Opinions de Pijja Palace Los Angeles
I couldn’t believe my tastebuds when I went to this place. For starters, it was packed. My husband made the reservation and we still had to wait 30 mins outside and it was raining, slightly cold; but it was totally worth it. Everyone needs to try this Indian-Italian fusion concoctions, delicious!
One good place to dine and chill in Los Angeles. The Indian fusion pizza and pasta is definitely a taste of its own.
Pijja is a hit. As an Indian American, I find that the food is fun and creative and love the sports bar concept. We take the aunties and uncles and out of town cousins here as well as the parents and everyone is happy. Read a lot of the reviews and felt like everyone was a bit harsh and maybe taking it all too seriously? Indian pub food with cocktails and chill vibes…yes please! Onion rings, malai pasta and pizzas are a hit. We like to mix it up and try the other dishes too and we will continue to come back!
Pijja Palace delivers on both food and atmosphere. The menu is creative and full of bold flavors, blending comfort food with unique twists that really stand out. Every dish feels thoughtfully made, well-seasoned, and satisfying—definitely the kind of place where you want to share plates and try a few different items. The atmosphere is just as good as the food. It’s lively, fun, and welcoming, with a great energy that makes it perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying a night out. The vibe strikes a nice balance between casual and trendy, and it feels like a place you’d want to come back to again. Overall, Pijja Palace is a great spot for good food, a good atmosphere, and an enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend.
A favorite spot of mine whenever I was able to make it out to Silverlake! My husband is of Italian descent and I am of Indian descent so this was such a special place for us. The Indian fusion is incredibly unique as is the atmosphere of the restaurant. The Malai Rigatoni is a no brainer and make sure you leave room at the end for the Cookies & Cardamom ice cream!
Exciting, delicious Indian fusion. I could go back time and again to try all the possible build your own pizza combos. The combination of classic Indian flavors--cardamom, tandoor, tikka, dosa,more--wity pizza, pasta, and cocktails is brilliantly conceived and mouthwatering in the execution. Loved the onion rings. Casual vibe with bar seating and sports on many TVs. Good tap selection too. Conscientious service, incredibly fast food prep. Can't wait to go back.
Food didn’t live up to the hype but the service and vibes did. After hearing all the hype from friends and social media, I finally made my way to Pijja Palace for lunch. Obviously we had to try a little bit of everything so we got the Caesar salad, onion rings, cheese pizza with green chutney, and their saffron pasta. Our Caesar had nice crispy fresh lettuce but was a bit over dressed. We loved the toasted crunch over croutons- very creative. The batter on the onions was so thick it completely lost the flavor of the onion. With so much fried breading our mouths were left dry and we missed that classic onion ring crunch. The sweet sauce served with the rings was a nice touch though. The saffron pasta was interesting, love the shape of the pasta chosen but the sauce left me wanting. Finally, our best bite, the pizza. Thin crispy bar crust but a bright and zesty chutney sauce. This was the perfect collaboration of Indian bar food. Food aside, service was exceptional. Host, server, everyone was clearly in lock step. Something you’d expect of a high end restaurant, not a pizza bar. Would pick up a pie to go if I’m ever in the area, but otherwise not something I’m going to drive out of the way for.
We have been wanting to go pijja palace for a while now and I’m so glad that we did! More of a sports bar vibe on the inside which was perfect for us after hangout around town with friends all day, working up an appetite. I think we pretty much ordered one of everything lol. But the stand out dishes for us were the malai rigatoni and the green chile chutney pijja. Amazing and unique flavors! Be prepared to sweat a little, all of the dishes pack a little spice, but thankfully they have delicious soft serve desserts to cool down afterwards! Wait staff was great walking us through the menu. Would definitely go back again!
The food here was so good and worth the hype! Got the dosa onion rings and the lamb shell pasta. The onion rings were very thick but the sauce paired up wi the it made it really tasty! And the pasta was delicious, a combo that I never thought would work but it did so well. Definitely gotta come back here to try out the pizza 👌
Food was excellent. Service on a busty Sunday evening was attentive. Onion rings are spectacular. Orders both wing offerings hard to pick which were better bbq or buffalo. Preferred the pepperoni over the paneer pizza but both were solid. Their twist on the old fashion was refreshing
This place is worth every hype it deserves on every food recommendation, ever. This place did not disappoint me at all! First off, a welcoming host and server made the experience already a blast! Because the food here is so unique, my party had to share a few things to try out and wow, the taste was amazing! The onion rings were heavy but the sauce was such a good combo to it! It helped the dish less dry tasting! The sauce had a hint of spicy and sweet, perfect flavor! The Lamb and Shell pasta, excellent! Brilliant combination I would not expect to be so delicious to me! The lamb was also very juicy and tender, not like other places that make it dry and chewy. Every bite was well worth!!! Honestly wish I had enough appetite to order their pizza cause it was thin crusted!!! Guess it’ll mean I gotta come back again to try it out!!!
