Opinions de Blue Cow Los Angeles
We stumbled upon this place by chance and absolutely loved it! Great vegetarian options, warm hospitality, and outstanding service. This is the kind of business that truly deserves to be supported.
Venturing into Cow Cafe, an unassuming yet utterly charming establishment, we were immediately wrapped in a warmth that promised a delightful meal. My girlfriend’s choice, the Chilaquiles paired with a Dirty Chai, was met with enthusiastic approval. She remarked not only on the Chai’s robust flavor, which danced delightfully on the palate, but also on the café’s quaint charm, describing it as a ‘cute shop’ that feels inviting and genuine. However, her delight was slightly marred by the café’s choice of paper plates. While she understood the casual vibe, it was a detail that felt out of step with the otherwise delightful experience. As for myself, the paper plates didn’t ruffle any feathers. They seemed in harmony with the café’s no-frills, authentic charm - it’s not pretending to be something it’s not, and that’s refreshing. On the culinary front, the recommendation to try the Potatoes and Eggs, specifically scrambled, was spot on. Each bite was a testament to the cafe’s commitment to simple, yet profoundly satisfying dishes. This dish didn’t just meet expectations; it soared beyond them, firmly establishing Cow Cafe as a must-visit for anyone seeking culinary comfort wrapped in a casual, yet inviting ambiance. If you find yourself in the neighborhood, consider this a hearty recommendation to drop by – just be prepared for a laid-back dining experience, right down to the paper plates!
Stopped by Cow Cafe and tried the harissa scramble, summer sandwich, and Nutella banana toast. The scramble was really good and came in a big portion. The summer sandwich had a nice mix of flavors with plenty of cheese. The Nutella banana toast was sweet, but the banana helped balance it out. Overall, a great experience.
I visited for a quick breakfast and the staff greeted us politely. Have visited more than once and everything was delicious. Highly recommend the breakfast burrito.
I really enjoyed the customer service at this location in LA off Pico Blvd. The girl that is all tattooed up she was very helpful. She recommended Strawberry matcha latte, it was so tasty. Ill recommend this place to my family and friends.
I live a few blocks away, the staff is always friendly. I love coming here for my daily coffee fix!
Tried the chilaquiles & they tasted so good! The girl with all the tattoos was friendly And love her whole vibe that’s what you call good customer service
A pleasant new addition to a street that's currently devoid of small, locally owned cafes. The arrival of a Starbucks cater-corner from here may give it a run for its money, but the Cow will still be a laid-back option for grabbing a quick Mediterranean-inspired bite to eat. Walking distance from Metro's Pico Station.
I love this spot for great coffee & eats. It's clean, cozy, friendly & the food is great. I really enjoy their parfait & brunch choices. I just don't know why they changed their hours. I work swing shift & wish they were open in the afternoon again 😔
I would put 10 stars to this coffee shop. The food is full of flavors, coffee is amazing, the staff is friendly and helpful. I was there for a conference and this was my spot!! I had the scrambled eggs.. I recommend it! Thank you so much.
I came around 11 am in hopes to make a quick stop before meeting a beloved friend. Catching up on life errands as life goes on. The location is located at the corner of streets. Street parking is conveniently available. I ordered a decaf latte and have been struck by the busy ebs and flows of people. It’s a wonderful area to get into deep conversation with friends. There are a few outlets here and there if you need a place to study. The menu features brunch options that I hope to try another time! The space is cozy. I can tell the place built up a supportive community of regulars. I’m grateful for this
