Opinions de TGI Korean BBQ Los Angeles
TGI Korean BBQ is by far the best Korean BBQ in Los Angeles. I choose the deluxe menu for $84.99 which included all the lobster tail you can eat , (1) tomahawk steak (limited to 1 per 2 person order, all you can real ribeye steaks, tiger shrimp and other assorted shrimps , scallops and the list goes on and on. The Korean condiments were fresh and delicious . The bill was $185 including tax for 2 people but to me was an excellent value - no complaint's everything was delicious . I tipped $30 and gave our busboy separate tip of $20 he really took care of us! I am not a paid guide and am in no way whatsoever affiliated with business . Had a great time and highly recommend.
Are you looking for a new korean bbq to go to? Then try here... I want expecting much due to price. The price for all you can is cheaper than some other places, but the meat is good quality, where it is not served frozen. They also serve marinated korean bbq ribs where all you can eat bbq's do not serve. The servers are really nice even when my toddler made a lot of mess while eating, they never make you uncomfortable. I've been here 4 times so far, and not once have I been unsatisfied. They have valet parking and a small area with bar for drinks while you wait for your party.
I had taken a really long break from kbbq and choosing TGI as my comeback made life worth living again. I just felt like I was going to the same place(s) and I got over it, but after my experience at TGI, I’m craving it again even as I just had it! There’s three options, A menu $29.99, B menu $36.99, and C menu $42.99 as of March 2025. If you aren’t going to fully commit to $42.99 per person, do yourself the favor and at least do menu B!! At $37 per person, I felt like I got my money’s worth from their selection of pork jowl, to beef finger, and beef short ribs. My absolute favorites were the pork jowl, the beef finger, and you HAVE to get the marinated beef boneless cut. They marinate it with fresh chunky garlic and the marbling on the meat is insane. The quality of the meats here were sooooo good. Sometimes, I hesitate getting pork at some places because they have a particular smell, but I couldn’t stop getting the pork jowl. The way all the meat came out showed that the cuts were really thought through! Our servers were constantly on stand by and delivered rounds after rounds of us ordering crazy amounts of sides and meats the entire 2 hours we were there! (Be aware that there is a 2-hour limit) but it was no problem as we found that was the perfect amount of time for us to dine and not feel rushed. Overall, I was so pleasantly surprised by a spot I always passed by and wanted to try! Loved it!
I don’t usually write reviews, but this place totally deserves one! I came here for my friend’s birthday and we went to TGI—they recently added an unlimited lobster option, and we had to try it. It was $69.99 per person, but honestly, with unlimited lobster and all the premium meats, it felt like a steal. I couldn’t believe we were getting all that for this price!💯👍 The menu included giant short rib, prime sirloin, marinated LA galbi, lobster, tiger shrimp, and more. Everything was high quality, but the lobster, short rib, and LA galbi were next level—some of the best BBQ I’ve had in Koreatown. The lobster literally melted in my mouth!!!! The place is spacious with a second floor and outdoor terrace, the vibe was great, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. I’m definitely coming back. Highly recommend!🔥
TGI Korean BBQ in Koreatown is a must-visit if you’re looking for an elevated all-you-can-eat KBBQ experience. We tried their new Luxury AYCE menu priced at $69.99 per person, and it absolutely delivered. The selection included lobster tails, tiger shrimp, giant short ribs, sirloin steak, and more — all top-quality, well-marinated, and cooked to perfection. There are some clear house rules to be aware of: • Minimum of 2 guests per party (no solo dining) • 2-hour dining limit (though we were done in about 90 minutes because we got full fast!) • 18% gratuity added for groups of 4 or more • $5 per plate charge for leftovers and no takeout or to-go boxes allowed We made an 11:30 AM reservation, so parking wasn’t an issue for us — but during peak hours, it can be challenging. Service was friendly and efficient, and the ambiance was upbeat but not overwhelming. Definitely a great choice for a group outing, special occasion, or just treating yourself to some high-end Korean BBQ. Make a reservation and come hungry — you’ll leave satisfied.
TGI offers an all-you-can-eat experience, but the quality of the meat is exceptional! The Giant Beef Rib were especially amazing. They also serve traditional Korean side dishes that are well-balanced. You can enjoy various dipping sauces depending on whether you're eating beef or pork, and the meat dipped in cheese was truly a unique experience! I will definitely be visiting again!
Food was delicious. All the Beef options were really good. Service was good.
I loved my dining experience at TGI KBBQ! The food was delicious! There were an abundance of meat and side options. TGI came out with a new menu, TGI Luxury AYCE Menu, with unlimited lobster, tiger shrimp, and seafood gratin which I highly recommend! Everything was so high quality! The staff was very kind and attentive! I will definitely be back for more.
TGI is my go to spot for AYCE in ktown. That have a wide selection of meat and the premium option is only $5 more. Brisket and pork belly are my fav and also love that they have cooked food options like (Cajun boil, chicken wings, etc.). The steamed egg is also bomb. There was no wait going in on Sunday for lunch. They even turned on the football game for us. Valet parking is only $3 I believe?? Otherwise there’s typically a few spots open on the surrounding streets.
This is my favourite ayce kbbq place during covid! Came here at least five times the last three months. Meat quality is great (highly recommend beef belly!); great selection of beer! They also have other interesting stuff like crab stew and Cajun shrimps (both are highly recommended!!). For 29.9 per person, this place is great!!
