This was a family owned way back when in the day's 70's-80's, my daughter told me that Bryan's had a fire. That's why it had changed a little. It was really good.

Not your ordinary steak house. You walk in order get your salad from the salad bar and wait for your steak to arrive at your table. We were in and out in about 35 minutes. Steak was fantastic cooked to perfection. Salad bar has a variety of choices. Try them out.

Badass steaks!! Badass chicken fried steaks and some good portions at a great price. Been a mainstay here in Lubbock for a long long time. Just say Im going to the Big cow and they'll know.

We had the fried fish launch special with salad bar. The price was reasonable. The salad bar was really good. We absolutely loved it. It had various options for vegetarians. The fish was okay a bit bland. Good baked potato. Will go there again for the salad bar.

It was a pleasant surprise to find that places like Bryan's still exist. This place is doing a booming business in offering up a good steak dinner with all the fixings for between $10 and $15. It is one of the few places that I have visited recently that is well staffed , offers friendly service and allows you to enjoy a good meal in less than 1/2 hour from the time you enter to when you leave being fully satiated. Bryan's also offers several chicken and seafood options if steak is not your thing. Bryan's only accepts cash but this is probably a major reason why they can keep their prices so reasonable. The only thing that I found missing was an obvious tip jar for rewarding the service staff. During my visit I was well attended to by several different service staff and did not see a way to reward them except by saying thank you at the time of their service.

Found this place randomly on our way back to Denver. Great steak. We shared the sirloin for 2, and my daughter had the steak fries. The meal came with a baked potato and salad bar! It was all delicious and VERY reasonably priced!! Will be back when driving through again! Update: STILL LOVE THIS PLACE!! I still stop in everytime I am in Lubbock, and the food and service continues to be awesome! Actually just left 10/9/25..... see you in a few weeks!! Yummy!!

One of our favorite places to eat. NOTE: If you bring your kids, be a real parent and do not let your rug rats run around and knock plates of food off other people's tables. A GREAT value! So you have to order at the counter. No biggie. My Ribeye was huge, cooked perfectly to my specs (medium rare), and delicious. Very fresh, loaded salad bar, and from there I loaded my baked potato with cheese and bacon bits. The very nice young ladies made sure my beverage stayed full. My entire meal including my Coke Zero came to only $23.00. I WILL be back.

I can not express enough how much my family and I LOVE this place! We have never had a bad experience and have been visiting for years. It is by far our most favorite restaurant to go to for any occasion. The steaks are tender and juicy. The best we ahead ever had, and at a fraction of the price of other steak houses. Definitely try it, but be warned, you will fast become addicted.

Prices went up since they reopened. Looks nice since they remodeled but expect longer lines. They did put a menu on the wall where you wait in line so you can decide what you want before you get up there and make ordering a little faster. They really should do something about the parking. There is not nearly enough parking. A lot of people were getting towed for parking in nearby lots. The food was good but not quite as good as I remember considering they raised the prices. The salad bar did not seem to have as many options. It was almost $10 for a kids meal with three small chicken nuggets.

Bryan's Steaks is one of the best hidden gems in Lubbock Texas! Not only was the food good, the service is great, and the prices are fantastic! The inside of this place looks like it probably did when it opened. But that adds the scene of this entire place! Don't let that be a deterrent. The price was amazing! I had the Golden Fried Fish lunch special that is $8.49. That does not include a drink. But it does come with an all-you-can-eat salad buffet option! The 'salad bar' has everything from salad, cold vegetables, fried okra, green beans, corn, hush puppy sticks, and various cold salads. The deep fried fish was also very good. For the price, this was great food! If you are going for lunch, plan on a wait. I think we waited for probably 15-20 minutes but it was definitely worth it. Also, plan on circling the parking lot several time during lunch to find a spot. Their parking lot cannot handle the traffic that their restaurant brings in. But there is a reason why so many people want to come here to eat! The food is great, prices are fantastic, and the service is equally as good. I would recommend eating here and I will be back!