Such a perfect spot for breakfast! I was on vacation in L.A., and this was actually the first place where I truly felt the California vibe — laid-back, sunny, and full of good energy. Everything here just feels right: the food, the people, and the atmosphere. The menu offers that ideal mix of flavor and freshness — everything tastes amazing but still feels light and wholesome. You can tell they really care about quality ingredients and balance. I ordered a couple of dishes during my visits, and each one was beautifully presented and full of flavor without being heavy. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel good after you eat — classic California style. The staff were super friendly, relaxed, and attentive without being overbearing — exactly what you want on a slow L.A. morning. The café is located right in the heart of the city, which makes it perfect for both locals grabbing a quick bite before work and tourists looking for that first taste of the California lifestyle. Prices are totally fair for what you get — great quality, generous portions, and an overall experience that feels worth every penny. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting L.A. or even locals who want to start their day with some good vibes, healthy food, and that signature California sunshine energy.
Nice minimal spot with good food. The labneh and fig toast is pretty simple, but also good. Avocado toast, and esp the breakfast burrito are more hearty.
Great place for a quick bite and grab some coffee. Staff is super friendly and professional. I ordered a breakfast burrito. It was great. Coffee was good as well. I will be stopping by again.
Who would have known the best Chilaquiles I’ve ever tasted was in a little cafe in downtown Los Angeles. We tried different foods and everything was great!! The coffee was wonderful. They even sold beer here (happy husband). I wish there were more Cow Cafes round the state but there isn’t. The food was great, the prices were good and the staff super kind.
We had a very good breakfast at Cow Cafe. The harissa eggs were delicious and spiced just right, I got a side of avocado which paired perfectly. And the toast with labne and cucumbers - sooo good!! Excellent lattes, too!
Absolutely loved the atmosphere in this cute little café. The food was incredible. The Coronado was exactly the caffeine I needed and the service was delightful. Warm friendly atmosphere with lots of healthy options, but feel good and well prepared strongly recommend. They also carry pressed which was a big win on the go!
Such a cute, vibey little place with awesome fresh food and all vegetarian options. I live in dtla, but I am on the opposite side and don’t make it down to south park very often/it’s been a couple of years since I had last eaten here, but it’s stayed on my mind. Went to a Dr appointment at my new PCP’s and made a mental note to come to cow cafe after for my first meal after a 14 hour fast. It was so worth it. So glad I got to eat here. The place is super cute, has great food that’s fresh & the coffee was impeccably made by the gal at the front. Definitely come and eat/drink here so cow cafe can continue to serve the area for years to come 🤗🤗🤗
Loved their breakfast burrito and their house made hot sauce! Coffee hit perfectly. Ambiance was cozy but bright!
Tasty food options, good coffee, and friendly service. Building is a bit small and area is rough.
I become a little hesitant when it comes to health oriented menus, especially when it comes to flavor and higher prices Being close to the convention center, I chose to go for breakfast. Had the harissa scramble and matcha latte. It was much better than I expected. The spices and overall quality of the food was amazing. With many unique items on the menu, I wouldn't turn down a chance to visit again and try something new
Patty is a great barista and cashier I went to Cow Cafe first time and she just made my day! Thank you very much Patty!🫶🏼 The food and matcha were fabulously good, just what I needed.
Had a brunch on a Thursday running around between meetings. Great service, yummy healthy food with outdoor/indoor seating options. Super clean and the food options are on the spot. Would be my choice next time I’m in the area for sure! Enjoyed their matcha warm drink and their avocado toast with egg and spinach & egg scramble … 😋😋