Had a tasty all you can eat Korean BBQ meal here with plenty of great sides (get the crispy fried tofu and radish wraps!! SO GOOD!!) - we got the premium meats which including an entire steak, wagyu beef belly, and a giant, tasty beef rib. You get three meats at a time and as many sides as you want with generous portions. Friendly, helpful staff, nice outdoor patio and $3 parking directly next to the restaurant, which is much easier than trying to find street parking.
they have a large selection of high quality meats and delicious sides. the marbling of the meat was BEAUTIFUL, and the meats just melt on your tongue. from their basic selection at $29.99 to their premium selection at $42.99, i’d say any price point is so worth it! we got the premium selection and tried: - giant beef rib - beef tongue - wagyu beef belly - beef brisket - prime sirloin - thick pork belly - rib finger - corn cheese - japchae - steamed egg - korean fried chicken - spicy ramen - large beef short rib soup 🤩 everything was so good. especially the meats, for the quality and the price i’d say it was SO WORTH IT! the service was great as well. they were kind and attentive
Great food! You cook the meat on a skillet at the table. They also.offer delicious sides. All-you-can-eat is based on various Tiers so choose wisely based on your tastes.
Incredible experience! To start the location is well designed with plenty of ventilation. The staff is amazing! Everyone is super friendly and happy to help. They even offer recommendations and will work around thing to get you what you like. If you need help cooking they are there to lend a hand and impressive skills. This is definitely a go to spot that you will not leave hungry!
They have a $14.99 lunch special. We ordered the beef brisket, pork belly, and spicy pork bulgogi. The brisket was nice and tender with the right amount of fat and meat. The pork belly was thick and tasty. The spicy pork bulgogi had the right amount of spiciness and was very tender too. We also got a steamed egg and tofu soup. All of it was very good for the price.
I NEVER write reviews but man, this was hands down the best kbbq experience I’ve ever had. Beats high end ones like Quarters. GET THE UNLIMITED LOBSTER premium option. Everything was so delicious and high quality. The service was amazing, they were busy but our server was so attentive and always cut the meat for us. Never felt rushed like at other kbbq places. A++++++
Good quality food, with a wide selection available. Chilled atmosphere for friends or family. Service staff were very nice, but were hot on their feet, so it seems they could do with a few more people on the floor. Nice outside area, and good inside seating means you can go with a fair sized group, or an intimate few. Main take away is the chilled atmosphere and good quality food, especially considering the reasonable price. Lots of locals which ads to the ambulance.
Exceptional food. Great service. We are not from the area, but my family LOVES/MUST eat here every time we visit.
kicked off my 🎉birthday🎉 month with some absolutely amazing Korean BBQ! Was soo good that I missed pics 😂 we enjoyed: wagu beef belly, braised short ribs, Korean fried chicken, bulgogi, marinated beef rib finger, and ribeye. Of course we also had spicy cucumber salad (oi muchim), sweet and sour radish salad, and Korean potato salad (gamja salad). Stuffed is an understatement. PS. Parking is pretty terrible but food is worth it!
Loved Cali for having so many more options for Asian food and at such short distances. Never had Korean BBQ and had a great time! The food was great and the servers were so nice even after my friends and I made a mistake by putting something on the grill that we shouldn't have. 😭🤣🤣
Such an amazing kbbq spot! We opted for the premium ayce tier and all the meats were delicious. I definitely recommend getting this tier because it has the giant beef rib and wagyu beef belly which were our favorites! They also have amazing options such as kimchi fried rice, Korean corn dog, and corn cheese. I also love how spacious the restaurant is and they have an outdoor patio as well!
Good high quality meats, excellent service. And the lobster 🦞 tails are delicious. The 85 dollar a person price tag sounds steep, but with unlimited lobster I feel like you can easily make it worth it.
Got the $69.99 Luxury AYCE that comes with unlimited steamed lobster. Between the lobster and the giant beef ribs, I think it's well worth it. It also included cooked dishes like spicy rice cake, bibim soba noodles, korean fried chicken and more. You definitely have to come ready to put in work. My faves were probably the beef ribs and the wagyu beef belly. I think I had about 4-5 lobsters. For sure got my money's worth.
The all you can eat lobster is totally worth the $84 price tag. Delicious, large lobster tails served with drawn butter, yum! I recommend throwing it on the grill for a minute to get a little sear on it. The rest of the menu is very good as well, lots of great items to choose from. Service is attentive but a bit disorganized. The loud music doesn't lend to the overall experience but it's still not too bad. I definitely would give this spot a try, you won't regret it!
One of my go-to spots for KBBQ!! They have such great deals here and the options here are huge! I love that there's indoor and outdoor seating options especially in case you don't want to bring the KBBQ smell home with you. The beef quality here is great. My favorites are their rib eye steak, beef rib, bulgogi, and beef belly. Service here was amazing! We were always made sure everything was good. Love it here!
It was first time here and I thought why not go for the premium AYCE menu! They had a huge selection of meats and I can’t believe they even have wagyu beef belly which was one of my favorites. They also had this giant beef rib and it was surprisingly very tender and delicious. The premium menu was definitely worth it because the meats were top quality.
