Don’t remember which drink I ordered, but one thing i like the most is their silk boba! It is so unique unlike others, the texture is like a mix of boba and jelly. The price is at a higher end, but if you visit this place, make sure to try their silky boba.
Odd One Out is a relatively newer addition to the local boba scene in Sawtelle, and with immense competition, they really do stand out as one of the go-to spots. After speaking with the kind staff to make sure the toppings were vegan friendly, I ordered their Jasmine Milk Tea with Oat Milk and Coconut Sugar Boba - with 5 cubes of ice and reduced sweetness. I found the specific amount of ice cubes used to be amusing but I think they have their craft down. The tea quality is superb. You can really taste the tea and it was just the right amount of sweetness in my drink. Boba texture was perfectly chewy and I gotta say that this was really a strong contender for best boba in the area. Price wise - definitely up there as being more expensive especially with all the add-ons. But you are paying for higher quality tea and at the end, it's really worthwhile.
Service was beyond and above. We tried few drinks options on the best or most popular and impressed with their innovations! Liked the tea and also the silk boba! Never had it anywhere else before. Icy peak Champion milk tea Juniper Bliss Blue Matcha
Best good quality delicious tea with the best chewy boba consistency. So good and fresh! I get the Jasmine milk tea or the black rose milk tea 25% sweetness. The yuzu apple shiso tea is also so good and refreshing with fresh apple slices. The only tea/boba place I go to!
Odd One Out definitely the TOP place for boba DRINKS 5/5 LOVE their silk boba! - Blue Matcha mixed w/blue spirulina with fresh milk and handcrafted lavender syrup and topped with Uji Matcha - Signature Silk Boba™ OOO's signature creation, the Silk Boba™. This is a texture in-between jelly and tapioca. A perfect combination that compliments the Harmony Black by adding an extra layer of a sweet pollen floral profile. Need to try their: - Champion Milk Tea - Yuzu Osmanthus
This is a boba shop located in Sawtelle LA. This is actually my favorite part of LA to visit because there's a lot of good food and parking in this area. I really like how they made their boba/jelly in house. I also noticed that they use Strauss farms mill in their drinks which is a pretty quality company. Their menu isn't super large, but the items on it are good. Definitely feel like they don't just hand you sugar in a cup. I'll probably stop by again when I'm in the area. It's just not necessarily close to where I'm at. Only con is parking is expensive.
The aesthetic is definitely adding points. I ordered the Champion Milk Tea with Jasmine silk boba, and I really enjoyed it! The silk boba is basically just a basic jelly without too much of a tea flavor, but it still paired very nicely with this drink. ALSO there’s currently a deal on DoorDash where you can get like $4 off when ordering in person. I remembered in line and totally blanked when I gave my order, so don’t be like me and save some money!
One of the best bobas I've had in the US! OOO Tea is a unique boba shop that has some options that I haven't seen before. We got the Champion Milk Tea and the Signature Silk Boba. The Champion Milk Tea is an aromatic oolong tea that tastes very floral and is not bitter like many of the oolong teas out there. It pairs really well with the cream foam and tastes very smooth. The Signature Silk Boba has the Icy Peak which is a roasted oolong tea and has a smokier taste. It is also really fragrant and floral. It comes with the silk boba which is kind of like a mix between grass jelly and boba. Great texture and addicting. The service is also really good and they talk you through the menu and the sweetness levels. I would recommend getting everything at perfect sugar, which is 50%. What's also great is that there wasn't any long lines any time we've been.
Came in twice and got 4 different drinks! ⭐️Pistachio Ricotta $8.5 ⭐️Yuzu Osmanthus (w/ Jasmine Silk Boba)$6+1 ⭐️Black Rose Milk Tea (w/ Jasmine Silk Boba)$6.5+1 ⭐️Champion Milk Tea (w/ Jasmine Silk Boba)$8+1 Honestly I think drinks are a bit pricey~ can’t believe I paid almost $10 for just one drink… Luckily the boba didn’t disappoint me! Among all 4, I love Yuzu Osmanthus the most! The mix of the freshly brewed Osmanthus tea added with a hint of Yuzu (citrusy) taste made the drink really refreshing! As you can tell I also love their Jasmine silk boba a lot🤣 It is a MUST try!! Coz don’t think you will be able to find it else where~~ the texture is kinda like a mix of jelly and crystal boba but having a strong jasmine taste infused! Something I really like about the shop is~ you gotta sample their “tea of the day” and sniff the scent of their tea before ordering. So, come if you wanna try something unique in LA!

The boba is really silky! Love the texture. It tastes more like jelly than boba. So special, can only get it from this brand

I absolutely love this place and find myself looking for reasons to be in the area (about 40ish minutes from where I live), so I can swing by and grab a milk tea. My favorite is their award-winning champion milk tea, which is an oolong milk tea with a cream topper. I get the “regular” sweetness, which is 50%, the dairy milk option, and the wintermelon silk boba. When I tell you that I crave this drink, I am not kidding! It is very easy to see why this drink won awards. As for parking, you can park for free in the lot below the complex it’s located in as long as you’re in and out in 30 minutes, which shouldn’t be a problem. They are efficient, friendly, and happy to help if you have any questions. Stop by! You won’t be disappointed!
Ordered the ICY PEAK SILK with BOBA. They use high quality tea leaves and freshly brew each cup, and the taste is really refreshing! The silk boba is a real standout, never tried it before coming here, and it’s just the right amount of sweetness against the slight bitterness of the tea. Highly recommended.