Avocado toast was amazing, nutella banana toast was super. The halloumi in the summer sandiwch was a bit too salty, and the coffee was a bit too small, but I hadn’t asked for bigger honestly.

As a lifelong vegetarian in a sea of vegan restaurants, I LOVE that this place caters to us and I can get real cheese and vegetarian proteins that aren’t only made of carbs/fats. I felt like I hit the jackpot when I moved to the area almost 5 years ago. The food is always AMAZING and the drinks are good. While it sucks that prices have gone up a bunch, they match the local competition. As far as I know they still haven’t brought back the WiFi, but I assume that is to keep people moving since the place is small. If they had WiFi, I’d come here everyday. Patty and the rest of the crew are so kind, and I’ve NEVER waited long for food or coffee. 🤎

Lucky I stumbled upon this place! Their chai had great spice and flavor to it, and the Avocado Toast was delicious. The only thing is they could work on their timing a bit. 30min is too long of a wait time for Avocado Toast.
Cute place with a simple menu for a quick bite! They got part of my order wrong (they asked if I wanted salt and pepper on my avocado and I said 'no', but they still added it). It was minor, but just a note to them to improve their service.
I'm going to review this from a very individual perspective given that I am vegan coming here to hopefully eat a vegan meal. Found this place looking for a vegan spot in downtown. Saw it was vegetatian and eh what the hell. I arrived to the cutest little place. Parking was a bit hard. I had been wanting to come here before but ultimately chose another location strictly because of traffic. Today i Found a meter across the street. Came in and the person at the counter Patty is the loveliest person ever. I asked for vegan options, she informed me there werent many but gave me a rundown of what can be made vegan. I ultimately wanted chilaquiles, asked for a hummus sub and she generously added avocado. The chilaquiles? Delicious. Spicy w the onions. Mua. Why 4 stars? Well two simple reasons, parking situation and the limited vegan options. Look i know parking is infair but look, it was mostly bc of vegan options just didnt want to be snotty Also: it is vegetarian and i was informed there were meat options off menu which tbh was not fond of, i mean i get it but because of the limited vegan options, i was distraught. All in all, if it weren't advertised as vegetarian, I would have given this spot 5 stars. Patty saved the day. Look maybe it should be 5 stars just bc of patty, maybe if they add a vegan option ill come back and leave a 5 star. Thanks so much for a wonderful time Cow Cafe
Came on Friday at about 9 am, pretty empty, and food came out at a nice time. I ordered the breakfast tacos, and they were amazing. The salsa was very good, not spicy at all. My wife and daughter got avocado toast and enjoyed it. Drip coffee and cappuccino were ok. Will come back.
I stopped by this place while attending a medical conference nearby. I was impressed with the interior feeling very cool but inviting, not overly sterile but still very clean. The people working were exactly the kind of people I want to see in a cafe, possible letters of the alphabet with fun outfits. I was struck by the menu being largely Mediterranean informed, which can be suspicious. I ordered a chai and a bagel. The chai was made really well, compliments to the barista. My bagel was all right, the ingredients seemed fresh but the combo was not exactly my favorite, I should've known since I don't really like labneh that much. I found out through my underground network of contacts that the restaurant owner is Syrian, which is fine with me.

My review here is long over due! Having lived in the area for 3 years, this place always hits with their breakfast tacos and SALSA!! Best salsa, it’s homemade and reminds me of my grandma’s recipe. The baristas are always so friendly and welcoming. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy but they do not have WiFi. I personally haven’t had the best coffee drink experience. I don’t know if it’s just ingredients or how it’s made but they definitely have a lot of options!
I ordered the chilaquiles and one drip coffee for a little bit past $21. Female cashier gave me vibes that she didn’t want to be there and could care less. The chilaquiles had a good taste. The salsa was a bit spicy. Overall, good food, prices are a bit high, and some staff could improve on their customer service skills.

Plastic shame. Coffee: 5 stars. Planet: 0 stars. No reusable cups? Come on, it’s 2025. No matter how good the coffee is, it’s feels awful drinking from these flimsy wasteful cups. If Starbucks can serve in a ceramic mug, why can’t you?
I appreciated the dairy free options for the coffee, HOWEVER the coffee itself tasted awful. I couldn’t even finish my drink. I don’t know if it was over roasted beans or what. I am pretty tolerant on bad coffee but this was undrinkable. I was desperate for caffeine but I couldn’t bring myself to drink it.
Walked in and no one acknowledged me. Was confused on what to do. Do I order at the front or?! Went to the front the lady at the front didn’t even look at me. I stood in front of her trying to look at the menu and catch her attention but she ignored me. Even sat down for a good 5 minutes and still no acknowledgment. She didn’t look like she wanted to be there. I Decided to leave because I never want to be treated that way. The atmosphere wasn’t friendly and I’m amazed by the 5 star reviews?! Ended up having a greater experience down the street at @Bluestone Lane Cafe at Moxy Hotel. Would recommend everyone to go there instead!