I’m very impressed with this place. Excellent all you can eat KBBQ. We all had to go with their premium AYCE option that includes several wagyu and premium steak options (some of them you can only get once). All the meat was incredible. Brisket, wagyu, tongue, bulgogi, pork belly, etc. each was fresh and delicious and high quality! The sites are nice as well. You HAVE to get their KFC (Korean fried chicken). It is straight fire. The spicy rice cakes are also really yummy. They have a nice cheesy kimchi fried rice. The staff were attentive and friendly. They continuous changed grills which we appreciated. We left full and so satisfied. Meal, drinks, and tip will cost around $60-70/person.
Me and my boyfriend wanted a grand meal before taking off to a camping trip. We knew we had to stay full til later in the evening so we decided to visit this AYCE KBBQ spot. It was the best decision! This spot has 2 options for AYCE: the $34.99 special set and a $40.99 that includes premium cuts and side items. We had the premium set because we wanted to try their giant beef rib, wagyu beef belly, prime sirloin and lip on ribeye steak. They were all so great. My favorites were the wagyu beef belly and the marinated LA galbi. I loved that they had unique items such as the dynamite scallops, louisana cajun shrimp, korean fried chicken for their appetizers and side items. They also have an extensive drink menu. Meter/street parking all around and if you get lucky they have a small lot you can park at as well.
Ariel provided outstanding service and made my dining experience at TGI Korean exceptional. The meats were fresh, the marinades were flavorful, and the all-you-can-eat option for $89 is unbeatable. I will definitely be returning. A solid 5-star experience!
Unlimited Kbbq and lobster is what's going on here! The meat quality is great and the seafood is cooked perfectly! I came here for my birthday and I will definitely not forget this meal. The service is amazing and the atmosphere makes you feel welcomed. Its fun and a great place to sit with friends and family and enjoy a beautiful meal. I recommend TGI 100%
✨Join me for any Korean BBQ meal, and YOU can get used to relaxing & watching ME take over grill duty✨ We recently stopped by @tgikoreanbbq for their scrumptious Giant Beef Rib, which is included in their Premium AYCE Menu for $40.99. Don’t forget to even grill your dessert- just trust me and heat up the chunky cinnamon-seasoned pineapple😉 We were also able to choose from their Summer Menu, with dishes like: 🥩Marinated Galbi Beef Short Rib, 🥩Marinated Beef Boneless Short Rib Cut, 🧀Corn Cheese & Nachos, 🍲Beef Soup with Vegetables, 🍜Jjajang Ramen, 🦐Cajun Shrimp, and 🍢Korean Rice Cake Skewers 📣PSA: Don’t miss out on their Weekday BOGO Happy Hour (Monday-Thursday from 5-7pm) and Weekend Lunch Special (11:30am-4pm AYCE for $27.99). Don’t want to smell like what you ate? Their Outside Patio will keep you smelling like how you came in (also perfect for large parties🙌🏼) We had: 🍖Giant beef rib, 🥩Wagyu beef belly, 🥓Brisket, 🌽Corn cheese and nachos, 🥚Steamed egg, 🥓Pork belly, 🍠Sweet potato, and 🍍Grilled pineapple
Great KBBQ spot with some unique dishes! I got my KBBQ favorites - brisket, pork belly, bulgogi, corn cheese, and steamed egg. And also got their massive rib which I’ve never even seen at a KBBQ restaurant. It was the size of my arm. Super cool to try that. Fast and knowledgable service. Great ambiance - I loved their outdoor patio, great lighting and vibes. Easy $3 valet out front.
This is seriously one of our fav ayce kbbq spots! We love coming here for the quality meats (like their wagyu beef belly and giant beef rib) and the great service. Their happy hour is mon-thurs from 5pm to 7pm where you can get BOGO soju! They even have a weekend ayce lunch special at $27.99. This spot is perfect for large groups with their large outdoor patio too!
Great food, great vibes, and great service. For it to be all you can eat, the quality of the meat was very good! Our food was brought out quickly and efficiently. My friend and I were waited by 2 servers (a man and a woman) throughout our dining experience, which made us feel very catered too! I asked so many questions about the menu and they had no problem kindly answering all of them, all while making recommendations of their own! I highly recommend to pull up with your friends and family, you won't be disappointed! The prices are phenomenal for the experience you get and I will definitely be back :) PS. We legit ordered 3 rounds of the creamy cheese corn, IT IS A MUST TRY!!!!!!! :)
First time here and this place was definitely a vibe. I ordered the pork belly spicy, spicy chicken and spicy ramen noodles, Korean corn dog, Korean sweet potato wedges, beef brisket and everything was so good and so filling. The customer service was excellent. I really enjoyed myself
영어로 자연스럽게 이렇게 말하시면 좋아요 😊 > There were four of there were 4 of us, and we went at five o’clock. The quality of the meat was great, the service was excellent, and we really enjoyed the meal. We had a wonderful time and left very satisfied.
One of the best AYCE Kbbq I've tried in LA! The meats that we've tried here were incredibly fresh! I highly recommend their Ribeye Steak, Wagyu Beef Belly, and Giant Beef Rib. The Ribeye Steak was so juicy and tender. It's comparable to Kbbq spots that aren't AYCE. I love the other dishes that they offer as well, especially the dynamite scallops and honey glazed sweet potatoes. Aside from their amazing food options, they also have a lovely and spacious outdoor patio.
Ktown has so many kbbq options but their patio really makes this place unique. We got the premium ayce for $40.99 for the prime sirloin, ribeye steaks and giant beef rib. Totally worth it, my favorite sides were the kimchi fried rice and steamed egg. I just moved to socal so having the palm trees around was really awesome! The staff was also great, just overall great experience!
