Sushi Enya - Beverly Grove

My girlfriend and I went on Thursday night a few weeks back and we did a walk-in without any reservations. We were greeted by a host and she could get us seating right away. We chose to sit at sushi bar facing sushi chefs. We had quite several sushi nigiris and Mozuku seaweed. We also ordered scallops and they were so fresh! A server helped us choose sake bottle and we had this great Hyakumoku Junmai Ginjo sake and we glad we made the right decision. Overall, I can say this restaurant really offer authentic Japanese sushi , all of their fish were very fresh, you could just kept on ordering one after another and it seemed like it was endless meal! 5 stars from us, will be back for sure !!!

Literally the best culinary experience we have ever had. The staff were simply amazing and the unison greeting on entering set the tone from the very start. Tsubasa, along with his team Tatsuke (our chef) Aidan and Oscar took such good care of us, caterred for all our preferences and ensured we were satisfied with our meal. Thanks again team! See you again.

Sushi Enya is our favorite sushi restaurant in the city... wonderful service and incredible quality fish. Unique items and rolls like the lemon roll, and seared Japanese waygu beef sushi ... everything is deliscious. This place is probably underrated/not as well known yet. Give it a try, you'll be happy you did!

omg absolutely delicious! definitely on the pricey side but well worth it. the staff was friendly and recommended so great options for us. a bottle of saki is must too.

Wow. After a terrible experience at another restaurant, We called here to see if they could fit us in. The hostess was very sweet and told us we could come in right away. We walked in and we're greeted by the amazing group of chefs and the head Chef Tomoki Honbe. We immediately felt at ease and it turned our entire night around. The chef walked us through every course and each one was more and more delicious as they progressed. I tried multiple things for the first time from black truffles to caviar. We were ecstatic at the amazing service. I normally eat just to eat. The flavors here were new to me and I couldn't have asked for more perfect experience. Come see these guys for quality atmosphere, amazing food and the unique experience of a Master Chef who knows how to make you feel like an honored guest.

Best sushi I ever had. The baked salmon roll was amazing. The scallops with caviar were my favorite. Everything was delicious.

A little neighborhood happy place with excellent food and stellar service. The interior could use a bit of work, it's not the most chic nor is it cozy but it's perfect for a business meeting or a weekday date night (who you've already impressed somewhere else.)

Probably, one of the best sushi restaurants outside of Japan one can imagine. Their seared salmon transferred me to another universe. The scallops were gorgeous too.

Amazing sushi and amazing service. We were scrambling to find a good dinner place late at night and SO happy to have stumbled across Sushi Enya. We walked in and were greeted so warmly and served almost immediately. I had some of the sushi rolls, which were some of the freshest, tastiest fish I’ve ever had. I also did the crunchy roll which was delicious. My friend who lives here has found her go-to sushi spot and I will definitely make sure to return when ever I’m in town.

Outstanding! One of the best omakases I’ve ever had. Outstanding chef, GM, and staff. My chef would cut a piece of fish and leave it out for 15 minutes, to allow it come closer to room temperature, as it should be. I’ve gone twice and should have gone the last time I was in LA. BUT, I will be back next time!

i brought my girlfriend here for omakase and i don’t even have the words to express how blown away we both were. the chef, aiden, was not only a master at his craft, but also very friendly and personable. every single piece of sushi that entered my mouth stayed for as long as possible so i could savor every flavor. i literally could not think of a single suggestions to improve the food, or experience this place offers.

Risa was a great server and the food was very tasty.

Sashimi is VERY good. Salmon hand roll is very good. Spicy tuna crispy rice is decent. Tiger Crunch roll I expected to be hot, but it's cold. Huge portion. Very salty, but good. Cherry blossom roll is DELICIOUS. Especially the salmon one. Sponge cake and the mochi are delicious. I love that you can just keep ordering as you go, and it comes out really quickly. Excellent happy hour deal til 6:30pm. Makes it way cheaper. Good and friendly service. Tables are a bit too close together; hard to have private conversation. They're also pretty small.

Sushi Enya in Beverly Hills offers an excellent dining experience with very fresh fish and beautifully prepared dishes. The atmosphere is calm elegant and perfect for a relaxed sushi dinner. Got the spicy tuna roll and lemon roll and each were divine!!!! The staff is amazing, I love that you can see the chefs make the rolls in front of you. The entire atmosphere was intimate but fun, friendly and memorable.

Nice sushi spot. I’ve had a bad batch before when ordering through postmates but if you eat there - I doubt you’ll ever have a problem. I’ll end up changing this review once I order from them again through postmates and have no issue. I’ve also dined here over 10 times and it’s been great every single time. They have some of the best unique special rolls in the area.

