This place is always busy! The service is fast & friendly. The food is hot & correct. We eat here often. Plus there drinks are "almost" as good as sonic.
Best bean burritos! The red sauce makes it the best. Little blonde worker who brought out the food, was really sweet and nice! Seemed to like her job.
Very friendly and so polite, called me by name. Food was hot and delicious! My order was correct which was awesome very very nice!!! I will go there again !!!!
Love the lady at the window. She has been there a longtime. She interacts with you on a personal level.lighthearted and efficient. She is a great asset to this store.
My whole family loves Taco Villa. This particular location is cute, quick, friendly, had a drive-through and serves beer and margaritas from 4-7pm.
This is my absolute favorite go to when I visit Lubbock. I am saddened they are not a food chain in other parts of the US. They just remodeled most of their restaurants and added alcohol. I do not drink but my friends who do enjoy their margaritas. The atmosphere is much nicer now
love the franchise updates. The addition of beer and margaritas is great. I am still undecided on whether the cheese for the Ques o sauce is tolerable. rest of the menu is good. LOVE Burrito Mondays.
The Villa on 82nd and Indiana is the best in Lubbock. Friendliest staff and best service.
Went through the drive thru and went home. Lady (love her glitter eye shadow!) at the window was yawning (with her mask on) and I teased her. She laughed. Then when she want to give my card back to me, she held a little tighter, teasing me back. It takes so little time to connect just a little bit with a stranger and left me with a smile and a laugh as I drove away. They need to keep her on the window, for sure! Oh, and the order was right and good.
I live in a part of the state that doesn't have a Taco Villa so when in Lubbock I always stop by and pick up a bunch of combo burritos and ask if they will wrap them in foil instead for the trip. My entire family prefers Taco Villa over all other fast food mexican places. So for you folks who have not had the pleasure, next time you're in Lubbock stop in and see for yourself...most people walk away a fan.
I don't know why I love this place. The Taco burgers are my go to! Inside is clean and up dated. Staff was okay. Not rude but not overly friendly either.
Our food was fantastic! Left me wishing I had gotten 2 tacos instead of one, haahaa! Our service at the drive thru window was great also. She was super friendly, happy to help all with almost no wait time!!
OMG! My favorite place to eat since high school. I was so mad when I returned to visit my father and it was gone. Turns out they moved the location about 2 blocks away to make room for a CVS. O one told me. I had to settle for Taco Bell. It was a sad day for me. But my dad laughed and said it was just moved so the rest of the 4 days I was there I overindulged. Love the salsa bar, the tea, the food is great and they serve beer now. You have got to go!
I know exactly what I'm getting when I decide on either one of the "Taco what have ya"s. Having said that, I LOVE THIS VILLA!! I WISH all fast food joints had the service, cleanliness and phenom flavor THIS Taco Villa offers its patrons! If your thinking what should I choose - THIS VILLA IS SO CHOICE!
Always friendly here. Food always good and restaurant clean. The staff should not mop the floors where people are sitting or are about to set. Very unsafe as quite a bit of water was left on the floors. To many people were worried about falling including me as I am handicapped. We love our Taco Villa though.
I look forward to visiting this place every time I'm in Lubbock. It's so much better than Taco Bell. Definitely need a Taco Villa in the Houston area. It would be great to see some online coupons.
Someone give Robin a raise. She single handedly made me a loyal customer. I haven't been to taco villa in years. She was very patient with me. I left my card at home and only had apple pay. The system didn't want to take it and she paid for my order 😭😭😭 I even offered to cash app and she told me not to worry about it. I will be back. Also everyone is very happy even when the line is so long.
We went to taco villa on Indiana. They forgot our cheese fries. However when I called the store the manager Timothy went above and beyond to fix it. He dearly apologized. We was willing to fix the issue and throw in a free dessert. No restaurant is perfect. Order accuracy is hard to get every time. However Timothy owned it and fixed the issue. That is why I gave 5 stars.
I absolutely love taco villa. Not only does it have yummy food but the staff at this location has hearts of gold. My card was giving me problems and out of the kindness of their hearts the manager paid for my order. I didn't get her name but thank you for being so sweet and kind. I was having a terrible day and just this little bit of kindness truly warmed my heart. I will be paying it forward.
