Después de tanto tiempo queriendo ir,. Ya admiten tarjetas de método de pago. Un recepcionista muy amigable y afable. Dentro del local, como lo imaginaba, ambiente Cubano y son Cubano. Comida excelente, con buenos precios y muy bien servidas. Para mi lo único un poco fuera de lo normal, los precios de las bebidas, un poco elevado. En general excelente para repetir.
De sabor muy bueno y presentación. Con música en vivo. Los cumples te dan una tarta con un horno de abeja 🐝 muy chulo. Buenas atención.
Excelente lugar para escuchar buena música. La atención es perfecta. El show con ritmo cubano en vivo le da el toque especial en una ciudad como Madrid. Los tragos son excelentes, el Mojito mi favorito. Siempre que puedo vuelvo
He ido ya varias veces y he de decir que tienen pros y contras, la comida está deliciosa y me parece que calidad, precio y tamaño está súper bien, la música en vivo es muy buena los músicos son de calidad igual que el sonido, contras la barra es extremadamente pequeña y prácticamente casi nunca hay espacio, por lo que si solo vas a tomar algo si no hay espacio en la barra tienes que mirar dónde hacerte, las mesas son solo para las personas que van a comer lo que me parece que tiene sentido, después de las 23:00 si hay una mesa libre te dejan sentarte ahí, porque creo que después de esa hora ya no hay cocina, o al menos siempre después de esa hora hemos conseguido sentarnos en una mesa, ya sobre las 24:00 es más fiesta, lo malo entra mucha gente que ya viene de beber, y se pone todo menos agradable, porque el lugar es muy pequeño, lo de los baños también es un tema, que para personas con movilidad reducida imposible y puede ser hasta un poco inseguro ya que está bajando unas escaleras, en un lugar apartado ya del salon. Pero bueno si no tienes problema con eso está bien, en gerenal es un lugar para pasar un buen rato. El coste de los cócteles también aumenta 2€ después de las 23:30. El servicio a mi por menos siempre me ha ido bien con la gente de barra y con los camareros.
Un lugar espectacular con un ambiente super acogedor y agradable. Fuimos con una amiga y se come genial las raciones son excelentes,la atención también bastante atenta y servicial. Además cuentan con música en directo !!🎉 nos ha encantado y por supuesto que volveremos😊
Noche increíble, con buen ambiente, la comida buenísima y los mojitos de los mejores que he probado. Sin duda volveré a repetir más veces. También destacar el trabajo de David el gerente que iba con traje pendiente de todo, tanto del servicio , como de los clientes y los músicos. Nos resolvió varias dudas que teníamos y estuvo atento a todas las necesidades del local.
Un sitio ideal y con mucho encanto sí te gusta la cocina Cubana. Plan perfecto a la salida de cualquiera de los espectáculos que ofrece la Gran Vía madrileña. Buenas elaboraciones, comida exótica y rica, y restaurante con un ambiente que te deja un buen recuerdo y ganas de volver. Lo recomiendo mucho
Un lugar maravilloso para disfrutar de la auténtica comida cubana. Los platos son sabrosos y variados, incluso con excelentes opciones vegetarianas. Las bebidas están espectaculares, el servicio es amable y cercano, y el ambiente con música en vivo crea una energía única. Me encantó la experiencia y sin duda quiero volver!

I didn't eat there. We went there for the music and dancing. It was a very lovely time.
Tasty Cuban food. We shared the tres leches cake for dessert between 3 of us and it was delicious and more than a big enough portion size. Delightful live salsa music and even though there wasn't much, there was some space to dance. Had a very fun time. Drinks do seem on the more expensive side but everything else is great.
Great atmosphere, Live latin music. Cocktails were over the bad side, pricey . I don't mind paying for something at least good, we tried the mojito's and the daikiri could not taste the rum. Drink something else( maybe wine or beer) The food was ok, ropa vieja, masas fritas and cuban tamales totally recommend , yuca frita meh! I wouldnT take kids at least not at night, only because the music is loud and gets very crowded, busy but not in bad way . Excellent Cuban Restaurant in the center of Madrid. The service is always good and very relaxed. I recommend the Ropa Vieja, tamales, Masas de Cerdo Frita y frijoles coloraos. I really hope this place remains opened for a long time.
