My son and I LOVE Sea World! I have my Teacher Pass, but I paid for the annual pass for Aquatica too which was about $32 with tax! Not bad for a yearly pass! My son loves the rides, and I love the animals! We went in January (the water rides were closed), but there were hardly any lines for rides! We got to ride everything multiple times!
First off be prepared for lines ...wait times can be so crazy. I recommend buying fast pass/quick que for rides. We went during October Halloween Events and it was so much fun. Haunted Houses were fun and scary. The entire park was so neat at night. If you have a little one or any one who does not want to be frightened by a staff member while walking the park. You can purchase Do Not Disturbe gravestone necklaces or ghost necklaces that light up. The staff member knows not to jump scare them. Now if your worried about one person wearing the necklace and you have other people that want to be scared...dont worry they will still scare you. My son had a necklace and I walked with him ...they did not scare him at all but they sure did scare me. Now the Haunted houses are pretty much in every location of the park. We really enjoyed this theme park during Halloween. Tons of different characters walking around to scare people. We had fun.
Had a great time doing Beluga Whale Tours and Tortise tours. My young kids loved that in that they got to touch some of their favorite animals. Season pass is great if you go at least 2 times a year. A few free passes for family memebers and parking is included with pass.
Went on a school holiday. Park was clean and staff friendly. Some rides are still closed until spring but the kids had a blast!! The animals seem genuinely happy and the trainers seemed to enjoy themselves as well.
I absolutely loved the shows and I loved the haunted houses. The waits are kind of long. Don't recommend standing around if your heavily pregnant like me. But I suffered and managed lol because I wanted to enjoy as much as I could before our baby arrives. Nobody touches you very safe. Haunted houses not recommended for children or babies obviously. Safe enjoyable and fun for all. The shows were amazing.
A fantastic park that allows entertainment while saving animals. The show are entertaining, the food passes are a great way to try different things, and we love the education about all of the different species. We like their app and how you can see the show of from times so we can plan better what we want to see. It is a time saver. We went twice over their Christmas season ans loved the nativity show. Very well done. I absolutely loved that they kept their holiday shows going through to the new year so more could see everything (unlike another local park, which resulted in an extra visit from us). I plan on trying one of their encounters next.
I hadn't been in 20 years, what fun! The Orca show was great, they provide upbeat music while the orcas jump. We ate at the BBQ place outside of the Orca show. I had the Chicken with salad side and red velvet cupcake. Yum! Very filling. They have rides, an arcade and 0lenty of shows to fill the day. Great place.
I visited SeaWorld during the Christmas holiday week and would like to share feedback on same. Due to the holiday season, there was a very heavy crowd, with a large number of families and young children gathered primarily for the Christmas lighting events. While this was expected, the crowd and queue management for rides could have been handled more efficiently. Although the staff on the ground appeared to be trying their best, there was a clear lack of coordination. For example, on rides such as Atlantis and Steel Eel, we consistently observed 6–8 empty seats per ride. These seats could have been utilized by allowing single riders to fill gaps, which would have significantly reduced wait times. Our group split up and attempted rides individually based on preference, yet each ride still took close to 1-1.5 hours.(Refer to the attached image in review).During this time, we noticed many families with young children leaving disappointed after being unable to complete even two rides. The cost of the visit also added to the disappointment. The entry fee was $61 per person, and general parking was $41. With this pricing, a reasonable expectation would be the ability to experience at least a few rides. However, it became apparent that completing more rides was only feasible by paying an additional $41 for Quick access. This made the experience feel heavily oriented toward paid add-ons rather than guest satisfaction. While the parade was enjoyable, the overall experience did not meet expectations considering the total cost and time invested. I hope this feedback reaches management and contributes to improvements in future peak-season operations. Based on this experience, I will need to reconsider visiting again.
Christmas Eve at SeaWorld San Antonio was truly a dream come true! 🎄✨ The lights, the decorations, the Christmas songs everywhere, and the joyful atmosphere made it feel like we stepped into a holiday movie. Every corner was full of magic, music, and Christmas spirit. The shows were beautiful, the carols touched the heart, and the whole park felt alive with happiness. Absolutely unforgettable and perfect for families. 💖
There are several rides andshows to watch. I watched the Beluga and Orca shows, it's an experience of lifetime. It's interesting to see how they are well trained. When you go to Orca show, if you seat close the water, for sure you're going to get wet with water. Several concessions thru the park where you can buy food and drinks. There gifts stores, where you can buy a souvenir for your visit. Be prepared to expend money, as a theme park, are high, so two pizzas and two sodas, will be $ 34.99, expensive, but worth to expend. Park is cashless, so you must have a debit or a credit card. A must go place.
While SeaWorld San Antonio has less coasters than its crosstown rival, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, this is because, when it comes to coasters, SeaWorld employs a strategy of quality over quantity. As a result, there is not a bad coaster in this park. Steel Eel is packed full of airtime, from its first drop, to its return to the station. Texas Stingray is fast and full of thrills but is not rough, a challenging feat for a wooden coaster. Wave Breaker: The Rescue Coaster is a fun and well-themed family coaster, and Great White, while hardly unique to this park, is a fun and thrilling compact coaster. They also have a new water coaster, Catapult Falls, a great flat ride in Tidal Surge, a huge S&S Screaming Swing that extends over the lake for some great views, and most recently, a new coaster, Beach Rescue Racer, that blurs the line between a kid and family coaster. And when you want a break from riding thrill rides or just from the hot Texas sun, SeaWorld San Antonio has a miniature aquarium in between Steel Eel and Wave Breaker that makes a nice and interesting way to pass the time. Plus the lake makes for a very aesthetically pleasing park, and they are building a new family coaster, Barracuda Strike, which ensures we will be coming back. They also have the animal shows here that have made SeaWorld famous, however, we have not attended any of these shows, so I cannot comment on those. In short, SeaWorld San Antonio, while overshadowed by its crosstown rival, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, packs a lot of fun for its size, and should not be missed.