Taco Villa on Indiana in Lubbock, Tx..Excellent customer service, food on point!, Clean atmosphere!..Young Hispanic manager, don't know his name was very attentive w/ his customers, Greeted them, checked how the food was and then thanked us on the way out!, Top notch customer service, wish more restraunts still cared about custmer service!, Thank u Taco Villa, left on a full belly at a lower cost than most and a happy heart!
This is our families favorite location!! Staff is always friendly and helpful. Food is fantastic! Manager Alexa is a true asset to their business! Keep up the good work - keep bringing in New items to stay a step above the competition!
I love the taco salad, it rivals any restaurant in town. For a little extra cost, I get exactly what I want, I ask for double meat, double guacamole and add sour cream! (Greatful it doesn't have corn on it anymore 😁) For fast courteous service, plenty of salsa, pico, and cilanto and good, inexpensive food, I love it.
Great food as usual, I was actually going to give them 4 stars because their staff, while they were polite, just didn't seem happy or attentive. However, one of the employees offered to help me carry out all the food I had ordered (3 bags of food plus a drink carrier). She put it at 5 stars. Good job!
Great food . Israel the manager is excellent , we had an issue and he promptly fixed it . As long as Israel is manager there I will be a customer there. I use to go to the Taco Villa on 50th by Utica, but I boycotted that place. Will they ever get their ice machine fixed . Israel needs to help that location before they lose more business.
Timothy and his crew went above and beyond to provide amazing customer service and great food, at a cost effective price! This will be our regular Taco Villa from now on. Also, now my son wants to work for Timothy at his location. Thanks again Timothy!
Of all the Taco Villas in town, this one is the model of perfection. Clean clean clean! Orders are rarely if ever wrong. The manager greeted us and took our order. He even did a final check up on us. We love coming to this one in particular.
Staff is super sweet! Make you feel like family.
I have gone to this Taco Villa almost every morning for a drink and sometimes food, for the last twenty years. The lady that works the window is amazing. She is a hard worker and so kind.
I love this Taco Villa. The food is better than the other locations and the workers are the best! It’s so clean and the service is so fast and good.
Love the new look and menu items. The service was fast friendly. Food tasted great, too!
Excellent customer service from Aaron Ash. I know he’s new to the taco villa family but he’s catching on fast! He was professional and personable. Doesn’t try to “push it” you out of the store. Thanks!
This is the best Taco Villa to go to! Never had any issues here.
The team here at TV have always been stellar. Today, Jasmine even made me chuckle with a joke for the season. Oh yeah, and the food was delicious as always. (Combo burritos are the way to go!)
Keelon and Cody were so nice and very professional. Great people.
All the staff were surprisingly friendly and overtly supportive of one another! It's nice to eat someplace where everyone seems genuinely happy to be there and serve you. Great food with good variety, too!
Within our group we had chicken tacos, burritos, and taco salads. Everyone was pleased with their meals. The bean burritos are fairly large but they didn't have a ton of flavor. The chicken crunchy tacos were really good and the beef taco salad was really good. Out of the three I would recommend the beef taco salad. It comes with lettuce, beef, beans, guacamole, corn, tomatoes, cheese, all on a crispy delicious taco bowl. They also have a taco/burrito combo pack of ten in any combination of the two. I would recommend eating here.
Food was definitely good Taco Villa food. Even though they were closing in 30 minutes, they still gave great service.
One of the better ones in town not as good as they were before being bought out but at least this one make a burrito you can eat on the go
The food is always good at Taco Villa, but sometimes the service could be a little better. It was a little busy when we were there, and the food took a little bit to come out. Expected. Rather than walking around the lobby looking for your number and mentioning your name in the area, they simply yelled your name from the front of the restaurant hoping you'd stand up. A little horseplay from the staff.
Short lines and fast food at a reasonable price. The only issue was the speed of the service at the window but overall, a good experience. This is my wife's favorite place to pickup a taco salad.