The restaurant looks amazing it is very fun and exciting. The service was very quick and parking is available most of the time. Starting off with the food we had a little bit of everything from beef to seafood. All marinated beefs were super juicy and delicious. The Louisiana Cajun shrimp was super flavor and spicy and is a definite hidden Jem from all the other kbbq’s. Overall this place is a great spot to come for dinner 10/10
They just launched an ayce lobster tail special with Kbbq it’s a great deal I was able to eat 3 of em I wish I can go for more but the Kbbq meats were too good. Service was quick and the meat quality and sides were great!!
Located in the heart of Korea Town in DTLA, I can always count on this place for an awesome meal. Not only do they offer a wide variety of meats for BBQ, they also have lots of dishes made from their kitchen too. This way, you can eat some hot dishes while your meat is being cooked in front of you. There are 2 options to choose from: Special AYCE $34.99 Premium AYCE $40.99 Street parking here is a bit difficult, especially on the weekends. I'd say come for early dinner before 6pm would give you better luck in finding a space nearby.
I absolutely love this restaurant! Even though it’s on the pricier side, it’s totally worth it for the seafood and high-quality food. I tried the lobster tail and Cajun shrimp, and both were amazing — a solid 10/10. 🦞🍤 This place is perfect for a surf-and-turf Korean BBQ experience. It’s all-you-can-eat, the service is great, and the food is fresh and flavorful. The seafood alone makes it worth coming back, and I definitely will!
Great Korean BBQ and Unlimited Lobster tails. We had a reservation and the place was packed. They have indoor and outdoor seating option. Outdoor would have been an extra 30 min wait. With a reservation see reservation we were seated quickly. The food quality was good and the service was great. I read reviews ahead of time, so I knew you can only order 3 meats at a time and you need to keep ordering so there isnt a big delay between ordering, cooking, and eating. This place only has an overall vent, not a vent for each grill. Anyways food was good. It's a little pricey with 18% gratuity built into ticket price. However, the one complaint that makes it difficult to come back is the lack of parking. Good luck trying to find it.
If your dad likes double dipping unlimited steamed lobster tails, grilling up rib eye, a giant beef rib, and Wagyu beef belly, all the while enjoying some Korean fusion side dishes, I've got just the spot for you. Welcome to TGI Korean Barbecue in the heart of Korea Town, Los Angeles. We started off the meal with the most popular giant beef rib cooked to a perfect medium, followed up by the marinated LA Galbi. Then hit a trifecta with the prime sirloin. Looking around the table, there was only four types of banchan. But you know what? We didn't come here for that. We came here for the unlimited steamed lobster tails. Firm, tender, and buttery, just the way dad likes it. The corn cheese beef rib soup japchae, and the steamed egg soup was perfect between meats. Another all you can eat recommendation is this tender Wagyu beef belly, not to be missed by this thick cut of ribeye. and that succulent beef bulgogi goes perfect with that cheese dip. It goes great with some grilled pineapple too. Service was fast and friendly. Overall one of the best KBBQ experiences I’ve had in ktown.
We went at around 2pm. There was no line. That’s a good thing. K-town is well known for hellish parking, we initially drove around then we realized they have customer parking for free - no valet until 4pm. You have to tandem park, but it’s free- a big plus! I came here for lobster obviously. They’ll serve it 2 at a time and take 10+ minutes to prep it each time. I was only able to get to 5th round before I gave up because I was already so full 😂😂 I was seriously expecting the restaurant to play games with the lobster ayce .. they were pretty reasonable. It is worth it. 👍👍👍 The other items on the menu were pretty high quality. A big slab of ribeye. Bulgogi was very good. Tiger prawn. Wagyu pork belly. We had scallops - it was not large pieces of scallops, but it was decent. I am satisfied overall. I came at lean hour and it was perfect.
Premium meat meets premium service… or maybe I just hit the jackpot on a slow day. Either way, this wasn’t my first KBBQ rodeo — and definitely not my first time at TGI. In fact, I’ve been here more times than I’d like to admit (no regrets). And each time? They still manage to outdo themselves. This round, we went all in with the premium menu. Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely. The quality was next-level — the prime sirloin was buttery and tender, but let’s be honest, the real showstopper was that big ol’ rib. You know the one. Pro tip: Order two slow-cooked meats (yes, that rib) and one fast one — like the wagyu belly or brisket — and let your taste buds rejoice while the grill does its magic. Oh, and whatever you do, don’t sleep on the ribeye. You’ll thank me. What truly sets TGI apart from your average AYCE KBBQ joint? The chef’s selection of cooked items. I’m talking kimchi fried rice that slaps hard and their newest obsession-worthy creation: the bulgogi quesadilla. Yes, it’s fusion. Yes, it works. Next time? I’m coming on an empty stomach and going full beast mode on those unlimited lobster tails.