I had an amazing experience at SeaWorld San Antonio! The place is clean, organized, and perfect for families and friends. The shows were incredible, especially the dolphins and orcas — truly memorable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always making sure everyone was having a good time. The rides were fun, the atmosphere was great, and everything felt safe and well-managed. Overall, it was a wonderful day and definitely worth the visit. I highly recommend SeaWorld San Antonio for anyone looking for a fun and unforgettable experience!
We had a superb experience at the park! We saw the full lineup of incredible marine shows, featuring the dolphins, seals, and orcas, and enjoyed walking through the detailed aquariums. For thrill-seekers, the park also boasts several exciting roller coasters and a refreshing water attraction. To top it off, they now offer special Halloween events! If you want to participate in the seasonal fun, access can be purchased separately for the SeaWorld Halloween experience. Highly recommend a visit!
I loved the killer whale show, but it was hard to find things and they didn’t have many animals. The shows because we went during Christmas. They were pretty awesome but all the shows either started at 4:30 or eight so you had to really know where they were and go to them. It was mostly set up around rides versus animals other than the whale show which was amazing.
Don’t buy the all day dine in online. They made me buy it again in person so I ended up paying twice! Still haven’t figured out how to get my refund for this double payment. They put the shows at the same time so you can only watch one and don’t have time to see the other. Don’t buy the refill cups and the all day dine in because you get drinks with the all day dine in anyways. I liked the Orcas and the giant sea turtles. I didn’t have time to see the rest. Might be worth for your kids to do the experiences to meet up close with animals. They had the Halloween theme going on. The professional photos they take at the entrance and other spots don’t show up on the QR code unless you visit some office at the park which is lame! Also they are gone the next day so you can only get the photos the day of the visit. This makes no sense. You get once a year free entry for Military families.
Always love Sea World, but the prices have gotten astronomical!!! $18 for a drink. And then we have yearly passes and cups and popcorn bowls and still have to spend $25 for $1.00 refills for the day. And the taste of the food is HORRIBLE. Eat before you go!!
Everything was amazing, but it was so crowded for an off-season visit. There were not enough people working in the food areas so the lines were SOOO long and moving so slowly. Platinum members still do not get a line skipping option at the front gate so just getting in takes forever, no matter your membership level. The shows are so great, and they almost make it worth it, but everything is very overpriced. I got a bottle of sprite and a bottle of Dasani water and it was 12.63. 😵💫 They need more staff to move things along more quickly.
It's a beautiful park, and the animals are well cared for. Howl-o-Scream is really nice too. I wish there was more time during that event and that the food options were open later so that we could actually take advantage of the All Day Dining deal. Drinks were yummy and I loved the blood bags and jello shots.
Our nieces and nephew had a great time. They really enjoyed seeing the dolphins and the killer whales. The rides were fun but it seemed like the turn around for getting the rides moving tool longer than necessary. The haunted house mazes were very fun and we were glad that we didn't have to pay extra for that.
Overall it was a good experience. The big issue that needs addressed is the quick que system. We were taken back that we all had to keep track of either a paper ticket or have your phone for all rides. We went as a family of 6 and my 2 younger children do not have phones. They should do a wristband or something similar like the do with the all day dining. The all day dining was well worth the money for us and I highly encourage it if you plan to eat in the park.
The lights are good ocra Whale show was the highlight. Rides are good and they run them until park closure. Below are needs improvement 1. The app map is not good at all it gives wrong direction when you try to walk this requires immediate rectification. 2. No customer kiosk to guide we have to walk everywhere in wrong direction and if map works better then all will be good 3. No drinking water fountain. We have to buy water. No vending machine also. 4. Show timing where given the app but for some shows there where additional shows which was not properly updated examples sea lion 5. Food place was there but food quality can be improved. The mobile order thru app never works then why they are giving the option for the same, also place for Mobil order pickup. No use. 6. Directions board is pathetic only I saw 2-3 places board. They have to improve. Overall the park is not direction friendly and the app direction doesn't work.
Glad I got the quick queue pass but not the all you can eat cause not one place was good chicken was mush beef was rubbery everywhere we went. But everything else was fine and dandy. Good waterproof walking shoes sunblock are gonna be needed. They were issuing reentry bracelets i noticed so next time I'm packing an ice chests with treats and sandwiches cause mine are better than the food here.
Hadn’t been to SeaWorld in a few years, but we decided to take our granddaughter to check out their Halloween event — I think it’s called Fright Night or Hallow Scream or something like that. Honestly, it wasn’t very organized. We were mostly just walking around the park, and every once in a while we’d see some characters, but there wasn’t much real interaction. That’s what our granddaughter was hoping for, so she was a bit disappointed, though overall it was okay. The parking, however, was outrageous — $40 if you don’t have passes. We also bought the $15 “no-scare” necklaces for the kids so the characters wouldn’t get too close, although our granddaughter didn’t end up wearing hers the whole time. We just got it in case it was too much for her. Prices inside were ridiculous — a watered-down soda was over $12, and they didn’t even have lids or straws. Thankfully, our admission was free, because between parking and snacks we still spent close to $250. That’s just crazy.
