They've barely started or advertised their pizza program yet, but I chatted with the owner and chef while they were just opening the new location. I've worked different kitchens for years but pizza is where my heart is. They have a fantastic pizza oven tucked into the back of the dining room, surrounded by an upcoming wine bar. Mom and I stopped by to try a few things but I was so happy when I saw they already started slinging pizzas. They said it's still a work in progress locking down the right flour for their dough, which shocked me because it's already the best pizza I've had in the Valley. Hands down. Dough seems to be a throwaway in most of Los Angeles, but whatever their fermentation process shines through so fast. Light, springy, but perfectly toasted crusts, proper bubbling, and that developed sour taste. Honestly what I wouldn't give to eat one of these every day, or even work a few days shifts with them and get back in front of an oven like that! Simple fennel sausage pizza is already frustratingly burned into my mind and cravings. Cheers guys, I know what my payday meal will be every two weeks at the least 😂
Can't believe we had never been here. Food and service was great.
Just saw the restaurant on "Dirty John"(2018). Y'all are famous-ish. Looks like a LOVELY place! 😊😊
chicken pesto sammy and fries were great!
The best thing about this place is the New Wine Bar: NOCHE 💥 OMG the wines one can buy by the glass are top shelf, and at surprisingly lower prices than I expected to pay while dining out! And hard to get bottles like Michel Rolland, Wow! Oh & they cook special wood fired pizzas right there in Noche! Went awesome with my glass of red!!!
They tend to be very busy in the afternoon, just a heads up. The kitchen is fast and you can see your food being prepared too. All in all I'd say it's one of the best places for breakfast and lunch in Burbank. It's always clean and the staff is always kind and welcoming.
Fresh breakfast, sandwiches and pastries. I had an egg-mushroom-cheese-avacado sandwich with truffle oil and a salad on the side and it was amazing. My blueberry scone had plenty of blueberry and paired perfectly with my coffee. The staff were so nice. I will definitely come back if and when I can.
Good food, strong menu, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Parking can be tough if it’s a busy day, but there’s lots of 2 hour street spots along a neighborhood behind here.
What a great place. Can't wait to enjoy brunch there sometime. Dinner was FANTASTIC. Great seasonal options and overall menu.
I've been going here for years and it's definitely a favorite in Toluca Lake. The staff is great and the space is super cute, and they have expanded their outdoor seating during the pandemic. They also have incredible bakery items. Their brownies are truly the best!
My office orders lunch from here often and it is one of my favorites! They offer a variety of delicious sandwiches and salads that is sure to accommodate all kinds of people with very different palates. The restaurant is very quaint as well. I love grabbing a seat outside on warm valley days in the sunshine.
Loved it! The food was great. Service was quick. And the staff was super friendly. It was our first time there and we went for breakfast. But we've already made a note to go back for lunch soon.
Healthy ingredients compared to 90% of restaurants, outstanding service, super delicious blend of flavors and very fair prices given the high quality of freshly prepared food. The vast array of desserts are mouth watering and they serve fresh organic coffee. The staff truly cares about providing an excellent hospitality experience. Skip the fake and fraudulent places like Granville, Lemonade and Simple Things and eat here!
What a great local treasure! Great food, service, and vibe.
I come here almost everyday for a coffee, but the people who work here make it worth coming to. Everyone is just the best and the new locations attention to detail is off the charts. I really wish the oatmeal cookie would come back 🙏🏻 it was truly the best and now I have an oatmeal cookie void in my life. The cowboy cookie has too much going on for me personally and just doesn’t take the place of the OG. Love this spot and highly recommend 🤍
I am so impressed with the beautiful new space Sweet Salt has moved to. Before that I would eat at sweet salt when had breakfast meetings. I love their Spinach omelette so truthfully that's what I've stuck with. When meeting with a client at the new location, one of the guests at a neighboring table said the food wasn't that good to them. I was very happy to not have that experience, rather my spinach omelette, salad and toast were just as delicious!
First time trying. We were a bit confused as the host desk had a sign saying to seat yourself. We finally figured out it was a stand in line at the counter to order place. We placed our order. My wife had the Steak and Blue on baguette. I got the Shortrib sandwich with fries. We both really enjoyed the sandwiches. The surprise was how good their Japanese Lager was. I really enjoyed it. The service was great and the relaxed atmosphere made it a great place to just hang out. We are definitely coming again.
I've been meaning to stop by for months. This was a unique yet lovely experience. Stand on line to place/pay for my order. Grabbed my number, took a few steps where I cured my coffee, needed additional napkins and my hot sauce. Next thing I know , this lovely plate was presented. Thanks to Hannah who was very helpful to me, while I decided my breakfast. I so enjoyed my meal. I didn't feel heavy. In the middle of Toluca Lake, Sweet salt is a relaxing environment for solo eaters, get togethers and family dining. Stop by for lunch and dinner.
Fresh, carefully-prepared food and coffee served in a spacious, tastefully-appointed restaurant. My salad and coffee were excellent and I enjoyed my time at the restaurant. The prices were fairly high, but semi-reasonable given the atmosphere and quality of food.
My wife and I have visited this location several times. We have always enjoyed it. The staff is always friendly, welcoming and helpful in answering menu questions. You never feel rushed at the counter. In all the times we have visited the food has been consistently good. Fresh, tasty and a decent portion size. The coffee is very good and full of flavor. I personally enjoy the Nitro cold brew that they serve. They have great menu selections and something for everyone. The location is a pet friendly establishment and have several tables outside to sit with your four legged friend. I enjoy the Micro-greens omelet and my wife has had the avocado toast several times and has enjoyed it each time. The inside is clean and welcoming with ample seating at tables as well as booths. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.
Fantastic place to have lunch in Burbank. Very spacious inside, the food is great, and decor is fantastic! This place is perfect for meetings since there are a lot of tables and the food is served very fast. I’m definitely coming there again.
This place was great! So surprised at the quality. Super fresh, I lived the dressing on the greens they served. It was a perfect light breakfast. pretty good coffee too! I cannot wait to come back.
Got the fig and prosciutto sandwich with fries. Tasty sandwich. Looking forward to trying others. Cinnamon roll was also great.
I really feel like you get what you pay for that sweet souls. Generous portions great value and always farm fresh to table. The entire kitchen staff cares about the quality of the food and it's clear in the presentation and flavor. Sweet salt in my humble opinion you're ready to expand to Pasadena, Silverlake and beyond!

