This was our 2nd time here & the chips & salsa was delicious. Had a nice bite to it & didn't taste too tomato-ey... hubby had carne Al pastor & it was very good. I had asado de Puerco & it was a very nice color of red but was not spicy at all. Rice & beans were both good! Hubby loves their horchata & we always take pan dulce & this time we also got a chips & salsa to go as well. There was no wait time & our waitresses have been very nice& helpful both times. Definitely recommend this place for good food!

I Love this place! The food is DELICIOUS! The service is Awesome. The wait time from sitting down, making order, and being served is Great. I've been there quite a few times, and every time we are served quickly, the food is fresh, and they make sure you are attended to. I order the Jalisco Burrito with Carnitas, it is very satisfying with plenty of tasty carnitas, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream. I have yet to order other items, but am looking forward to the following visits. I strongly recommend this a place to eat at or order for pick-up they have a drive thru window. 🙌🙏🥰🥰🙏🙌

I've tried the tacos, the burritos, the birria tacos, the chile rellenos, the wet burrito, the enchiladas, even the pan dulce and the horchata, out of everything I tasted they did great at everything. The tacos and the burritos are the best things to order here, whether it's carne asada or pollo. Best Mexican restaurant in Lubbock, TX, I'm from California so I know how to identify a good Mexican restaurant and this place has all the check marks. If you want them to deal with your pickiness tho then don't be lazy and DoorDash it, go buy it yourself in person, they'll do whatever you ask them.

Got Quesabirria tacos and concha bread to go. I am amazed this place has been here for years and as a student I just came across it. I will always be coming back here for Mexican food. Seasoning, vibes and restaurant are all very neat and amazing. Highly recommend!

Love Taqueria Guadalajara! Been here on multiple occasions and have always been impressed with the prompt service and authentic Mexican food. Price is extremely fair for the quantity of food and I prefer this other similar Mexican restaurants close by.

Our waitress was really nice and helpful. Came to check on us regularly. The food was excellent. Even the rice and beans were good which is sometimes hard to find good entrees and sides at the same time.

Have been craving some Birria Tacos and decided to give this place a try, and I'd hafto say these tacos definitely hit the spot. They were cooked and prepped well and the birria juice served with them really sets it off.. Well cooked, well seasoned and lots of flavor. They are currently priced @ $2 a piece which isn't bad with price inflation. I had 8 of them and each had a good consistency, I will try then again a different day and a different time to see if the taste is consistent.. Well worth the trip and price, not sure about the rest of the menu but if it's good as the Birria Tacos then I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed..

Baby for size reference! This is a burrito I think about on a weekly basis after moving away from Lubbock. It’s the Jalisco Burrito, and you have to try it with Carne Guisada. Worth $9, trust me. Everything here is good though. I would not recommend ordering to-go, takes forever compared to sitting down and getting your food out within 10min.

This place has very delicious food. I've been to a few other Mexican restaurants only because this place was closed and wasn't really impressed. The food is authentic mexican food. They have mexican pastries like marranitos, empanadas, conchas and many others. Reminds me of when we used to go to grandma's house and she used to bake us all these pastries. Next time you're in Lubbock or passing by, stop and eat here. You will not regret it. Yes, you can thank me later.

The food here is so good. The tripas tacos are great you can have them any way you like..I prefer cooked medium a little soft and a little crispy. The birria tacos are fantastic. Rice and beans are actually good. The hot sauce if you dine in is perfect. The pan dulces are delicious. I will try the Chile rellenos next time. Everything we had was good. Been there at least 5 times so far. Didn't take pictures everytime.

We visited this restaurant with a friend. I was expecting an everyday mexican restaurant and got an Authentic Mexican restaurant! Everything was delicious! I was pleasantly surprised that I was asked how I wanted tripa tacos cooked. I love crispy tripas! Many places under cook them. The beans and rice were delicious and reminiscent of my childhood. I definitely recommend you make a stop and try this gem out! The pan was awesome, too! Don't forget to get some pink, pink cake and conchas!

Went here for the first time today, it looks unassuming from the outside but it is spectacular! We had the biria tacos and Carne asada fries and I highly recommend both, the meat was wonderfully seasoned and tender and I had plenty to take Home for later. 10/10 definitely will be back.

This week, I came here to eat lunch with my fiancé and a friend looking for some good cheap Mexican food. I guess we had quite the theme as we all got something that had to do with Birria. I had the Birria plate, while the other two in my group had the Birria Tacos and Birria soup. Along with this we had Horchata and Piña to drink. Overall I thought the food was delicious. Our waitress was helpful and accommodating in getting us what we needed. I definitely do recommend to anyone that wants to maybe sit down for some good authentic mexican food while they’re in Lubbock to definitely check this place out.

The staff was friendly. I pd for my order but they did not have my drink ready. Asked for sweet tea the lady on phone offered sugar pks. 4pks for a 32oz is not .u he sugar. The taco was a mini taco shell w ground beef. No cheese or anything was offered.

