Opinions de PBJ LA Los Angeles
Really great concept and place! I got the Ol’ Fashioned, which has pecan butter and it was fantastic. At first, I would have given a lower rating because I placed an order and they basically forgot about my order. I was waiting for a while and noticed that the people after me had not only gotten their sandwich, but finished eating it too. So I went up to the cashier and asked if my order was ready. In a panic he realized they had forgotten about it. I was pretty disappointed. Moments later, the worker (manager?) handed me and my friend two free almond milk drinks to compensate for the mistake. That definitely made up for it and shows that they have a good business model. Will definitely come back next time I am in LA!
I am very amazed at this simple yet unique concept. At first, I didn’t realize how they can make pb and j sandwiches so special but this place have very creative sandwiches and flavors! They have both savory and sweet options and they use very fresh ingredients. The workers were also very friendly and passionate about food. We told them that we love trying new foods and they recommended us a lot of other places to try out around LA! They were even vey helpful and gave us Vegan recommendations since they found out one of my friends were Vegan and isn’t local to the city.
Saw this place in the directory for Grand Central Market and wound our way toward it. The menu looked so fun; we ordered the Ol’ Fashioned toasted and the Superfood. Both were excellent. The process of filling and pressing the sandwiches (round bread!) was very fascinating to watch.
High quality ingredients and great service. Try a sample of the filling before you decide which one to get! I recommend the Old Fashioned.
The next venture from the team behind Umami Burger. Great food, all organic ingredients, and made from scratch. A must for any PB&J fan or a fan of their other restaurants.
This place is great. Cool little shop inside the market place. Service was amazing. Aa must try for plant strong Vegans, "The Superfood."
First time trying it I found it on YouTube and had to try it very quick service and everything tasted delicious the top sandwich is a Nutella and raspberry spread it was very good the bottom is called an old fashioned the peanut butter that is house made has a hint of bitters in with with strawberry jam
OMG! I ordered marshmallows and peanut butter toast! The fluffy marshmallow with peanut butter melted inside my mouth right away! I love it 100000000000 can’t wait to go back to LA
I mean, who wouldn't love a place that just serves PB&J? You know what you're getting into when you order since it's all in the name. If you're craving PB&J, this is your place! They've got a few different options of reimagined PB&J so be sure to check them all out.

Stop #2 at Grand Central Market was this PB&J shop. It looked really interesting, but no one was around to order. Luckily after 10 minutes or so, someone came back. We got two PB&J's: - Indian - Elvis with Marshmallow Fluff They serve them uncrustable style which I wasn't really a fan of. I'd rather have a normal sandwich. That being said, the Indian PB&J was uniquely delicious. The cashew butter with curry flavor knocked it out of the park. The Elvis tasted like a normal PB&J to me. We couldn't really find much marshmallow fluff so that didn't seem worth the addition. It might seem weird, but I think this unique shop is worth a stop!
Not a bad place to go to get a unique twist on the classic Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich. Was recommended the Red Eye (for coffee lovers) and the Old Fashioned. The combination of flavors is decent but it definitely felt a little overpriced. Would recommend to other people but would warn them about the price.
I first laughed at the thought of gourmet PBJ, and figured that I had to try it cause I LOVE PBJ. The guy lured me in by telling me that I should try the samples, their whole menu is sample-able, haha. They average in about $7.50 for a PBJ, but it's definitely worth it because of the material they use to make the PBJ. I liked their Chocolate Haze and Old Fashion. The Old Fashion had a pretty strong taste of the orange zest but I was craving chocolate more, so I went with that one. Watching them make the PBJ was pretty satisfying itself! He created it so delicately and used the IG worthy presser to seal the deal. I asked for the PBJ to be toasted so that the jam would melt more. The first bite was amazing! The dark cherry jam and the chocolate really tasted amazing together, the guy who created this is an amazing chef. I was really full from the PBJ and didn't end up getting any other meal. If you're looking to eat here, I would recommend eating a very light dinner or just come here mid day as a mid day snack. They also had a few drink options but it tasted a little watered down to me. Sticking to the PBJ
Definitely a twist on the old pb and j, I think it's a little over priced. Staff was super friendly, the place in general really crowded for a Wednesday. Definitely not my type of flavors, I ordered the Indian son ordered the red paid a little over $26 for 2 sandwiches and 2 milks.
Nice simple concept, tasty filling sandwichs ( tried the superfood and red eye). Liked the superfood more. Overpriced though!
I loved the chocolate Nutella with cherry combination. Also loved their wonderful and accommodating service.
Bless this place for cutting the crusts off! The Old Fashioned was great- they make their nut butters and jams in house. The iced yuzu matcha was also very good, albeit a little small.

It was great to see that this place uses coconut sugar and the menu offers very nice variety of pb sandwiches, but...but I d like to emerge a hygienic habits of the staff. The girl was a very nice person, but she didn't change her gloves walking from cash desk to the corner where she was going to make my sandwich, with the same gloves she took a piece of bread and started to make it without any hesitation. Then other customer comes in the middle of this process. She comes to them and press the button on display, touches the screen with the same gloves. Then she turns back to make another sandwich meanwhile mine is toasting, then something falls on the floor and she picks it up with the same gloves. Then she hands me my sandwich...I didn't eat the outside bread and just ate the banana jam with peanut butter and chocolate chips ('Elvis' filling). It was not bad but I've totally refused to eat the bread because of the past events. That's not okay and I think should be addressed. So please, tell the staff there and pressure them to change their habits because their gloves are not for them or the fashion but for our food. I d gladly come back if this was changed. But till then I am not feeling safe to eat there...
Looks super cool but the food is not that amazing. At the end of the day it tastes like your regular PB&J

I must admit, I like the fact that all the ingredients are locally made with organic ingredients. But this one was not for me. Ordered an Old School which unfortunately had to ask for a different jam as it was made with strawberries and it is the one thing I do not eat. A $5.50 sandwich as specified in their menu turned out to be almost $9, I assume because they had to use a different jam (blueberry) and I was offered the option to have it toasted. Flavor wise, not impressed and did not meet that expectation of bringing back those childhood memories. Definitely would give it another try.
It definitely an experience. I love that is all plant based! Yay! Mock bacon in the Elvis sandwich was crunchy and delish. Super sweet so I only are half at a time. I added marshmallow fluff so that is why! But it is so good. I feel like the bread could perhaps be bigger and thicker so it won't fall apart from the mushy insides. I was not able to get it toasted since the toaster was out of order. The purple chips were not available so I bought the cinnamon ones instead. I recommend not getting those. They are the ends of the sandwich bread they cut off for the pbj Sammie. They are harder after beinf toadted and even dunking them in coffee couldn't save them. Save your money and buy the lavender milk that is 💣. Buy 2 or 3 milks because they are small