She gladly got it for me. I couldn't eat the chicken fried steak. It wasn't what I expected. I think it should be a little crispy and it wasn't and didn't taste right to me. The ice cream machine is now right next to the exit. That was hinting to me to take it on your way out, which is what I did. I got that out of my system for a while. I used to eat there frequently before the remodeling. I was surprised that they don't give the buttery Texas toast anymore. I saw that one little roll and thought oh well. Yes it is a little different than before the remodeling.

Been going for years and my main complaint has always been the parking. As busy as they are and the location they have I don’t see a good solution. That being said I have to ding them for the size of the chicken fried steak. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying I’d rather pay more for a bigger steak. Still my favorite steakhouse in town by far.

Steaks are reasonably priced, well seasoned, and well cooked. The meat is always tender, juicy, and freshly fired. The only down side to this restaurant is the parking. There are limited spots available and it can be tricky when there are multiple large trucks in a row. Overall, highly recommend this place as it far exceeds Texas Roadhouse for quality, price, and experience.

I've been multiple times, and evetime I would rate it differently, sometimes it's really good and sometimes it's terrible. But the price is amazing. The issues I've seen is a gross or dirty salad bar, but usually it's good. And raw steak, sometimes they get it cooked perfectly and others its completely raw.

We used to eat here all of the time when I was growing up. My kiddos loved the salad bar. My son got the chopped steak and loved it. My husband and I got a steak. They were good. The only complaint I have is that it would have been nice to get my steak when my family did. That way we could share the meal together. We will be back again.

I ordered the rancher steak and my uncle ordered the same but we ordered one with medium rare and one medium nether of our orders was correct no pink at all and the meat was small than it used to be. And one of my favorite side got changed to the hush puppies were not the same from stick hush puppies to round which is kinda disappointing that was one of the things that was nostalgia but I will say that the ice-cream stayed the same

Imagine my horror after waiting in line 45 minutes to hear that they're no longer serviced and were replaced by hush puppies. Not usually a bad substitute but they were dry and over cooked 😭😭 sad day. Everything else was on par. Housekeeping was not at it's best but customer service was! Never ran out of drinks. Everyone was very attentive & salad bar was well stocked. It was a great choice for dinner!

My daughter requested medium rare, it was served well done twice before they got it right. Salad bar was empty, no salad and several other items as well. I understand they are busy, people love going to Bryan's, I love Bryan's, but I was surprised to see their salad bar empty. Lastly, I spoke with 2 of the busers, both dropped their table "cleaning" towels on the floor but continued wiping down tables with those towels.

Salad bar was good. Hot sides were excellent. Steak was not good. It had no flavor and the texture was like they boiled it then added grill marks.

It's February and already the wait line and dining area are too warm. No fans are running but that's probably a good thing as seen by the extreme buildup seen on the fans and blades. The steak was okay for a steakhouse. The salad bar however looks like the hogs had just been slopped. I figured the steaks would be okay, but I cam here to get a good steak and enjoy the salad bar. The only thing I ate was the steak. Definitely not worth coming back.

Came during lunch hour to eat and was disappointed. I ordered my sirloin steak medium rare and received it medium well, not to mention that it was cool in the center even though it was "just" cooked medium well (Can you guess what that tells you about the way they prepare their food?). Even the French fries weren't fried properly; they were also still cool inside with some undercooked areas (They're fries. How do you mess that up?). When we placed our order I wasnt asked for here or to go but when our food came out it was in to go boxes. When we said we wanted our food for here they took the boxes away and we waited about 20 mins before realizing the boxes were just sitting up under a heat lamp. When we said something the one of the cooks gave attitude and stated the ticket said to go. When we finally got our meal the meat was so gross, one of the worst steaks ive ever had. The meat tasted like it was cooked in a oven then lightly seared on a grill so mushy and the flavor was so bland.

I went with 4 friends and none of us could eat the steak we ordered. I could not finish a second bite. I was excited to try it considering the notoriety of this place, but I will absolutely never return again. Ever.