Originally posted this last week, but realized it went up on my private account by mistake—took it down and re-shared here to make sure it’s on the right one! I came here to celebrate my birthday, and I honestly couldn’t have picked a better spot. The staff went above and beyond—they even decorated for the occasion, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the night feel extra special. The food was amazing—everything was super fresh, well-marinated, and high quality. My favorites were the beef tongue and beef rib. The tongue was tender and flavorful, and the beef rib was a standout since it’s not something you usually see at KBBQ spots. They also offer Korean street food and other fun extras that really elevated the meal. Service was top-notch, too. Our server was super attentive, kept our grill clean, and made sure we had everything we needed. Major bonus: they have valet parking, so you don’t have to deal with the usual Koreatown parking hassle. If you’re looking for a KBBQ place with great food, excellent service, and stress-free parking, TGI KBBQ is definitely worth checking out. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
Hi everyone, I wanted to share with you my recent dining experience at TGI Korean BBQ. I decided to take a night out and visit this venue, and let me tell you, it was definitely worth it! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by the staff. Not only was the ambiance inviting, but the service was exceptional. The staff at TGI Korean BBQ truly knows how to make their customers feel welcome and appreciated. Now, let's talk about the food. I must say, the culinary experience at TGI Korean BBQ was top-notch. The flavors were exquisite, and each dish was prepared to perfection. Whether you are a fan of Korean cuisine or trying it for the first time, TGI Korean BBQ is a must-try when you are in town. I cannot recommend this place enough, and I am already looking forward to my next visit. If you are looking for a memorable dining experience with great food and friendly staff, TGI Korean BBQ should definitely be on your list.
the kbbq that serves giant beef rib in koreatown, LA! premium ayce menu at $40.99 per person to get the giant beef rib and their “from the chef” items, it’s worth it imo! but if you are on a budget, they have weekend lunch special from 11:30AM to 4PM at $27.99 per person happy hour is monday to friday, from 5PM to 7PM they have plenty of inside seatings, as well as outside patio, which is perfect for large parties or if you want to avoid the kbbq smell on your body afterwards a spacious ideal kbbq spot in koreatown LA that’s perfect for group/family hangouts and even dates! service was quick and very helpful. they also changed our grills frequently too
Absolutely loved this place and it deserves all the hype that I've seen online! My boyfriend and I went specifically to get the giant beef rib off the premium menu ($40.99) and we were not disappointed. I'm glad we ordered that item first because it takes an incredibly long time to cook. Other stand out meats were the LA galbi, thick pork belly, and wagyu beef belly. I will say that their meat menu is a bit smaller than other KBBQs in that area, but uniquely they had a lot of options for small plates and soups. I highly recommend the steamed egg, braised beef ribs, and Cajun shrimp. The only item I didn't like was the dynamite scallop. Was a little too spicy for my taste. Banchan was also good, not great, but still very good. You can never go wrong with the spicy cucumber and glass noodles.
I highly recommend going for the $40.99 premium option. They offer a wide variety of high quality meats. The sirloin steak stood out to me as the piece itself was huge and was juicy once cooked. Their sides were delicious as well. Service was good. The server made sure to always touch base and we were always given water refills when needed.
The food was fantastic and delicious as always but I swear at the end where we had finished dining, the lady who served us asked if we would like to tip and we said no. When we said that she looked so damn offended that we didn't give her extra free money. I just hoped it doesn't happen again. I would love to come back here to enjoy the delectable meats.
Korean BBQ spot in Ktown on Olympic by Vermont. They have outdoor and indoor dining. They allow reservations. The service is pretty good. Fast, efficient, and friendly. They have two options on the menu, General and top tier. The top tier has premium meats. Only thing, your limited on the amount the group can get. It's still a lot of food. Everyone left super full and satisfied. It's a cool spot to go with a group, and affordable.
Covid 19 review: Learned of this hidden gem on a Discord group of Asians and I decided to give it a shot since I was craving kbbq. I was looking for a restaurant with outdoor dining as to have that kbbq experience that you will never be able to do home. I googled their restaurant and booked a reservation (that was powered by Yelp). Got a confirmation and went to the place at 5:15PM This place was perfect. As other reviews have mentioned, staff was friendly and we were seated and served within the 1st ten minutes of entering. They also check your temperature to make sure you're healthy. The food was good and savory. The beef brisket did not taste like other Korean bbqs. It didn't have the sweet taste that the others had. My favorite out of the bunch in their menu was the beef tongue. Give it a shot. Food and service is a 5/5. The only downside to this is parking and valet. Being COVID conscious, I decided to bite valet because parking was difficult. I used their valet service and asked if I could park my car myself so that he doesn't drive it and I'd still pay him. He declined me twice did not feel congenial. I decided heck I'll just wipe my car after dinner. That's what I did. He did seem friendlier after. Our dine in. Bottom line, perfect everything except for parking. Authentic food and amazing staff.
One of the best Korean bbq in an area full of them. Loved the experience and the meats. Incredible marinating on some of the meats and the selection was diverse and large. We sat outside and had to use the portable burners to cook our food but the quality was not too altered. My main complaint was that it was very expensive.
This was my first experience with Korean BBQ and I joined a group of seasoned friends. All the food was so delicious and it was a really fun experience. The only thing lacking was the service. The servers acted annoyed with us when we would ask for more items. Even for water. If the service was more friendly and attentive, I would have given 5 stars.
Tried this place for the first time and t was alittle confusing at first but the server help out and made it all possible! For the money this place is so worth it, we were able to eat a good amount of beef and it wasnt that bad, good quality and tasty. The parking is terrible so you need tj find street parking which we live in LA so good luck but if yiu get lucky like us there are a few spots right in front which we got one and it made it alot easier to reynthis spot out. Good service good food try it out.
Came here for the unlimited kbbq meat and lobster. Expect long waits even on a regular day. 3 pricing levels, priciest tier is $89 with the unlimited steamed lobster that comes with melted butter and lemon. Excellent meat quality as well. Fewer tables than other kbbq places. Not really a date place as you will be smelling like greasy grilled meat after.
