Opinions de Rossoblu Los Angeles
I would say my experience overall was really good. The service was 10 out of 10. My food was pretty good. I had the tortellini. I definitely have had better tortellini, but it was pretty good. Still, the appetizers were my favorite.. the french fries were absolutely delicious. Apparently I overheard someone saying that their fries were like voted the best fries in Los Angeles or something. My drinks were absolutely good. Lots of options for vegans and for pescatarian which two of my sisters out of the four of us are. The vibe was nice. It was a little loud in there, but the music wasn’t overpowering to the point that you couldn’t hear each other. My one sister wasn’t feeling well and she ended up getting sick and they were so attentive to her. She just wasn’t feeling well that night. She hadn’t even had nothing to drink. Even though that happened, we still had a really good time and I truly enjoyed my meal and my experience.
THE AFFOGATO WAS DELISH. I'll admit its no Vivoli (Florence) or Blue Bells (Southern Ice Cream brand) but its a very very close second in comparison to some others I've had. I didn't get a picture due to my excitement but it was good. Prefer non toasted pistachios but 8.6/10 My mother had a great 50th birthday dinner. Grazie mille 😊
Rosso Blu delivered one of those dinners that reminds you why we do this for a living. I was there for a private event on Tuesday, and from the first course to the last bite, everything felt cooked with intention, technique, and heart. The tortellini were outstanding delicate pasta, perfect filling, and that kind of balance that only happens when someone truly knows what they’re doing. Then the soup: simple in the best way, deeply flavored, and made with the confidence of a chef who understands restraint. The cotoletta alla bolognese was a showstopper crisp, rich, beautifully executed, and absolutely satisfying without being heavy. And the finale: cannoli that tasted like the real thing fresh, clean, and not overly sweet. Honestly, every course was unbelievably good. I know Steve, and I already know how good he is but this dinner was exceptional. As a chef, I’m hard to impress because I know what it takes behind the scenes. Rosso Blu didn’t just impress me it made me happy. Bravissimi. Barbara Pollastrini
My three sisters and I dined at Rossoblu a few days ago while two of them were visiting from the East Coast for their very first trip to Los Angeles. I wanted their introduction to the LA dining scene to feel special and memorable, and Rossoblu exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Erik took wonderful care of us and made the entire experience feel warm and effortless. The team was also incredibly accommodating of my dietary restrictions, which I truly appreciated. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were just as impressive. Overall, it was a fantastic evening, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend Rossoblu to friends and family.
Rossoblu is a lovely restaurant with good food and excellent service. I arrived early for dinner for 2, and my lady friend arrived a little later. Michael, the General Manager, treated me as if I owned the restaurant. We tried to find a quiet table, which was not easy to do. In the end, an outdoor table was our best solution. Our waiter, Jonté, was courteous and speedy. The food was not quite up to par that evening, with the steak being overcooked, and the fish not being filleted, but overall, my guest and I had a wonderful conversation and a delightful time. Superb service does wonders for one's experience. Thank you, Michael and Jonté, for your attention to detail and your supreme kindness. Dinner for two came to just under $200.00. - Andrew Jay Gross
We had such an incredible dining experience at Rossoblu! From the moment we called to make our reservation, the hospitality was outstanding. Michael, the host, greeted us warmly and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, even welcoming us with our service dog. He gave us a beautiful table inside and treated us like family. Our server Patrick was just as wonderful — attentive, kind, and made the entire evening feel special. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is stunning, with beautiful art, great energy, and a lively yet comfortable vibe. And the food… absolutely unbelievable. Every dish was bursting with flavor — from the seafood fritto misto to the fresh pastas, everything was cooked to perfection. We ended the night with the olive oil cake, which was the perfect finish to an amazing meal. Between the warm hospitality, outstanding service, and incredible food, Rossoblu is truly one of the best dining experiences in Los Angeles. We can’t wait to come back!
Rossoblu is located in the Arts District, we've been trying to check out this restaurant and finally made it this past week before we headed to WDCH. We ordered Kampachi Crudo, Nidi di Rondine and Weiser Melon Granita from the Dine LA menu and supplements of Seafood frito misto and crab pasta. Every single dish is yummy. We were 30 minute late but were seated right away. The manager even brought us 2 glasses of complementary white wine. Our waiter, Eric, is attentive and explained the menu to us. We will definitely return.
While visiting from San Francisco, our dear friends introduced us to Rossoblu, and it was truly an unforgettable evening. My husband is from Bologna, so we’ve had plenty of authentic Bolognese cuisine—and Rossoblu absolutely lives up to it. Chef Steve Samson even chatted with my husband in Italian about their favorite neighborhoods back home, which made the whole experience feel incredibly personal and special. The restaurant is stunning—elegant, spacious, and full of energy. You can tell there’s a creative vision behind it and a talented team bringing it to life. ✨ The food? Bellissimo. We had a full spread of dishes and every single one was exceptional—from the beautifully balanced Bolognese ragù to the impossibly light lasagna that tasted just like it does in Italy. We finished with a perfect lemon sorbetto, olive oil cake with fresh fruit and mascarpone, and a negroamaro that tied everything together. The wine list was on point, and the service made us feel completely taken care of from start to finish. 🍷 I’ll be dreaming about this meal and recommending Rossoblu to anyone heading to LA. I can’t wait to come back! 💓
We were out and about shopping in the DTLA arts district and wanted a tasty and filling dinner to cap the day off. We decided on Rossoblu - what a perfect choice it was. The room is quite large with an open kitchen and a stunning mural. The drinks were tasty and they actually have a brewery on site so we had to try one of their beers too. The service was impeccable, attentive and very friendly. The food was of course the highlight, especially the toasted focaccia bread and the pasta. Highly recommended if you are near DTLA.