Overall good experience. Both my friend and I ordered food a little different than it was on the menu like no lettuce or no tomatoes and they went ahead and put those on there but that's minor details. So that was the worst thing that happened. The staff was great, the food was good, and it was clean.
I'm sad they took away the 3 Taco meal. A la carte, the tacos cost way more with a drink now. Two #1s (2 bean/cheese burritos and a med drink) and 2 ckn/rice extreme burritos, with two crispy beef tacos was almost $40. It is still delicious but it's getting expensive.
Not the best experience here.. kind of rude .. felt as if I was inconvenience to them by going thru drive thru.. didn't seem like they wanted any buismess at the time . Food was sub par and seemed old .. lost my appetite quickly due t food old tasting and rude people in drive thru
I like the new dining room layout. It is easy to navigate and now has a dedicated salsa bar. The service was fast and accurate. This is a place that we will be returning to on a regular. I really wish that they would bring back their family special, that is what we had ordered every time we vidited. There is also plenty of free parking around the building.
Better than last time, but only had combo nachos and a taco burger. Satisfactory
Did you know Taco Villa in Lubbock is owned locally and not by the corporate office in Fort Worth? I was curious about their Urban Cantina stores and was very impressed with the lengths to which this location has been decorated inside. The attention to detail in the decor was matched by the kindness of the management, with a truly friendly pair of gentlemen who entertained my curiosity with their own pride and longevity in the organization. One manager carried or did to their quaint patio while my wife and I carried our Coronas. Definitely better than the Taco Villa I grew up with! The food is good but not good enough for some discriminating tastes.
Girl at the drive through was rude. Poked order out the window without asking if we needed salsa or hot sauce. We started to ask for what we needed and just she snapped and said it's all ready in there and she had no clue what we needed. Shut the window on us. No thank you and come back or anything.
Great service! Drive thru is very quick. I got a steak zesty Fresca bowl and it's was absolutely delicious and very fresh. New fave! My only complaint is that it's listed as coming with chips and guac, and mine unfortunately didnt have that. But still so so good and filling as it came. Edit: What was a 5 star review 2 years ago is coming down to a 3 because I had a ZERO star experience today. So disappointing because I have had previously great experiences at this location. Today, everything was COLD. Cold, stale fries. Cold beans on the burritos. Soggy chalupa. And the bag was packed so tight that my entire order was squished and spewing out of the wrappers. I literally had to rip the bag to pull any single item out of it. By far the grossest Taco Villa I've ever had. Won't be back.
Customer service is mediocre at best. The presentation of food lacks for sure. I spend more time trying to keep my food put together then I do eating it. The paper the food is wrapped in is always soaked with slop and the amount of food vs the cost is terrible.
The tortillas taste old, and veggies not fresh. It's my favorite place to go in and eat. I usually go to the one on quaker, I plan on going back to my reg spot!
$12 for two combo burritos due to adding ‘extra’ green sauce. I have to ask for extra green sauce because when I order it as a replacement I can’t taste it, or even see it on the burritos. Guess what? Even with ‘extra’ green sauce, still can’t taste a difference from a standard combo burrito. Oh, and both burritos fell apart in the paper so I’d have been better off eating them with a spoon or fork, in a bowl… Take some cues from Midland/Odessa locations (of all places!), faster service and better quality food, without the ‘extra’ cost
I like Taco Villa. Cannot complain about the food. Location seemed to be clean and the person who took my order was friendly and polite. What I'm here for is to say HaaaaaaHaaaaaaa to the female shift leader or whoever she was from last Sunday yelling "We Dem Boys and "Let's Goooooooo" last Sunday at the start of the Cowboy's game when I was dining in after the Lunch rush. Ha Ha because "Dem Boys" LOST!!! I found it not only annoying, but very unprofessional. As a team leader, she should know better and do better. Other than that loud mouth, my visit was otherwise as usual. Good food and friendly staff.
Are you kidding me with these prices for the product? Save yourself time and money and go to Taco Bell. Seriously, same quality food (minus limes and avocados) and cheaper price. If you want street tacos, go to any of the other places in town and you'll pay less or the same amount for and get better food. (I.e. torchys, fuzzys, Texas Taco company, etc) But, if you'd rather wait in a Starbucks style line and pay $16 for 2 Taco Bell worthy street tacos, get after it.
