The food was so good! The area is a little busy but’s it is always like that so not much to complain. Their food is so perfectly seasoned and freshly made never given cold food. I would recommend Dave’s Hot Chicken to anyone.
Very tight seating, in addition to tight line lane. This place seemed to be very popular and the long line went by quickly. The flavor of the chicken, the tenderness and freshness are all reasons why I rated a 5. I didn’t know what to expect sauce wise, an employee described it similar to canes sauce. As a saucy girl myself, I would feel the more accurate description is a honey mustard sauce. They have outdoors seating in addition to indoors. This was a good place to try but I don’t see myself craving it anytime soon.
I had an awesome experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken! The food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the fries were spot on. What really stood out though was the customer service. The staff was friendly, patient, and made sure my order was exactly how I wanted it. You can tell they actually care about the customers and keeping things running smoothly. The whole vibe was welcoming and upbeat. Definitely coming back again. If you’re craving hot chicken and great service, this is the spot! 🔥
First timer here and it was delicious! Got the sliders, wings and the mac n chz.....all which were good. Location is small with limited seating but they do have outside seating.
I love this chicken and I always will. I just hate that I cant afford it more often, Its very rare when I can get it but when I do WOW is it worth it every time. Please do more promotions like the Fallout one. Stop waiting and go get some now!

Initially, I hesitated, thinking it might just be another fried chicken joint, but I’m so glad we decided to go. The place was buzzing with energy, and now I understand why—it’s truly worth the hype! The food is exceptional! While it's comparable to Raising Cane's Chicken, Dave's brings a unique twist with their flavorful seasoning options. I went for the plain chicken sliders—simple yet so satisfying—and my daughter opted for the mild hot chicken sliders, which she absolutely loved. And let’s talk about the fries! They were absolutely delicious, and the sauce that accompanies them is a must-try. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection, making our dining experience a memorable one. We will definitely be returning in the future to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a tasty chicken fix!
I had the Reaper Chicken Sandwich and it was delicious! Chicken was moist and the slaw was a good addition. It's definitely worth signing the waiver! The staff were friendly.
Good Juicy chicken , customize it for your spice level, their fries are also different, think but very nice , their pickles are less sour, which I like , I like their Teas too , generally you don’t see them these kind of restaurants, but the main winer is their fried chicken with their signature souse , the restaurant is little noisy so I always try to sit outside but that’s not possible in summer , need to reduce the noise of the music a bit.
Reached 30 mins before closing and to my surprise it was still packed at that time (10:30 on a Monday. Ordered tender and a slider in medium heat with fries and large drink. It’s made to order super hot and fresh. Kids loved it and wife did too what else can you ask for. Recommended.

The chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the spice levels are great for any preference — from mild to seriously hot. The sliders and fries are my go-to, and they never miss! The restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is fun, and the staff is super friendly and efficient. You can tell they care about providing great service. Definitely one of my favorite spots for a quick and delicious meal. Highly recommend!
Had a nice first experience here, the staff were friendly and polite. The walls were nicely decorated although the restaurant is small with limited indoor seating, the food was good. The fries were crisp and the chicken tenders were huge, I was definitely satisfied with my meal although it does not come with a drink. (Download the app for a free drink voucher).
Our first time trying Dave's hot chicken in San Antonio. It was fresh and had lots of flavor the atmosphere was down-to-earth, loved it and we'll be back again soon.
The manager and workers were very friendly, kind & quick. They made great conversation. & All the workers seemed to get along and laugh with each other as well, that’s a great sign of a good work environment. Our food was ready in a timely manner & everything came out perfect! 🫶🏼

Yesterday, I decided to order some Dave’s Hot Chicken through the Favor app, and let me tell you—it was delicious! The chicken had the perfect crunch and just the right amount of seasoning, and their special Dave’s sauce was amazing! Some restaurants disappoint me with their fries—either they give too few or they just aren’t that good—but that wasn’t the case here. They were fresh, tasty, and the portion was just right. I ordered 10 bites, and they were a great size too! And to top it all off, the pickles were fresh and delicious!

Chicken was great! There are several levels ranging from No Spice to Reaper. I got the middle one, "Hot." It was perfect for me. The fries were very good, too. They have indoor seating a lot of outdoor seating as well. Overall, it was a great experience as the people at the counter were very helpful and polite. Will return! :)

Service and atmosphere is nice. Prices are decent. I had the 2 chicken tenders, which came with fries. Seasoning was nice and the 2 pieces filled me up.
We walked in and we were greeted right away. We ordered our food and went to the drink station. There was no ice so we had to drink warm drinks. We found an empty table and it was pretty gross, but we cleaned the table and sat. A few minutes later our meal was called. We both got a #4 single slider with a side. The bread was soft and fresh, the chicken crunchy, tender and juicy with nice bright veggies! We also ordered some Fries, they were perfect, crunchy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside with great seasoning. We also ordered the mac and cheese and it was surprisingly good creamy and cheesy, but could have use some pepper IMO. It was a bit loud and felt a little cramped but it was OK. All in all it was a good experience and we would def return.
Fries 7/10.... seasoned crinkle cut Pickles 10/10... crispy and cold Slaw 7/10.... wilted and soggy Chicken 5/10... Strips are large, which is a huge thumbs up. Strips were not seasoned properly making them bland to the taste. Taste comes more from sauces rather than the chicken. Spent $85 meals and drinks.
I went to Dave’s Hot Chicken expecting the food to be mediocre but it was surprisingly really good. Walking into the restaurant was kind of odd. As soon as you open the entrance door, there are people sitting at the tables eating, which was kind of different. The walkway to order is very small and does not accommodate a larger person. I think that they should move the Benches up a little bit so you can stand in line comfortably while waiting to order. When I got to the register, the sweetest young lady assisted me by the name of Zae. She was very friendly, respectful and helpful. It was my first time there and she gave me a quick rundown and was very efficient. The chicken came out hot and fresh and I was surprised by how big the tenders were. I was expecting something different though because it was not sauces but rather spicy seasoned. Overall it was a good experience. Just the lobby is a very tight fit and the walk way needs to be more accommodating. Def will come back, might try eating outside next time.
Food was great. Very flavorful and fresh. Was pretty busy but still got our food in about 10 minutes. Was expecting a longer wait for the amount of people. Slightly on the pricey side, but would recommend.

We went for the very first time and we were excited. We ordered our food. I got the 18 piece flight wings with fries $20. My husband got the 2 sliders combo and a drinks total with a tip $47. They didn’t get our name or give us a buzzer that other people had so we waited 25 mins before my husband had to get up and ask. They had our order name under Chris which is weird in itself. But the really awful part was the chicken. Was it fresh yes was it flavorless also yes. My husband didn’t like his chicken at all and I tried it too and it was awful. It has absolutely no salt and was bland. The only wings I enjoyed were the hot honey ones which I would eat again. As for the barbecue they were so spicy and not in a good way. The buffalo were okay. I only finished my hot honey. We won’t be back honestly. If you’re looking for good chicken I’d go elsewhere.
