First time trying the omakase and was blown away! Completely worth the money and chef Jeff was amazing!! The ambiance is great for a date or an upgraded family function but smaller groups only. I will definitely return for the omakase experience!

This was the first time trying Sushi Enya. We got great service, the food came fast, and tasted as good as it looked. We ordered four special rolls and they were all delicious.

Sat at the sushi bar on a wednesday right when they opened. Got happy hour drinks and omakase (less expensive option). Fish was very fresh. Service was very fast. Receieved miso soup, ten nigiri, and a hand roll. They hooked up the otoro! Great experience.

I’m a regular here - absolutely one of my favorite meals in LA. The fish is supremely fresh, the prep is simple, methodical and super super consistent. Have had ~10 meals here, usually at the counter bar - and it’s a pleasure every time. The daily list of nigiri is worth hitting up always, and the evergreen options are thoughtful and delicious. Absolute recommend. Ends up being around 75-80$ as a solo diner for a mix of nigiri maybe 10-12 pieces. Not cheap, not crazy expensive. In my opinion, really worth it.

Today I will say i came in and me and a group of coworkers were all having a great time, food and drinks were amazing but I cannot get over one gentleman's attitude tonight. Didn't catch his name tan fellow with a curly top. I understand if you guys are busy but he was very rude to one of our older coworkers. Uncalled for but like I said food was great. I was in L.A. on a business trip and stumbled across Far Bar while searching for a Happy Hour spot—and I’m so glad I did! The atmosphere here is incredible. I kicked things off with the spicy edamame and Ming’s Wings, both packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the vibe. The bartenders are not only skilled but genuinely friendly, offering great food and drink recommendations. The regulars at the bar welcomed me right in, making it feel more like a neighborhood hangout than just a stop on a trip. If you’re visiting Los Angeles and staying anywhere near Little Tokyo, Far Bar is a must. And take my advice—ask for Nate. He’s an outstanding bartender who makes the experience even better.

Cozy sportd bar! Came on a recommendation and enjoyed the vibes and food. The food was amazing. Dishes were well crafted, and flavors were incredible. Everything we had was tremendous. My crowd was not much for drinking, but the promotional sake they were giving samples of was incredible. Expertly crafted, and the aroma was tremendous. They gave us a small pitcher of water, which was perfect, I just wished they had stopped by to refresh the water since we were not a drinking crowd.

Thoroughly enjoyed Far Bar’s happy hour, which runs from 3-7pm Monday to Friday, and all day Monday. Best value play is the Burger Special ($13), which includes fries and a Sapporo or soda. Wings are also excellent. Will try their shrimp tacos next! Service is awesome and the vibes are casual yet with a classy decor (especially outside). Love this historic spot!

Great choice for some late night food and drinks in Little Tokyo. Casual vibes, nice ambience. Tried the Far Bar roll, fish seemed fresh and it packed a punch with the flavor and spice. Service was attentive, food came quick, and staff was knowledgeable/careful of food allergies. Prices weren’t decent too. Overall would recommend.

Awesome wasabi fries. Location is pretty cool too, right in front of Miyako Hotel. Staff is knowledgeable with their bourbon. I've had Pappy 23, Heaven Hill 20, Parker's Heritage 24 years, Stagg Jr Batch 17, Old Fitz 11, and GTS 142 proof. Good shot prices, real pour size as well.

I'm amazed that such great place is so affordable!! I was expecting it to be more expensive but was pleasantly surprised when I saw the menu 😱. Our server was awesome and checked on us a good amount of times, which made it easy to continue ordering new things 😬. The serving size was way bigger than expected for the prices! The only thing I didn't like were the house whiskeys since they were a bit too smokey for my taste. The shot + beer was a good change since I ordered the Far and Further, which had Japanese whiskey and beer. I would come here all the time if I lived here for sure!!!!

