Opinions de Silverlake Ramen Los Angeles
The atmosphere is honestly good. Excellent service- at all times. The menu and food are good, worth the prices at this little place. Chicken Shoyu ramen bowl was my goto, and I would up finishing off my bowl along side another's partial bowl- SO good. The waiting area is outside. Not horrible, but mostly standing room. The parking lot is valet service. Laughably, part of my party opted for valet, and their vehicle was parked directly outside our window during our meal. Restroom is available and predictable for a small space ramen place- 4*. All in all, would recommend this straight up. Take your friends or family. Research a bit and plan though. As good as this place is, the parking is valet, or it is street parking- paid or free. You'll walk a ways, likely, to find parking street side.
Good local staple. Good prices. Wonderful staff. Tiny space. Parking can suck a little bit if you don't valet but it's only five bucks so not a huge deal.
The taste is top notch. Great customer service. Space is okay. They do provide a high chair for little ones. Do always keep in mind this is on sunset. The parking is limited with valet.Street parking is also available. Do read the signs. They have meters also on the street. Can’t really complain about this place in general.
So this was for the first place I ever had Ramen and I love this place. I haven’t been here since 10 years. I wanted to take my girlfriend here for her first experience and she loved it. We’ve gone to two other places and she still talks about this place. So much flavor everything comes out very quick and just amazing. Can’t wait to come back here again.
I love coming to this location! The parking is $7 but parking is also accessible down the neighborhood. Their combos are a really good deal, I totally recommend. My favorite is the shoyu on fire ramen paired with either the gyoza or the edamame (the spicy one is Soo good!!). I recommend signing up via Yelp to reserve your seats. The staff is always VERY friendly & hardworking. Thank you so much to our waitress Kat, she was very attentive and provided a great experience.
From my understanding it’s the original location and nothing beats the flavors of the ramen here. The side dishes are a must try. The staff is amazing and took very good care of us. Made us feel comfortable and gave us a little extra care for our kids. Definitely recommended. The Dude abides😎
Hands down the best tsukemen in the city. I have tried a fair share of ramen around LA, also a few in Japan, and Silverlake Ramen has been ramaining at the top for me for the past years. The savoriness, and the fattiness is just at the right balance. And the crispy thick, THICK chasu is just the best. They have several branches now, but this original location is better than any other locations. Every once in a while when I have that craving for fatty broth, I know this place will be my best bet.
Picky Asian LOVES the taste here! I tried lots of Ramen places, but hands down for this place! RECOMMENDED! - Parking: Meter parking and valet parking with validation for $5 - Price: average $15-18/bowl. We got spicy and non-spicy tonkatsu ramen, and fried chicken here is a must (so yummy, fresh, and tasty; not too dry, not too soft, just right). Personally, the bowl was big, so I took it to go, and still good to eat at home! Def will be back! We came around noon, so it wasn't busy, no waiting. RSVP is needed and also waiting list with the kiosk in the front during peak time. Vax card and ID will be checked! Came back after a year and ordered Truffle & Cajun Ramen! Still on point 🔥
8/10. For starts we got the crispy chicken karaage and the gyoza fried 🥟. Both were really crispy. Definitely recommend the chicken over both. We got the garlic truffle ramen and the blaze (spicy) ramen 🍜. My bfs favorite thing about the garlic ramen was the thickness of the noodles, but liked the spicy broth better. We got chicken in both bowls and it was pretty good. I think there was some flavor profiles missing in both.