Friendly staff, except our waitress, who thought that she needed to have a stern look on her face while working. How did I know? She told me. The food was good, specially the pork. The list of drinks was extensive, and they were good. The music really created the ambiance. So much so, that we were completed to stand up and dance. A group of young women gathered for a bachelorette's party asked me to dance with the bride to be. At first the bride stated that she didn't know how, but then she loosened up, and had a great time on the dance floor. Reservations are a must.
Excellent location and Cubana food. Love the deco of the place, must try restaurant in Madrid. Better bring the cash as no CC are accepted. Price wise is fair but not economic. Started music at 9 pm and I enjoyed it during dinner time.
We left Spain but I so wish I could come back here. Great food, great atmosphere and value for money especially compared to some of the overpriced restaurants nearby that overdecorate their restaurant to justify their price. Estuvimos en el restaurante el 28 de febrero a las 14:00 mi familia y yo, y en líneas generales, tuvimos una experiencia bastante positiva. 📍Lugar muy simbólico en lo que a cultura cubana se refiere, muy lograda toda la decoración convirtiéndose en un restaurante acogedor y tranquilo (al menos a esas horas, ya que a partir de las 17:00 empieza la música en directo, lo malo es que no nos pudimos quedar… 🙋♂️ En referencia a la atención, de la cuál puede leer en reseñas algunas quejas, decir que todo fue sobre ruedas, no tuvimos ningún inconveniente más allá de tener que pedir dos bebidas un par de veces. El personal fue atento, sobre todo una chica que entiendo era la jefa de sala, siempre va con una sonrisa. La chica que nos atendió en mesa como tal, sin más, se limitaba a hacer su trabajo, bien hecho, pero sin nada a destacar. 🍽️ Pedimos: - Tequeños. - Yucas a la huancaiana (salsa picante 2/5) - Ropa vieja x2 - Arroz a la cubana x2 - Mousse de chocolate blanco A destacar: la yuca, la ropa vieja y el postre. Los tequeños, vajo mi punto de vista bastante flojos, aunque la mermelada de guayaba que traían, estaba buena. 💶 El precio por persona ronda los 36€ una relación calidad-precio correcta teniendo en cuenta la localización y la experiencia en general. ⚠️ Como puntos a destacar, quizás que estuvieron bastante atentos a la hora de traernos una trona para nuestra hija y luego no pusieron problema en calentarle su comida. Baños limpitos. 💙 En resumen, un sitio recomendable para ir con pareja, amig@s o familia. Volveré sin dudarlo, a poder ser en horario de tarde/noche para verlo desde otro punto de vista. Sábado en ese horario, estaba bastante tranquilo, había varias mesas libres.
Muy buena experiencia en La Negra Tomasa. El ambiente es fantástico, con música en vivo y una energía que se disfruta desde el primer momento. La comida, además, está realmente buena, muy por encima de lo que uno espera en un local con tanto protagonismo musical. El grupo en vivo es espectacular, de verdad no defraudan y hacen que la noche merezca la pena. El único punto a mejorar es que, a cierta hora, retiran las mesas para habilitar la pista de baile. Entiendo el concepto y forma parte del plan, pero estaría bien que lo indicaran claramente al hacer la reserva. Solo se mantienen las mesas laterales, que recomiendo pedir expresamente al reservar para no tener que cargar con todas las cosas durante la noche. Aun así, volvería sin dudarlo, reservando mesa lateral. Muy recomendable si buscas buena música, buen ambiente y disfrutar de la experiencia completa.
He vuelto a disfrutar de ir a La Negra Tomasa. La comida es muy buena y el ambiente, como siempre, increíble. Sin embargo, el servicio debería mejorar hay que pedir las cosas varias veces para que lleguen, y los camareros a veces te presionan un poco para que liberes la mesa. Esto desentona un poco con el ambiente y con la calidad de la cocina, que es excelente. Lo recomiendo, pero mejor comer rápido!

