Ok so like Baja is my #1 go-to burrito place. Like I will regularly hop on the bus for an hour+ trip across half of LA just to get a burrito from Baja, and I'll often get two. Those Diana's tortillas they use are my favorite, the chicken and salsa and guac and everything is fresh and delicious, and just omg like everything just yes please all the time yes thank you I'll have twenty straight down my gullet please yes. I love this place, and I bring all my friends here at some point or another. I grew up with a Baja Bud's back when there were more locations, but I think this one is the last one around. Some good-to-knows: All the food has the same ingredients, it's just a matter of format. They also do enchiladas, which uses the same sauce they put on their nachos. They have fish too. Burrito Grande just means it has rice and beans and guac/crema inside. I highly recommend getting burritos with all the standard fixins, lettuce included. Parking in the front can be limited sometimes, but theres also a large parking lot behind the building with plenty of space (though mind the signage). But yes go eat Baja so they can open up a location closer to me please kthx
Started coming here more than 30 years ago when I lived in LA...and even though I moved back East in '97, I always try to make it here whenever I'm back in LA visiting friends and family. Food is always fresh and delicious.
sooo good. delicious, good price, kind people!!!!🇲🇽❤️
Have been going here since it opened in the 80’s. Got to know the owner. Most importantly, the quality and food are great. Some of the best Mexican food you’ll ever eat!
I have been going here for decades best Baja Mexican food in la. Owner is awesome and so is the staff
Baja Buds is a neighborhood gem, and has been for at least 40 years! Delicious house-made food, the staff is amazing and thoughtful about the food, and the vibes are great. I’m always happy at Baja Buds.
Great food!! Staff is very friendly. Big portions is a plus when it's delicious traditional Mexican food. You can customize your dish any way you like, the salsa bar is always fresh ,and fully stocked up. Been going here for over 10 years and it NEVER disappoints.
Fresh & delicious. Consistent 100% of the time. I go there frequently and have used them for catering events before. 10/10 recommend!
Favorite for a long time. Great food and a good price. Particularly fond of the carnitas.
I’ve been going to this place for decades. The food is clean, good and inexpensive. I love Baja Buds.
The food and service are exceptional. They never disappoint.
I had a fish taco and a steak burrito. They were delicious. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.
Never disappoints. The food is the same as 10 years ago, delish and some of the staff back in the day are still around!
I've eaten at Baja Bud's for over 20 years and, except when I'm out of town, almost every weekend. The food is delicious and the quality has not changed since my first visit. The Staff is great (they've seen my now 15 year old son grow up) and very friendly. I recommend Baja Buds to anyone looking for a great Mexican food meal.
We love going there to eat the tacos and nachos. The food is good and fresh and the service is great.
This is legit the best Mexican "fast" food restaurant and hands down the best of the Baja's. The staff is all lovely, and most of them have been working there for 10+ years. Do yourself a favor and get the nachos, you will never be the same.
Best burritos in town! I've been coming here for 30 years, and they never disappoint. The food is consistently amazing, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I only wish they had a location in Orange County as well. Definitely highly recommended!
Super-fresh tortillas and chips. Pico de gallo and lime are unlimited. The draft beer (Coors) is fine. It's a great little place with nice people.
My favorite Mexican restaurant, great food, cheap prices, and free refills.
My friend took me to Baja Buds, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! The food is super fresh and flavorful, with high-quality ingredients that really stand out. I personally would have liked just a bit more salt, but that’s just my preference—it doesn’t take away from how delicious everything is. I also love that they have a small salsa and pico de gallo station, so you can add a little extra to your meal. The vibe is great, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Overall, a fantastic spot that I’d 100% recommend!
We love Baja Buds and come here about once a month. We sometimes dine in, which is fun and sometimes get take away, which is always great. Located in a strip mall, parking can be tiresome, but give it a minute and a spot will open up. Most are there for to go orders. The place is always spotless and the service is great. The staff is super nice and they will help you. This is a place where you get in line and you can see them making the food and some of it is served from warm burners. It is all great and all fresh. They have a nice salsa bar and sodas. I don't recall if they sell beer. We love all their food, but my favorite is their chicken burrito with extra cheese added. My husband loves their beef and pork. My grandson just loves their beans and rice. You will like this place. They don't use lard. Oh, and their chips are tasty,
The last surviving location of once many around Los Angeles. I moved to LA from San Diego myself 5 years ago, so this does not taste quite like the Baja Mexican that I am used to, especially black beans and their specific flavors here, but still it’s a solid choice for a good and casual meal. It’s just like Chipotle or a cafeteria and that you order at the counter and then watch them put the toppings on that you wish. There is a fairly large parking lot directly in front of the restaurant in the strip mall it’s located in and we had no trouble finding a spot there for a Friday night dinner. Service was very fast and they got all of our food items cracked. I started off with their fish taco, which was fairly good, although not quite like the ones back in SD. It’s more of a street taco and I would still recommend it. Next came the burrito grande which was very large, but very good. I wish the carne would be a bit more seasoned, but still I enjoyed it. Lastly, we ordered the chicken taquitos which were very very good. The chicken was still juicy and it was fried perfectly and we really enjoyed it. Overall, a good casual Mexican spot for any occasion. I would recommend and plan to be back in the future.
Whenever we're in the mood for Mexican, Baja buds is the only quench. Their food is so freaking good I can't eat taco Bell without getting sick. New standard in food. Seriously, carne asada has amazing flavor and the nachos are definetly my favorite. I would come back weekly if I loved closer.
Get the Carne Asada. Or chicken Quesadillas. You will love this place
My absolute favorite Mexican spot in all of Los Angeles! Everything here is great from the fajitas, burritos, quesadillas, to simply just their sides of rice and beans, which is my personal favorite. It’s always always my first stop when I come back home, staff here so sweet and lovely. I’m just sad that they closed down their other locations but I hope they will come back soon!
Their food is always fresh! The staff is kind, polite, and very helpful. I love their Asada Nachos!😋 Tonight we got 3 orders of those delicious nachos, a steak burrito and an Asada plate which has steak, rice, beans, chips and guacamole as well as salsa! So yummy!