This is an inexpensive casual dining restaurant. Very good food and friendly efficient staff. The parking lot is tiny and the dining room decor could use some updating. The menu has some nice choices without being overwhelming. Food is bright and inviting. The shrimp cocktail is a work of art and something you can't wait to get into. Located on east 34th street, just across the street from the classic high school. This place is a great find!

We've found our hole in the wall Mexican food restaurant! Moved here recently. We love a nice, laid back place. It's clean, and the food and service are great! I love a Mexican food breakfast and a cold beer. They don't sell it, but you can bring your own. Perfect!

Love their food BUT this last time we went the waitress wasn't as attentive as they usually are. I love their home made corn tortillas BUT the ones we got where pre-made and when they re-heated them, they where HARD. Not very content with our last visit. But other than this unfortunate visit we LOVE going to eat there. It is a very cozy place to dine out.

This place has great flavor, good tacos, and it gets full. I had the Molcajete a plate that will feed two people. You will enjoy it if you like authentic Mexican food.

The food has good flavor, although I had a carnitas torta it had very little carnitas could have definitely had more and shredded instead of diced would have kept the chunks from falling out. The bun was way over toasted so it crumbled. The female waitress didn't show any enthusiasm she didn't know the menu I asked about a birria plater she said they only come individually that's how I ended up with the torta instead, come to find out they do offer a platter. I asked about fluatas she said they were $12.00 which I had never paid usually around $8-9.00. she didn't ever come check up on us to offer a refill on drinks or see if we needed anything else. It was pretty gross that they couldn't wait to sweep the floors till customers were done eating we all know dirt and whatever is being swept up flows into the air. They close at 3 in Sundays and I felt really rushed to eat, because they lock the door and start cleaning. My husband thought the menudo was bland!

The only reason I gave a 3 star was for the food, but our waitress(a hispanic young lady) was rude, attitude, and couldn't even finish my meal, I was so upset. Poor servers make food experiences poor. If you get her as a waitress ask for another. If you don't like your job, change jobs. Andbwe were courteous, kind, smiled and tried getting at least a somewhat nice attitude from her. Didn't happen. Made my dinner and first time there expensive horrible.

Ive likes a few items on the menus. Not so much the menudo. It taste sweet to me. I believe tortillas should be homemade. If not, warmed up to a slight crisp. Need faster service.

Make sure to ask for toppings for your tacos like cilantro and onions. First time here and thought they came as the picture on menu shows. If not your only getting beef on tortillas. Chips and salsa were good though

Ordered delivery and half more than half of the food I ordered was missing and the two tacos of guisada that I ordered came scrambled all in the hot plate. Overall a horrible experience, even though the food is good, service quality and customer assistance are very much lacking.

First time I ordered through a delivery app and was very unhappy with what we received. Food was cold and the driver got my order wrong. A waste of $50 out the door.

1st our waitress was rude, the tables weren't clean and they weren't even busy. When we asked our waitress to wipe the table she rolled her eyes. The rice wasn't cooked all the way and the plates weren't even hot. I didn't like it 1yr ago and I don't like again. Sadly to say me and my family will not go there again.

Food is good but very upsetting when you pay and wait for your food and they come back and say they miss charged you. Even when there was 2 employees that were ringing you up. Then they have the excuse that both employees were new. You don't have 2 new people leading eath other. Make sure you have a properly trained person training.

I went to try this place a week ago today, and had a awful experience! & i’m not one to write a review! But very sad that i had to wait in the drive through for a hour after i placed my order and paid! A hour later a red pickup pulls in fast, and then opens the drive through window and said i’m sorry what are you waiting on and I gave him my receipt and he said I apologize we just had two girls walk out on us. I said it’s fine, do you happen to know if my order is ready? He went and looked and they hadn’t even entered it. He said they can refund me or I can wait. I told him i’d like a refund! He refunds me and gives me the receipt! I told him i am so disappointed, this was my first time to try this place and I was let down! Today I looked at my bank account and I have yet gotten refunded from last saturday! I’ve called and the line says user is busy, i’ve called them several times and no responses!! So sad !! I literally drove down the street to raider burrito and placed my order, i figured i’d have to wait awhile but no it literally took 5 minutes and were the best tacos! I just wish i could’ve had a better experience with this place! 🫤

I usually go to this establishment to get my breakfast burrito when I am in the mood for one. Yesterday I decided to try something different. I choose the steak and egg. So I found a big blonde hair on my first bite! I return the plate to my waitress. She proceeded to tell the cook. Who apparently told her to tell me it wasn’t a hair it was part of the egg. Like What!!! That’s horrible customer service!! My husband had a burrito and that was fine. But I’m more upset they tried to play it as if I was exaggerating. That’s why I’m giving them a one star for the way they handle the situation.