I’m surprised this place isn’t rated higher. Everything we ordered was very flavorful and well prepared, with seemingly clean ingredients. Ambience is nice - clearly effort was put into decor. We shared a grilled cheese with tomato soup, Brussels sprout/white bean tacos, Caesar salad with salmon, and butternut squash soup between us and our three young kids. Everyone was very happy and it was exactly the right amount of food.
A big thank you to server Aidan. She was so accommodating, and helped to find choices to have with my food allergies in mind. The place has great ambience, especially decorated for the holidays! The food is excellent, the service is more:GO AIDAN! 😊 👍 ❤️
Sweetsalt in Toluca Lake is a true gem. The food is fresh and delicious, the staff are friendly, and the space is beautiful. I went in for a pastry and a salad and ended up trying their pizza, which was absolutely mouthwatering. Every bite tasted fresh and full of flavor. I am so glad I found this spot and will definitely be back.

Great food, welcoming staff! Only thing missing is easier parking, perhaps valet. I was there on a Sunday night and it was very difficult to find parking nearby due to the packed parking lot and confusing street parking regulations. Other than that, it was a great place and location, will come back!
A great lunch spot. Every sandwich I've tried has been delicious. It is a little pricey, though. You stand in line and order at the counter, and then grab any available table. I've never tried any desserts because they're hard to see, they don't have prices and I don't want to stand in line again after eating my lunch. But from the outside window they look great.
This place is great! It's a cool environment. The food is great and the chicken sandwich. Coffee is great. Had a vanilla oat milk latte would highly recommend.
Yum yum yummy what a great place and the food is amazing! I can walk there from my house and dogs are allowed too outside of corse. It's very clean and the atmosphere is really cool. If you're trying to avoid kids though maybe not your place. The outside is a little small but the inside is huge and the variety of food is great. Great coffee too! The brussels sprouts are to die for you got to try them.
Parking is my biggest gripe about this place since there's not many around. The sandwiches and salad here is pretty good but a bit over priced. I had their lobster sandwich which I don't recommend for $17. I tasted more bread and mayonnaise than lobster. I did enjoy their Shrimp Po Boy with chimichurri sauce! Their salad seems to be a good portion and taste pretty good. Nice cozy place for lunch!
I love this place since it is walking distance from my office location and they have a different variety of food and drinks then some of my other favorite local spots. The last two times I have ordered and picked up, I was unfortunately disappointed. I'm the type of guy who picks up his food, assumes it is right, walk back to my office and then sip my coffee or open the bag of food and find out what I ordered was wrong and have to think if I really want to walk all the way back or not to get it fixed which is frustrating. The first mistake that was made was that I ordered a side of bacon and was so bummed when I did have my two bacon pieces in the bag. Also, I informed the guys at the restaurant about this, but when you order online, you do not have the option to choose a regular vanilla latte, just the lavender latte, which is not something I want a lot (so hoping to see that change). A couple days ago, I actually walked to the restaurant and ordered a vanilla latte, which after getting back to my office I found out there was no vanilla in there. For some people, they might think oh well you still got the coffee...well for me I want to enjoy my coffee and flavor is important. It was sooo bland I could not drink it and that was disappointing. I feel like it's a hit or miss. Will I go back? Yes I will, but it's not going to be my first choice.