2021.12-26/SUN_1200: Still the same after all these years and after many locations have opened! Their food quality, ambiance and staff is still excellent. We were greeted with a smile, seated quickly and our server was great. She was really nice. The ambiance is excellent because the staff is so kind, attentive and they always play great music! We had the Pork Buns, Chicken Karage and Tsukemen Ramen and Nigori. Delicous. Nothing has changed. We started visiting this place since 2013. Throughout the years, we would visit and the food quality, prices, and customer service is consistent. There has never been a time when neither was lacking. Their Pork Buns are still soft and succulent. The Chicken Karage is still lightly crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth delicious like the Pork Buns. Our favorite is always the Cold Dipping Noodles, Tsukemen Ramen. The broth is rich in flavor and creamy in texture. I was so full and still wanted to continue eating - it's worth the food coma! Always a favorite and we'll be back again. Silverlake Ramen is hands down, still the best ramen in LA for us! 2021.03-14/1130.SUN: We haven't been here in years and this was our first ramen spot I was taken to when I moved to LA. HOLY MOLY. IT'S STILL FIRE. It was the consistency that we fell in love with - from customer service, the food and affordability, you can't beat it. Our food server, Isaac, who looked like Kakashi Hatake, was awesome as usual. He was super nice and attentive. He took good care of us. The food is incredible. The best ramen in Los Angeles. Their Tsukeman Ramen broth is out of this world. No doubt. Hands down. Deliciousness. Their Chicken Karage was light and crispy and not dry and overcooked. It's been a little while since I've been here and it seems the breading is much lighter. The pork belly bun was still delicious, too. It melted in my mouth. The bun is perfect but the pork belly...no words. It's always cooked to perfection. Lightly crispy on the outside, soft and gelatinous on the inside. When it came out with our Tsukamen Ramen, it was over. Heaven in your mouth, we guarantee it. We've been other places and their broth is nothing like this. It's good to know that there has been no decline in their quality and customer service after all these years. We always love the drive out this way to support excellent local business owners. Heck, we're SO happy they didn't shut down permanently due to COVID. This will always stay our #1! ❤️ Two years earlier: We haven't been here in a few years and it's still amazing! We always try and get there at 11 before it really fills up and be plus we have time to find parking! You will wait in line! My favorite is the Tsukemen ramen! The broth is rich and the flavor is to die for! The only reason why I treat myself every once in a while! My drive is ALWAYS worth the wait! I'm kinda glad I do live far away otherwise they would see me practically everyday!
OMG their spicy creamy broth and their garlic truffle broth were just INCREDIBLE. You have to eat it to believe it! They have a Yelp waitlist that really helps plan your visit (there’s usually a waiting time of 2 hours) The Karaage was also really good. The portions are huge so if you really thinking about maybe you can share one and add extra meat - the pork slices were just melt in your mouth awesome - else you can just get some takeout boxes 😂 This was the perfect ending to our long PCH trip and we can’t wait to get back to Seattle and visit again.
The service and food were great. The only thing I didn't like was that the place charged for parking. They validate, but you still have to pay or look for a parking spot on the street, which is a little difficult to find.
Great flavor. Great atmosphere. Small seating area very little capacity that's why people probably order take out. Gotta wait to be seated.
It’s a small place, but the atmosphere was nice for the two of us. We ordered the Blaze, and the broth was so delicious! The spicy seasoning comes out clumped in the soup, so if you mix it all in it gets too spicy — mixing in about half makes it just right. I’m not usually a fan of ramen, but I really enjoyed it.
I tried their vegan ramen recently. The broth had a pleasant flavor, not too bold, but with just enough punch to be noticeable. The avocado and lettuce seemed like odd choices, and the one large piece of broccoli made up most of the toppings. There was some corn, but it was hidden under a few tofu squares and that giant broccoli. It wasn’t bad, and in a pinch, I’d order it again.
My first time here was okay. The place is fairly small inside with limited tables. It is in a busy shopping center so we had to wait about 20-25 minutes for a table. Once seated the waiter let us know that they were out of several items on the menu so we had to order accordingly. We ordered the shrimp tempura roll. It was okay. We also ordered the truffle ramen. I felt like the broth was missing something but overall it was good. There is indoor and outdoor seating but again very small. There's an ice cream shop across from the restaurant as well. Just thought I'd throw that out there. 😋
Food was not good, refried chicken appetizer tasted like jerkey. Ramen broth tasted chemical, honestly top Ramen is better. Restaurant definitely living off old reputation. Spent 100 for packaged crap.