My favorite local sushi spot. It’s a cozy and warm environment. Fish quality is great and the service is always top notch! How they present their rolls is unique. Their appetizers are all excellent as well. The BEST crispy rice spicy tuna we have ever had! It’s HUGE, VERY crunchy, and has a sweet aftertaste. A plus: they are always playing jazz in the restaurant in the dozens of times we have been here and makes for a romantic evening. I honestly haven’t found a place that comes close to Enya

Had a lovely dinner at Sushi Enya. The fish was very fresh and well prepared, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant is beautiful and relaxed. Compared to other sushi places in LA (and there are so many!) it is high quality but the price point is more expensive per piece even by sushi standards. We called it the “Beverly Hills tax” lol You won’t be disappointed but if you’re being more financially mindful, then I think you’ll have many other quality choices in LA. We (group of 2) each ordered the sushi combination (which was 9 pieces and a snow crab hand roll $65) - perfect seasoning, right amount of wasabi and soy sauce, no additional dipping required. We also each ordered a glass of sake and two additional pieces off the menu (scallop and black cod, both fantastic!!) - highly recommend ordering at least one piece from the specials menu if you’re a sushi veteran. My only disappointment was the snow crab hand roll - it came out at the same time as our nigiri sushi and I felt pressured to eat it right away to avoid the seaweed getting soggy. And when I did eat it right away, it didn’t make a difference - the seaweed was already soggy which makes me believe they had let it sit for some time before making the other pieces. For the price we paid for the meal in total (~$200 including tax), you’d expect a hand roll to be more crisp or brought out later in the meal. If I were to visit again, I’d order pieces individually.

The sushi was amazingly delicious! The mixed tempura took a very long time. I had to wait for it. And it was on the greasy side. But the eel and salmon roll was delish! It costs a little more than most. But was worth the freshness.. Will be going back for sure.

Sushi quality was decent, atmosphere was a little too loud, prefer a quiet place to be able to have a nice conversation, definitely on the pricey side, portions are small. I've made better sushi. Also, waitress made a mistake on my oder and at the time of paying she wanted me to pay for the items she brought to me without telling me that the item I was getting was not what I had ordered, and I didn't know either. In addition I was being charged twice as much for two orders. They ended up fixing my check and we paid for what we ordered. Still, they got a nice tip.

I've eaten at multiple sushi places and this place did not meet the expectations i expected being that it's in Beverly Hills and I'm not exaggerating. Food tasted regular, portions were ok and only thing i really enjoyed were the Japanese Mountain Potato Fries. The waiter was amazing and friendly. If the food was better I'd come back just because of the waiter. Also for expensive as it is their menu's is made out of paper. Not that it matters but presentation is huge.

I ordered to pick up a couple of weeks ago based on the good reviews. I was not greeted very well and yes, is distancing but you tell me politely where I should wait for my order?! I waited to long even though my bag looked ready... anyway. I did not check order, I trusted them but was a big mistake. My food looked like leftover. Sushi smelled too much and I tell you: was not fresh as sushi should be. Few pieces did not eat at all because they were really not pleasant to the eye: spot of blood and other not fresh fish colors. I should have faked this order back right then but after 10h work you just want to enjoy dinner and relax. I will never order from here again. I might give it another try in person so I can give back the order if is not as fresh and good looking as sushi should be. You can't just eat raw fish and get sick... what the chef was thinking giving me this pieces?! That I won't know? That a pick up order can get away and get rid off some old fish?! No, no, no! Not acceptable. Sorry. Not a good experience for me.

other than the nigiri, everything else was bad. environment was poor, service was subpar (our main server had weird attitude, the other girls who served our food were nice), and rolls are so pathetic. we honestly feel scammed. Weird sauces on all of them and so squishy and mushy. Way better sushi places elsewhere.

Fish was not fresh. The eel had some plastic stuck on top of it, which I was lucky enough to have removed. The color of the tuna was grey. Very overpriced for the quality. You might as well order from somewhere like Sushi 101.

Avoid this restaurant. The sushi was disgusting, I found HAIR in my food, very nasty sushi restaurant and when I informed the server, there was no apology. This place has horrible service, bad sushi, and an owner that does not care about your business. Don’t waste your money or time at this place, you will regret it. The food was not tasty. Not to mention they charge for spicy mayo, how ridiculous. The restaurant also smelled really weird. Never coming back again. Definitely do NOT recommend.

The employees that work at this location are discriminative to Uber Eats drivers that pick up orders from this location. They assume we all steal food from the customers we are suppose to deliver to. I've been driving for Uber since 2016 and have never stole food... As a matter of fact the thought to steal someone's food has never crossed my mind. I have a better rating than this restaurant. DO BETTER!