I’ve been here twice. The first time ordering poached eggs and toast. This time I ordered the Avocado toast with a poached egg and lavender and vanilla iced latte. The toast was a bit overdone this time but had a good flavor. The lattes are nice -but definitely I’d add a double shot if you like a stronger coffee taste! This is another great choice for those looking for a spot to bring a laptop and just get some work done—it has clean aesthetically pleasing interiors with plenty of different seating options (booths, outdoor, indoor, tucked away corner seating) to suit your mood!
Spacious, large and airy. Nice low key vibe. My partner had breakfast and I just had a mocha. She said the breakfast sandwich was good, but better across the street at Red Maple. Looked good to me though, but for a breakfast sandwich it seemed expensive. Keep in mind my breakfast sandwich references are NYC bodegas (which never disappoint). Apparently the breakfast burrito was the most popular, I overhead, so get that. The mocha was ok. A little too hot.

Breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich was fine. Flavor was a little lacking and odd to get a side salad that is just lettuce. Nitro cold brew is not on nitro, tasted like stale iced coffee for $6.50. Don’t know about their lunch or dinner
Food here is excellent. Had breakfast this morning. Spinach/cheese scrambled eggs with side salad, potatoes, toast and raspberry jam. All very yummy. Coffee was also good. Especially enjoyed a rustic apple tart (only available weekends; sells out early). Service leaves ALOT to be desired, from not having enough menus available for those in line to order, having to wait in line to order, not having coffee available after ordering & not having it brought to table when told it would be, having to serve oneself for cream and water, having food brought to table but not placed in front of guest, no coffee refills, unfriendly staff, except for one male (unfortunately no name tags so can't acknowledge him personally or mention the rest with attitude issues). Atmosphere okay, but tainted by toxic staff and place to be seen attitude of some guests. Overall, the food is great. Not sure it's worth it given service issues. Will not be leaving tips in future should I decide to give them another chance.
I had left a 5 star review for Sweet Salt a while back and been a customer for over 10 years as a Toluca Lake local, however I need to leave an updated review as their prices have sky rocketed and foot portions gotten smaller. A breakfast burrito used to cost around $13 but I understand moving to a bigger location means higher rent. What I don't get is that I used to be able to substitute the bacon in the breakfast burrito for avocado at no extra charge. Now they're charging $4 for this substitution. Do I get $4 off for not taking bacon? Absolutely not. I simply can't justify paying over $22 for a tiny breakfast burrito and cannot afford to come back. It's still the best breakfast burrito around but the cost is simply too high. Wish you guys the best. See how small this burrito is in the picture.
3.5 The outdoor seating vibe was charming, and this is what initially lured us in. However, as someone who is GF and DF, I struggled a bit here. They were out of GF bread, so I ended up having to modify a couple of dishes. Maybe that is why they weren’t as good as they normally are with all the ingredients included. 1. Egg Hash with bacon, omitted cheese- This was pretty good. The bacon was tasty but the hash was a bit under seasoned/ salted. 2. Duck Omelet omitted goat cheese- honestly this was flavourless, could have been because we didn’t include the goat cheese. The duck seemed like it was cooked in old oil. 3. Oat milk latte- this was actually a pretty great latte! No complaints here. Would I come back here? Maybe when I no longer have to be on this special diet.

