Opinions de California Pizza Kitchen Los Angeles
I will definitely come back because of the service I received. I want to shoutout our waiter Gee. Probably the one of the best waiters I’ve ever had in my life. He made my whole party fee special, welcome, and was very attentive. The restaurant itself was very clean and the food was great.
Food was great. Service was great. Just moved to California from Florida and this was where my family and I ate our first night. It was awesome.
Anthony literally makes the dining experience feel like your at home. And to top that he is attentive and is on top of the service. Always 5 stars 🌟 and if I owned this branch I'd promote him before I lose him.
Came here after a VERY disappointment going to La grend something across the street (for my bday) and decided to come here. We were greeted right away, sat down, served with a load of care and had a wonderful meal. It really made my night. Pasta was fresh my hunnys burger looked very good and by his standard was very good. Fries are fresh. Drinks are full of flavor. Will definitely be coming back !
I’ve been to the other California Pizza Kitchens in other cities and this one is just as great. During their “Happy Hour” times I was able to get a coffee, Caesar wedge salad, their dynamite shrimp appetizer & chicken lettuce wraps. The coffee was about average, the salad was pretty good because of the creamy dressing. The lettuce wraps was also pretty good and filling but the Dynamite shrimp stole the show. Probably the best appetizer shrimp I’ve ever had. The crisp was just right, flavor was on point and overall it was phenomenal. I’d definitely come back to this spot again to try their other menu items. Parking is local street or paid garage parking & I don’t know if they validate because I walked it.
Always consistently great and freshly prepared food with a pleasant presentation. I've tried their burgers, pastas, and soups, and they're great, but where they excel is in their pizzas, especially the Carne Asada, it's amazing! The staff is wonderful, attentive and courteous, the cooks are quick and not only know how to properly cook food, but also how its served, always ensuring it not only tastes good, but looks good too! The Managers whom I had the pleasure of meeting are great too!
As always the pizza was amazing I love the bread and the virgin olive oil which is always serv as welcome. My favorite is cauliflower crust with pepperoni and sausage and it was great as always. Also, we got small platter of guacamole and chip which is really good taste but could be better if it was served is bigger portion.
One of the best locations. Service is excellent. Came during rush hour and the food was out in no time. Desserts are a must, the Belgian souffle cake is delicious, as well as the salted caramel pudding. For appetizers the avocado rolls are a must. The chicken milanese was delicious, a little big for one person. We sat at the bar and was great! The bartender Adán is amazing.

Goop pizza restaurant. Was kind of busy with lots of background noise. The washrooms were a mess (typically don't make comments about the facilities, but something that was noticeable), but the restaurant was little dated but clean. Staff was top notch, from friendly and chatty server to the guys who were working the "open" kitchen. Food was made quickly and it was quite good. I ordered the Works pizza and it was very good. I thought it would have been soggy with all the toppings but it was great. One item that was very noticeable and tasty was the wild Greek oregano!!... wow, what a difference on a pizza. Also, one of the guests suggested I ask for their salsa to dip the crust and that was an awesome idea. Great, fresh salsa. Good place for a pizza. Also, very cool idea to add reheating instructions on the pizza box.
I love coming to CPK but I was left very disappointed yesterday. I ordered the Chicken Piccata Pasta but was disappointed with the portion size especially for the price. I’ve had the pasta before and the portion size has been a lot bigger than what I was served yesterday. It barely had any pasta and I ended up finishing it in 4 bites. I could pick it up all the pasta I was served in one scoop. Usually the service is very good but this time it felt like I was getting drive thru service. My sever just dropped off the food and utensils at my table and quickly left.
During my visit, I ordered the Thai chicken salad, and the salad came with no chicken. The chicken was brought on the side after questioning the entrée. And then when I had an An entrée ordered to go, It had a piece of plastic in The pasta. Unfortunately, while The person I was dying with they were having a salad and a book flew out of the salad and was dancing around the other plates, and the manager took the item Back apologize and took it off the bill. It was the worst experience that I’ve had at a CPK.
Haven’t been in DTLA in the evening hours in some time. Walked past your location tonight. Saw both sides of the building had, out of order signage, and knew immediately it wasn’t a location worthy of eating at currently. If you did this for myself alone tonight; done. If not, you have a problem you should probably address; don’t know if that means fix or shutter, but you’ll figure it out.
I was tempted to post a picture of my vomit to show what happened, but that would be too disturbing, so I’ll just explain clearly. I’m visiting California from Florida, and this was my first time eating at this restaurant with a friend. I ordered the spinach dip and the Salmon Piccata. The spinach dip tasted off — watery and bland. Honestly, Applebee’s version tastes better. I still ate some of it anyway. The lemon cream noodles in the piccata were actually good and reminded me of other fine dining places, but the salmon itself was overcooked and very dry. I couldn’t finish half of it because I thought maybe I just wasn’t hungry. About an hour after leaving, I went to my friend’s home and ended up throwing up five times. For context, my stomach reacts fast when something is old or contaminated, and unfortunately, this felt exactly like that. I travel a lot — 45 states, 6 countries — and I just returned from Thailand where I ate street food daily with zero issues. But one meal here made me violently sick. The next day, I called to politely ask if a refund was possible. They said they’d look into it and call back, but they never did. When I called again, a different manager questioned why I didn’t say anything that same night and told me their dishes are “popular” and they “never” get complaints. I tried explaining my situation, but the manager kept repeating that I was the only one complaining, basically dismissing my concern entirely. Just because other people didn’t get sick does not mean my specific dish wasn’t contaminated. That’s not how food safety works. If you look into my contributions, I have plenty of reviews at different restaurants. I have a good understanding of what proper food quality should taste like. Overall, extremely disappointed — both by the food quality and the way management handled the situation. The meal was overpriced, gross, and the service afterward was terrible. The waiver did a great job though. If you want Italian food, please go to an authentic Italian restaurant instead.