The food is fine BUT it never fails... they never get all of my order to me and I always have to go back and pick up something. Very frustrating. Orders need to be checked more carefully....
I was told my order would be 10 or 11 something only to get to the window and they had to retake my order for whatever reason. She was apparently not paying attention to what I was saying as it took 5 tries for her to Understand a #1 with both of the burritos to be combination as well as made extreme on 1 of them Red and Green sauce add Guacamole. The drink make a LG Dr. Pepper and we need a LG Blue Sky Black Cherry drink as well Then my total was like $7.00 more and I asked why she said because I had not been charged for the Extreme on the burritos. That is the most expensive salad on a burrito I have ever seen. While the food tasted good once they finally got it correct. That was only after having to open the burritos up and dig around in them to prove their was no Guacamole, as the several people at the window stood there and argued its their I see it under that piece of lettuce. My friend had to eat a cold burrito that I had dug around in with my finger. NO ONE apologized, nor offered to make a new one for her or anything. It does not matter what location I go to they can NEVER get my burrito made correctly! A Combination burrito made extreme with both red and green sauce, add guacamole. I have worked for Taco Villa many many years ago. It really is NOT HARD to read the screen and do what it says. It is NOT HARD to take the orders correctly! It is also NOT HARD to tell the customer the correct amount for their order!!! It is the same does not matter which location, nor what time of day it is. Taco Villa yall need to step it up. Quality is slacking to say the least!!
Stopped by around 2:30 pm. Lots of folks working, but the place was dirty. The buffet area was not fresh and stocked well. Unsweetened tea empty...2 containers, but empty! I guess I’m spoiled by the Milwaukee and Slide locations. Always immaculate and staff always super friendly. Maybe this location needs to be trained by them!
Ordered 30.00 worth of food. One of the food items I ordered was the combo burrito and didn’t get it in my bag. Not the first time they forgotten to put one of my food items in the bag.
It's just ok. I wasn't a fan of the fact that they put chili in the tacos. That made it weird for me. The breakfast combo I ordered relatively cheap, less than $8, but as far as fast Mexican food joints go I guess I can't complain. Won't be visiting this chain again.
I went through the drive-thru tonight and I believe the food prepper dumped the last of the taco meat in my 5 taco order. The geese was so heavy that it leaked out if the taco wrappers and tore through the entire bottom of the brown paper bag. They were inedible.
It's rare to have a bad Taco Villa experience, but the food I got today wasn't very good. Ive always liked the chicken zesty fresco bowl. It usually has the same shredded chicken as the soft tacos, but today it had cubed pieces of chicken in it. There were literally maybe 5-6 small pieces of chicken and they were very bland, a little on the hard & chewy side like they'd been overcooked or reheated. It just didn't taste good at all, I didn't eat it & thats $6.59 down the drain. I also got a #6 combo for a friend which is 3 crispy tacos & a drink. The #6 combo was $8.59..... for 3 crispy tacos & a drink........ Seems pretty high for 3 tacos & a drink. The taco shells were stale and kind of chewy, not crispy at all. The meat didn't taste like it had any seasoning at all & the lettuce was all wilted & unappetizing. The tacos weren't good and were thrown away and not eaten either. That's another $8.59 down the drain. $15 is pretty pricey for 2 bites of a yucky fresca bowl & 1 bite of a stale crispy taco as well as wasteful. I'm really surprised at the quality because TV is usually always hot, fresh & good. Hopefully today was just an off day & they are better next time.
Employees should not be eating while working the fryer station! Tall slender young man was back there eating fries while I was waiting on my order to come out of the kitchen. Perhaps if the manager ( who was in a position making food) was not in a position would have seen this and corrected the situation. He never changed his gloves or washed his hands !