Ubicación excepcional, ambiente bueno, decoracion muy chula y música en vivo. La comida y los cócteles muy ricos. Le daría un 10 si no fuera porque tienes un tiempo establecido para comer y en cuanto acaba te echan a la barra. Lo entiendo, porque es un local pequeño para la cantidad de gente que va y es un negocio, pero el trato con el cliente lo estropean bastante para lo chulo que es el sitio y la comida tan rica. Igualmente muy recomendable

Estos se presentan con guisos sencillos, caseros, pero muy sabrosos, donde carne, arroz, frijoles y plátano van de la mano . • El plato emblemático es el “Negra Tomasa”: lechón asado acompañado de yuca, mojo de ajo, arroz blanco y frijoles. Otros clásicos recomendados incluyen ropa vieja, arroz con picadillo habanero, ensaladas como yucas a la huancaína y tequeños, arepas y tostones caribeños . • En cuanto a los postres, destacan sabores tropicales como mousse de chocolate blanco, dulce de coco, piña asada o tarta tres leches . • Los cócteles son un punto fuerte: mojitos, daiquiris y margaritas elaborados con ingredientes naturales brillan en carta; en concreto, el mojito es muy valorado como acompañamiento ideal. I went for just one drink to check out the place and it was 10€ for a cocktail, 5€ for a water. The music was live and fun. The space is very small, so if you’re arriving just for a drink and to watch it’s a bit of a squeeze to get a view of the band and stay out of the way of the people dancing (also fun to watch!) and out of the way of the waiters going to and from the main part of the bar. By midnight the dancing picked up and you will be asked to dance (sadly I didn’t know how to) so if you dance to Latin music definitely check it out! I stayed around 2 hours and enjoyed myself and would return
La Negra Tomasa is the place to go if you’re into Latin music, dancing, and a high-energy vibe in central Madrid. There’s a real dance floor where people are actually dancing, not just standing around. I went on a Thursday and they had live music, which was fantastic! Perfect for salsa, bachata, or just having a fun, music-filled night. Beers start at €8, but the atmosphere makes it absolutely worth it. Highly recommended if you’re looking to dance, meet people, and enjoy Latin culture in the city.
We tried to book this place for a couple of days, but it wasn't successful. So we went to this restaurant when it opened at 8 pm without a reservation. Luckily, there was a table, we had food and drinks!! Cuban live music was playing from 9pm. Also, all the dishes we ordered were great and they have delicious pina colada!!!! When we went out of the restaurant around 10.30 pm, there were a lot of people waiting outside to get inside!
Great place to go for live music. Ambience was fantastic. Many people got up from their tables and danced. Food was pretty good and they DO accept card payments now despite what the other reviews in the past say.

Estuvimos en la noche del 14 dic y ha sido decepcionante , nos dijo la camarera q la reserva era por 2 horas, en tiendo q te tienes q levantar de la mesa porque en la barra no hay sitio para todos, nada q ver con lo que era antes, la nueva deciracion no nos ha gustado , la música grabada muy alta a penas puedes pedir ni escuchar al camarero , los precios altísimos una cerveza Alhambra de botellín a 8 eur , el tamal 12.50 y no nos ha gustado nada , ya sabemos q lo hacen con maíz dulce y le disimulan el sabor con la Sazón cubana pero este no tenia, por encima perejil y a un lado un cuenco pequeño con queso ???? tan rico q es el mojo cubano , el congris con yuca y cerdo bien sin más… una pena con la cantidad de años que llevamos visitando La Negra Tomasa y esta última no ha valido la pena , qué disgusto , no disfrutamos nada , tanto q en medio de la música en directo con lo que nos gusta , nos hemos ido , esperamos que vuelva a ser lo de antes .
Lo han reformado y para mí gusto a peor... La comida buena pero menos abundante que antes, los cócteles muy buenos. La música bastante alta ( era pronto, aún no había comenzado la música en directo) y hacia frío dentro del local. En cuanto al servicio, camareros muy sonrientes pero en mi caso tengo una alergia alimentaria y varios platos de la carta llevan mostaza y no hubo manera de que me los pudieran adaptar. El sándwich cubano lleva mostaza y no me lo pudieron hacer sin mostaza??? No entendí muy bien. La ensalada de los tostones lleva mostaza, no pudieron hacérmela sin mostaza?? En fin... Una pena. Cuando quise cambiar un plato por empanadas, no quedaban ( domingo noche 20:30)... Un local que me encantaba ... Lo dicho, una pena
We walked in because we heard the music from the street. The food was delicious, but the table service was very poor—honestly, the staff seemed rather unfriendly. The low rating is also due to the lack of space; the place is very small, even though the ambitions seem much bigger. On the positive side, the restroom was clean, and the drink I ordered, although expensive, was large and tasted perfect.

