Opinions de Farmer's Market Los Angeles
Too much to say but if you haven't been its a must. From pizza, pasta, burgers, sushi, Brazilian, sandwiches, juices, ice cream, shakes, candy kettle corn, fresh produce amd fresh juices, essential oils, gumbo, you name it it's most likely there. Shopping is everywhere for merchandise. So many stores to shop. Make sure to get your ticket validated to take some money off your parking fee. It would've been 56 but we paid 39. The trolly is free and goes back and forth every 15 mins or so. So cool and the kids loved it. Mexican restaurant by the trolly near parkinglot was soo good! Forgot the name but its seating all outdoors. Check it out.
Probably been thousands, maybe 100,000, maybe a million reviews of the Farmer's Market. I go once a month and have my go-to stores. Its been around since 1934 wowzah, great year my pop was born in 1934. As hard as this may be to believe, with Pacific Ocean to the left, it's hard to find fresh seafood in LA, no fishmongers near me, I make the trek in traffic to 3rd and Fairfax when I want a nice cut of Tuna, Salmon, or a delicate Sole. Enter, the best fish market in LA - Monsieur Marcel Seafood Market. This trip fresh lobster meat and a cold-water tail. While I am here, may as well get a great steak, NY Strip, or Filet. So its Marconda's Butcher Shop. Then, on they way back to the parking garage, must stop at Farm Boy. Great produce, plus at check out they always have nice precut items like fresh papaya, or mango, perfectly ripe for impulse buyers LOL. Secret intel, the best place to go when its raining in LA, 3rd and Fairfax. Its like a little maze of restaurants, shops and specialty stores (like a shop solely for hot sauce) and the bars have these awnings barely covering you from the rain. So cool, when you experience it you will know what I mean.
Love it! Tried different food, bought California giflts etc. Don't forget to take your parking ticket with you, and get it validated by any vendor at the market, otherwise you'll pay like $5 every 15 mins of parking! Will be back!
Seriously love this place. So many stalls and shops. Great food, nice people and close to a shopping centre too.
Cute little market area with many shops available. It had moderate amount of people in the area shopping and dining out. Great way to explore around and kill some time
Awesome farmers market with a complete selection of ready foods or fresh produce. Lots of seating available but may fill up rather quickly. Facilities are cleaned and staff are available to clean up tables after dining. Parking is also cheaper with validation than the Grove. Would return with friends to dine and shop.
It’s not just a market… it’s an experience. The open-air layout makes it fun to wander around, with food stalls and specialty vendors offering everything from international cuisines to local favourites. I ate at Pampas Grill, the Brazilian churrasco spot inside the market, and it was excellent. The setup is cafeteria-style, so you choose your meats, sides, and salads by weight.
One of those places you need to visit if you are visiting Los Angeles. Full of history and full of flavors. Make sure to take your parking ticket with you and validate as the parking can be pricy (Grove and Farmers Market have different parking lots and Farmers Market’s validation only works if you park in Farmers Market parking. ) For more, follow our instagram @gemislist
Right next to The Grove, the Original Farmers Market is a must-visit! So many food stalls offering everything from tacos and crepes to Brazilian BBQ and gourmet donuts. It has an old school charm with a great mix of local vendors and international flavors. Perfect spot for a casual lunch or just to grab a snack and explore. It can get crowded during peak hours, but the variety and atmosphere make it totally worth it. Great for all ages!
A Beautiful Farmers Market – Fresh, Delicious, and Full of Variety This farmers market is absolutely lovely and definitely worth a visit! In addition to fresh produce like fruits, vegetables, meat, and fish, you’ll find a wide variety of other unique and high-quality products. There are also plenty of delicious treats — from sweets to snacks — and it’s a great place to enjoy something to eat or drink on the spot while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere. Whether you’re looking to shop, snack, or simply stroll around, this market offers a wonderful experience. A must-see for food lovers and anyone who enjoys local charm!
There’s such a great variety of food and little shops to explore. The atmosphere is lively and full of character – you really feel the history of the place. It’s perfect for grabbing a quick bite, enjoying coffee, or just wandering around to try different treats. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in LA!
Wow, what an incredible spot the Farmers Market Place in LA is for a tourist! It's an absolute must-visit to soak in the local vibe, with so many amazing food stalls and unique little shops to explore. I loved just wandering around, trying different snacks, and soaking up all the lively energy – it's definitely a highlight for experiencing authentic LA culture.
The Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax has been around since 1934, and you can really feel that history the moment you walk in. It has an open-bazaar vibe with a nice European touch — there’s something about it that feels a bit like strolling through a small village market. There’s an incredible variety here: Mediterranean foods, fresh produce, fish and chips, burgers, coffee houses, bakeries, and many small specialty shops. It’s truly a fun place to wander and explore. The parking is also convenient — you just need to get your ticket validated by one of the merchants when you make a purchase, and as far as I know there’s no minimum amount you have to spend to validate. Overall, it’s a great spot to visit, full of character and a very friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in Los Angeles!
What an amazing day my son and I had Eating lol 😆. The people at each stand are so welcoming and it is definitely easy to spend lots of money 🤑💰 but everything we bought was so delicious and even though I wasn't able to try everything I wanted I will definitely be back. I am not from LA but I do come often to visit. I could have spent the entire day here just eating and looking at every store. Great vibes and delicious food everywhere!
What a unique experience. So many little stores and good options I felt like I was lost. I felt like every corner led to a whole new wing. So fun to explore and filled with amazing food, treats, and hand made items. It gave a small town feel walking through the seating areas filled with families laughing and enjoying their meals. Also plenty of bathrooms
I first visited here in 1978 and have thoughout the years. I don't recall it being quite that busy back in the day. It must have gotten more and more popular. There's so much history in there. With all those restaurants and kiosks, they should offer more plant-based options. I'm glad that at least there's Besties Vegan Paradise.
Lovely mix of restaurants, food shops and specialty cooking places with many and varied cuisines and shopping. Approach ably small scale but Very extensive breadth of selection without being overwhelming, eclectic , reasonably priced and fun.

You definitely have to come and visit the Original Farmers Market when in LA Downtown area. Not just the famous casual type of market food, architecture wise, the Original Farmers Market did a good job by blending in all the different cuisines into the 19th century style old houses. Like the way they didn't change the route and the overall structure of it, even though quite easy to get lost among different sections, but that's the fun when you walking through all the passages and try to locate the restaurants you had mind.
Nice location and lots of food option! Clean walkways and felt safe. Went on a Sunday night and parking was full but luckily was able to find one. Just make sure to get your parking ticket validated to save. Came with 8month old daughter so we were hoping to find a family room but didn’t see one.
