Asakuma Sushi

One of the better sushi spots in the area. I have always enjoyed what I ordered from here. The prices are pretty good. The various tuna and salmon specialty rolls are very good and the soft shell crab is one of my favorites. I have continued to come here when I’m in LA and it’s definitely a regular stop.

Sushi was fresh and delicious! I got the incredible roll and it was fresh, full of flavor, and thoughtfully made. Reasonably priced and generous portions- wonderful fish to rice ratio. The service staff were very friendly and accommodating. I’ll definitely be back again, great for take out!

The service was so lovely and this was just what we needed! I had to get sushi for four in a rush for my mother-in-law's housewarming. The sushi platter for four was absolutely perfect, ready in 30 minutes, perfectly fed for people!

My "build your own" Poke Bowl was filled with my favourite ingredients, freshly prepared and in generous portions. The marinated salmon was a good balance of savoury and had a hint of sweetness. One friend enjoyed her Trust Us Lite Bento, especially the baked crab handroll. The other friend enjoyed her selection, especially the eel sushi pieces. The place is very small, simple and unassuming. We like this type of no fuss places that focus on good quality food. Worth returning to check out the other offerings.

However, we ordered the Spider Roll, which contains fried soft shell crab, and I was pretty disgusted to bite down on something overly crunchy (pictures attached), which I believe to be a crab pincer of sorts. Definitely not edible.

Ordered a Snow White roll with rice on Uber Eats. Apparently rice costs extra when ordering rolls. The roll had very little fish and the rice seemed to be deep fried. All in all I don't really know what I ate, but it really wasn't your traditional roll. Not what I was expecting.