WORST "Mexican" food ever! Wanted something quick and simple for an early lunch so I ordered the Nachos. I think these may have been shine nachos that they prepared for someone else like the week before and didn't sell them after all so they refrigerated them to sell them to the next customer that ordered nachos, which was me because the nachos I got weren't the slightest bit warm, the chips were STALE, And the cheese didn't even look like cheese because it had been reheated so many times. WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!

Went thru drive thru and waited over half an hour for our food. We decided to order drinks while waiting and I literally had to call them on phone and ask if someone could come to window to take our drink order. I ordered the soft taco plate and received my tacos with no onion and cilantro...

Ordered biria tacos. The tortillas were not crunchy at all!! The exact opposite to be exact. They didnt even hold the meat inside everything fell apart when I tried to eat the taco.... I had to use my fork to seperate them from each other, there was so much grease on them I could have used it to fry some chicken. I'll stick to taco bell. Hell at least they can hold what's inside the taco. Sad

We were on a trip from out of state decided to stop here to eat. However when we got the the front had quite a few people up front (seat yourself) so we went towards the back and there was only one table of people now we had a bigger group so we went to sit down but NO TABLES had been wiped down. Food crusted onto seats and things were sticky. So we moved over to a couple booths (because they weren’t as bad) and asked for a wet rag to wipe things down. That’s when a RUDE waitress tells us we have to move up to the front cause the back was only open for bigger tables!! Which we were! We just had to separate because things were not clean! So we left and took our money elsewhere!

Food is good but their service is terrible! Myself and 2 friends called in an order today and were told it would be ready in 15 mins. When my friend showed up (after the 15 mins they told us) and waited in line for another 15 mins to pick it up our food, they told her the food wasn’t ready and to pull to the side. At this point we had ordered over an hour ago! When she questioned the guy at the window he told her “I don’t know what to tell you” in a rude way. When she told him it was poor customer service he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. She then waited another 10-15 minutes for them to bring our food to her. If you order from here, expect to wait a long time!

When I entered the restaurant and they sent me down my waitress noticed that my table was dirty and she didn’t even bother to wipe it down. I ordered a Caldo and it was cold as the waitresses heart. The quality of food has gone down, and the quality of services has gone down drastically within the last 10 years I used to love coming to this place changes need to be made now I always start out with a $10 tip, but the only reason why I left three dollars is because I know we are all trying to make a living.

Well let's starts off with we should of stayed with the Mexican restaurant that had a 40 min wait for a table lol we decided to try this place out since had no wait time and pretty good reviews. Before I get into detail my opinion is that this place food isnt really great. The rice had hard parts the carne Guisada needed more flavor and my nachos were not good at all. Now i start my story... Sadly we had a very bad turn of events. First we ordered our drinks and one of our guest forgot that they couldn't drink a certain thing so asked if could exchange it and was very apologetic. Our waiter made a face with attitude that I didn't see but 4 of my other guest did see. So that was the beginning. After she did that she didn't Come back for a good 10 min. When she returned her attitude had changed. She was all smiles. We started ordering food and it wasn't the waitress fault but half our stuff came to us incorrectly. My kids all wanted burgers and well this restaurant did not carry mustard no pickles.... I don't understand that. So my kids agreed to a plain burger. So we told them plain no lettuce no tomato no nothing just cheese. My kids got vegetables and Mayo. Vegetables were shredded and chopped and stuck in cheese but was able to make my kids happy by taking time removing it. Except the Mayo was soaked into the bread. She gladly replaced it. Next thing we all got our plates except one of our guest. His plate didn't arrive till maybe 15 minutes after ours. It was just a bad experience. Not to mention some drugged up dude passed out in front of the restaurant and cops were there. I would of gave them 0 stars but they gave us a discount since so many things went wrong, I gave them 1 star. There's still more to my story but I will just leave it at that. I would not try this place out ever again.

Ordered a 52.00 Birria pizza no onions no cilantro called them today and they asked did you still eat it. Ridiculous!!! I’m sorry mam there’s nothing we can do to fix it. Never again!!!! 2nd time ordering. First time was awesome but they just lost a customer. I will be going to Joes less expensive and much better food called this establishment because they were on door dash. Again never again!

Ordered ahead the birria tacos with rice and beans and a horchata, long with queso and guacamole. I would not recommend these birria tacos to anyone, not even someone I don’t like. They were soggy and not grilled enough and they gave me absolutely no cilantro, onions or limes? Even tho the pictures they put on Doordash advertise that?? The guacamole just didn’t taste very good, flavor wise and they filled the container only half way and still charged $7 for it?!?! And the queso was good but it was halfway hardened up when I received it. The horchata was pretty good but everything else brought my rank of the food down to a 1. Don’t know why people in a Facebook Lubbock foodie group recommended this place for Birria tacos cause it ain’t it! Go to Colimas on 50th instead!

I ordered through Uber eats. The food was not fresh and did not taste good at all. I ordered carne asada fries and the fries were undercooked and guacamole was old. Definitely do not recommend.