Not only was I highly disappointed when my parents brought me home this instead of tacos but I was also disappointed that the sirloin steak they got me had the texture as if they ground up hamburger meat and made it look like a steak. On top of that it was cooked well… this is Texas not California. The salad was just pre bought shredded lettuce. The hush puppies were also pre frozen. The baked potato was great and would of been better with more butter and the fixings. My parents dined in and said the service absolutely sucked. First and last time eating here, didn’t even want to in the first place.😂

I’m 70 and that was the worst steak I’ve ever had in my life as a matter fact I don’t even think it was a real steak.. I ordered the kc strip I think it was pressed meat took two bites. Glad I had a baked potato to eat, and the potato was good.

My family and I have been loyal customers for over 27 years.I haven’t been to the restaurant because of bad rumors but I have to decide by myself.We came in at 8:15 and there were 3 tables.The salad bar was picked over and there were associates around the bar talking and laughing.It took awhile for our order even though the place was empty.The food was less than desirable.There was an associate that came to our table 3 times to ask if we wanted a carry out box,this was as soon as we received our food!The restaurant had customers coming in at 8:30 and I asked for a manager.The son in law of the owner grinned after I spoke to him about the girls rushing us out.I guess “customer service “,is not a thing anymore!I told him we will never be back and he laughed! Thanks for many years of giving you my business!

It has been a year since the first time I came to this place and I STILL remember just how bad it was. I came one and never came back. I hate to leave a bad review but oh my lord this is genuinely the grossed steak in the world. I am a meat connoisseur!! I loveeee steak but even this one I couldn’t finish and was straight up disgusted by. The steak was definitely boiled as it was grey and did not look cooked besides maybe tossing on the grill to get the marks and that’s it. The taste is awful. There is no seasoning what so ever so it’s completely bland and just taste like old gross meat that’s been sitting out and rotting and even smelt bad too. I genuinly don’t even know if that steak was real meat at all. Me and my mom both order medium rare and got the same tough smelly grey steak. It was so nasty we felt bad giving it to the homeless man outside because we were worried he’d get sick but ended up giving him the food anyways as he said he still wanted it.Their little salad bar area seemed ok but I was so grossed out by the steak I didn’t bother trying any of that stuff assuming it was probably also nasty and honestly probably dirty and didn’t want to get sick off of it. Worst part too is that it ain’t even cheap, it is still very much a pricey place which is why we didnt think the food would be so bad and low quality. This place was the first restaurant me and mom ate at in Lubbock for my college orientation and I am forever traumatized with how bad it is and this taught me the valuable lesson of NEVER trusting Google reviews in Lubbock. Never ever again will I trust a plus with good ratings because of this place and ever since have been very cautious when trying new restaurants 😭 If you actually enjoy steaks and having good food, please I beg you, DO NOT COME HERE.

I came here after they reopened. I had heard so much about how great it was and when I ordered my steak I had high expectations. When I got my steak it tasted like it had been boiled and wasn't seasoned. The salad bar was lacking too as the food there wasn't up to par either. After my experience I haven't been back, that was probably the worst steak I'd ever had.

the service was really good, they asked to refill my drinks right away all the time, very friendly. sadly i cannot say the same for the steak. i ordered it medium rare, and it came out gray and mushy! it was not a good steak, and not worth the 18$. salad bar was ok though .

Absolutely the worst steak I've ever had in my life. A very weird flavor while being bland. It had a weird grey color and seemed like it was cooked in a boiling pot of water then quickly seared on a grill. On a side note probably the best corn I've ever had. Ended up leaving the steak on the table and going across the street and getting McDonald's though. It was more grey looking in person. Great atmosphere though.

Man oh man used to love this place, first time being back since the reopen and was really disappointed, soggy salad bar, asked for medium steak, but came out well done also had a weird flavor, then wanted to end off w a lil ice cream cone but cones were hard as a rock, won't return unfortunately
