This place was delicious. I got goat cheese gnocchi which was the perfect pillowy texture. My husband got a lemon caper salmon that was on special and it was one of the best salmon dishes we have ever had. We loved the complementary bread and we got the chocolate flourless cake for dessert that my husband absolutely loved. It was very delicious. We will be back!
Perfection! So pleased to have found Pomodoro Trattoria! Finally, a delicious, authentic Italian restaurant with affordable and generous portions to take my boyfriend out on dates to without depleting my bank account!! The restaurant is very small, but it has a quaint and cozy feel to it. As it got later into the evening, it got very crowded and bustling with patrons inside the small dining area, and all the talking in the small space made it quite loud. I also wish that the lighting was dimmer, the lights in the ceiling above you are so bright and threaten to ruin the atmosphere!! They serve you with complimentary piping hot bread and olive oil and vinaigrette, I almost got full just off of that! Thankfully, I saved enough room to enjoy the entrees. We ordered a linguine al pesto and one of the pollo parmigiana dishes. Both were very generous with their portion sizes, less than $15 (quite remarkable for quality pasta in LA), and absolutely magnificent. The pasta was so creamy but not too heavy, the perfect balance. I also loved the chicken and it's cheesy tomato sauce. A wonderful dinner date, I'll be back! Thank you for a quality AND affordable date Pomodoro!
So my mom recomended this place said it is one of her favorite secret places to eat by herself . Came for late Saturday lunch, restaurant opens at 4 pm . Decided to go big today. Started with a green salad which was very good and a Margherita pizza. I would come back for the pizza alone ,very delicious. Ordered gnocchi with pesto. Tortellini with porchini mushrooms, and fettuccine scampi. All were so good , I would recomend any if you are unsure what to order. Finished with some spumoni picture below. Service was outstanding and will definitely return.
Came here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and it completely exceeded our expectations! Every one of the 6+ dishes we ordered was absolutely delicious—light, fresh, and full of flavor. The service was outstanding, with warm, attentive staff who made the whole experience feel extra special. Huge thanks to Gustavo for going above and beyond to make us feel so welcomed and celebrated. Also, the tiramisu? Amazing. Easily one of the best we’ve ever had. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Great food! Tiramisu and gnocchi was so good and the service was lovely
We were in LA for a quick 3-day weekend and ate here twice! Food is great and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend!
We love this place! During the pandemic they did awesome takeout (and still do) and kept us well-fed. We order for pickup once a month or so. Any time we eat in, we’re well taken care of. The seating is tight as the restaurant is small, so I’d recommend sitting outside if you have a stroller or little ones. We love anything with the bolognese sauce, and I agree with the other reviewers that the risotto is good. My husband loves anything gnocchi from here as well! Note that many of the dinner options that aren’t in the pasta section do still typically come with some spaghetti with tomato sauce so you won’t miss out on the pasta. I also often will get the tiramisu- it’s a big serving so I share it with my husband. I’ve seen others note they can’t taste the coffee, but I haven’t had that problem and I’m someone who can drink espresso by itself. Their tiramisu is definitely sweet, but also light and enjoyable in my opinion! Highly recommend this place!
This restaurant has been a family favorite since I graduated highschool over 25 yrs ago. Very cute and quaint Itailian good, amazing ambiance, very reasonably priced and food is unreal!! Their Bread and olive oil gives you the feeling of being transported to Italy. Highly recommend
Delicious Italian food (perhaps the best in LA), great atmosphere at the restaurant, and friendly staff. A+!
Best Italian restaurant I’ve ever stepped foot in. Went to Italy for two weeks and nothing compares to this place no joke. Amazing food and great service
