, no meal is worth being treated this poorly. Pro tip: Get it to-go. Don't bother dining in and wasting your time standing at the door.
Came to Banana Bay as a midway point between LA friends for late Friday night dinner. On Nov 7, Halloween decor was still up, and there was a Thriller dance break, which was pretty fun. Banana Bay is really unique - Thai food meets nightclub. Not the place to have a conversation and catch up with friends, but super fun to get drinks, enjoy good food, and party with live entertainment. We stumbled upon their Friday night live music, which was fun. It is a bit hot and hard to hear - even the staff had a hard time hearing us. But I think it depends on the time you come in. Parking can be hectic in the larger lot, so we opted for parking on the opposite side of the complex. We ordered the chicken satay, house pad thai, green curry, and spicy beef, which were all excellent. For 3 people (4 with a drink), including drinks and tip, the total came out to around 100 or 33$/person. Overall a fun spot.
Chinese Thai Food. Everything will be more sweet and definitely different from Thai food. Never been to this new location. It's also been ages since visiting Banana Bay. They have happy hour, cheaper beer and alcoholic drinks everyday after 6pm! Parking can be difficult after 530pm on a weekend. Its a popular plaza. Halloween entrance decor is super cute! The front fish tank is really sad (very crowded with enormous fishes).
Parking - very bad. Very small. It can be crowded very easily. Restaurant - very clean. If you go at the right time it wouldn’t be too busy. Server - I feel really bad. Very under staffed. One server to 10 tables. Always had to flag them down for refills, ordering food, ordering more food, utensils, and plates. Food - was delicious. Can never go wrong with curry and noodles. Dessert is always a plus!! Band - they were Soo good. Sang to all of the songs. Overall, everything is great and always looking forward to coming back.

The food is always good and you can't beat the happy hour. They got a small bump down because they have live music sometimes and it's just really loud. Other than that great place.

This place is well decorated but I am not sure the food is safe to eat. I came here 5 times and I got stomachache/ diarrhea 4 times. I noticed the food got cold when it arrived to the table. I am not sure if Thai food supposed to be sweet but all the fried rices/noodles dishes I ordered were too sweet. About the people who work there, they're super friendly, staff are so helpful. Be aware, this is not a regular restaurant, it's more like a bar. People drink and talk super loud. The lightning is a little too dark for me. If there's hair on the table, you won't be able to see it.
This restaurant is spacious. It's huge. Love their decor. Awesome ambiance and atmosphere. Their food is very authentic. It's definitely homemade. Got the yellow curry. Tons of chicken. Flavor was decent. It needed more onions. Paid $11.95 for lunch special. Great price. Service is okay. Not the best.
I've been coming to banana bay for over 15 years. The quality has decreased post covid. I wonder if their original chef retired. My tom yum noodle soup tasted like a 2 flavor profile instead of the previous 5, so more simplified less flavorful. My minced meat over rice had bulky chunks that made it less texturally accurate and was sloppy execution. It used to be exquisite and better seasoned too. Best thing was that they had a band singing old R&B songs, that was great nostalgic vibes.
First time here on a Friday. The restaurant is packed! The food is tasty but made me super thirsty. The price is reasonable/inexpensive. Great for family, kids, crowds and people enjoy sport bar like atmosphere. They have live music so free entertainment. The servers are super busy that we needed to flag them down for utensils, water refills, missing order, and check. Overall not too bad.

Bananan Bay was my go-to Thai restaurant since it opened. They were known for excellent service and Thai food. But on this visit, I noticed the service was not as good as it used to be, and the waiters and waitresses were not the same as before. Even the management was different, which may be why the service was not good. We were a group of 16 people for a party and a reunion. We started without any iced water for everyone, and some of us didn’t get any, even at the end of our party. The waitress only came to take our food orders and deliver the food, and then we never saw her again! One of our friends had to get a jug of water to refill our glasses. Some of the food we used to like did not taste the same. I hope the management reads this feedback because if you let this go on, you are destroying your business. At this time, I do not recommend this restaurant.
After hearing several recommendations, I finally had a chance to try out this Thai restaurant that a few friends had been raving about. Naturally, we ordered a couple of our go-to Thai dishes—things we typically use as a baseline for comparing restaurants—and also ventured out to try a few new items to see if anything stood out. Unfortunately, nothing really did. While the food wasn’t bad, it also wasn’t memorable. Every dish was just okay—lacking that distinctive flavor or freshness that usually defines great Thai cuisine. There wasn’t one plate that made us say, “Wow, we need to come back for this.” Given all the hype, we left feeling a little confused. The overall experience didn’t live up to the expectations, and while I wouldn’t say it was a terrible meal, it certainly wasn’t one I’d go out of my way to have again.
The atmosphere and food at Banana Bay restaurant are good, but the service is confusing and lacking. Although the restaurant had been opened for hours, it seemed as if they had just opened and were not prepared to serve people yet. Employees would quickly walk by but would not ask if we had been we had been helped. Update 05-23: You no longer have to pre-order and pay upfront before being seated at a table, but while the staff is friendly, the service is still chaotic. I had to get up three times to find and ask random employees for bowls, water refills and the bill. Again, the food was good, but it was overshadowed by the lack of service. I'm not sure if the need more staff or simply lack organization.

Beer was great. Food was almost inedible. Ordered this yellow curry and the chicken was undercooked. Do not recommend.

Today mid-afternoon it was dead, quiet, with very few customers. We walked in and saw a sign that said press button and wait here to be seated - so we pressed the button and waited.. and waited.. multiple staff members looked over at us but no one came over to acknowledge us. Another customer walked in after us, over to where what looks to be the cooks area, for a pick up/delivery order and was promptly helped by the same employee who had glanced at us again many times and still did not acknowledge us. We left after about 10 minutes of waiting, even used the bathroom to pass time, waiting for anyone to acknowledge customers standing there. This place is either dead with no customers or extremely crowded. I've eaten here when it's busy and the small parking lot is very very chaotic. From what I remember, the food I ordered was decent but the service however was cold/short and basically non existent almost gave buffet/cafeteria vibes. It's very disappointing to have high hopes for this restaurant compared to what was experienced today. Maybe dine in on specific days/times when there's different staff working. I also feel sad for those poor massive fish cramped in that tiny aquarium and the little fish in the big aquarium that are attacking each other and destroying their fins. Pro tip: Not too sure the food is decent here anymore. Don't bother with dine-in or you'll be wasting time standing at the door regardless if its busy or not.
Food is definitely good! Service was okay, it’s hard to get hold of any waitress or waiters. The place is big and so much noise inside the restaurant. Music band on Friday night is way too loud, we could not talk without yelling. Terrible! Parking 🅿️ is always horrible. Too many restaurants in the plaza, therefore parking 🅿️ is always horrible, almost impossible to find parking 🅿️ they need to build a parking structure! Other than food, everything else is terrible.