I usually have no issue with the store, but today someone decided they didn't want to listen to your order and do whatever they want. Just left the drive-thru ordered a cheese nacho with extra jalapenos and a beef nacho. Both nachos are covered in gobs of jalapenos. Now the person who eats the beef nacho cannot eat jalapenos they get April allergic reaction. So now I've got one hungry person in the family and wasted money because someone cannot take an order correctly
Third time at this location. First time came home with the order and items missing. Second time again items ordered were missing. This last time after staying away a few months the same thing, items ordered missing. Not going back here again. In fact, the next time I want a taco I will go to Dairy Queen. They seem to be competant enough to ensure orders bought are complete.
Tried this place when it opened and was not good food was cold and we usually go to other taco villas I got the nachos and to me I've had better at other taco villas cheese didn't taste good and chips tasted old. Will not be returning to this location will continue going to our main location 50th the one closer to ave Q.
Called taco villa to let them know that the beans on my Chulpa and combination burrito where cold they did offer to replace but I didn’t want to get back out it’s was 9:20 pm so I received a Apology which I guess was good enough for a one star review never again cold beans not the way to go
This taco villa can not get an order right to save their lives!!!! I have been there 3 times and all three times my order has been completely wrong! I go back I tell them it is wrong…. No apology, no friendly service, no smile no anything but rude service bad attitude and wrong orders! I only go there because I love taco villa and it is convenient to my home but from now on I will go out if my way to get better service and the right order!! I’m over it!
Taco Villa USED TO BE one our favorite places to eat! It WAS great food at great prices, but just like almost every other restaurant in Lubbock Texas, the quality and taste of the food has hit rock bottom while the prices have gone sky high! One of my favorite items to get from there was the Guadalajara which, for those of you who don't know what that is, it's basically just a chalupa, but instead of beans on the bottom, its made with guacamole which used to be some of the best guacamole in town the last couple of times I've eaten there the guacamole had no taste whatsoever, ACTUALLY, I take that back, it did have taste, it just wasn't a good taste AT ALL! The tomatoes that were used to make the pico de Gallo almost looked white and werent even red like tomatoes should be which means they either weren't ripe yet OR they were using OLD tomatoes. And another thing that I have noticed on more than one occasion is that when I go grab a bean burrito around noon or lunch time, the burritos and made nice and full but when I go to the EXACT same location around 5pm. The burritos are very skimpy!!
Ordered beef taco salad through drive thfiugh. The taco shell was burned. It was like the saiad had been setting a bit. Salad wilted. Beef and beans were cold.
Ordered two breakfast burritos with bacon and both of them had almost no bacon in it. One of the burritos was wrapped so sloppily there was beans smeared all over the bottom of the burrito. I could only find one strip of extremely thin bacon when I deconstructed the second burrito to find out why I'm not tasting any bacon in my BACON burrito. These used to be packed with protein and now it's just sad and more expensive.
I ordered like 45 dollars worth of food for my family got home the taco salad was missing the meat and missing part of my order. I called up there and talked to a manager about it. Let her know I live 25 minutes away so she said she'll take down my information and send me a gift card for 20 dollars to fix the mess up. It's been 2 weeks I haven't received it by mail. I've called twice checking on this and still nothing. I called again just now got put on hold then hung up on.
The music was VERY, VERY LOUD. We asked if they could please turn the music down. The employee said they could not, she stated that her manager would not longer allow them to turn the music down . Maybe others customers have complained too??? It is very difficult to visit with a friend with the music blaring. It saddens me to know that this Taco Villa does NOT care about the comfort and positive dining experiences of their guests! I will not be back.
Our order was all wrong. Combo burrito had nothing but meat and beans when we paid extra for sour cream and extra cheese also ordered green sauce, one bean burrito had sour cream and guacamole on it was suppose to be plain. Was not offered any sauce and forgot to ask for any because we had to ask for our drinks twice. Need to retrain weekend employees!
This is the 3 Saturday we have been to the taco villa store #96 .we did drive thru just to get told to pull around. Wait 15 minutes for the food just to get home and the order be wrong. I guess I will need to find a different place to eat
Older woman working window could not extend her arm outside to pass food. This resulted in box dropped between car and building, and half the tacos on the ground. She then said there was nothing wrong with them because they were wrapped up. She should not be working the window or around food for that matter. We decided to throw everything away and get something else to eat. I could not have my kids eat food that was laying on the ground.