So lucky, the place was packed when my husband and I decided last minute to come here. We thought we needed to make reservations but thankfully, since it was about 2 or 3 hours before closing time, we only had to wait less than 20 mins for a seat. Food was delicious! Love their bread so much! Calamari was not fried and it was oh so good (dip the bread in the sauce!). Gosh, I'd come back and try the rest of their menu!
Such a cute restaurant! Despite there being a line on a Friday night, we were seated quickly. The service was great. The waiters were super attentive and would regularly check on us. We ordered burrata and beets, gnocchi and chicken, and chicken Marsala. We usually feel mid about most Italian places (mostly bc we cook Italian at home so why eat out) but the food here was SO GOOD. It was like a home style Italian grandma cooked it. It’s rich in flavor, texture, but not overly buttery. It’s hearty but balanced. Also, they give you free bread like focaccia and normal bread both of which were sooo good with olive oil and balsamic. The burrata and beets were amazing. I really enjoyed my gnocchi and my husband also loved the chicken Marsala dish - said it’s the best he’s ever had because you can actually taste the red wine in it! A new local favorite!
Fantastic food and service. Everyone is very nice and knowledgeable. The salad, pasta, salmon and deserts are all amazing. I heard the pizza is also fantastic.
Everything was so fresh, amazing and delicious. Best value in the area, really can’t beat it! They nailed everything from mains to desserts. Probably one of the best tiramisus I have ever had in my life
Sat outside during a chilly evening and the outdoor warmers were excellent and kept us warm. Amazing customer service and food! Will definitely be a staple, due to the fresh food and insanely reasonable prices.
Fresh gnocchi made daily. The sauces are absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Everything was delicious and I’m ready to try more from here
As a European I loved the bread they served! Best bread I had so far in the US! We went there on Christmas Eve and enjoyed a risotto and fettuccine and it was amazing! I can highly recommend this place if you look for something authentic. Service was good and they even offered us to take some more bread home!
Came here after hearing good things about this place and it just exceeded our expectations! We got the special cannelloni, penne alla paesana and the pizza caprino and every single dish was outstanding! Every ingredient on each dish was perfectly balanced. We didn’t feel overloaded at the end of the meal. We loved the homely vibe of the place and the servers who were very attentive and pleasant to talk with! Overall this place was such a find! This little Italian restaurant located literally in the middle of Persian Square turned out to be the best Italian food we have had so far in LA having travelled far and wide to try pasta and pizza restaurants around LA. Definitely coming back again!
The service was amazing. They set up our table, and we were seated. The employees were so kind and attentive. I speak Spanish, and they spoke Spanish with me, and it made the experience so much better for me. The atmosphere was nice and cozy. It does get loud inside where you can't hear each other sometimes. The food was delicious! they give complimentary breadld and it was warm and fluffy. I had the Fettucine alfredo, which you can do with or without the chicken. They do wine by the cup or bottle and charge a fee for paying with a credit card. Overall, I loved it and would go again.
Amazing experience and food. Chicken Marsala is the best I’ve ever had. Their pizza is also extremely good, and the desserts next level. One of our favorite new spots!
I liked the pescadataro which was today's special. Had mussels, clams, calamari, and lots of scallops. Kids liked the homemade gnocchi, both vodka and Bolognese. Salads, both house and Cesar, we're fresh and tasty. The portions were generous. The bread was warm and yummy. The servers were attentive and pleasant. Jimmy, who served us, was very patient in explaining each dish very well. There is no parking, but it's not unusual in Westwood. Nice ambience and good wine selection. I did not get to try the desserts, but they look good. Nice Italian in Persian area of LA.
One of the best Italian restaurants in town! Great price for the portion/location. Lots of options: pizzas, pastas and risottos with hearty flavors! The service is exceptional even when they are so busy. Expect lines during peak hours, but definitely worth the wait!! Highly recommended!!

