Funnily enough I have never eaten here in person. But I do pickup about every other month. I love the huge salads, white queso, salsa, fajitas and chocolate cake. Every time I've come to pick up food ( like 5-6 times) I haven't had to call or text when I park in the pick up parking spot. Someone always comes out immediately even when they seem busy. Also the website usually says 30-45 min until pickup but I've never had to wait that long - usually I get a text that the food is really within 10-15 min. Great service and yummy food.

Very friendly, service oriented employees! Our waitress watched our table for any sign that we might need something but not in a creepy stalker way😉. She brought fresh soda, salsa and chips before we needed them and before we were totally out of them...she was very good!! Everyone seemed very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious and served exactly as we ask for it. Very enjoyable atmosphere, reasonably priced and delicious!!

Our party of four showed up late on a Saturday night after a day at the TX Ren Fest. We completely enjoyed our meal and were just sitting around and talking with each other after dinner and suddenly realized that we were the last people in the place. We never felt rushed or like we were keeping the staff from leaving. GREAT service and good food. One of the best in Magnolia!

We were driving by and decided to pull in at 8:45 not even aware of the closing time at 9:30. The staff was so kind and not at all bothered by our arrival time. Emilio was our waiter and provided us with impeccable service! He took our entire order without a notepad, very knowledgeable on the menu and every item that came on the dish. When we received our food it was exactly how we asked for it and my goodness it was AMAZING! The entire staff moved quickly and were able to perform their closing responsibilities while maintaining excellent service to the guests around us. We are absolutely not disappointed by our last second choice to pull in a give it a try! We have certainly found our new favorite Mexican restaurant!!

Love this place, even though construction out front the place was full. We had fajitas, so good, but I would like to see more grilled peppers🌶. There was one slice. And would like to see a more tender cut of steak even though it was very tasty.

I have eaten here since the restaurant opened. The cuisine is awesome and amazing. Always consistent over two decades. Service is awesome. Margaritas are never watered down and one margarita is plenty. Furnishings are truly comfortable and air conditioning is always running comfortably.

The servers are all incredible, and the food is always super hot, fresh, and tasty. I love that they have chili gravy (we don’t have that in Dallas unfortunately), hot sauce, chips, queso, tacos, all of it, it’s all really good. It’s just a little joint, always a great experience.

Update on my review: today, we ordered to-go from here for the first time and it was our best Mexican food to-go, to date! It was hot, fast, packed perfectly. Awesome! The waitstaff was super fast and attentive, and the food was delicious! House margarita contained enough alcohol to taste, which is a step up from many restaurants! I will definitely be back.

I'm very upset with the food so Jan 29th at 10:30 pm we ordered curbside enchiladas with charrobeans and rice and flaunts so I pick it with the wife now I live hour and a half away in iola tx I get home I open the food and what do I see refried beans and sauce on the enchiladas Im Upset with order.

My daughter who is a picky eater had the Golden Tacos. She said the Tacos served here are the best she has ever had! I had the cheese enchiladas and they were delicious and the serving was generous. We each had a cocktail which were also well made. The juices used for the drinks were fresh and sweet. The service is very good and the atmosphere was pleasant. I believe this will be my favorite place to go for my Mexican food fix!

We were seated right away as a group of 16, 12 being kids. They were very friendly and completely unbothered by our kids who were restless from a long day at the renaissance faire. The food was SO good. We got the family fajitas to share and shared between 4 adults and 4 kids. We had leftovers. The Al pastor was exactly like what you’d find in Mexico, very authentic and full of flavor and cooked to perfection. *Be careful if you’re going with family around your birthday because they’re also into public humiliation to honor the birthday person. 😅

We just moved to Magnolia from Katy, and I was craving Mexican food. Rancho Grande is close to us, so we thought we would try it first. We got there at 4:30 on a Friday and we had plenty of parking. We didn't have drinks, but they had so many that looked good. We had Carnita Tacos, Chimichanga and Fajita Beef Enchiladas. The Carnitas were spot on traditional with tender meat that were crisped on a flat top. The Chimichanga and Enchiladas were excellent. We also ordered Guacamole that was thick and very good. Our servers were always pleasant and very prompt. We had Sopapias for dessert and they were super tasty. All in all, we had a fabulous experience and will definitely call this "Our Regular" Mexican restaurant.

I thought it was good overall. The meat on my Tex Mex plate could have been seasoned better but service was good for our large group and the prices were great. Would definitely come back again if ever in town.

Enjoyed a little Tex-Mex before visiting the Lone Pint Brewery. Combo fajitas were good, but beef was a little tough. Tried the chicken and shrimp diablos- those were amazing! Salsa had great flavor and tortillas are homemade. I'll visit again (although maybe in the Houston metro). Our chip guy Noe never let our basket or salsa bowls go empty. He gets an extra shout-out!

Rancho Grande has been making excellent food for a very long time. And they're very consistent. My favorite meal isn't on the menu. They took it off a long time ago, but they'll still make it if you ask. The noname enchiladas are the bomb!