I used to love their food, and service before they moved locations. The service seemed more personal and attentive , the food was delicious and the details such as the fresh jam served with toast rather than commercial packaged jam (now) made all the difference to enjoy and appreciate a local spot. The baker who made all their baked goods was spectacular, they were some of the best gourmet fresh cookies, fresh delicious pastries I've ever had, and i'm picky! Now their baked goods are at best ok, taste dry and not that far off from store bought. This place used to be amazing , and now it just seems like a large space trying to cater to a large crowd without the warmth of service and a commitment to quality food. I miss the old Sweetsalt.
Finally had a chance to try lunch after previously having only enjoyed breakfast and take out pastries/coffee all of which were very good. We both ordered a different type of chicken salad and a large lemonade each. The total with tip $62- ouch! That might not have been such a shock had there been any chicken in the two salads. The almost microscopic few slivers we found wouldn’t have covered the tip on my little finger all assembled together. We were left with salads made mostly with piles of lettuce each with a different overwhelming odd tasting dressing. Perhaps an off day but it was a very disappointing expensive lunch with much better offerings in the neighborhood.

The last time I ordered from here I arrived a few minutes earlier than my pick up time and noticed the fries were room temp. I asked the nice cashier/waitstaff if they could please be reheated as I didn't want to return to the office and hand out cold fries by then. He suggested next time I come 10 minutes prior to my pick up time because the food had been sitting out for at least that long in the bag under the AC (who knew?!). As he went to ask the kitchen staff, the short lady dressed in an all black chef uniform/chef hat refused to do so and through the glass looked like she was arguing w/him. He came back saying they're unable to, then when I was countering the refusal, she knocks on the glass gesturing to bring them back. In all, it took an additional 10 minutes from my early pick up to the time I could leave w/hot fries (while now the burgers are just getting cold). I asked the office if we could scratch that place from the lunch rotation after this experience. I would rather wait a few minutes for the food order to be completed than arrive a few minutes early to see that it has been sitting out for a while getting cold. If it's salads it's no big deal but cold burgers and fries?! 👎🏼
I've been a customer since their smaller location down the street. I've been here many times because I work in the neighborhood. The food, although overpriced, is usually okay but the service has never been great. I was rarely greeted when I walked in or when it was my turn to order. The staff at the registers usually just stand there and wait until you order - even though I was a regular and have seen these people so many times, there was never a 'hello, welcome back' or even a welcome smile. I would recommend giving your money to Red Maple or another breakfast place where you will be greeted by staff who actually want to be there.
I had a pizza and a salad and both of them where so bland the food is flavorless. It looks like a restaurant but it kinda works like a cafe and so I went in waiting to be seated then I got tired of waiting around and finally I found out I have to order at the counter and sit wherever…yeah no biggest complaint is the food and the price is crazy

Food was amazing when they were a smaller, friendlier and accommodating restaurant down the street. The menu is very limited during dinner. Ambiance is nice, but waiter lit all candles on the tables except for mine. Not the environment I remember where you were greeted when you entered. Tried to order one of their best tasting steak and brie sandwiches only to get turned away and told they don’t serve off of that menu at 5 PM. Also told they don’t serve any lattes and coffee drinks. Complete disappointment.
Better get here early. Always seems like they are out of all the good pastries by 10AM at the latest. Wish they would make more since it happens every weekend. Come on guys, we want to buy food, but you never have anything later in the day.

The sandwich is so bad it literally tastes like airplane food the quality and freshness is really lacking
My lunch was $40, I ordered the chicken salad & a glass of wine. While the food was tasty, the chicken salad was really disappointing —it had only a few tiny shreds of chicken, barely a quarter of a breast for the entire meal. Disappointing, especially at that price.