The food is good. Got the Luxury menu with the unlimited lobster. The lobster is good but it was a bit salty. The more you order the saltier it gets. I like that they give you smaller portions vs big portions so you can try a little bit of every thing without wasting food. The flavors and quality was good.
An okay but not impressive KBBQ restaurant. Food - 3/5 I’ve been told that LA has the best Korean restaurants in the US, so I set my expectation really high and this did not meet my expectation, nothing special and nothing different from the KBBQ that I had before. Some of the meat are really fat so we had to get rid of them. Service 3/5 slow but the staffs were nice. Atmosphere 3/5 spacious outdoor area but unfortunately flies all over the place. It got better after we got the repellent candle. Parking - valet parking.
Visited during a quieter mid-afternoon time. Opted for the high tier menu and tried various Korean hot dishes. All-you-can-eat included soups. Annoyingly, flies were everywhere due to open doors. Swatting flies off my food wasn't fun. Staff didn't seem too concerned about it. Flies carry germs, so not the best experience. ⭐⭐⭐
--- The food here was absolutely delicious, but unfortunately the service was very disappointing. We came to celebrate our anniversary and there was no effort to make the experience feel special. The staff seemed inattentive, which really took away from what should have been a memorable evening. While the food itself was good, the overall experience left us feeling let down. Sadly, I wouldn’t return. ---
We made a reservation through Yelp and were seated about 5-10 minutes after we arrived. We came on a Sunday evening during peak dinner hour so they were busy. We were disappointed that they didn't cook the meat for you like at other KBBQ places. They give you 3 dipping sauces - salt, ponzu I think, and this spicy sauce that was akin to salsa. They had a few banchans but didn't include kimchi surprisingly. We chose the premium AYCE option which is $40.99/person. For the premium meat, they limit you to 2 orders. In terms of service, it wasn't that great. Our waitress seemed stressed, some items took a long time to come out, and a few items were forgotten. Wagyu Beef Belly & LA Galbi: Premium meats which were really good. Steam Egg: Delicious and soft. Fried Special Tofu: It's a huge triangle tofu that's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Dynamite Scallops: They give you a small creme brulee sized container with mini scallops and cheese sprinkled on top. You cook it on the grill for a bit for the cheese to melt and all that. The sauce wasn't really soaked up by the scallops. This was a premium item too which is surprising. Large Beef Short Rib Soup: This was not large at all. The soup was a bit bland at the top but near the end, it was more flavorful and good. My parents didn't like it, and I didn't get to try the meat. KFC: The korean fried chicken was okay. Sweet Potato Wedges: These were good but way too sticky. Spicy Pork Bulgogi & Beef Bulgogi: There bulgogi sauces are too sweet. Soybean Paste Soup: Pass. Spicy Rice Cake: The rice cakes were really good and soft. The fish cakes were meh. The sauce is spicy. It also came with a crunchy rice cracker on top that was interesting. Was TGI worth it? No. There are way better KBBQ restaurants out there and I regret taking my family here for my mom's birthday celebration.
Came here from a recommendation of someone I follow on TikTok, but was kinda disappointed. We came on a Thursday night and it was busier than I initially thought, so we constantly had to flag servers down to order more meat. I don't know how they operate, but the same guy who seated us took our orders and brought out the meat on the first round. The second round, another person comes. Same with the third round. It felt like we had 4 different servers who just seemed too busy to check in on us. The meat quality is good, I'm not going to lie. The food was tasty, but the disorganization of servers and the fact that they kept lowering my flame (servers had time to lower my flame THREE times‼️‼️‼️ but not check in on us) just made this experience unpleasant and makes us not want to come back. ESPECIALLY since there is so much competition for AYCE KBBQ in this area. Also, the way the menu is laid out is hella confusing. They need to make the distinction MORE CLEAR of which items are in the regular menu and the upgraded menu.
The food is alright at best not the best quality of meat, but thats pretty typical for a all you can eat restaurant. The service is pretty fast, but also pretty at the same time depending on when you go and how many people there is. The atmosphere on the otherhand is very nice it has pretty decorations around here and there the outdoor tables are a little eh, but its LA theres nothing you can really do about it. Theres not much to say about this restaurant its just a typical all you can eat nothing really special about it they do sell limited lobster so if you seafood this is the place for you.
We got to the restaurant around 5:50 PM and things started off great. We were seated fast, service was quick, and the first round of food came out in like 10-20 minutes. We ordered lobster and some meat dishes, and honestly, that stuff was really good. But then it all went downhill. After we'd been there about 30 minutes, we tried to order more food, but nothing happened. We ended up having to flag down a different waiter to put the order in. Even after that, it still took another 15 minutes or so for the food to show up.The brisket we got was disappointing—it was super chewy and tough, like really hard to eat. The lobster itself was tasty, but I don't think it's truly "unlimited" because the wait times between ordering more got ridiculous. The stuff we got early on was solid, but everything after that just wasn't the same quality. Overall, the experience soured pretty quick for me.
Parking was very difficult! Took about 15 min to find street parking. Valet is available though. We went on a Tuesday night so there was no wait time. Menu has lots of options to choose from. We chose the premium menu. The giant beef rib, prime sirloin and marinated galbi were so good! Good cuts of meat and were marinated well. The grilled corn cheese dish was amazing! Service was just okay. There weren’t many banchans (side dishes) so I was a bit disappointed. Would I come back? Probably not since parking was not only very difficult, but also I’ve had better Kbbq in the area that is within walking distance to dessert places.
