Had a glass of El Molino wine while dining at a local restaurant and immediately knew I had to check out their winery. Lily was extremely accommodating and gave us a tour on such short notice. She was fabulous! We had an amazing experience at this authentic winery and will come back to visit whenever we are in Napa!
A hidden Napa valley gem in St Helena, small and quaint and rich in history. Learn how wine was (and still is here) made only with gravity (no pumps) to make wine. Owner Jon Berlin gave us a tour and shared tastings of his Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. LOVED the Chardonnay which exhibits classic notes of a beautiful Chardonnay from Burgundy!

Had their wine at a St. Helena restaurant. Stopped by early morning and gate was closed so we buzzed in and Jon said tours were only by appointment, they were currently closed but agreed to open up so we could buy some wine. He made room for a tour the next day and it was fabulous. Old time gravity process, no pumps, small family run business with an atmosphere from the 50's before Napa wine was big business. Even a chicken coop on the property. Highly recommended.
Highly recommended for those who seek out old-school wineries and traditional Burgundian-style wines. These wines and this experience are refreshingly earnest and seemingly unconcerned with trends. 800 cases each of chardonnay and pinot noir. The owners run every aspect of the winery including the hospitality. Did I mention these wines are phenomenal?!
Extraordinary wines and winery tour - tours and tasting at this small family-owned winery are all done by the owner/winemakers themselves and was exactly what we were looking for in Napa. Jon is passionate about his winery and the wine he is making (excellent burgundy-style chardonnay and pinot) and makes the winery and the wine making experience really come to life. Highly, highly recommend the wines and the tour (by appointment only).
El Molino Winery - a must For anyone exploring the valley; start here for a tour with a personal touch which is ideal for filling in any gaps in your oenology knowledge. Jon expertly brought each stage of the winemaking process to life: vine and vat, barrel and bottle; as we strolled from one to the other. He is clearly a master craftsman and natural guide. All this in the picturesque setting of one of California’s oldest wineries, which has passed from one generation to the next for almost 150 years and the traditions continue, including the foot treading, clearly all with good reason. The wine itself: both the Pinot and Chardonnay have all the elegance of their best French ancestors, but with a life that is Napa! Not to be missed!
Absolutely amazing experience here. Top tier walk through with the owner and the wine is so good. Can't wait to drink what we bought and come back again someday!
Great wine, one of the oldest. Need to understand gravity fed harvesting. The owners are the best
2019 Pinot Noir. Am I tasting a Burgundian grand cru?
One of the best winery visits in Napa

Terrible experience and terrible owner.
Stopped by for a wine tasting and encountered a very hostile person who seemed to be a representative of the winery. According to this person wine tasting is only by appointment. When made aware that this is not stated anywhere via Google search, he became very irrate. Beware very poor customer service at best.