Went to the drive through and waited 20 minutes for my food. No one brought me the food and no one would answer the phone. Crap service. Go somewhere else.
Horrible! Taco salad had no guacamole, barely had extra meat, the shell tasted like it was made with old cooking oil. We always give the benefit of doubt and every time we get home with our order something is missing or completely wrong but they sure don’t fail when they charge us for extra meat. Be sure to check your order before you leave the drive thru!!!!
Felt like I was eating in a restaurant that was being run by a bunch of 8 year olds. Employees were hollering and bickering with each other and then would run to tell their "friend" what was going on and why they were fighting. I know, it's hard to believe but it's true. Not to mention that the restaurant is full of customers because I went right after I got out of work so I was there at about 4:45 or 5:00 pm. It's sad because all of these employees were so wrapped up and focused on their little teenage drama, when in reality, the ONLY thing they should have been focused on was their customers and providing them with an excellent dining experience!
Really disappointed. The service was definitely not great, the food was really underwhelming and small portions. Worst part was, there corporate management was there doing a walk so you would think at least the service was going to be good. Go to the one on Milwaukee. This one is not worth it.
Ok so I don’t usually make a big deal about fast food but….. Taco Villa definitely let me down! So I ordered a number 1 ( 2 bean and cheese burritos). What I got was 2 bean and meat burritos. So my order was wrong. Then I looked at my receipt and noticed I was charged for the taco meat when I didn’t even order it to begin with!
This is the worst taco villa. Unfortunately, it’s close to my work so I thought I’d give it another try today. I ordered a combo burrito with sour cream toasted. I didn’t realize until I got back to work I just received a bean burrito with no sour cream and not toasted. (I also paid extra for this) There was hardly anything at all inside the burrito. Just a smear or beans on the tortilla. Very disappointing and not worth the money at all. The last 3 times I’ve eating at this location the food has been skimpy and wrong. Won’t be back.
I'm going to have to stop going to this location. 3 times now I've gone in, ordered soft tacos meat and cheese only, just to find out when I get home that I have hard shelled tacos with vegetables. This type of thing isn't difficult. I used to love taco villa now I can't trust that my order will be correct.
Spent almost $50 and didn't get my entire order. I've never had an issue with this location till now. Do better Taco Villa!
This location ALWAYS forget something in the bag. This is the 4th time in a row they’ve done this. It’s this location that always does it. They also suck really back at customer service. Seems like they hate their jobs.
I go through the drive through and they always seem to mess up my order. I went for quesadillas and I had to pull up and wait a while for them to make and bring them to me. My husband got out of the car to see what was going on because it took too long.
Not good and won’t be back. Cashier was very rude (not sure why she was) and I felt rushed. I come here for a laidback atmosphere and it wasn’t that at all. Employees all around me pulling out tables and on chairs while I’m trying to enjoy dinner with my family.
It doesn't matter if I go in, go through drive through or order on doordash, I cant seem to get the burritos I want. I even hear the cashier repeat my order back to me correctly but the receipt doesn't match. I'll stick with the other locations because this is an absolute frustration.
Worst taco villa I've ever been to and I've been a customer for 20 plus years. Waited 27 minutes in the drive-thru for one crispy taco and one bean burrito. When I finally got to the window I asked what took so long, she rudely let me know they had to wait on chicken. For one mine didn't have any chicken in it and two I didn't realize it took 30 minutes to cook chicken. To top it all off she then charged me 49 cents when I asked for a cup of ice after all that. I hate to be petty and usually don't leave stuff like this but that was probably the worst experience I've ever had at a food establishment and I'm over 40 years old and they probably lost a customer over it.
This place is getting worse and worse. Where's the beef. Street tacos are a joke. BTW they never put the extra sauce or cheese on when I ask for it. They don't mind charging me for it, but I be damned if they put it on the burrito. Started to get it on the side instead, well it just doesn't taste the same as when its put it inside while the food is popping hot. I used to enjoy the flavor, for the most part, but I beleive it's time to give up and move on. Rosa's does it better and get more food for the money just have to go in, well have to here to. So, I say so long to over 30 years of eating here. To the last resort they go.