My first time coming here, wanted to celebrate my daughter’s graduation along with my two year old son and two friends. I was searching Korean bbq place as I wanted to try new other places instead of the usual my family would go to. So I found this TGI Korean BBQ in Los Angeles. I saw few good reviews and I figured maybe I should try this one out. I went ahead and made reservations for supposedly 4 people,(two of my friends which one didn’t make it to join us, myself, my daughter, and my son) I didn’t include my little one in the reservation because from what I know usually only certain age has charge. Fast forward, the server name Moon gave us table, another server came, I did not get his name was, which seems he’s a new employee because we asked him a few questions and the answer was “let me ask or I’m not sure”. He started asking us which menu we would like and we picked the $37.99. He then asked how old my son is so I answered he’s two. I guess he was told to ask my son’s age and he was replying to them saying two. Then Moon came, he asked me if my son will be eating as well and I said yes, I’ll be feeding him from my plate. According to him 2 year old also gets charge but half price. I thought that was odd, so I asked Moon again you charge a two year old kid from the menu? He was confident with the answer so I said ok that’s fine,( I did not bother asking anymore I thought that’s the policy the restaurant has)… I wasn’t really sure which server was assigned to our table if that guy Moon, the new employee, or Anthony. Although on the receipt our server name is Moon. But Anthony was mostly the one that stops at our table and asks if we want to order more meat, and/or replace the grill. Kudos to Anthony by the way!! Anyway, we were told that they have a two hour limit for dine in, and we have another half an hour left to order which it was fine, we were not going to order more meat anyways, then there goes Moon telling us no more ordering meat, and I answered him with “ we’re not ordering anymore meat, we had the fire off already”. Mind you, we didn’t even go crazy ordering meat. So bill was handed to our table and sure enough my two year old son was also charge half price. Gratuity was also added in the bill even though it was technically only three of us ate and my son barely ate the food. Now I have to ask, why was I told that a 2 year old kid gets charge half price but what IT SAYS ON THE MENU is different? *4-7 year old is half price according to your menu. Can anyone explain this? Food was good, but I will not be coming here again. Definitely first and last time to come to this place.
Food was fairly good, atmosphere was very loud but decent enough. But BUYER BEWARE they add a mandatory gratuity at the end, not informing you about it until after you're done eating. For a four person table, they added a mandatory 40 dollars to our bill. I choose my gratuity. Not you guys. The service was slow and they often forgot things that we ordered, and was not worth the tacked on, mandatory addition to our bill. We will not be back.
The parking situation was pretty terrible to start off. We were a party of 4 and were seated pretty quick. My family picked the highest option there was available 85 per person selection. The service was not good at all. We saw our waiter more at the end when they were trying to kick us out for being there two hours. Keep in mind we were there so long because our waiter hardly came to our table to service us. The flame was very low so any good chunky meats you get would take forever to cook. They also take a while to change your grill as well because again the waiter only came when we called for them. Even when they did come they never asked if we wanted more water. I always had to ask for more water when the whole jug was completely empty. Also I had to ask if they could pick up the meat plates that were taking the majority of space of the table. It was only at the end when they wanted us to leave that we got our table cleared up of any plates rather quickly. Some of their meat selection has extremely small portions. So imagine waiting for a long time to finally get the meat you want just for it to be the size if your hand, split it into 4 and then wait another 15 mintues for someone to take your order and then wait even more to get the food to come to your table. However Most of the food we ate was good such as the lobster. Although I probably would not go back. They also charge a high automatic tipping fee on your bill. I guess they know people wouldnt want to tip them well for bad service so they jack up the price. We paid about 450 total, youd expect better service 🤷♂️
Restaurant doors were wide open while it was really windy outside. Food was okay, not the best but also not the worst. It was just standard. Service lacked very heavily despite seeing multiple servers walking by. You’re only allowed to order 3 meats at a time which kind of sucks but I understand why. Unlimited lobster tails, however premium meats like the prime sirloin you’re only limited to 1 order per 2 person at the table (got 3 orders since we had 5 people). Had to flag down our server to order more meats/alcohol.
Disappointed Experience at TGI Korean BBQ in K-Town - I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. I ordered the Luxury Combo, which included unlimited lobster, but the food quality didn’t live up to the price—$70 per person. Most of the dishes, including the lobster and all the meats, were extremely salty, to the point where it was hard to enjoy anything. The meat quality was also noticeably lower compared to other Korean BBQ spots in the area. For a place that markets itself as a premium option, the flavors and quality just didn’t deliver. To top it off, the valet situation was frustrating. I paid $4 plus tax, but was only given $3 back in change—just another small detail that reflects a lack of care. Overall, I won’t be returning. There are far better options in K-Town for both taste and value.
This place had really good reviews so I assumed coming here would be great. I just landed from my flight and got to this place around 10:30pm. This place closes at midnight btw. We walked in and the man at the door maybe the owner told us that if we eat here we would have to leave at 11:45pm and last call is 11:15. I didn't mind the last call orders but telling us to leave at 11:45 was uncalled for. I even asked him why we had to leave at that time if they close at 12 and he just said to leave at 1145 and for us to decide if we want to eat here or not. We got sat immediately down and waited about 15 mins for our meats. At this time it's already 11pm. The food tastes good but their customer service sucks. The server was great tho. Next time I'll just go else where.