The food is good and affordable, as a restaurant I recommend it. As a poace to attend the concert and dance as a soial, I don't recommend it. It is expensive, and ypu don't get to dance at all unless you know somebody in beforehand. I did not get the best vibes (mind you, it was a thursday and a sunday).
The live music and festive atmosphere were nice and the service was good too. Improvements can be made with the food as it is a bit on the pricier end, so value for money was expected. I ate the shrimp tacos which could have been more flavorful. A friend really enjoyed her ropa vieja and margarita. The guac and piña colada were just OK. I liked the tres leches cake and it was the highlight of my dinner.

El sitio está genial . Solo que uno de los camareros fue bastante prepotente y maleducado ya que al pedir la posibilidad de bailar en un espacio cerca del espacio del escenario me dijo que ese espacio solo está reservado para las personas que consumen comida y al yo decirles que estaba vacío y que sin embargo había unas personas utilizando dicho espacio , me dijo que estaban consumiendo comida Ali que le respondí que no era cierto puesto que no había comida alguna
Es una lástima que en un lugar tan agradable donde se come bien el personal sea tan desagradable y grosero. Tuvimos q pedir la cuenta mas de 5 veces, se la pedimos a otra mesera nadie nos registraba.. cuando la trajo solo tiro el ticket en la mesa y se retiro.. para pagar tuvimos despues de mucha espera q levantarnos e ir a la barra, vale destacar q el sitio no estaba lleno y completo. Habían mesas vacías. Es una lástima por q TODO lo cobran demasiado alto como para no ofrecer un servicio acorde al precio de estar allí.. Ojala los dueños puedan mejorar esto por q este mismo suceso y en la misma tarde vimos lo mismo.con 3 mesas. Solo por eso no lo recomiendo lo único destacaba es la banda en vivo q lo.dan todo.
Lo que en otro tiempo fue un local amable y de buen ambiente, hoy es un sitio incómodo vigilado por cuatro personas que se comportan como auténticos matones. Pedir 4 copas, pagar 50 euros por adelantado, ni una palabra, tomarte la copa de pie dandote codazos con todo el mundo y solo miradas de exconvicto reconvertido en camarero que te obligan a tomar la copa en un microespacio. Respeto es lo mínimo. No amigos, eso no es Cuba.
We entered with high hopes for live music, but the experience was disappointing. Meal portions are very small for the price, and they don’t prepare drinks outside the menu. Once we realized the portions were not worth it, we decided to only have drinks. Despite it being 17:00, we were told we couldn’t stay at the table because there was a reservation at 19:00, and they tried to move us to the bar. This made no sense, as we were only planning to have a few drinks and would clearly have left well before then. It felt as though drinking cocktails for two hours was somehow considered worse than ordering food. In the end, we paid €72 for six drinks... a total joke.
Wow, we have never been treated so rudely by a bartender before! Especially in Spain where they are normally so friendly. It was honestly a shock. So first the rudeness then when we bought our 10 euro drink it was so full of ice we had 2 sips and it was gone, very, very insulting. We tried to talk to them about it but they truly DO NOT CARE. So unfortunately for us, we wasted money and left before the music started.
Seems like a fun place, very crowded. Bar staff is crazy rude and the drinkssre a complete waste at 10 euro, all ice, two sips and gone. Forget the place.
I had a reservation but when I came to the place I was told “sorry guapa no tengo mesa por ti” and I had to leave because there was no space at the bad either. The staff were pretty rude. The band is really nice and the music is lovely as well. The host outside is friendly.
This bar charges double what you pay anywhere in the center. Their live music is very mediocre and service rude. 8 euro for a beer worth 3-4 euro in most places. Big Rip off. Stay away.