We went to Dama next door a couple of years ago, which we loved. And on our way out that night, we saw a grand opening sign at Rossoblu and bookmarked it. Last night's dinner was phenomenal. We started with drinks. I ordered the Vesuvio mezcal with Montenegro, which our pleasant waitress explained is a subtle bitter of the Italian Amaris. My wife ordered an Old Fashioned. Both were excellent, but the Vesuvio was exceptional and was one of the best mezcal drinks I ever had. And that's saying a lot, especially at an Italian restaurant. We ordered the meatballs, fritto misto, and eggplant for appetizers, the funghi pizza for the second course, the lasagne verde, tagliatelle for pastas, and the short rib for the main. This was for a group of four people so that we could sample more of the menu. The other couple had been there once before, and we all agreed that the tagliatelle was the least impressive. For me, the eggplant what quite thin and small, but still very silky and tasty, especially with the thinly sliced cheese. The pizza was quite good but could have used a crispier, more garlicky crust. The standout dish for me was the short rib, which was so tender and vibed well with its sides. A bottle of Nebbiolo helped wash everything down. For dessert, we had the afogato and tiramisu, both of which satisfied our sweet tooth but were not amazing, along with the cappuccino. Solid presentation though, especially with the silver trays and blue and white plating. Our thoughtful waitress went above and beyond and brought out four small glasses or straight Montenegro, which we all loved after I speaker so highly of it in my drink. The high ceilings and beautiful mural on the wall was very Romanesque. Great ambiance. We heard that Rossoblu is relocating down the street because someone bought the building. We will definitely be back!
Amazing building with a tall ceiling, I got attracted to the beautiful big mural art, open fire pit kitchen, the patio, bar and dining area. Everything here are tasty and remarkable. In particular, the fried calamari are nicely battered golden, crispy and delicious. And the handmade pasta, oh mine, so fresh and smooth. Cocktails are tasty and tasty. Overall, everything is great and will definitely come back and highly recommend to everyone. If the locals dine here, you know you are at the right spot.

We went there for a birthday celebration on a Sunday night. The plaza is pretty safe and clean. They have a valet parking. You can use paid street parking too. The outdoor seating area is large. We sat inside and the deco is very inviting. The host was very welcoming and friendly. The pricing is pretty affordable. I recommend Hugo cocktail. Bread is amazing. We ordered olives, grilled Branzino and home made pasta. Our stomach was so full so we did not order any desserts. However, they insisted on bringing us a delicious ice cream and a candle which was so sweet of them❤️thank you so much for a memorable night!!
A great dinning experience where the food keeps coming and you just want more! We found this place when we were traveling and thankfully we found it. The atmosphere is a casual sit down and the menu is reasonably priced while extensive. They brought out bread which was delicious and we ordered wine and a drink to start off with. We moved onto the first entrees of pasta and meat dishes. We also ordered desert and desert wine. Delicious for each and every bite! Their prices were cheaper then some other places we’ve been. The service was amazing, attentive and had plenty of recommendations thru out the evening. Highly recommend that you check this place out. It’s almost a hidden spot since its hidden between a few food places. They also offer pasta classes if you are into that!
Been here multiple times, pretty good food, many is diverse and seasonal. Lots of options for the various dietary restrictions. The drinks and cocktails are commendable. Desserts are standard for a 4+ star place. Perfect place for an office or guest dinner, it’s a little loud inside but not unbearable. There is outdoor seating better for chatting. Also good for dates and anniversaries.
Surprisingly popular restaurant in LA’s gentrifying garment district. Was here for a birthday dinner in their downstairs private area, must take steep stairs to access, unfortunately the elevator was inoperable so it is not handicap accessible and hard for the knee challenged. Food was delicious but I thought was unpretentiously simple in presentation. Cocktail drinks were also delicious.
It feels like it can be great, but it wasn't for us. We probably just got unlucky with timing. Our waiter kept rushing and slamming dishes and water loudly on our table. I suppose he was busy with another big table, but it just felt stressful. Little disturbances aside, food was fantastic. Octopus salad was on point. Dry-aged branzino was cooked perfectly and accompanied by delicious sides. Good coffee, but possibly the worst Tiramisu I've had (the only dish I wasn't satisfied with). The food presentation was great. Beautiful interior and overall pleasant atmosphere. I'd love to come back and try more of the menu items.
Beautiful space. Lovely decor. I appreciated that they had several mocktails and non-alcoholic beers on the menu. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with the food. 3 of the 4 dishes we ordered were not particularly impressive. This includes two of the pastas (something they're supposed to be known for). Service was warm, though somewhat inattentive.