Currently, there are about 4 milk tea shops and none has managed to leave a lasting impression on me. The milk teas that each of these stores make are either too sweet or taste too artificial. I have been craving milk tea that is made with real tea leaves, not cheap, artificially flavored powders. Odd One Out checked all the boxes! More people should know about this shop because it's not as straightforward finding this shop just by walking around the Sawtelle area! Servers are friendly and your drinks get served pretty quickly and the place is clean as well! Now, I have tasted about 6 flavors on their menu and they are all delicious and refreshing, some are better than others but they are all worth a try👌! The drinks: - [SEASONAL] Pistachio Matcha (9/10): This one was great! The matcha in this drink is thick and the blend between pistachio and matcha was perfect! I just wished that we got more pistachio in the drink (it felt like there was 65% matcha and 35% pistachio). - Iron Buddha MT (8/10): The tea smelled and tasted amazing! I had ordered this drink with (25% sugar) and the sweetness level was perfect as I could still enjoy the tea flavor. It smelled better than it tasted (perhaps Iron Buddha plain tea would have been a better choice). - [SEASONAL] Black Rose MT (9/10): This was better than I'd expected and definitely worth a try. - Osmanthus Yuzu (10/10): This is different from the rest because it’s more of a fruit tea than milk tea! I recommend 50% or even 25% sugar for this one because you want to enjoy the freshness and having too much sugar would overshadow this drink's strength. - Cousin Earl Grey (9/10): This is not bad at all! It's what you would expect Earl Grey to taste like! - Champion Milk Tea (10/10): Saved the best for the last! I have no word for it! Every drink I have mentioned before is amazing, but nothing beats the champion milk tea. This stands out from all the other flavors I have tasted. Overall, I would totally recommend any tea lovers to try Odd One Out. Once you try their drinks, you would only come here for your milk tea cravings! P.S.: If you love toppings in your drinks, then I would HIGHLY recommend the jasmine silk boba!

Great boba, tried the award winning champion milk tea and wintermelon both were good. Great customer service. Boba is on 2-3$ more than the usual boba spots
I had seen the rave reviews on social media so I went into this place a bit of a skeptic. However, I’m happy to say that this place surpassed my expectations. The tea is so strong and fragrant. I had a Yuzu Osmanthus less sweet and it was best version of an Osmanthus drink I’ve had.

We ordered their Champion Milk Tea and Signature Icy Peak Boba, both drinks are so delicious, great tea flavor! One of the best milk tea drinks we had for sure. Service was great too. But this place is on the pricier side, it’s $8 each for the small drinks we ordered. And too bad they don’t have restroom. Also the place has a very strong smell of some herbs, maybe chai? Which I personally don’t like smelling.
The famous boba shop in Sawtelle. We got the Champion Milk Tea and Signature Icy Peak with silk boba. The milk tea wasn't too sweet which was good and the silk boba was a food's sensual experience. It wasn't crowded when we ordered but there's not much room in the shop if there's a big crowd. Overall, would recommend to try it if you're a boba lover in LA.
Milk teas are delicious, I especially like the fact that they have the Oat milk option and that it's actually just as creamy as the regular milk! I've tried a couple but the seasonal strawberry matcha with boba hits different lol! The popular Champion Tea was okay but I usually go for the seasonal flavors because well.. They're just different!! Extra plus is they don't fill your cup up with a ridiculous amount of ice like some places.. Cheat Code- If you have DoorDash, click on Going Out and they have a coupon that can be scanned in store that will save you a few dollars! Don't know how long it will be there but it's definitely a good look!
The Champion milk tea was solid, good tea flavor and rich milky texture. It reminded me of when I was at the Taipei location on a date with this really nice girl. She said she wanted something more creamy but that made me question her taste and so I went home. In California, it is kind of expensive at $10 for a large w. toppings.
Award winning boba shop located in Sawtelle are of Los Angeles. Parking wasn't too hard - you either pay $10 full day at their plaza parking lot or get lucky with meter parking down the street. Didnt have to wait to long to order and pick up my drink which was a plus! I had a jasmine milk tea while my partner had the oolong milk tea and I could definitely see why theyve won an award for their milk teas! Their unique coconut sugar boba was very much alike to brown sugar pearls. Price is about $7 per drink

Quick service. Amongst the plethora of boba shops on Sawtelle, this Taiwanese bubble tea shop has "award-winning" milk tea. Tried the 2023 winner but thought it was just an average tea. Parking is difficult to find in this area on a weekend night.
Had boba drinks at Odd One Out Tea at the Olympic Blvd location. We had the signature silk boba and pistachio ricotta tea. They were delicious. The place was crowded and small. We will be back to try out flavored drinks.
Highly overrated boba shop, got two teas, the boba pearls didn’t seem super fresh and the tea was very mildly flavored. The base sweetness is way too sweet and I was not asked if I’d like to change it. Way too overpriced for what it is at $9 something (boba extra)

All hype - this place relies too much on sugar and sweetness rather than a quality and flavorful tea. My tea tasted like wet printer paper that was sweetened with syrup. I went to public school, so I'm familiar with the taste of paper. Definitely avoid here if you are sugar conscious because only three drinks can be made with no added sugar. Everything else can only go down to 25%.