We live in the neighborhood and have been coming since it opened! The best way to get in has been to show up and grab a spot at the bar. The bartenders are wonderful and we always feel really taken care of. I appreciate that the menu rotates a little, and getting to try new cocktails is especially fun. One day there wasn’t any sports on so they had the dog show on some tvs.. would love to enjoy that dinner experience again 🫶
Pijja Palace is absolute amazing! This Indian sports bar delivers a one-of-a-kind dining experience, blending bold Indian flavors with classic American bar food in the best way possible. The creativity in their menu is unmatched—from the spice-packed wings to the perfectly crispy onion rings accompanied by the rich, tango mango chutney. Every bite is a flavor explosion. The atmosphere is flavorful and welcoming, it’s a great spot to catch a game while enjoying incredible food and drinks. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always happy to make recommendations. Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or just looking for something deliciously different, Pijja Palace is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back and try more!
All around delicious food with the unique Indian flair on American dishes. Flavors weren’t too overpowering and tasted great. I liked the pizza and the onion rings. The wings were a bit small for the price that one order costs, but the flavor was there. Since it is bar food, it does tend to get on the saltier side so drinks are a must.
This was my second visit to Pijja Palace. It’s on Sunset Blvd, and coming from the South Bay it took about 40 minutes, so it’s a place I plan ahead for. The menu is Indian-influenced comfort food—pizza, burgers, bar-style dishes—meant to be shared. We ordered a few items and the onion rings were especially good. The Indian-inspired pizzas were flavorful and filling, with sauces you can add depending on spice level. We also ordered the cheese chili toast, which tasted familiar and worked well with the rest of the menu. Drinks include Indian flavor notes - order the rose lemonade! The server was very friendly, which made the experience easy and relaxed. Parking can be tricky. There’s a small lot in front plus street parking. We made a lunch reservation, and going right when they open is a good strategy if you want to avoid parking stress. I’d go back with friends—pizza and shared plates make it a fun group spot.
We've been wanting to try Pijja Palace for a while now, and there's definitely been a lot of hype surrounding it! The staff is very friendly, and the overall vibes are great. The place itself is cute, modern, and welcoming. There is limited parking available, though, so that's something to keep in mind. The food is essentially bar food with Indian flavors. The menu is small, but easy to navigate. We tried the fries, onion rings, two types of wings, and two types of pizzas. Overall, the food was good, but my favorite part was definitely the pizza crust, it was amazing. The onion rings were pretty good too. The fries, however, weren't my favorite. They were heavily seasoned, which didn't quite hit the mark for me. Buffalo wings were quite tough for some reason. But the Hari Mirch Masala wings were very juicy. So i am not sure what went wrong there. I also tried their margarita, which was tasty but honestly, not very strong. Would I go back? Probably not, but it was still a good experience
Hearing tons of great reviews about the foods, I was super excited for my dinner in Pijja Palace. It's not the hardest getting reservations even on weekend to my surprise, but when arriving at the venue it looked extremely busy with long waiting line. We arrived too early but needed to wait until closer to our reservation time as the place was packed. It's super fun dining experience as it really gave that sports bar vibes with multiple screens showing different stuffs mostly matches to watch. The website menu I checked earlier was apparently pretty outdated since prices have been way higher and some menus have changed. Starting with their pijja/pizza as obviously that's what they're known of. Following the recommendation from our server, ordered their Tikka Masala Pizza, which was extremely flavorful and you could taste rich mix of seasonings. It featured right balance of cheese and the meat toppings surely complemented the overall taste. They did come with crispy thin crust, well suited my liking. Another one not to miss was their Malai Rigatoni, which seemed to get nothing but perfect reviews by tons of people. First spoon and I could definitely see why almost all guests had this on their tables (YEP. Testifying it!). It was AMAZING. PERIOD. Pasta was al dente, tomato masala and cream sauce was extremely flavorful. You literally felt like you wanted to lick the plate clean! I would recommend sharing as it's pretty heavy.
Unique food options available here with a chic South Indian twist to them. The dosa batter onion rings were extra crunchy and rich in flavor. The pizza itself felt a tad dry for our taste, despite the savory sauces on top. However, the pasta easily made it to our favorites list. It was cooked very well and mixed with a complexion of flavors, making it well worth the higher cost. The place is usually packed, so leave extra time to wait. They do take phone in reservations for larger parties.
Pijja Palace has a fun concept, blending Indian flavors with classic American bar food, but the execution was hit-or-miss for me. What to try: • Definitely go for the pizza — we made our own and it was the highlight of the meal. • The chicken wings were surprisingly solid. • The malai pasta had an interesting flavor, though a bit heavy. What to skip: • Onion rings — the batter was way too thick and took away from the onion itself. Overall thoughts: Everything was extremely oily. I know mixing Indian flavors with bar food isn’t easy, but I wasn’t expecting plates to be literally drenched in oil. The heaviness took away from the flavors. That said, the drinks were excellent — creative, refreshing, and well-balanced. Would I return? Probably not. But if I did, it would be just for the pizza and that tulsi- rose lemonade.
Service was great! The drink menu offers variety and well balanced cocktails. But the food wasn’t the best. The onion rings were overly battered. Also the pizza was not good AT ALL. I don’t think Indian spices compliment pizza well… the flavors were contrasting significantly, making it hard to enjoy.
All hype, terrible food. Dosa onion rings were burnt and we asked for it to be replaced but they still came out burnt. I appreciate the server making it right by comping them and taking them away, but it’s abysmal that an item is served burnt. The malai rigatoni was good but too spicy and the flavor was nothing special. The green chutney pizza was just okay. I had to scrape off the chutney and eat it bc it was too much chutney on the pizza. We ordered habanero sauce but server brought it after we ate all of our food. Overall bad food and not great service.