I love Pomodoro!!! This is a wonderful family run restaurant. The fresh bread they give you is the best I’ve had. It tastes right out of the oven. Food is superbly prepared. Meatballs excellent. The sauces are all perfect. Great atmosphere, great service.
My family and I LOVE Pomodoros. The foods and service are amazing and it’s reasonably priced for dinner. I love the interior design, I just wish there were more soft surfaces to absorb noise, as it can get kind of noisy in the restaurant. They recently reopened for lunch, but with the same menu and prices as what’s available for dinner. Prior to Covid they offered soup with meals and entrees were a little cheaper and smaller during lunch than during dinner. It would be amazing if you could bring a version of that back. I would go all the time for lunch if it was different from dinner in some way.
We got here accidentally for lunch and the place, food and the service was perfect! Many options for vegetarians and wide range of italian food for reasonable price. Its a real hidden gem for tourists. My son said the pizza was third best that he had ever tasted (and he has tasted a lot 😊)

This is a welcoming and cozy spot with helpful staff. The risotto was delicious. The tiramisu was not. The issue with the tiramisu was that I could not taste the coffee, and it was 1/3 whipped cream. Even when I removed the whipped cream, I could not taste coffee. I recommend this spot but a different desert. I also recommend going early. When we arrived at 5 PM we had the place largely to ourselves. It quickly filled up.
Small trattoria with a down-to-earth homey feeling. Long wait for a table on a Monday evening. Customers seem to linger around after they finish their meals which is a good sign for a neighborhood restaurant. I tried the risotto ai funghi which was nice but not outstanding. My wife had the gnocchi and they were very much to her liking. Good size portions.
Lovely little Italian restaurant that feels family-owned and neighborhood-y. I had the Chopped salad and loved it. The bread is delicious, too. The service is very good--responsive and friendly. Keep in mind that if you eat outside during colder months, best to dress in your warmest puffer because the style of heaters they have are not effective, especially if there's wind.
Food is not bad but not special. I can find better place in Korea.
We got an order of three entrees for pick up. We all thought the food was good. The prices were fair. The pick up experience was ok. It would have been nice to be offered a glass of water while i waited.
I enjoy this lovely trattoria located on Westwood Blvd for 40+ years where I used to bring my young family. Recently, I re-visited while walking by to Westwood Village. The Linguine Alla Pescatora was very delicious deserving 5 stars, its tomato sauce nicely balanced without being too “tomatoey.” I returned with a friend today for lunch, ordered the Linguine Al Salmone recommended by the waiter spite of my questioning the smoked salmon, but I did NOT like it; was lacking in flavor, tasted dry in spite of too much gooey cream sauce. I took 1 star off to balance my previous 5 star rating. I will explore another dish next time, perhaps avoiding a “cream” sauce dish and definitely smoked salmon!

Nice, cozy spot with good service. Food could be better but the prices are very competitive for what you are getting. Nice experience overall. I think it’s a great spot for locals, maybe not something you travel across town for though.

the atmosphere is nice, the service is good as well, however the food… is definitely something that needs to be changed. i’m italian, from italy born and raised there so i know what im talking about. my boyfriend and i came here for a meal in the afternoon i ordered spaghetti alle vongole while he ordered some red pasta with meatballs. my plate of pasta was tasteless, when it should have a lot of flavor considering my family and i cook this type of dish often in the summer, plus it had some water in my dish when this plate doesn’t come with it. my boyfriends pasta was alright however the meatballs were soggy, and again tasteless. maybe it’s because im use to authentic, flavorful, good quality food because of my culture… but in my opinion the prices were so not worth the food. unfortunate, because the place and service was good.
Don't go for their specials of the day. Me and my friend took their specials Linguini with Seafood and Ravioli stuffed with lobster. All the fish components were smelly. The food overall wasn't that good. I think they list their about to expire frozen products as specials. I'm not sure about other items though, did not try anything else.

This place used to be wonderful- close to home cooking Italian food. Now it is just awful - no flavor / no taste. Pasta was separated from the sauce and it tasted like boiled noodles with added can sauce . Chicken dish the same - thin slices of chicken , on top of boiled noodles and can sauce. Apparently the owner/ whom was there all the time is now managing his other restaurant so he is never there any more. So disappointed at this local spot and will never go back to eat here again.

Great food. but …. Ordered curbside. Told a waiter we were waiting. Waited 15 minutes past pickup time. Finally went inside. Order not ready. Asked the manager what happened and he says you just got here. Told him we have been waiting after telling the staff we had arrived. Left with food 35 minutes after scheduled pick up time. Cold pizza. Disappointing. Advice - skip the curbside ordering. It doesn’t exist.
Their regular menu is priced around $20 per dish. Their specials are around $30 which they cleverly forget to mention. You think your meal will be around $20 only to be thumped around $30!! This adds up with a family of 5! Also the pasta in tomato sauce was below average at best. Overpriced and overrated.