I am korean. I have been to many ayce places in k town. This is one of the worst restaurant I ate. Don't recommended to new comers. Sorry.
I had a reservation there this evening, but I couldn't go, as your valet service did not accept any form of payment besides cash. REALLY!!??? This review therefore is not about the food or the service. What valet service these days in the 21st century does not accept credit card or app payments? NONE, besides yours. How is that possible? Why would you even want to work with a valet service like that? On top of that, the valet person was really rude. I mean, think about it!! Who the hell carries cash these days? Most people don't even carry credit cards anymore. We all use contactless payments. You obviously don't need more business, so keep on doing what you're doing, but I surely won't be able to go there, until you decide to use a proper valet company.
When it was time to pay our bill, we used two cards that both went through and the female asked us to open our online account to see if we were charged twice because they were having problems with there machines. They were not having problems with the machine. We watched at least 10 transactions being done where no one had an issue. We felt we were racially profiled. We were humiliated, embarrassed, discriminated and to add to the humiliation we were the only African American's in the restaurant. We valet our car so it wasn't like we were going to run, plus they had our information from our reservation. They kept trying to say they were having problems with the machine. My cousin just called it out to them, that they knew exactly what they were doing! Period! We never return nor refer anyone to the establishment. The unfortunate part is we were so excited to visit the restaurant after seeing the advertisement on Facebook. We will also be doing a Yelp survey!!!
Went to TGI Korean BBQ today with my friend to celebrate his birthday and ordered the Premium All You Can Eat ($69) which includes lobster. We were served our first two lobster orders, but on our third request, we were told they were out. We understood and accepted that. However, what disappointed us was seeing lobster being served to other tables after we were told it was unavailable — including to the table next to us 30 minutes later. It felt very unfair and discriminatory. On top of that, the service was poor. Our table was never cleared unless we asked, and it was hard to get the staff’s attention. This experience left a bad taste, especially on what should’ve been a special occasion. I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially if you expect fairness or quality service.
They don't have a clue how to take care of the costumers, not pleasant, they Push and Rush you to eat faster so they can have the table for others !! My Son and my Granddaughter are actually ask to live the restaurant, because it's they policy 2 hours, Hello we're not there for 2 hours... Spoke with man yesterday Tim or what ever his name is, asked to speak with owner and complying the server that asked Us to leave, she never told us her name ,jung girl kinda of small build. Very Rood. We will probably not come to your place any more.
I would not recommend this place at all. Please avoid this spot, save your money and go to other one. The dinner is $35 per person, and it doesn’t worth it, super limited menu, appetizers are purely trash. The meat were not on point of the quality. This is probably the worst Korean bbq I ever been to. The vibe was okay, it was like a patio seating, so no complain on the atmosphere. Not even mentioning the service, it was terrible. I sat down and I was starving and start ordering two type of meat, and the Korean lady started to tell me to stop. WTH bruh, this is a All you can eat restaurant, how can you tell me to stop ordering with just two items on the menu. To all my foodie friends in LA, please please please avoid this place
Yeah don’t come here if you want to be DISCRIMINATED. I just had the WORST experience eating here. First of all I was trying to get new chopsticks and the Server who attended us CLEARLY saw me and walked past me. He was treating everyone else DIFFERENTLY and when it came to our table he had a PROBLEM? We asked him 2 times to change the grill and completely ignored us. The smoke was too strong that it burned my eyes. He made me and my friends feel uncomfortable because he was making FACES at us SPECIFICALLY! never going back!
Meat was not great. The chef’s kitchen items were just ok and banchan was lacking. Service was pretty standard. I would not return. Better spots in Ktown.
We went tonight for a dinner all you can eat when we’re ready for check our bill is $83 then my husband gave a $100 cash suddenly a blond lady with a bangs came to us asking a question if we want our $17 dollars change for me it’s un proffesional and unpropriate to ask that question just give the change and the customer will decide how much they will give you tip. I just said no not to embarrass her so end up giving her $17 dollars when we came out from the restaurant i just figure it out i shouldn’t give her a tip for asking that question we actually went there couple of times but now never again we will not going back…
The first order of meat was excellent. Very tasty and tender. The second order was very bad. We ordered the same cuts of meat, and we couldn't even chew it. And the third order was horrible. It felt like the sole of a rubber shoe. Don't go there. I don't recommend it at all.
We were in Korean town and looking for a place to eat. It’s so hard to find a parking place, they had valet parking only $3.00. So we chose here. We waited over 1 hour then got a seat. I have to be honest, meat is good quality, but the service is so terrible. Firstly, we just got a table even no time to check the menu yet, a male waiter came to ask what we wanted to order without smile. we were looking at the menu, my boy asked a bowl of rice first, the poor baby was so hungry already. He put a face on my boy and left. After few minutes, he put a bowl of rice on the table so rude without any Patience! The worsted thing was, we just ordered, immediately another waiter sent 3 plates meat on our table, I was like, wow, they served so fast! We started to grill, the first waiter came to our table and blamed us: this is not your order, don’t you know? ! During the whole eating, the serving speed was really fast, it made me feel like they have no real sense of service. It looks like they’re just rushing to bring out the food, making you feel pressured to eat quickly and leave. They really have good business, but they might forget one important fact: the better your business gets, the better your service should be. Super uncomfortable experience. Won’t back again.
