Delicious breakfast burrito. Hashbrowns cooked to crispy perfection. Added bacon to the sausage burrito with no cheese. Came out to about $16.50. Worth it! Size was decent and filling. Mild salsa was tasty and not too spicy for my white boy sensibilities. Chips were tasty and had a nice chewiness to them. Definitely recommend. Parking was easy, not crowded on a Monday at 1230pm
A repeat worthy casual and fair priced Mexican spot in Sawtelle. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was and being that I live very close to this location I will certainly be back many times in the future. They don’t have a parking lot but street parking is pretty easy to find in this part of town depending on the time. It’s very small on the inside and really set up for to go. They do have a few tables inside, but they are very close together and you can tell it’s designed as a grab and go. They have a fairly large menu with all of the Mexican classics on it. The staff was also very polite and all of our items were ready quickly. One of the first things I wanted to try was their fish taco. Being from San Diego and growing up there and moving to LA in early 2020 I am especially qualified to judge fish tacos and felt this one was pretty good for Los Angeles. I still have yet to find a great fish taco up here in LA but would consider this one one of the good ones. We also ordered the Carne Asada plate and the Carne Asada fries. The Carne Asada on both was very good and seasoned perfectly and all the sides that came with hit the spot as well. They pretty much had all the same flavors that I grew up eating so I really finished my plate. Overall a solid grab and go Mexican spot in Sawtelle. I would recommend to anyone searching for a good and cheap Mexican meal.
The whole meal was under $20 per person with complimentary chips and salsa! Cashier was so lovely! Restaurant was clean and quiet with tv playing. Definitely go here!
Awesome little place. Just stopped here for a breakfast burrito. I am a huge horchata fan and very picky when it comes to the chata lol They have really good horchata. I am very please. The guy running the front was very polite and funny. Any time I'm in Santa Monica and hungry again I will be coming back here. The burrito is double wrapped very well and the tortilla chips were fresh and very good as well. To the owners. Thanks for your great service. Hope that my review brings you plenty of customers.
Spending time at the VA hospital and found this spot to have breakfast. It's great. They even made a simple scrambled egg for the patient I'm visiting.
Just found this place last week on Uber. They have amazing food. I am hoping they will be okay with the fires spreading. Praying for your safety 🙏🏾
Great little joint to chowdown on some quality Mexican food. This is a Baja Buds or a Wahoo's, this is hole in the wall, over the counter food that is downright comforting. The salsa bar could be revamped a little to add some more heat but the food is delicious. The nachos are loaded, the tacos and tortillas are stacked, even the chips are fresh and crisp. Prices are reasonable and flavor is on point. Recommended for anyone in the area.
Amazing! Walking in, you know it's gonna be good when the first thing you see is a legit fresh, homemade salsa bar! Fresh pico, hot salsa, pickled peppers and onions, an avocado and jalapeno salsa.... oh man! I ordered the asada fajita burrito! Bugga was huge, loaded with fresh peppers, onions, rice, sour cream, and that ono seasoned, cubed steak! I was completely jealous as both of my coworkers ordered the asada nachos, which were piled high on Nina's fresh corn chips, topped with sour cream and guac! Limited seating inside, s.o we chose to sit at the outdoor tables, which was perfect on a cool but sunny Cali evening. Hopefully we'll have the chance to go back during our short trip to LA!
The best food in LA! Great service, easy fresh food, and the amazing traditional drink. Nga mihi, te kai reka!

First meal in LA - great experience. Authentic Mexican food. Delicious. Affordable. Edgar was a lovely man - took care of a homeless man.

Nina's Mexican Food offers a decent California burrito, but the asada could use some improvement. While the tortilla was a highlight, with a little adjustment to the asada this burrito could be a real winner. As it seems like a single location - I tend not to be so critical. For me the standard California burrito fillings: fries, cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream The asada lacked the flavorful punch that elevates a good California burrito to a great one. Overall, Nina's provides a satisfactory California burrito that's likely a good option for a quick and affordable meal. If you're hungry and in the area - this place will work!
Amazing food, came out quickly, and a good spot in town. As a vegetarian, their ‘Veggie’ burrito only has rice, beans, and lettuce. I asked for onion & bell pepper, and it was a bit extra $$. A little odd, but it worked. The tostada bowl salad was tasty, the burrito was delicious, and the hard shell potato taco was a new favorite!
Decent Mexican food for the West Side. Burritos were okay sized, but you can definitely find bigger and better if you go to East LA or south. The chile relleno burrito was pretty good, but I typically enjoy my burritos with a bit more structural integrity. The vegetarian burrito was very good and highly recommended.
Instagram: @Eat_Saw_Telle Eat: shrimp tacos, al pastor taco, potato taco, mocajete burrito, chicken fajita burrito, chips and guacamole Saw: avocado step ladder, no skimps, hearty boys, distant hustle and bustle, spreadable potato, slat-io, wall bots, peachy frontage, comfort zoned Tell(e): 8.33/ 10 Hi-bite: shrimp tacos, molcajete burrito Lo-bite: non
This place has the best corn chips I've ever had!! It was free with our Oder and we got two refills. The place Is small but it also has an outside patio. The restaurant was clean, friendly service, they allow you to create your own burrito, However, i found a piece of meat in my veggies burrito so that was a turn off for me.
Just a straight up authentic Mexican restaurant. Now frills. Just simple REAL Mexican food.

Good Mexican food with authentic flavor and well-sized portions for a full meal. Prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. I had a torta al pastor, and it was very good. The place is small but comfortable. I recommend it for a casual, satisfying meal.

It’s my 2nd time here in 3 years. First time I came it was meh so haven’t been back. I came this 2nd time because the restaurant I wanted to go to had a huge line and I was hungry. I ordered a Chile Relleno burrito which is my favorite but they microwaved the chile to cook it which made it extremely chewy - basically inedible. It didn’t have the egg wash like a typical relleno. I had to just pull out the chile and toss it. Basically I paid $17 for a bean and cheese burrito. I probably ordered the wrong thing here but the chips were stale and really cold and hard. There are so many good restaurants on this street. This is easily the worst one. Go to Senoritas down the street for much higher quality food and vibe. Overall a disappointment if you like Mexican food and eating. Go wait in line elsewhere regardless of how hungry you are.

First I wanted to try this place (Ninas) to because it's a small business. But as I was standing in line ordering, a random elderly lady about 70 years of age really needed to use the restroom and the guy behind the counter was very rude to her and denied her access because she was not a customer. Also he made a big deal about 2 pennies from another customer and last... he was kinda rude about their chips and salsa which was right at then entrance and flies near by. If you are looking to get sick from the flies alone, eat the salsa. The back area smells like human urination. I don't blame that on them. I blame that on the homeless. The place is not that clean at all. I’m surprised the health department has not stepped in yet. Because the manager treated the elderly lady with no mercy and instead kinda had a mocking attitude, I canceled my order. So can't can't comment on the taste of the food. I drove about 1 mile away to a different Mexican food restaurant called Torteria 11300 W. Pico blvd. 90064. They had great customer service, food taste great at Torteria and the price was a bit better. Cleaner establishment. I recommend everyone go there instead. Please don’t just take my word, please read the other bad reviews that are here on this account. The man in the picture I have taken is the manager who was rude and laughed at the situation as if he enjoyed it all in a devious way. Again please read then other reviews and don’t just take my word for it.

I ordered a burrito and it was awful - I didn’t eat it and I asked to order something else and they still wanted me to charge me for the burrito I hated and didn’t eat. 0/10