Google maps takes you to the back of this building. Entrance is on East 1st street. Super beautiful interior, lots of polished wood and black and white tiles. Feels eloquent. During the day, bright light hits the bar and lights up the space. Outside, a patio section opens at 2PM. There’s a super narrow brick corridor you can use to enter the space and bypass the indoor bar. Tons of excellent beers on tap. I loved #9, it was a sour beer with 10.5% alcohol, served in a snifer. Feel free to ask for tastes of beers if you are unsure of what to pick from their vast variety. I didn’t get any food when I came, but they have nice looking sushi rolls. The waitress was super friendly and made us feel welcomed. Took our photo and helped us make memories! There’s a breathalyzer machine too! For 4 quarters, you take a straw and blow into a machine, and it’ll come back with your blood alcohol level.

This is the Little Tokyo outlet of Sushi Enya. The place is on the same street as the popular ramen place. We orders the 18 piece sashimi set twice and the chef was thoughtful enough to put different fish slices on the two orders. We also tried their specialty eel roll which is served on a very long dish since eels are long? Quality of the fish are quite high and attention to details are there. There are not many tables so it gets crowded. Usually there is a wait so suggest to arrive early (5PM) or use table reservations. They have a cancellation fee if you make table reservation. There is no parking on site so you have paid street parking or paid parking structure near by.

Came here for dinner in a group of 7 on a Friday night. We had to wait for an hour to get seated since we had a large group with no reservation. Indoor seating only. They have a omakase option but we all opted for a la carte. I had a chirashi bowl which was quite filling and had a lot of fish. I got green tea which came with free refills. Service was friendly and there are gendered restrooms in the back. Metered street parking. Credit cards accepted. It’s a classy spot to eat high quality fish.

Pretty cute lil spot! Came on a weekday around 6pm so it wasn’t too busy and conveniently during happy hour (which is 5:30-6:30)! I’m vegetarian and there were some pretty decent options. Loved the vegan green man and the Japanese potato fries were pretty good, but could use a dipping sauce like sriracha mayo or something. Shishito peppers were good as well!

Been coming to this bar for quite a few years and there’s been a few changes here and there. Overall though, it’s a bar I still very much enjoy on my days off or right after work. I love this bar in the morning when it just opens. Tbvh the BEST time to come. You get the special and get to enjoy their patio and the fresh air and plants. Love love loveee this place for that. Staff is really nice and attentive any time of the day. Great selection of cocktails and beers and always served with chilled glasses. Far Bar exceeded my sushi expectations. My brother and I sat outside in a relaxing environment made to follow COVID-19 regulations. The vegetarian roll was fresh and packed to the limit. You can find better sushi place. Price is even more expensive than other better sushi restaurants. Sushi Enya doesn’t have variety of fish, it seems like its kain target customer base is not Asian. If you are willing to spend this money and experience better sushi, try Sushi Gen or Hama Sushi. Sushman and clerks are very kind and professional.

Fish quality is great really. But this is only worth it if you get nigiri or sashimi and even then I feel it’s a bit expensive for the area. Do not get any rolls because you will be skimped out on sushi. Great food. But Taylor the bartender can’t control his emotions and was incredibly rude. My friend asked for her order after it had been an hour. Yes it was busy, but he looked her dead in the eyes and said, “have you looked around.” Then when we complained he cut us off and kicked us out. Management said, “there are no appeals” and blindly supported him when we tried to explain he was in the wrong. We listened to him disrespect customers all night. This business has a management problem.

Came here for the silent Hill themed drinks and food, we were quickly seated which was nice because it was busy. I'm not sure if our waitress was just overwhelmed or having a bad day which could be the case for how the rest of our stay played out. She couldn't hear our order over the loud music that was playing, but she wrote it down and left. We had ordered two drinks and one app. Within the 55 minutes we were waiting the other groups of 2 to 5 people that arrived AFTER us received their drinks and apps. She had checked on the other people around us and only seemed to glance at us, never approached us to ask anything or let us know about any issues. After the 55 minutes we just decided it would be best to leave so I wanted to give her a heads up they could clear our table, at this point her coworker jumped in and said "someone put the order in wrong and I just put it in, do you want to cancel it", to which I said was fine. The reason being I didn't want to wait another 20-30 minutes (or who knows maybe another 50 minutes). There was no accountability taken, no communication with us before this, to which I'm just going to assume is how service is regularly here. Sorry to our waitress, I hope she feels better and has better days.