Excellent salsa - warm and spicy. The chips too. Beers and ritas a bit pricey at $6 a beer and $8 a rita for smalls. Entrees were pretty good especially the flautas. Definitely would make another visit when in Magnolia.

Just had a chimichanga and my mom had the shrimp tacos. The service was fantastic! They were very friendly. Food was okay. The chimichanga comes with ground beef and it wasn't that great. It is always difficult distinguishing your standard enchilada, flauta, tacos, or chimichangas between the various Mexican restaurants splattered across the Texas landscape. It seems to be the bright colors or the catchy names that are real draws rather than the actual flavor profiles. Rancho Grande was very satisfying, with an inviting staff upon entering to a decent, stomach-filling dining experience. The food was the 4 stars I am entering and just that... 4 stars, for a slightly better than usual dinner. Our main server (older, tall gentleman) was our only area of mild discomfort. I wasn't even seated and I was immediately asked what I wanted to drink, feeling like I was a squeezed-in duty between multiple tables. Meals were placed quite abruptly on our tables with a robotic-like "anything else, ok enjoy" delivery. The bus staff, however was quite attentive with a pleasant demeanor. But the main waiter was juggling 10+ tables and whizzing around without so much a smile. As I placed the last bite of my chimichnaga plate in my mouth, my first chew was interrupted with an "excuse me" as my plate left the table faster than my second chew began. It appeared as if the bussers and other support staff could only assist if he permitted. Again, our meals were above average, it was simply our server's overall "vibe" that negatively impacted our experience. The atmosphere was appealing and prices were fair. We would definitely "consider" dining at Rancho Grande again, but we may hope for alternative service.

We wanted dinner after being at the Renaissance festival all day and something nearby. I have to say the white queso and chicharron were so good. The kids really enjoyed the pizza, but there is no picture. The chicken fajitas were dry and white meat. I didn't care for the refried beans. I would go back and try something different. I would recommend this place just on the fact that we had a party of ten and I was the only one that didn't care for my meal well myself and the person that shared the fajitas with me lol. Everyone else was completely satisfied with their meals. I will try different beans the next time.

We were a group of 7 people, celebrating my birthday. We were seated in the large room. Then the host sat about 30 baseball players and their parents. We couldn't hear each other. It was so loud that my ears hurt. Horrible experience! The waiter "apologized" and said we're busy. They could have easily sat us elsewhere. Or even offered to move us. In my opinion, there are way better places to eat with way better prices. We were seated quickly and were given a dirty highchair. There was something on the inside of my cup when they brought out my drink but quickly made me a new drink. They did make a great arnold palmer! There wasn't really anything note worthy about the food. It was good, just not worth the price.

They used to have my absolute favorite dessert of all time, tres leches cheesecake. The supplier stopped making it. That and the Mexican Champaign was the reason we used to go here every week. When we are in the mood for local Mexican food, to me this is the best old Magnolia has to offer. Place is nice, staff is nice, food is decent tasting. Plenty of parking, facility is nice. Julianna was who greeted and sat us this last visit and was very nice. Waiter was excellent as well (can't recall his name). The reason for 3 stars is I think it is rather expensive when considering the portion size you get. Also the margaritas were expensive and not good at all (almost tasted like they had an ingredient that has gone bad or something). We will go back just because it is the best option we have locally.

This place has gone downhill. I’m a supervisor at a nearby office and a group of us go often for lunch. However, this place has changed and NOT for the best. Prices have gone up and menu has changed for the worst. Also, they want to nickel and dime you for everything and truthfully the quality of the meat has also gone downhill. Worse menu, food quality, and worse prices. We won’t be going back.

We went last night on Thursday got there at 9 pm. Service was terrible they was busy cleaning to close. Food was bad had to send the apathizer back for remake. The nachos we order looked like dog food . We spend almost 100 . It was bad we will never go back we will drive to tomball to a restaurant and the thing a manager never came over and ask us about sending back our food.

Serious Safety Concern — Chemical Taste & Severe Reaction I have eaten here many times over the years and actually left a 5-star review in the past, but after what happened last night, I can’t in good conscience recommend this restaurant anymore. I ordered the nachos supreme with chicken fajita. The outer part of the plate tasted a little off, but when I got into the middle section with the lettuce, sour cream, and guacamole, I immediately tasted what can only be described as bleachy water. Within seconds my tongue started tingling and then went numb. The inside of my mouth burned and turned red and inflamed. Moments later I became violently ill and started vomiting. My lips, tongue, and face swelled, and I began wheezing. This was extremely frightening. We told the server, but there was a clear language barrier and no apology, concern, or acknowledgment of what had happened. We left quickly because I was vomiting, turned red, my lips were already swollen (within minutes), and the restaurant did not seem to understand the seriousness of the situation. Chemical contamination of food is a major safety issue. I’ve never had anything like this happen in my life. I genuinely hope this was an isolated incident, but the lack of concern or communication from staff makes it even more worrying. I will not be returning after this experience.