We LOVE Baja Bud's. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious. We also love it for catering.
I have been eating and enjoying the food here at Baja bugs ever since the first open their doors over 30 plus years ago ? I remember when I was pregnant with my first son Christian 30 years ago at least once a week I would order a plain chicken burrito with extra guacamole and sour cream how yummy and delicious those burritos were ! And today the recipe really hasn't changed the burritos are just as good as they were 30 years ago ! My younger brother Sean who was battling childhood leukemia would hang out at Baja bugs and me quite a few friends with the kooks ! My mother also enjoyed Baja bugs and she too has since passed away but I remember mostly how sad everybody was to hear about my brother when he passed away from childhood leukemia at the age of 15 Sean Patrick Duncan's memory and his spirit continues to live on for everybody that loves him and I can always feel his presence here at Baja buds
One of the best Mexican foods around west LA area. It so authentic and delicious. It's our go to place almost once a week.
This place is awesome for eating, with super good service, tasty food, and prices that won't break the bank. You should totally check it out if you like Mexican food.

Good spot if you’re craving Mexican food and want something quick and fresh. The portions are good, the salsa bar is great, and the flavors are solid overall. It’s not an everyday place for me, but definitely somewhere I’d swing by once a month when I’m in the mood. Worth a visit if you’re nearby!
This is a homey place with authentic burritos. Burritos are pretty sizeable too and come with tortilla chips. I ate half and took the other half to-go. Also ordered myself a Jarrito-mandarin flavored. They also sell some alcoholic beverages. We came at 4pm on a Friday and it wasn’t too busy, but as we left there was a line of people ordering. I thought it was a pretty good burrito, I just wish there was a white rice or cilantro rice option since I’m not a huge fan of the orangey rice. It’s in a plaza so there was a parking lot!
totally average burrito with carnitas. supreme, came with chips, was out of al pastor, simple pickup on way to airport

4 1/2 Stars. I've been eating here for 30 years... and it has been consistently good. Always maintaining quality. They make their own corn tortillas in house, and even do a decent, simple grilled fish. The chicken enchiladas are the best; I strongly recommend! The Caesar salad is pretty good, and all 4 salsas are always reliably good. In 30 years, I've not had to spit out even one piece of fatty steak, which is a record (sorry to be gross). Rice is good; beans are okay but nothing special. Guacamole is reliably fresh.
nice staff and super good prices! im a vegetarian so i reccomend the nachos 100% the veggie burrito is a bit bland unfortunately but the nachos are soo good!! my bf likes their carnitas a lot :)

Food is delicious. Staff talks shit in Spanish.
The steak burrito was good, my only critique is that the meat was a bit tough. The salsas were delicious and the nachos were great as well. The horchata was also very tasty. Solid food at a great price.

Mmm…so-so. Got the fish burrito. The fish was a little too crispy and more batter than fish. The burrito was a little messy. I didn’t HATE it (I ate it all) but it honestly really didn’t impress me. I was a little disappointed. The guys that were working there weren’t that friendly either. Oh well!

Every time I come here the staff always has the absolute worst attitude you can legitimately see it in their body language, and face. They really will skimp you on the portions even though this place is insanely expensive for very BLAND Mexican food. They make sure to say goodbye to certain guests while not others. I understand things get hard after a long day, but they should really pick up their attitude and treat all the customers the same greeting them and saying goodbye. I would also switch up the recipes here a little bit. I've never had more bland tacos in my life. I recommend you guys just go spend the money at Benny's rotisserie chicken and tacos. Much better quality and service.

I ordered the low-carb pollo plate and they left the chicken on the grill for 15 minutes when the restaurant was empty and it was dried out and overpriced and they did not realize how bad the whole service and food was. The salsas are all canned. Awful I had to ask for my food. It was infuriating. I wanted to like it, but that was horrible
Dry meat no Flavor the sauce taste fake like preservatives
